Tim Walters, trumpet, is director of Jazz Studies in the departmentof music and an associate professor. His areas of specializationinclude theory, jazz studies and trumpet/brass ensembles. He isactive as a professional arrangerjcomposer, performer and clinician.His arrangements and compositions are published by the UNC JazzPress. Walters directs the Jazz Rats Big Band at FAU and teachesCommercial Music History and Jazz Theory and Arranging.
