The final residual void will serve as lagoon which may be utilized as water reservoir for the locality. The rest area will be backfilled up to the level of original ground level and most of the backfilled area shall be afforested by selecting appropriate plant species m consultation with State Forest Department.

Garland drains be provided. Garland drain of size 7. 00 x 5. OOm. and 15. 00 x 6.00 m. have been provided around the periphery of the excavated area.

Mine water should be treated for discharge in the lagoon. The quality of lagoon water shall be regularly monitored and mitigation measures taken.

Mine water after initial sedimentation in the mine sump is pumped out & collected into surface sedimentation pond for further settlement. The quality of treated water from sedimentation pond is monitored every fortnight and parameters are well within the permissible limit.

The CSR cost should be Rs. 5 per Tonnes of Coal produced which should be adjusted as per the annual inflation.

Everybody in the core area should be provided with mask for protection against fugitive dust emissions

Protective health and safety wears are provided to workmen exposed to dust namely dust mask, helmets safety boots, goggles, hand gloves etc as per DGMS specification. The workers are regularly given training on safety and health aspect ( statutory requirement under Mines Act.)

XVl l People working in the core area should be periodically tested for lung diseases and the burden of cost on account of working the coal mmearea.

Periodical Medical Examination is carried out for each employees once in 5 years for occupational disease to monitor their health so that appropriate action can be taken and reports area submitted regularly to DGMS.

XVlll The mining area should be surrounded by green belt having thick closed thick canopy of the tree cover.

Plantation has been carried out on regular basis. Total number of 6,31,205 plants, covering the area of about 252.48 ha, of different species such as Teak, Sivan, Neem, Arjun, Gulmohar, Casia, Rain tree etc.

XIX The embankment constructed along the river boundary shall be of suitable dimension and critical patches shall be strengthened by stone pitching on the river front side and stabilized with plantation so as to withstand the peak water flow and prevent mine inundation

Montiorting and management of exiting reclaimed durnpsites shall continue until the vegetation becomes self sustaining . compliance status shall be submitted to the Ministry of environment , Forest and climate change and its concerned Regiona1 Office on yearly basis.

OB excavated from the quarry area is being dumped at two earmarked sites. Le internal and external dumps plantation has already been done with density of 2500 plants/ha with local native species such as teak, sivan Neem, Arjun, Gulmohar, Casia, Rain tree etc.

XXII Catch drains and siltation ponds of appropriate size shall be constructed to arrest silt and sediment flows from soil, OB and mineral dumps. The water so coJlected shaJI be utilized for watering the mine area, roads, green belt development, etc. The drains shall be regularly de-silted and maintained properly.

Garland drains (size, gradient and length) and sump capacity shall be designed keeping 50% safety margin over and above the peak sudden rainfall and maximum discharge in the area adjoining th~J.Uine site. Sump capacity shall also provided adequate retention period to allow proper settling of silt material.

Catch drains of size 4x2 m and 3x2m has been provided along periphery of OB dump as well as soil dumps to arrest silt and sediment flows from the respective dump sites. In case of OB benches in the quarry, cross drainage has been provided which carries silt and sediment into main sump made at the floor of the seam which accumulates all the silts and act as first stage settling pond. The water then is pumped out through pumps on the surface and discharge in the settling sedimentation pond of size 40x38x0.90 m & 85x30x2 m. The clear water from the surface sedimentation pond is used for watering the mine area, roads & green belt development. The catch drain mentioned above are regularly de-silted and maintained properly.

xxm Dimension of the retaining wall at the toe of the dumps and OB benches within the mine to check run off and siltation shall be based on the rainfall data.

The run off from the OB dumps are collected in the catch drains made around the periphery of dumps ( dimensions of catch drain given above). For collecting run off and

Colony - WNON-3 Noise Quality Monitoring Stations has been shown in the enclosed plan.

(vi) Industrial waste water ( workshop and waste water from the mine) shall be properly collected, treated so as to conform to the standards prescribed under GSR 422 (E) dated 19th May 1993 and 31st December 1993 or as amended from time to time before discharge. Oil and grease trap shall be installed before discharge of workshop effluents.

Mine water after initial sedimentation in the mine sump is pumped out & collected into surface sedimentation pond for further settlement. The quality of treated water from sedimentation pond is monitored every fortnight and parameters are well within the permissible limit. Similarly effluent from workshop is treated in ETP fitted with Oil and Grease Trap and treated water is also monitored regularly through CMPDIL & MPCB. It may be mention here that there is no discharge of effluent from Workshop ETP into any surface water body. A record showing the quantity of oil collected from oil and grease trap is maintained. CMPDIL monitoring Report of Quarter Ending DEC. 2017 TO MARCH 2018 is enclosed.

(vii) Vehicular ermssions shall be kept under control and regularly monitored. Vehicles used for transporting the mineral shall be covered with tarpaulins and optimally loaded.

Vehicular emission is kept under control by routine maintenance of vehicles used m operation. Tippers carrying coal are optimally loaded and covered by tarpaulins. The company vehicles namely Jeeps, School buses, Ambulances etc. are having valid PUC certificate from RTO authorized agencies.

Periodical Medical Examination is carried out for each employees once in 5 years to monitor their health, so that appropriate action can be taken. Every worker is examined once in every five year for occupational disease as per statute known as Periodic Medical Examination (PME).

The compliance status shall also be uploaded by the project authorities in their website so as to bring the same in the public domain. The data shall also be displayed at the entrance of the project premises and mines office and in corporate office.

The proponent shall ensure to provide for the costs incurred for taking up remedial measures in case of soil contamination, contamination of groundwater and surface water, and occupational and other diseases due to the mining operations.
