Gymkhana Report 2011-2012

On behalf of gymkhana section, I welcome one and all. I am here to present

annual Gymkhana Report and the special achievements of the students.

Our college has given many well-known players to Shivaji University. It’s my

pleasure to specially mention few of them. Mr. Yuraj Jadhav got gold medal in all

India Inter University level Kho-kho Tournment for Shivaji University. Miss Meera

Fakade secured gold medal in weight lifting and Miss Madhuri Ghadage got bronze

medal in cross-country. Such kind of players are continuously giving their

contribution to Shivaji University from our institution as well as society. Behind this

there is a guidance of all the management committee members. Specially the

Chairman Hon’ble Mr. Suresh Patil is always inspiring us. With their able guidance

we have developed the grounds and courts for handball, volleyball, basketball, kho-

kho, kabaddi etc. within limited area available. Along with these latest bowling

machine for cricket, Robot machine for table tennis and barbell set for weightlifting

are also installed and provided to develop the skills of the players. Well equipped

Gymnasiam is also available for the students. Lawn-mower is also purchased by our

college to maintain the lawn. By using all these modern facilities we are sure that

bright and skilled player’s will be born through our society. International leveled

players like Chess-master Mr. Sameer Kathamale and weightlifter Mr. Swapnil

Ghagare are also rising stars of our institution.

1. The young woman weight lifter lifted 130 kg and got 2nd

prize in Shivaji

University’s Interzonal weightlifting competition at Kurundwad.

2. Got Gold medal in All India Inter university level weightlifting competition at

Amritsar.

1. Secured 1st position in Shivaji University Interzonal Athletic competition in

1500m, 5000m, 10000m running and 2nd

March, 2012 at

Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony. We are very much happy with gratitude

that we have got full co-operation from Hon. Principal, Vice-principal,

Gymkhana Commiittee members, all the teaching and non-teaching staff

along with all the players and ofcourse students. I am very much thankful to

In the Academic year 2013-14 the students of this college take the active participation in Inter

college and University level competitions. This year four student were seleted for National School

Game Competition as well as nineteen students were selected for All India Inter University

Competitions in the team of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Every student has acquired good ranks

in the Inter University Competitions. Six students were selected for Maharashtra State Inter

lifting Competition ,held for 56kg weight group by lifting 214kg. weight held at Jalander . Another

student of B.A.-I Mr.Mahendra Shital Kandera won silver medal in All India Inter-University

Near about 23 atheletes of our college performed their best at various sports events in this

academic year 2016-17. Also 5 players grabbed silver medal for Shivaji University team at

Ashwamedh (krida mahotsov) held at Nanded. All India Inter University kho-kho Tournament was

held at Medinapur (West Bengal) in which Smt. Kasturbai Walchand College, Sangli i.e. Shivaji

University’s team captain Mast Raju Hakke & 2 players Shridhar Desai & Suraj Lande performed
