Theoretical framework

The Research on the conversion of FTI complex to Ayala Land.The thesis

design for this study will be using the input, process, output model. In input, the

profile of the respondents and the perception to the local community should

answer. The process state how are you going to answer the input that needs

some materials to get some information. And the output is the answer to the

question of input using the process.

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the effects of the respondents on the tourism

development of the FTI Complex that would help the local community and at the

same time improve the tourism industry of Taguig City.

Specifically the researchers will seek answers to the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:

a. Age

b. Gender

c. Marital Status

d. Occupation

2. What are the positive effects on the local community in terms of:

a. Economic Aspect

b. Environmental Aspect

c. Social and Cultural Aspect



3. What are the negative effects on the local community in terms of:

a. Economic Aspect

b. Environmental Aspect

c. Social and Cultural Aspect

4. Is there any significant difference between the respondents’ perception

according to the positive effects on the local community stated above?

5. Is there any significant difference between the respondents’ perception

according to the negative effects on the local community stated above?

6. Is there any significant difference between the perceptions of the respondents

in terms of their economic status on the effects of this FTI tourism development

plan?

Hypothesis

4.1 Null hypothesis Ho: There is no significant difference between the

respondents’ perception according to the positive effects on the local community.

4.2 Alternative Hypothesis H1: There is a significant difference between the

respondents’ perception according to the positive effects on the local community.

5.1 Null Hypothesis HO: There is no significant difference between the

respondents’ perception according to the negative effects on the local

community.

5.2 Alternative Hypothesis: There is no significant difference between the

respondents’ perception according to the negative effects on the local

community.

6.1 Null Hypothesis Ho: There is a significant difference between the

perceptions of the respondents in terms of their economic status on the effects of

this FTI tourism development plan.

6.2 Alternative Hypothesis H1: There is a significant difference between the

perceptions of the respondents in terms of their economic status on the effects of

this FTI tourism development plan.

Significance of the study

The purpose of this study is to help the local community of FTI Complex

and the tourism industry of Taguig City with the development of FTI Complex for

its being one of the major tourist destination in Taguig City. This study will be

beneficial to the following:

Community will give them more employment opportunities.

Local government of Taguig City, who will get advantage for the appreciation and

recognition of the tourism industry of Taguig City.

Researchers it will serve as a model to other researchers.

Students the findings of this study will serve as their tool or guide in making or

conducting their own study.

The tourism industry, by helping the industry to increase its economic

contribution to the country.

Scope and Limitation

This study dealt with the Effects of the Tourism Development Plan of FTI

Complex on the Local Community of Taguig City. Thus, it consists of 150

respondents nearby FTI Complex. In Barangay South Signal, Central Signal,

Upper Bicutan, Western Bicutan and Maharlika Village near the FTI Complex.

The researchers focus on the impacts to the respondents on the development of

FTI Complex.

Tourism is travel for recreational, leisure, or business purposes.

Tourism Industry refers to an industry that creates highly competitive job

opportunities for people. Tourism industry is a biggest industry offers a great

tourism product and services.

Economic Aspect it deals to the help of tourism industry in our economy.

Environmental Aspect is the effects of the tourism development of FTI to our

Environment.

Assessment it is process of evaluating value, importance, equality of a certain

things and place.

In Adrian Henriques’ post for the Guardian Professional Network on

Monday 18 June 2012, he discussed about the social impacts of business

ventures to the society Understanding a company's social impact is crucial to

sustainability. The social impact of a business is easy to identify but difficult to

measure, however understanding the effects a company has on society is vital to

achieving sustainability. Companies also impact on communities. Particularly

those have a significant direct impact on the natural environment, such as mining

or oil extraction, agriculture or heavy manufacturing. It matters greatly to those

living near their operations how they are carried out and what degree of care is

taken over impacts on health for example.

Some companies, particularly mining and oil firms, may even create communities

in order to operate. The living conditions of such workers are an inescapable part

of the social responsibility of the company. The social impacts of removing
