Work Request Stuck in "On Work Order" Status: Issue: Work Request Stuck in "On Work Order" Status even after work order is cancelled.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a Work Request.

2. Create Work Order from Work Request

3. Cancel Work Order.

4. Status of Work Request is expected to change to "Cancelled" but it remains on Work Order.

Cause: This is the intended behaviour for the work request. The work request are remaining with

the status "On work order"

Solution: An Enhancement Request is raised.

Bug 12991332 - WORK REQUEST IS STUCK ON STATUS ON WORK ORDER WHEN THE WO IS

CANCELLED, has been created for this.

The ER contains the information about creating a new status for the work request and to apply it to

the work request in the case of a cancelled work order

Data fix is available in ID 1360131.1.

PM Generate Work Order Not Generating All Work Orders: Issue: Generate PM Work Order request not generating all Preventive Maintenance work orders

forecasted.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Forecast PM Work Orders.

2. Run Preventive Maintenance Request

3. Some forecasted work orders are missed in generation

Cause: Recognised as Application Bug. Bug 10042960 - EAMPMSDU: GENERATE WORK ORDERS IS

NOT GENERATING ANY WORK ORDER.

Solution: patch 16392690:R12.EAM.B

After applying patch there may be some change in info on pm e.g Suggested next service start date.

So it need to be uploaded.

Work Orders Stuck in Release-Pending Status: Issue: Some Work Orders got Stuck in "Released- Pending" with no notification sent to any user even

when no Approval flow was setup on those Work Orders:

Steps to Reproduce: Unknown.

Cause: Approval Management Bug. SR Update: This appears to be one-time issue as for similar work

orders, the issue cannot be reproduced.

Soultion:

If work orders are having same issue, then the datafix should be as follows:

update wip_discrete_jobs set status_type = 3 where wip_entity_id in

(select wip_entity_id from wip_entities where wip_entity_name = '&WO_NUMBER');

update eam_work_order_details set user_defined_status_id = 3, pending_flag = 'N' where

wip_entity_id in

(select wip_entity_id from wip_entities where wip_entity_name = '&WO_NUMBER');

commit;

You will have to enter the work order number.

Construction Estimate- WIP Class not Picked Automatically at Lines: Issue: System fails to pickup WIP Accounting Class automatically at Construction Estimate Lines.

Steps to Reproduce: Create Construction Estimate and add activities to it. When Asset number is

entered WIP Accounting class is not Picked up Automatically.

Cause: Standard Functionality.

Solution: This is application intended design to provide flexibility to users using construction

estimate.

Work Order Release Notification- Additional Info Button Not Working: Issue: When Work Order is released and sent for approval. Notification screen has button for

"Additional Information" when clicked nothing is done by system. Button is not working.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Order and Release it

2. User will receive notification and Open it

3. When Additional Information Button clicked nothing happens.

Cause: Recognised as System Bug by oracle support.

Solution: Apply patch 10203771:R12.EAM.B.

PM-Generate Work Order Date Parameters: Issue: When report is run and date given System picks up date as 31-January-13 00:00:00 so it

actually misses Work Orders between time 31-January-13 00:00:00 to 31-January-13 23:59:59.

2. Open Generate PM Work Orders Request

3. Give Parameters of date and run request

4. When Request is completed Open Log

5. Log has date like From: 1-January-13 00:00:00

To: 31-January-13 00:00:00

Cause: Parameters like that are standard for report.

Solution: It is not an issue. System actually don't miss any work order in between 00:00:00 to

23:59:59. It actually considers all work orders and later trunc time to 00:00:00.

Failure Entry Issues: Issues:

1. Failure date at work order completion must be equal to Work Order date but currently

system picks up Work Request date.

2. What are basis of time between failure when there is no last Service?

3. If no Work Request for Work Order, failure date is defaulted to system date. This could

cause issues if work order is back dated. System should pick up date of Work Order creation.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Request.

2. Create Work order from it

3. Go to Complete Work Order and look for failure entry date.

Cause: Intended behaviour.

Solution:

1. This is the correct functionality. When a work request is used, the work request is earlier

then the work order. The actual failure date is NOT the work order date. The work request

became BEFORE the work order. When somebody noticed the faulty asset, they raised a WR.

therefore Failure date defaults to WR date in this case.

2. Mean Time Between Failures (mtbf) is calculated as the time between the asset creation and

the time of the failure. The difference between the creation date for the asset and the

failure date will be the time between failure (rounded).

3. Intended functionality. The Failure Date default is JUST A SYSTEM DEFAULT _ IT IS AN

EDUCATED GUESS. It cannot be 100% accurate. You have the option to change it.

In this case, the system realises that the actual failure date is not really known. The date at

which the work order is raised is not necessarily the failure date. The failure could happen

well before this date. The system defaults sysdate and you have to change it.

(If no Work Request/ Failure date available system picks up Asset Creation Date)

Asset Routes- Activity History not available: Issue: Activity history of work performed on Asset Routes is not available in Activity history of Asset

Numbers within an Asset Routes.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Asset Route Work Order

2. Perform Activity and Complete work order

3. Activity can be seen in history of work performed on Asset Route

4. If you look for same Activity history to be available in Asset Numbers of Asset Routes it is

missing.

Cause: Intended Behaviour.

Solution: You created an Asset Route and created an Work Order on that Asset Route.

Then you entered the Asset Route details and observed the activity - this is normal as the activity

you assigned it to the asset route when you define it.

Then you search for one Asset Number from the Asset Route and your expectation is to see the

activity that is assigned to the Asset Route? If yes, then you will not see it, this being normal

behaviour - because you did not assign the activity to the asset number, but to the asset route. As

activity is not assigned to asset so it is not displayed.

Construction Estimate- Line Disappear when Operation Entered: Issue: Manually entered line on construction estimate disappears when operation Entered.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a new construction estimate and try to add a line manually to it.

2. Enter relevant data including department and resources.

3. Click details to enter Standard Operation.

4. When you enter standard operation page refreshes and entered line disappears.

Cause: Intended Behaviour.

Solution: You need to define resources at standard operation definition to ensure that resources

and departments are populated when Standard Operation is entered at manual lines of construction

estimate.

Construction Estimate- Auto-Request material Check for Work

Orders: Issue: When you create work orders from Construction Estimate, auto request material is checked

for all material lines of Construction estimate by default. There is no field in construction estimate to

uncheck it.

4. Auto Request material is checked on created work orders material lines.

Cause: System Bug.

Solution: Apply Patch.16784664:R12.EAM.B.

Construction Estimate- Activity Field Blanks at Creation: Issue: Activity field blanks when Construction Unit is entered in Select Activities- Construction

Estimate. This issue is faced for activity which has more then 40 characters.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Construction Unit with Activity which has more then 40 Characters.

2. Select it in Construction Estimate Creation

3. When Selected the system do not display name of activity and activity field is blank.

Cause: Bug. 16578508 : EAM FFL: ACTIVITY FIELD BLANKS AT CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE CREATION.

Solution: To implement the solution, please execute the following steps

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patch.16578508

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying the recommended

patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Confirm the following file versions:

<EAMPEDSS.pls 120.0.12010000.4>

You can use the commands like the following:

strings -a $XX_TOP/filename |grep '$Header'

5. Retest the issue.

6. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

Mass Complete- Some Work Orders Missed in Selection: Issue: When we go to Maintenance Planning Work Bench and Click Mass Complete Some of Work

orders are checked and some are unchecked.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Workbench

2. Click Mass Complete

3. New Java Form will open displaying Work Orders. Some of them will be unchecked.

Cause: The work orders unchecked have some pending transactions available for completion e.g

Quality Form, pending operation completion, failure entry missing etc.

Solution: Standard behaviour. If you want all Work Orders to be checked first complete pending

transactions before Mass completion.

Work Orders Stuck in Release Pending Status: Issue: Work Orders are stuck in released pending with no user notified. These work orders had no

AME setup.

Steps to Reproduce: Unknown.

Cause: Unidentified System Bug.

Solution: Work orders having same issue, then the datafix should be as follows:

update wip_discrete_jobs set status_type = 3 where wip_entity_id in

Department Approvers List of Values is Empty: Issue: When attempting to setup users as EAM Department Approvers the LOV for Responsibilities is

empty except for responsibilities that have a responsibility key beginning with EAM.

Steps to Reproduce: The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. EAM: Setup: Department Approvers

2. Query a Responsibility

3. Primary approver is null for the responsibilities with a responsibility key beginning with EAM

Cause:

1. This is a code issue as Oracle has an artificial requirement that Department Approvers have a

responsibility key beginning with 'EAM'. OR

2. Responsibility has "Responsibility Key" starting with words else then EAM.

3. Application is Enterprise Asset management instead of Manufacturing.

Solution: To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patch.14841358.

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying

the recommended patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Confirm the following file versions:

You can use the commands like the following:

5. Retest the issue.

Create New Responsibility- Buttons Not Working: Issue: Created new responsibility but fields not working in it

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create New Responsibility

2. Assign to user

3. Try to Open responsibility and click any function

4. No Response.

Cause: Inventory Organization not assigned to Responsibility created

Solution: Give Organization Access to Responsibility:

Go to Inventory> Setup> Organization> Organization Access.

Resource Charge Type vs. Maintenance Routing Charge Type: Issue: While defining resource, we enter charge type has four options available :

Manual

PO Move

WIP Move

PO Receipt

When we enter routing for an activity there is again option to enter resource for operation lines.

When we enter resource there is charge type :

PO Receipt

Manual

Why is it so that on routing there is only 2 charge types and why we need to enter it again when it

was already given in resources. Also purpose of each one of charge types is unknown.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a New Resource and there is charge type available for entry.

2. Create Routing, go in department resources and there is field charge type.

Cause: Intended behavior.

Solution: Following was the response from SR:

1. In Resource form we have 4 types of charge because the resource can be used not only for

EAM but also for WIP module

WIP Move and PO Move are to be used only by WIP Module. This is because the charge

types are related to move transactions. In EAM as you know, we do not have any move

transactions.

In EAM we can only use types: Manual and PO Receipt

Manual > meaning that user will charge time whenever he/she wants during the WO life

(from Release to complete). Also user can choose not to charge time (create resource

transaction) at all.

PO Receipt > this is used only for OSP resources. At the time of PO receipt automatically

system will create the resource transaction for the resource associated with the OSP item

2. When you create a maintenance Routing and add a resource, the Charge type will

automatically be defaulted from the Resource setup, but in can be overwritten at Routing

level, as needed

3. When you create WO and use the maintenance routing, the charge type will be defaulted

from the routing, but it can be overwritten at WO level.

4. When you create WO and use the maintenance routing, the charge type will be defaulted

from the routing, but it can be overwritten at WO level.

OSP Work Orders in Release-Pending: Issue: When OSP resource is added to a newly created work order and work order is released, work

order is stuck in Release-Pending.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Order

2. Add Activity which has OSP Routing or manually add an OSP resource

3. Release Work Order

4. Work Order will be in released pending with no user notified

Cause: This is because no Person is assigned to user who is creating and releasing this work order.

Solution: Assign person to User creating Work Order.

Error when Adding OSP Resource to Released Work Order: Issue: When OSP resource is added to a released work order and work order is applied system

displays following error:

1. Go in Update of Released Work Order

2. Add OSP resource to an Operation

3. Click Apply/Save

4. System Displays above error

Cause: This is because no Person is assigned to user who is adding OSP resource to released work

order.

Solution: Assign person to User creating Work Order.

Resource Disabled But still Populated on Work Order: Issue: A resource which is part of routing is disabled from resource form but still it appears when a

new work order is created and activity is assigned to it.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open a resource Form

2. Assign resource an End Date

3. Create a Work Order and give activity which has same resource on it

4. Resource line still appear after being disabled

Cause: Intended-Behaviour

Solution: Disabling resource will not remove it from activity lines on work order. If you want to

remove it from work order user need to disable resource operation on Activity routing.

Responsibility Error when creating Work Orders from Construction

Estimate: Issue: After filling up required data when we click Create Work Order button following error is

displayed:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Construction Units

2. Add Construction Units to Estimate

3. Enter Relevant Data

4. Click Create Work Order button

5. Above Error is displayed

Cause: The error was due to a hard coded responsibility id in package –

EAM_CONSTRUCTION_EST_PVT. The following bug addresses the issue:

Bug 10082577 - EAM - ERROR WHEN CREATING WORK ORDER FROM CONSTRUCTION

ESTIMATE.

The entity with header id (1) generated the following error(s).

Responsibility (55240) is invalid.

The Work Order WO4458 received an error status since a severe error occurred in the

work order while performing attribute validations.

Solution: To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patch 10082577:R12.EAM.B

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying the recommended

patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Confirm the following file versions:

EAMVCESB.pls 120.0.12010000.28

EAMVCESS.pls 120.0.12010000.3

You can use the commands like the following:

5. Retest the issue.

Activity Suppression Working: Issue: Please explain working of activity suppression. What is to be done if we want to Suppress 5

activities against one.

Steps to Reproduce: Not Applicable

Cause: Not Applicable

Solution: Following points should be considered when using activity suppression:

1. In activity suppression form a Parent Activity is given on Header

2. The Activity which is given as child is suppressed when Parent Activity is performed

3. Only one Child Can be defined against one Parent Activity

4. If there are 3 Activities A, B ,C which need to be suppressed against Parent Z suppression will

work in following order:

Z Parent of A

A Parent of B

B Parent of C

5. Parent Activity last service is updated to Child activity Preventive PM.

Requisition Generation in Incomplete Status: Issue: When an OSP resource is added to work order and work order is released, requisition is

generated in Approved/In Process. Requisition must generate in incomplete status.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Add OSP resource Item to Work Order

2. Release Work Order

3. Requisition Import program Runs

4. Search for requisition generated

5. Requisition will be in Approved/In Process status

Cause: This is because when work order is released an auto "Requisition Import" program is run and

parameters passed for workflow are "Yes" so requisition is approved or remains in "In-Process".

Solution:

1. Apply Patch 4276433:R12.WIP.B

2. After patch Application a new parameter is Available in WIP Parameters> Outside

processing> Requisition Status, change it to incomplete

3. Change WIP:Initiate Approval Process after Requisition Import to "NO".

4. Retest the Issue Requisition will be in incomplete status.

If still issue exist (In 12.1.3 additional patches are to be applied) then follow below action plan

instead of above:

1. Apply following Patches:

Patch 12783535:R12.FND.B

Patch 4276433:R12.WIP.B

Patch 16689986:R12.PO.B

Patch 17269099:R12.EAM.B

2. After patch Application a new parameter is Available in WIP Parameters> Outside

processing> Requisition Status, change it to incomplete

3. Change WIP:Initiate Approval Process after Requisition Import to "NO".

4. Retest the Issue Requisition will be in incomplete status.

Requisition Import Run Delay: Issue: We want to stop requisition import run on Work Order release having OSP resource as we

want to run it using scheduling later.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Add OSP resource Item to Work Order

2. Release Work Order

3. Requisition Import program Runs

4. Search for requisition generated

5. Requisition will be in Approved/In Process status

Cause: Intended Behaviour.

Solution: Requisition Import cannot be delayed to run it through scheduling later. It can be

completely stopped and no data will be populated in table. Change WIP Parameters> Outside

Processing> Requisition Creation Time to Manual. If this is done all Requisition will required to be

generated manually by users and users will need to assign work orders to requisitions.

(This was required when user wanted to generate Requisitions in incomplete status and it was

intended to schedule Requisition Import with workflow parameter as "No" but later patch was

provided and issue was resolved.)

Character Limit for Asset Number and Asset Group: Issue: What is maximum Number of Character limit for Asset Numbers and Asset Groups? Please

also explain how it can be increased.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Asset Numbers Form

2. Enter Asset Number

3. Enter Asset Group

Cause: N.A

Solution:

Asset group details are stored in mtl_system_items_b in segment1 column and length is 40

characters.

Asset numbers are stored in csi_item_instances in instance_number column and length is 30

characters.

Its character limit cannot be increased.

Cons Estimate- Non Purchasable/Stock able Item Error: Issue: When "Create Work Order" is clicked on Construction Estimate following Error is displayed:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Construction Estimate

2. Populate activities, assets and other relevant information.

3. Click Create Work Order

4. Above Error is Displayed

Cause: Model work order lines has some "Inactive Items".

Solution: Remove Inactive Items from BOM lines or Re activate items which were inactive.

Work Order Cost Estimation: Issue: What are basis for Cost Estimation at work order? At what point system estimate costs.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create A Work Order with material/resource lines.

2. Cost is estimated automatically

3. Add new lines in Work Order

4. Check for cost updation

5. No Cost is updated

Cause: Not Applicable

Solution: During wok order creation, there is automatic call to estimate the work order cost based

on defined/existing costs at the time when work order is created.

Further, if more materials or resources are added to work order, you can click on Estimate to re-

estimate the work order cost. If work order will not be re-estimated, the initial estimated cost will be

considered.

Preventive Maintenance: Activity Routing Update Issue: If routing of an activity available on PM is updated and later a work order is created from PM

schedule the work order do not reflect changes which were made in PM.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to PM

2. Copy its activity

3. Go to Activity Routing and update

4. Create Work Order from PM schedule

5. Check for Operation and Material lines

6. Routing on Work Order will not reflect changes for added/deleted lines

Cause: Unknown- Raise SR

Solution: Remove activity from PM and assign again. Retest the issue the work order will now reflect

required changes.

Activity Based Attachments on Work Order: Issue: We want a file to be displayed on work order each time a unique activity work order is

created. We tried to attach file to Master activities but when we try to create work order no

attachment is available.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Inventory> Items> Master Items: Search for Activity

2. Go to View> Attachments

3. Attach file which should be viewed at work order

Solution: For display of attachments for activity on Work Order routing do the following:

1. Go to Activity Routing for which you want attachment at work order

2. Go to View> Attachments> Enter Category as Miscellaneous (always for display at work

order header level)

3. Enter/Attach file and save

4. Create work order manually or through PM

5. Attachment will be available at work order header

Note: During data uploading try to upload Attachments before creation of PM- Recommended.

Construction Estimate Work Order Search: Issue: We do not find any suitable criteria (Work Order type for example) to search construction

estimate work orders using maintenance workbench for mass release.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Construction Unit

2. Generate Work Orders from it

3. Go to Enterprise Asset Management> Work Order Planning> Maintenance Workbench

4. No criteria available to search for construction Estimate work orders

Cause: Intended Behaviour

Solution: An Enhancement Request: 16828986 is raised for inclusion of this feature for future

releases. For now following work around can be used.

User can use work around to search for construction estimate work order using its work order status

for releasing. Create a new Status type for construction estimate work orders and use status type to

search for work orders using workbench.

Work Order Approval Notification- Asset Number Display: Issue: There is no asset number field available for display in notification for Work Order approval.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a Work Order

2. Release it so notification is sent to relevant user

3. Login from approver and search for work order notification

4. Open notification

5. No Field available that displays Asset Number

Cause: Intended Behaviour

Solution: Currently, it's not possible to display Asset Number in Work Order Release Approval

Notification page. This is coming from the Workflow code and EAM does not have this feature to

Work Order Closure and Its Purchase Order: Issue: How work order is linked to PO receiving completion? Can we complete and close Work

Order before PO is received?

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Order with OSP resource

2. A requisition Will be generated

3. Create PO and complete Receiving

4. Try to close complete Work Order

5. Error Occurs

Cause: Intended Behaviour. System allow user to complete work order but do not allow to close

work order.

Solution: All transactions related to Work Order must close before work order can be closed. Close

or Finally close the PO before closing the work order to ensure no error occurs at work order closure.

Quality form Data Deletion Using HTML: Issue: Is there any option to delete data entered on Quality form using HTML to delete using HTML

page?

Cause: Intended Behaviour

Solution: There is no option to delete the results from the maintenance super use responsibility..

Solution: Normally this issue is faced after upgrade to 12.1.3 [Note 1520615.1]. It is a System

Bug 13810027:R12.EAM.B. Issue is fixed in WriteTableVistor.java 120.13.12010000.10 via patch

13810027:R12.EAM.B. Please follow below action Plan:

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patches 16067566:R12.EAM.B and

13810027:R12.EAM.B.

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying the recommended

patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Confirm the following file versions:

WriteTableVistor.java 120.13.12010000.10

PMSchedule.java 120.21.12010000.7

You can use the commands like the following:

Work Order Material Line Issued Quantity Displayed Zero: Issue: Self-Service Apps show zero issued quantity to an EAM Work Order when issued from on-hand

quantity. It should show quantity issued.

Steps to Reproduce: The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create work order.

2. Issue Material to a Work Order. The component issued has On-Hand quantity.

3. See that Self-Service shows zero issued quantity for the Work Order.

4. Java Forms shows the correct issued quantity.

Cause: Issue is caused by fault in code.

After appliance, bounce apache and oacore service to assure the java files are properly loaded and

Cons Estimate- No Routing Lines Displayed for Activity with OSP: Issue: When we try to enter activity which has OSP resource line in Construction Estimate no data is

populated in model work order lines.

1. We entered a routing for an activity with OSP resource and other resources. We entered the

activity in construction unit and unit was entered in construction estimate. As we clicked

next and estimate workbench page opened all lines for that activity were missing. With

other activities not involving OSP resource construction estimate works fine.

2. We tried to enter the OSP line manually to new construction estimate and system gave a

blank error on saving.

3. We tried to enter OSP line in construction estimate with other activity lines system displayed

error.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Select an activity with OSP resource in it

2. Create Construction Unit for that Activity

3. Enter Construction Unit in Construction Estimate

4. No lines for selected activity were populated

Cause: The issue is caused by the following setup: cost for the resource was not set.

Solution: Enter cost for OSP and other resources. To implement the solution, please execute the

following steps:

1. Go into the responsibility: EAM

2. Navigate to setup > BOM > resources-> rates -> and set up the rates.

3. Retest the issue.

4. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

Construction Unit Quantity Personalization: Issue: We enter a Construction Unit in "Select Activities" page of Construction Estimate, system asks

to enter Construction Unit Quantity as 1. We are trying to default it as 1 using personalization but

we are unable to do so.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Select Activities Page of Construction Estimate

2. Set up Personalization to default value of Unit Quantity as 1

3. Enter Construction Unit in Select Activities

4. Default Value not populated and personalization not working

Cause: The Construction Unit quantity is a field that is generate by java code, and thus any

personalization will not work. The value needs to be entered manually and TAB pressed in order for

the code to pull the activities from the Construction Unit.

Solution: User needs to enter Unit Quantity Manually.

Account field Locked at PR with Destination Type Shop Floor: Issue: We want to change Charge Account in distribution at PR (in incomplete status) with

Destination Type "Shop Floor" but field is locked. Is there any way we can manually change this

account at PR when it is in incomplete status? Please provide solution.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create PR in incomplete status from Work Order

2. Open distributions

3. Try to change Account

4. Field is locked

Cause: Standard Functionality

Solution: The charge account on distributions with a destination type of Inventory or Shop Floor

cannot be updated after the document has been saved as per the standard functionality of the

application.

You need to create a new requisition and ensure that the correct charge account is defaulted or

entered on the document before saving.

Work Order Status Failed Closed: Issue: Work Order was closed and it is now in Failed Closed status with "Work Order Close Request"

3. Requests Completes in Error as in above log file

4. Status of Work Order changes to Failed Close

Cause: Inventory period is not opened for date at which Work Order is closed.

Solution: Open Inventory Period for month in which work orders are being closed.

Quality Plan Name to be Populated on Java from HTML: Issue: We added a quality plan to be used on Work Order completion and added a "Button" that

takes user to Java Quality form. We want to populate Quality Plan Name for which "Open Java

Form" buttton is selected to open when java opens. Let us know if possible.

Asset Group and Failure Analysis: Issue: We created a Failure set and assigned Asset Group to it. Now we are trying to assign same

group to other failure set but are unable to do so as system do so and we are unable to find that

group in List of Values.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Failure Set

2. Assign Asset Group

3. Try to Assign same Asset Group to other failure set

4. Asset Group not found in List of Values

Cause: Intended behaviour. Only One Failure Set can be assigned to an Asset Group.

Solution: Assign only one Failure Set to Asset group.

Purpose of Interleave Check in Resource> Employees: Issue: What is purpose of interleave check in Resource> Employees.

Steps to Reproduce: Not Applicable.

Cause: Not Applicable.

Solution: Interleave is a feature available in the WMS to interleave the tasks assigned to the

employees if required by the application. If you are not using the WMS then this filed Interleave is

not applicable.

Construction Estimate: Apply Default Sorting Basis: Issue: What are the basis in which Apply default applies sequence to construction Units when

selected "Apply Default by: Construction Unit"? Which Construction unit is selected first to apply

sequence when and in which sequence apply defaults applies sequences to Construction Unit?

Solution: src_cu_id (generated at back end when Construction Unit is created) is used as basis to

sort and assign sequence when "Apply default" is used.

Failure Entry Missing at Asset Routes Work Order Completion: Issue: When we complete Work Order of Asset Routes we are unable to see any open fields to enter

Failure Data.

2. Perform relevant functions

3. Go to Complete Work order Page

4. Failure entry fields are greyed out

Cause: Intended Behaviour

Solution: This is the standard functionality.

The bug highlights the following points :

- Failure info entry and analysis is not supported for asset routes

- Complete WO page of the above WO

There is no failure information region for the WO as it is a WO on asset

route

This is standard and intended behaviour and is per design.

Work Order Transactions | View Resource Transactions Error: Issue: Go to View Resource transactions form and, then, for a given transaction, go to menu Tools -

View Accounting;

- at this point, following error is raised:

One-Step Issue driving Quantity to Negative: Issue: One Step Material Issue driving quantity to negative. We have referred to the following note

ID 1293857.1

Steps to Reproduce: For one item we have 10 On Hand quantity and we allocated complete 10

quantity on a Work Order after that we have create a material requirement for the same item on

another work order and issued 1 quantity from One Step Material Issue, the system allowed to issue

the quantity and in material work bench the quantity turns negative.

Cause: Check Profile Option/ System Bug

Solution: Check for

1- Allow Negative Balance Check: in Organtization Parameter

2- Profile option INV:Override Neg for Backflush is NO.

But if issue still exists then than apply Patch 16826285:R12.INV.B

Allocated Material Transactions Still Pending: Issue: At month end when we try to close out Inventory period there are still some eAM material

transactions which are in allocated pending status even though work orders have either been closed

or in complete no charges (which means no material allocated).

1. Go to Inventory Close Periods

2. Click to see Pending Transactions for month

3. Search by Job and Schedule

4. Allocated Pending transactions for "Complete - No Charges/ Closed" work orders appear

with no material allocated in actual.

Duration Missing on PM Work Orders: Issue: When either using Maintenance Workbench or running Generate Preventive Maintenance

Work Orders to create PM Work Orders, Duration is not populating onto the Work Order.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Order from either Maintenance Workbench or Generate Preventive

Maintenance Work Orders concurrent

2. The work order has a routing with the total hours as 1

3. Run the PM schedule

4. Observe Duration = 0 on the work order that was created

Cause: This is a setup issue.

Solution: The issue was due to Schedule Flag in activity Operation

resource set to 'No'. By default this flag is set to 'Yes'. Here is the

guideline from BOM user guide for this field:

Schedule Field

• Yes: Include this resource when scheduling an operation from a job or

repetitive schedule and calculating manufacturing lead time for the assembly.

• No: Do not include scheduling the operation or calculating the lead time.

Setting the filed to 'Yes' will show the duration in the work order.

Unable to Find Move Order for Transacted Material Line: Issue: We are unable to find a move Order number for Work Order line once it is transacted.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create Work Order

2. Allocate material against material line

3. Transact Move Order

4. Once transacted, there seems to be no search criteria available to find move order number

for that transacted line of work order

Cause: Unknown (Internally resolved)
