1 Configuration Guide for SAP Capital Yield Tax Management for Banking

This Configuration Guide is a first point of entry for information about implementing SAP Capital Yield Tax Management for Banking. It describes the initial configuration steps that are required to set up a tax calculation process using the Capital Yield Tax Management (FS-CYT) application component.

This guide focuses on the mandatory steps that are required to run a simple scenario test using the delivered sample Customizing. It is designed as an introduction to setting up a test system and not as a complete guide to setting up a functional scenario. Comprehensive Customizing documentation is provided in Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management.

Make sure that you have the latest version of this document before you start the implementation.

Integration

SAP Capital Yield Tax Management for Banking 8.0 is an add-on to the following products:

● SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 and higher● SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition 1511● SAP S/4HANA 1610 and higher● banking services from SAP 9.0

Depending on the product, the Capital Yield Tax Management (FS-CYT) application component can be integrated with the following application components:

1.1 Technology Platform Information for the Integration with SAP S/4HANA 1809

SAP Capital Yield Tax Management for Banking 8.0 can be used as an add-on to several SAP S/4HANA product versions up to 1809.

As of SAP S/4HANA 1809, ABAP platform is the basis of the SAP S/4HANA product line.

ABAP platform is the foundation for ABAP-based SAP solutions that build on top of the database and data management platform of SAP HANA. ABAP platform takes full advantage of the underlying innovations offered by SAP HANA. This differs from SAP NetWeaver, where the Application Server ABAP provides a common layer for all database systems supported by SAP. ABAP platform, in contrast, is fully optimized for SAP HANA.

If you are using SAP Capital Yield Tax Management for Banking 8.0 as an add-on to SAP S/4HANA 1809, note that in the following documentation, all references to SAP NetWeaver documentation are invalid. Please refer to the relevant ABAP platform documentation for your SAP S/4HANA product release instead. Under SAP NetWeaver ABAP Platform , choose the ABAP platform release that is compatible with your SAP S/4HANA product release.

Note that the standard functions work without changing the event configuration.

1.4 Setting Up Tax Calculation for Germany

To create a simple test scenario for German tax calculation based on deposit accounts, we recommend that you reuse the following main Customizing entities:

Revenue type 1 - Interest

Module ID BCA - Bank Customer Accounts

1.4.1 Setting Up the Account-Managing System

You do not set up the account-managing system in the Capital Yield Tax Management (FS-CYT) component. However, tax calculation is an integrated step in the account settlement run, and to run an end-to-end scenario test, you therefore have to make basic settings in the account-managing system.

Execute the following steps in the account-managing system:

1. Create a business partner in the account holder role.2. Create an account for the account holder.3. Make a tax-relevant posting on the account.4. Execute a settlement run for the account.5. Display settlement results (for example, bank statement) (optional).

The required technical steps depend on the specific account-managing system that is used with FS-CYT:

● For more information about setting up a Bank Customer Accounts (IS-B-BCA) system, see Customizing for SAP Banking under Customer Accounts.

● For more information about setting up an Account Management (FS-AM) system, see Customizing for Financial Services under Account Management.

Note down the product and bank key because you will need to use them later in Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management.

1.4.2 Setting Up Business Partner Maintenance

1. Configure the connection to the business partner system.In Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management, choose Settings for Business Partner Settings for Connection of Business Partner System Basic Settings for Connection to the Business Partner System .Select 1 Central SAP Business Partner as the business partner system and then execute the report.

2. Activate the CYT business partner.BDT application XCY2 is used for German tax calculation, and application XCYT is used for all other countries. Only one of these applications can be used actively in the same client.Proceed as follows:1. Call transaction BUS1.2. Select application XCY2.3. Under Details, select the Active checkbox.4. Select application XCYT.5. Under Details, deselect the Active checkbox.

3. Define number range /IBS/PSD.If you plan to create business partners via API or BAPI, you must define a number range for number range object /IBS/PSD in transaction SNRO.

NoteFor more information about the Business Data Toolset, in Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management, choose Settings for Business Partner Settings for Business Data Toolset (BDT Toolset) .

1.4.3 Defining and Setting Up a CYT Area

You must define at least one CYT area.

Make the following settings for the CYT area in Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management under Settings for Capital Yield Tax Management (Germany) General Settings Settings for CYT Area :

1. Make the required settings in the Customizing activity Define CYT Area.For testing, you can use the preconfigured CYT area IBDE (CYT Area Germany).

2. In the Customizing activity Assign Bank Key to CYT Area, assign the CYT area to the local key and bank key that you use in your account-managing system.

1.4.4 Defining Number Ranges

1. In Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management, choose Settings for Capital Yield Tax Management (Germany) General Settings Number Range Settings .

2. In the Customizing activity Define Number Ranges, define number ranges for the following CYT number range objects:○ /IBS/SDK○ /IBS/CYCLG○ /IBS/CYCLR○ /IBS/CYEUZ

3. If you want to integrate Loans Management (FS-CML) or Treasury and Risk Management (FIN-FSCM-TRM), define a number range for /IBS/ETOBG.

NoteDo not change the settings in the Customizing activity Assign Number Ranges.

1.4.5 Connecting FS-CYT to the Account-Managing System

You must connect your FS-CYT system to the account-managing system, for example, Bank Customer Accounts IS-B-BCA or Account Management (FS-AM).

1. In Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management, choose Settings for Connection to Supplying System.2. In the Customizing activity Assign External Product to CYT Product, make the following settings:

○ To connect to IS-B-BCA, enter the IS-B-BCA product from the account-managing system as the external product. Use BCA as the module ID. Use AGS1 as the FS-CYT product.

○ To connect to FS-AM, enter the FS-AM product from the account-managing system as the external product. Use TRBK as the module ID. Use AGS1 as the FS-CYT product.

3. Ensure that tax calculation is executed as part of the settlement run.The tax calculation for IS-B-BCA accounts or FS-AM accounts is called in a function module that is assigned to a Business Transaction Event (BTE) defined in the respective IS-B-BCA or FS-AM system. Check whether the assignment has been made in accordance with the following information provided in Customizing:

○ Settings for Connection to BCA Set Up BTE Application Indicator(s)

○ Settings for Connection to Account Management Set Up BTE Application Indicator(s) .

1.5 Setting Up Tax Calculation for Other Countries

To create a simple test scenario with tax calculation based on deposit accounts for a non-localized country, we recommend that you reuse one of the following main set of Customizing entities:

Option 1: Canada

Object Type Name

CYT area IBCA - CYT Area Canada

CYT product CA1 - Canada- Product

Revenue type 1 - Interest

Module ID BCA - Bank Customer Accounts

Option 2: Australia

Object Type Name

CYT area IBAU - CYT Area Australia

CYT product AU1 - Australia - Product

Revenue type 1 - Interest

Module ID BCA - Bank Customer Accounts

1.5.1 Setting Up the Account-Managing System

1.5.4 Connecting FS-CYT to the Account-Managing System

You must connect your FS-CYT system to the account-managing system, for example, Bank Customer Accounts IS-B-BCA or Account Management (FS-AM).

1. In Customizing for Capital Yield Tax Management, choose Settings for Connection to Supplying System.2. In the Customizing activity Assign External Product to CYT Product, make the following settings:

○ To connect to IS-B-BCA, enter the BCA product from the account-managing system as the external product. Use BCA as the module ID. Use CA1 or AU1 as the FS-CYT product.

○ To connect to FS-AM, enter the FS-AM product from the account-managing system as the external product. Use TRBK as the module ID. Use CA1 or AU1 as the FS-CYT product.

3. Ensure that tax calculation is executed as part of the settlement run.The tax calculation for BCA accounts or FS-AM accounts is called in a function module that is assigned to a Business Transaction Event (BTE) defined in the respective IS-B-BCA or FS-AM system. Check whether the assignment has been made in accordance with the following information provided in Customizing:

○ Settings for Connection to BCA Set Up BTE Application Indicator(s)

○ Settings for Connection to Account Management Set Up BTE Application Indicator(s) .
