Fred T. HofstetterI am a Professor of Education specializing in Educational Technology at the University of Delaware. I have been developing multimedia tools and techniques since 1970.My career goal is to help make multimedia easy enough for everyone to become a creator, not just a consumer, of multimedia. What Fred Is Working On Now



• Computational Thinking. It was my honor being invited to participate as one of the faculty learning how to integrate computational thinking into general education courses via the NSF grant awarded for this purpose at the University of Delaware to my valued colleagues Chrystalla Mouza, Lori Pollock, Kathleen Pusecker, and Kevin Guidry. This project led to the revision of my Internet Technologies course, for which I published the Kindle book entitled Computational Thinking on the Internet.

• Multimedia Literacy. I am working to redevelop the multimedia literacy course as an eBook interactive Web environment.

• Advanced Multimedia and Web Design. I am redeveloping these courses into an educational technology course portal at www.udel.edu/edtech.

• Serf. Serf is a Web-based teaching and learning environment. I am continuing to develop new features for Serf, which runs as a Web application under the Microsoft .NET framework.

• iPad. I am developing courses in the use and development of iPad apps for educators.• eBooks. I have created a new course about eBook Authoring.• Curriculum. I am working with my ed tech faculty colleagues to offer graduate programs in

educational technology at the master's and doctoral levels.• Mountain Bikes. New "personal bests" are stimulating the biking industry through continual
