Mrs. Thai Huong has been well-known as a determined and kind woman who has successfully launched TH brand “True Happiness” based on the core value of “For Public Health”.

Mrs. Thai Huong is the trailblazer of Vietnam’s organic and clean agriculture. She is highly appreciated as the woman who started a revolution in Vietnamese agriculture by finding “the golden key” applying cutting-edge technologies in all aspects of her business. In 2008, she started a dairy farming and production project with a herd of 45,000 heads and this has been certified as the biggest high-tech dairy farm in Asia by the Asia Book of Record.

During the visit to Vietnam and TH in 2011, Israeli former President, H.E. Mr. Shimon Peres asserted that: “She (Mrs. Thai Huong) has inspired a milk revolution in Vietnam”. The US-based magazine Forbes has named her one of Asia’s most powerful businesswomen for several consecutive years for her contribution to dramatically changing the situation of Vietnam’s dairy industry. She is also the only businesswoman from Vietnam to be granted the Outstanding Award for Contribution to the Community in UAE’S Dubai, and the Award of Global Trade Ambassador (US) and Asia Responsible Enterprise Award. TH true MILK-branded products have been honored with many domestic Golden Awards and international prizes in the recent years.

In addition to dairies, under the leadership of Mrs. Thai Huong, many other projects for safe and natural, organic products or best health care services and education have been fruitfully carried out by TH Group. Mrs. Thai Huong always has a vision to help Vietnamese agriculture go global with world-class standards.

Message of the FounderI was born in a typical Vietnamese family, in a land of great pride: the homeland of our Great President Ho Chi Minh. My father was a teacher who joined the patriotic war upon the call of the country. My mother and her children took care of each other, doing farm works together, and that was how we got through the hardships. Maybe those difficult times made my dignity and personality appurtenant to a noble mission. I always feel that I had a beautiful childhood. Those days did nurture my dreams and the burning ambition in my soul. I have been always happy with that.

Time has passed by, offering me more and more experiences about the world around which has great impact on my feelings and take wings for me to realize my dreams: “Make our people to be proud of their homeland”. Days by days, I have also seen the increasing prevalence of unsafe foods, cold-heartedness and greed. The incident that hit me to a daring decision was the 2008 Chinese milk scandal, in which melamine contaminated milk might have caused kidney damage to millions of children. I felt like my heart bleeding learning about that through the news. The following morning, I convened the BOD’s urgent meeting and concluded to produce fresh milk right in my homeland.

That was how TH true Milk was born.

Entering a messy and fierce market with more than 500 different brands of nontransparent and confusing information, we chose to apply a Blue Ocean Strategy to define and position the brand of TH as “True Happiness”.

All our dreams became true. Our safe and organic products, our best health care services, our dreamy school and beautiful stories for the children, all have been created to serve the community. We will take Vietnam’s agriculture to the world with strictest international standards. In order to make a brand everlasting, once it is developed and positioned, it must be maintained with the consistency and determination despite of whatever circumstances, and humanism would enlighten and lead the way for the brand.

On this occasion, I would like to send all of you a message: “I am Thai Huong. I was born from the Land, the Water and the Wind. I am as gentle as the Land, but also as powerful as the Water and the Wind. We should treasure the Mother Nature, who give us everything.”

TH’s True StoryAll stories have a beginning. For TH, the story started with a desire to soar above namely “Vietnamese Stature”.

A desire to pave a new way for a profound mission.

President Ho Chi Minh, throughout his life, emphasized the point of view that health is the most valuable property of the human beings; it is also the precondition for the development of everyone. Human beings are the masters of the society as well as the driving force for the growth of a country, so the mental and physical development of individuals is very important. Therefore, at TH, we have a strong faith that our investments for the health benefits and education services have contributed to the improvement of the country’s next generations; these are the strategic investments for the national growth.

Consequently, we are always motivated by the question “How to improve Vietnamese stature and help the country to take a place among the world’s developed countries?” Every Vietnamese has this ambition in his heart. At TH, the desire has become a huge motivation to forge us to pave a completely new way for an honorable mission for the sake of the people, the society and the country of Viet Nam.

Excellent project planningTH understands that nutrition regime, particularly milk, plays the most important role in physical and intellectual development of human. In developed countries around the world, drinking milk has become a daily necessity and a long-standing cultural tradition. They also pursue the trend to be back to the nature, towards green, clean, organic and sustainable living lifestyle. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, only few children take milk every day. The access to fresh, safe and natural food is not available for all. That’s why the ambition to improve Vietnamese Stature has urged TH to make its investment into hi-tech agriculture, aquaculture and forestry, with an emphasis on a closed process that will ensure products’ premium quality. TH is committed to becoming a world-class manufacturer of clean food “completely from the nature”, starting with our dairy farming and clean milk production branded “TH true MILK”.

• Having TH school MILK product being the first product on Vietnam market to meet the standards and requirements of fresh milk under the Ministry of Health’s decision numbered 5450/QD-BYT. TH School MILK’s effectiveness in improving nutritional status of children was certified by the Ministry of Health.

• Being the pioneer in the development of organic milk in Vietnam; being the first and only Vietnamese milk producer that has its dairy cows switched to organic farming.

• Being the first milk producer in Vietnam to successfully conduct breeding for A2 cows to produce A2 fresh milk and yogurt.

TH Group’s revolutionsThe Fresh milk revolution

With the pioneering of TH Group, products made from fresh milk in Vietnam increased rapidly. There has been a shift in consumption, from milk powder (many nutrients lost through two heat treatments) to fresh milk (the natural nutrients are maintained). TH’s fight for the transparency of Vietnam’s dairy market has prompted other enterprises to compete in quality and dairy farming, which has resulted in the increase of fresh milk market-share to 39% by 2018 from 8% in 2008.

The Herbal revolution

TH Group is ranked among top 20% of companies in the world using natural herbs and fruits to produce beverages, contributing to changing the consumption habit from chemically synthesized beverages to natural ones.

The Nut milk revolution

The “TH true NUT” branded products are perfect combination of pure fresh milk and nutritional nuts and fruits. Products do not contain refined cane sugar but only natural sweetness from the date. This is to help adjust the consumption habit and taste of Vietnamese consumers who are regarded as consuming too much sugar. The date fruits provide natural sweetness with low fat content, which help in not causing sudden blood sugar increase and prevent non-communicable chronic diseases – the pandemic of the 21st century - such as cardiovascular, diabetes or obesity.

Development Path for Vietnam’s Agriculture Vietnam’s agriculture development will go towards the path of high technology combined with organic production. TH is a pioneer to bring in high technologies to agriculture and apply US and EU organic farming standards.

In 2016, the term “4.0 technology” was first introduced in Viet Nam, but

TH had applied AI, microchips and other cutting-edge technologies in its

TH dairy map in VietnamIn Vietnam, TH Group has been developing dairy farms in the northern border provinces like Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son as well as other locations in Thanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Soc Trang.

With these projects, Mrs. Thai Huong - the Founder and Investment consultant of TH Group - aims to produce fresh, tasty and nutritious products to domestic and regional markets.

TH’s farms in the North will be export oriented, targeting the Chinese market with more than one billion consumers. TH has opened a branch in Guangzhou, China.

In addition to its own farms, TH also has plans to cooperate with local farmers to establish feed material zones for dairy cows to improve the local existing ineffective cultivation. TH’s dairy projects have created direct and indirect jobs for thousands of local workers.

Cows are selected carefully from the world’s best genetic resources (New Zealand, Canada, Uruguay, etc.) with undisputed genealogy to avoid the inbreeding and genetic issues and ensure high milk quality.

From the milking parlors, the milk is shock-frozen in closed pipeline system to reduce its temperature to 2-4°C, then collected to chilled bulk tanks and transported to the factory by the chilled trucks.

Home Delivery provides distribution services to shorten and remove intermediaries in the process of transportation and distribution, to bring the safe and fresh products of full natural essence to consumers at the soonest and most convenience.

II. PRODUCTION

TH has complete self-control over the feed supply to ensure the best nutrition for the cows. With the application of global leading technologies and the state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, TH Farm has optimized its cultivation and harvest of field crops to supply year-round feed materials such as maize, sorghum, Mombasa, Mulato, sunflower and legumes.

With Afitag electronic chips (Afitag) attached on feet, TH’s cows are classified and fed with 12 to 15 ingredients. The feed rations are established by nutritionists and mixed by machines programed and controlled by a computer system at the feed center. The feed includes: (a) Silage or fermented forage (sunflower, maize or sorghums, Alfalfa grass, dried straws, etc.); (b) Concentrate feed; (c) Supplements added according to different formulations based on specific cow groups to ensure high quality milk for the health of consumers.

At TH farm, the cows enjoy the water treated and purified by Amiad advanced technology with auto-filtration screen AMF to eliminate micro impurities.

The world’s advanced standards and specifica-tions of cow sheds are applied at TH farm. Each shed is established on an area of 32-33 ha for 2,400 dairy cows, 3,200 heifers and calves. The sheds are designed in modern style and well-constructed at the highest standards, with steel frame, roof and cooling system to prevent heat stress and help cows more comfortable. The cows are also showered and dried with a cooling fan system before being milked.

The TH’s clean and fresh milk plant applies the world’s leading technology and has become Southeast Asia’s largest milk processing factory, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment imported from the G7 and European countries. The operation system is run in accordance with ISO 22000 standards to meet the strictest qualifications of food safety.

At TH farm, the herd management is conducted by AfiFarm program. With the chips Afitag at their feet, the cows’ health is closely monitored. This equipment also gives 4 days in advance alert of mastitis, the most common disease recorded for the dairy cows, so the unqualified and/or contaminated milk will be rejected.

TH’s cows are very comfortable in the roofed, ventilated and cooled shed. Daily bathing and music are provided to stimulate their natural lactation. The Vet center and the lab of international standards allow rapid diagnosis, disease prevention researches and effective treatments.

Each fully automated milking parlor has capacity of 120 cows/shift, 3 milking times/day. The milking, collection and storage are closely and strictly monitored and managed to ensure the highest hygiene conditions. This prevents the milk from being contaminated by the microclimate or losing the natural pure taste.Moreover, the milking parlors at TH true Milk are programed towards the standards of quality, so that if the milk fails to meet the quality standards, the system will issue a warning message and recommend adjustments in the cows’ diet, then the unqualified milk will be separated from the system.

The milking, collection and storage are closely and strictly monitored and managed to ensure the highest hygiene conditions. This prevents the milk from being contaminated by the microclimate or losing the natural pure taste.Moreover, the milking parlors at TH true Milk are programed towards the standards of quality, so that if the milk fails to meet the quality standards, the system will issue a warning message and recommend adjustments in the cows’ diet, then the unqualified milk will be separated from the system.

TH fresh Milk Plant is one of the most modern milk processing factories in the world with the largest scale in the Southeast Asia. It is an important link in the synchronous and closed production process of fresh milk. The products are diversified with many categories, flavors and packaging to meet the consumers’ demand.

TH Fresh Milk Plant

TH farm is established based on the world most advanced standards and specification. Each farm is 32-33ha large, for 2,400 milking cows, 3,200 heifers and young calves. The farm sheds were designed with galvanized steel frame, roofed and equipped with cooling systems to provide the most comfortable shelter for the cows.The cows are bathed and dried before milking to ensure their comfort during the hot and humid summer climate in Vietnam.

On November 18-19, 2009, Mrs. Thai Huong on behalf of TH Group participated in the second International Dairy Forum at the Moscow Government House in the suburbs of Moscow, Russia as key main partner.

The forum was organized by the Moscow provincial government in cooperation with the Russian Federal Ministry of Agriculture and chaired by Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister A. Dvorkovich, bringing together more than 1,500 delegates from 32 countries around the world, including dairy manufacturers, processors, experts and scientists.

Mrs. Thai Huong signed a cooperation agreement at the President’s Palace of Vietnam under the witness of President Truong Tan Sang.

A FAST TRACK PROCESSOn October 23, 2015, H.E. Mr. D.A. Stepanenko, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Moscow Region, visited TH farm in Vietnam. He was impressed by the farm’s scale and the technical expertise of TH’s staff. “I believe when a similar project is established in Moscow, the team will ensure that TH’s dairy farms in Russia are well operated too.”

Groundbreaking Ceremony of Dairy farming and production complex of TH Group in Moscow Region (The Russian Federation).TH Group, in collaboration with the Moscow provincial government, organized the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the first phase of its project of dairy farming and production complex in Russia on May 18, 2016. The project in the Moscow region has total investment of USD500 million and is the first stage of the overall complex project of centralized and industrialized dairy farming and processing as well as several food projects with total capital of USD2.7 billion in the Russian Federation. This is the first investment project in hi-tech agriculture conducted by a Vietnamese company with the biggest investment capital in Russia up to now.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh; Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev; Moscow Governor Andrey Vorobiev Iu, other leaders of the

two countries and representatives of 15 embassies in Russia.

On October 18th, 2016, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of TH’s dairy Farming and Processing factory Complex of was held in the village Efimtsevo of Ulyanov district, Kaluga. It was expected that the first TH farms in Kaluga would be completed by September 2018.

In Kaluga, TH Group planned to build a clean fresh milk processing factory with a capacity of 1,500 tons per day. The plant, processing raw milk from TH farms in Moscow and Kaluga, is a link in a closed production cycle “From grass to class” of TH in Russia.

TH true NUT categoryTH Group has been the first and leading enterprise in developing nut milk segment in Vietnam with TH true NUT products from macadamia and walnut – the two nutritious and popular-taste nuts. On March 17th, 2018, the premium nut milk products were launched to the market. After that, TH introduced Almond, Chia and Gac milk.

On 18th May 2018, TH Group officially launched in Hanoi the product in packaging of 500ml bottle and 500ml can. Thanks to natural fermentation and production process, TH true MALT has the natural color of rye and barley with no artificial color added. The fermentation produces is very well controlled for natural gas and low alcohol content (less than 0.7%). Project of Nui Tien pure water and fruit juice productionProject of Nui Tien Pure water and fruit juice production has an investment of VND 1,777 billion on an area of 11.75 ha. The project’s products are pure water, fruit juice, aloe-vera jam, herbal beverage, rice milk made from natural ingredients. The plant uses advanced technology which is energy saving and environmentally friendly. The pure water production line’s maximum capacity is 600,000 liters per day (40,000 bottles per hour). The fruit juice production line’s maximum capacity is 36,000 bottles per hour.

On 1st August 2017, in Nghia Son Commune, Nghia Dan District, Nghe An Province, TH Group organized the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Nui Tien Pure Water and Fruit Juice Plant.

The project of Son La hi-tech fruit juice and condensed juice plant

Son La hi-tech fruit and condensed juice factory is a highlight of the process of building a clean and organic food ecosystem, producing “truly natural” products under TH’s brands.

On 25th January 2018, in Van Ho District (Son La Province), TH Group in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Son La province organized the Commencement Ceremony of Son La fruit juice and condensed juice Plant with the investment of VND 1,200 billion. The plant’s first phase has a processing capacity of 30,000 tons of fruit per year, and will be among the top plants of having highest processing capacity in Vietnam. This will also be the first one producing orange and logan condensed juice.

TH Group has planned to cooperate with the key fruit growers in Van Ho, Moc Chau, Mai Son, Bac Yen and Phu Yen to establish fruit material zones. The cooperation is realized through local cooperatives, building production chains where TH Group provides farming and preliminary processing techniques to the farmers. With this model, the cooperative plays as a link in the value chain driven by the enterprise who develops production plan, set technical standards as well as product quality requirements.

The Project on high-quality vegetable, fruit and rice cultivation invested by TH Group applies a strict management process from cultivation to distribution, “from farm to plate”, to keep the natural goodness in the products. The company not only makes considerable contribution to environment protection but also becomes a pioneer model in high-tech in agriculture.

FVF is also known as a pioneer of organic agriculture - a system that strives to provide consumers with clean, delicious and authentic foods by adopting organic cultivation. Therefore, the unique characteristic of the project is the “5 No” organic cultivation model: no chemical fertilizer, no plant growth excitation, no preservatives, and no genetically modified crop. The vegetable field is controlled under Integrated Pests Management program (i.e. healthy qualified seeds with high resistance to diseases are carefully selected, cultivation areas and water sources are clean; scientific cultivation method is used to closely monitor the development of plants; harvesting, rough-wrought, preservation, and distribution always follow strict procedures). A commitment of quality and clear origin is shown on every single product.

Having an industrial scale greenhouse system and open fields for vegetable and fruits plantation, the cultivation and management of FVF Farms are conducted professionally according to strict procedures to ensure premium quality and safety of the vegetables and fruits delivered to the consumers:

FVF PRODUCTSAfter being officially launched in 2013, the products branded FVF quickly gained customers’ trust all over the country with over 100 types of vegetables and fruits, serving thousands of meals in Vietnamese families daily.

Since the M&A, TH Group - under the guidelines of the provincial and district leaders - has taken strategic steps to contribute to the restructure of the local economy, planning to develop material area, and applying world’s advanced technology in combination with local experiences and knowledge on land and climate to enhance agricultural productivity, improving incomes and living standards of local people and the economy of Phu Quy area.

Hi-tech healthcare complex in Hanoi

On June 5-6, 2010, at Vietnam Investment Promotion Conference in Tokyo-Japan, TH Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Etablishing a Hi-tech Medical and Healthcare Complex in Hanoi with ITEC - a leading corporation in consulting, management and implementation of health projects in Japan. The event took place in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and senior leaders of the two countries.

The project was granted investment approval in an area of nearly 40ha on Vo Nguyen Giap road (Tien Duong commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi) by Ha Noi People’s Committee.

On February 2015, TH farm was honored as the “Largest Hi-tech industrialized and centralized dairy farm in Asia” by Asia Book of Records.

This event marked a significant milestone and was an honor for the agriculture and dairy farming in Vietnam in general, to TH Group and TH true MILK brand in particular. Once again, the brand TH true MILK is strengthened in the international market.

Signing MOU for Organic milk project at TH true Milk in Viet Nam

On December 2015, Control Union granted Organic Certificates to TH Herbals and FVF, two companies of TH Group for their 37 organic fresh vegetables and fruit and 5 organic herbs (used as raw materials for Total Happiness Naturals drinks sold in the US market).

TH Group has made a pioneer mark being the first enterprise in Vietnam to sign agreement to develop Organic dairy products under the brand TH true Milk according to the European and American standards.

December 10th, 2016: TH dairy farm was granted the golden cup of “Organic dairy farm for community health”.

On December 10th, 2016, during the 1st Ceremony to honor typical examples of Organic agriculture model held by the Vietnam’s organic agriculture association (VOAA), TH dairy farm was voted “Organic dairy farm for community health” by torganic agriculture experts, and became the only farm meeting all strict standards to win the cup.

On 21st February 2016, at Gulfood Awards ceremony iof the 7th World Food Exhibition Gulfood Dubai organized by the World Trade Center at Dubai (UAE), TH Group – the owner of TH true Milk brand - was honored to get 3 of the 21 top awards. In September 2016, TH’s Topkid Chocolate pasteurized yogurt and Topkid UHT drinking yogurt (Strawberry and Banana – Barley flavors) won Gold Awards of “Product of the year 2016” at the WorldFood Exhibition Moscow 2016. Celebrating Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day 13/10, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) associating with Central Committee’s Commission for Emulation and Reward elected Mrs. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of TH Group – to be the Businesswoman of the Year - Thanh Giong Award. She was appreciated for the revolutionary achievements in Vietnam dairy market. She helped increase fresh milk segment market share to 34% at present from 8% in 2008 (when TH true MILK was founded). 16th April 2017: TH true MILK won Green Product Award 2017

With the motto “be kind to mother Earth and mother Nature”, TH true MILK strives to improve its farming and production towards fresh and green conditions. The efforts were recognized by “Prestigious product for people’s health and Green product 2017” award, which was given by the Vietnam Food Science and Technology Association.

2nd April 2017: TH true MILK won National Quality Award

The award was given to TH Milk JSC, the entity operating TH’s fresh milk factory. TH true MILK has been well-known as the pioneer on the dairy market and the leading fresh milk supplier. This was the second time TH true MILK was honored with this award. In 2013, the Company took part in the National Quality Award Competition and won the gold prize after satisfying all strict requirements from the judging board.

According to Mrs. Thai Huong, school milk is a critical solution to children’s healthcare and great contribution to the comprehensive development of next generations of the country.

The golden age group mentioned by Mrs. Thai Huong consists of children at pre-school and primary school age. A lot of researches show that about 54% of maximum height can be reached when a child is 3 years old, 32% at about 12 and the remaining 14% at 18. TH Group, under the leadership of Mrs. Thai Huong, conducted researches and successfully developed TH SCHOOL MILK. The formula was scientifically consulted and clinically tested by the National Institute of Nutrition with the consultancy of Doctor Frank Wieringa – a nutritionist from the French National Institute of Nutrition.

TH SCHOOL MILK was used by 4,200 students in 15 kindergartens and primary schools in Nghe An. On evaluation of this program’s result, Associated Professor Nguyen Thi Lam - Vice Director of the National Institute of Nutrition shared: “The research findings made by the National Institute of Nutrition shows that adding one bottle of TH SCHOOL MILK to the kids’ daily diet helped improve their nutrition status regarding the indicators of both height and weight and decrease the micronutrients deficit”.

Since 2015 – 2016 school year up to now, TH Group has been co-operating with the Central Government to implement the school milk program in Nghe An province and then expand the program to other provinces.

The program has created a revolutionary improvement in the nutrition status of school-age children, ensuring social equity goals: funding students according to their family economic conditions to assure that all School children get the School milk. Successful implementation of the Program has contributed significantly to the Government’s implementation of the Master plan for physical development of the Vietnamese. This is also the achievement of manpower development, enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s labor force.

In his speech to the event, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Vu Duc Dam highlighted that “Let’s join hands for the children to be brought up with breast milk and high quality dairy products imbued with love, responsibility, confidence and pride as well. The sentiment and pride are seen not only through volunteer or charity activities but also through the brilliant examples in business and production of Vietnamese enterprises who promote Vietnamese business culture with the intelligence, creativeness and desire to rise up for a sustainable Vietnam”.

On 4th September 2014, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam in cooperation with TH Group kicked off the program “Join Hands for Vietnamese Stature” in Hanoi. It was an important event to call for various resources for the School Milk proposal - one of the six components of the project approved by the Prime Minister to improve the physical and stature of the Vietnamese in the period of 2011 - 2030.

“Studies show that children from 0 to 12 years of age grow up to 86% of their physical and mental potential, but for certain reasons, some mothers do not pay proper attention to nutrition for their children, including milk consumption” asserted Mdm. Thai Huong. “Being aware of the necessity of School Milk Program, TH Group has proposed supportive mechanisms and called for community’s involvement to implement the program immediately. We believe that mothers will understand that to enable milk consumption is to not let their kids miss the development opportunity at the golden ages. A day delayed for School Milk program means a day the children missing the opportunity”.

The live broadcasting program was aimed to kick off the implementation of Government Decision 1340/QD-TTg (dated on 8th July 2016) approving the School Milk Program to improve nutritional status, contributing to improving the stature and physical strength of kindergarten and primary students. This decision was a strong move of the Government in implementing the School Milk program.

The typical model mentioned in the live broadcast program is TH Group’s way of doing which focuses on three main issues: contributing to the development of school milk standards (conducting clinical research and producing fresh school milk - TH school MILK); proposing initiatives on supporting mechanisms so that poor/pro-poor students can drink school milk; proposing finance solutions through the school milk account for poor/pro-poor children to get the milk.

Also at the event, Mrs. Thai Huong proposed the idea of SOCIAL MOTHER. TH Group committed in 5 years (2016-2021) to support the cost of school milk products worth 200 billion VND through the account “School Milk for Vietnamese Stature”.

This program has proven to be nutritionally effective. In 2015-2016, the rate of height/weight malnutrition in kindergartens in Nghe An decreased by 2.07% on average. In the 2016-2017 school year, the height/weight malnutrition decrease rate in kindergartens increased from 2.39 to 2.78%, higher than the average decrease recorded in the out-of program-schools.

Letter to mothersThe wholehearted love from mothers for their babies is always the greatest. What a mother can do for her kids, she will do. In 9 months and 10 days, the babies grow up inside the mothers’ bodies, nurtured by their mothers’ nutrition. During the first months of their lives, the new-born are brought up by breasts. The toddles take their first steps towards their mothers. The first word a baby speaks out is “mom”, the first lesson they learn is from their mothers. Mothers always protect their children in their arms. They provide their children with tireless wings to fly them to shining horizons where the kids want to explore.

But sometimes, mothers accidentally miss their babies’ opportunities. What I want to mention is that many Vietnamese mothers do not understand that after weaning, the children have only about 10 years to significantly growth their physics and stature for their whole lifetime. Whether our children are tall, strong, and healthy or not, it depends on the nutrition they get during this golden period.

Many may not understand that Vietnamese daily meals lack up to 40% of calcium needed for the growing children, many children suffer from anemic, zinc, micronutrient deficiency due to inappropriate diet. The mother’s love is endless, but the limited understanding of nutrition or economic difficulties condition or many other reasons may make the mothers unintendedly unable to provide the best to their kids.

There is a solution that I want to present in the following, it is simply-called “School milk”.

Researches have shown that taking high-quality fresh milk daily can contribute significantly to nutritional needs and provide about 30% of the body’s required amount of zinc and iron. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has confirmed fresh milk to be the most complete feed for growing children.

Mothers should also be noted that milk of clear origin, quality assurance, with micronutrient supplementation, being appropriate to physical conditions is the optimal solution.

Get your children drink milk to not miss the growth opportunity at the golden age. A day delayed of the School milk Program is a day the opportunity passes by.

Game show “CONQUER” - Vietnam’s Brainiest Kid

The contest is for the smartest and most determined secondary students of Vietnam.

TH Group always aims for community’s benefits with a wholehearted business philosophy. NETWORK CONNECTION• The Foundation is a member of national and international networks, such as the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE), and the Working Group for Children Rights in Viet Nam.

• 2016 and 2017: Mrs. Thai Huong – the Founder cum Chairwoman of Management Board and representatives of the Foundation - donated 900 million dong in total (300 million VND/time) to the Fund for Poor Patients of the Central Obstetric Hospital. The donation is available to poor pregnant women, patients and infants at hospital.

• 2017 to 2020: The project “Mother and baby - for Vietnamese stature” is implemented to enhance knowledge and skills of workers at industrial zones about nutrition, mental, physical and reproductive healthcare.The first phase of the project included a training course and 16 communication sessions in Thang Long Industrial Park, Hanoi, from July to December 2017, in collaboration with the Trade Unions of the industrial and export processing parks in Hanoi. In addition, the project also provides leaflets on nutritional care for infants and pregnant women, mental health care for pregnant women and little kids’ mothers, etc.

- “Love from Nutrition” Fanpage: attracted more than 400 parents and people interested in the rights and health of children.- “Love from Nutrition” festival: held at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square - Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi, provided parents and children with a space for learning, playing and creativity. Parents had an opportunity to learn more about how to provide adequate and proper nutrition for their children; the children’s awareness were raised about their nutritional rights.

Brainiest Kid” broadcasted on VTV6 aand warding scholarships to the winners of the contest at TH school.

• The Foundation has granted VND69.8 billion of “For Vietnamese Stature” scholarships: Covering total fee for scholarship holders studying at TH School during 2016 - 2017 and 2017 - 2018 school years.

• Since September 2017: Partnering with the Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP) and some other organizations to develope the format for the competition of “SOIN (Social Innovation) Challenge”. The purpose of SOIN Challenge is to find out and support initiatives that address social issues, especially those that promote children’s education and nutrition rights.SOIN Challenge 2017 was launched with the message “I create” and attracted 150 ideas focusing on the fields of nutrition/health, education, agriculture, environment and society.

• Joining hands to nurture a golden generation of the country by accompanying the growing up excellent contestants of the Brainiest Kids Game Show. During 2017 - 2018 school year, the Foundation and TH School granted VND1.5 billion for all of the game show’s prizes and awards.

• Be a partner and sponsor of”Tet for the poor” program (from 2014 to now).

• Be a partner and sponsor of the “Red Sunday – Blood Donation” program (from 2014 to now).

• Partnered with the Foundation of “Poor Students in Mountainous Areas” to build Tham Pung School in Pu Xi Commune, Tuan Giao District, Dien Bien Province and collaborated with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of North Asia Bank to established Tham Hang School in Muong Hung district, Nghe An province.

ACTIVITIES FOR CONSUMERS’ RIGHTSWith the philosophy “Protecting consumers is to protect ourselves” and to enable consumers to make the best choices, TH has raised its voice to be the first enterprise to ask for the transparency of the dairy market in Vietnam. One of the decisive criteria for the product quality is the input materials which must be stated clearly and fully on the package like the way TH has been doing with all of the Group’s products.

On 27th November 2012, in Hanoi, TH Group in cooperation with Vietnam’s National Institute of Nutrition held an international seminar on milk and the launching ceremony of 3 UHT nutrients added products for adults. The seminar attracted more than 500 participants, including leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; nutritionists and dairy experts from international organizations such as WHO, FAO; the representatives from research institutes, consumers’ association, distributors and numerous press and media agencies.

On 28th November 2013, in Hanoi, the international seminar of “Hi-tech application and sustainable development for fresh milk production in Vietnam” was held by Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Association of hi-Tech Enterprises and the Embassy of Israel to Viet Nam. The Seminar was attended by representatives from international organizations and research institutes located in Vietnam.

The seminar discussed two main topics: 1) milk production and consumption trends in the world and Vietnam; 2) the application of high technologies in agriculture and dairy farming in Vietnam.

A lot of reports by international and local experts clearly pointed out the existing issues of Vietnam’s dairy industry in comparison with other countries’, particularly the import deficit due to the shortage of fresh raw milk. At the seminar, Mrs. Thai Huong shared that: “Milk is a special product which should be treated as a strategic agricultural commodity, even though this commodity occupies small share of the GDP, it delivers critical influence on the development of human. I am determined to pursue the fresh milk cause not because of the profit, but for the development of the country, for Vietnamese Stature”. She also requested the functional authorities to step in the revolution and take strong actions to boost up the sustainable growth of Vietnam’s agriculture in general and the dairy industry in particular.

BAC A BANK and TH Group also conducted charity activities together with Vinh University’s Home Club with timely financial and spiritual supports, which not only released the economic burdens but also encouraged and inspired students to overcome their difficulties. As the result, they are more confident to be better and more dynamic students. Some were sent for internship in Israel, some were recruited to work at Vinh University.

To express gratitude to officials and soldiers at Truong Sa Islands, BAC A BANK and TH Group in cooperation with Thanh Nien (the Youth) Newspaper granted 250 scholarships to children of the officials and soldiers living in the Spratly Islands. Each scholarship valued 5,000,000 VND.

In addition, TH Group has been delivering thousands of glasses of milk to children who are suffering fatal diseases at E Hospital, HCMC Tumor Hospital, Children’s Hospital 2, SOS Children Village, the orphans, the poor, and the disadvantaged.

From 2012 to 2016, TH committed to sponsor the surgery cost of 5 billion VND for more than 100 children born with heart defects. It is estimated that TH spent around 1 billion VND each year for 30 cases. The program is conducted in cooperation with Children Protection Fund of Nghe An.

NUTRITION AND MEDICAL CARE SPONSORSHIP FOR PUBLIC HEALTH

TH Group has collaborated with many social organizations to deliver millions of cups of milk to children facing mal-nutrition to help improve their health, study ability, and to make them more confident, physically and mentally stronger right at the first stages of their lives.

Since the fresh milk products of TH true MILK was launched to the market, TH Group has been performing its social responsibility by giving more than 10 million glasses of fresh milk to support social welfare activities nationwide.

These activities are such a good reminder of our honored mission with the society. This is our pride, dignity and integrity, with which we can contribute to the blossom and prosperity of the nation.
