1.1 3-on-3 basketball
Welcome to the world of 3-on-3 basketball! Three-on-three basketball is a relatively
new modification to the sport that is growing in popularity every year. While already
being the most popular sport in the world, 3-on-3 is bringing in more and more people
who can play this modified form of basketball.
Three-on-three uses the same principles and concepts of regulation 5-on-5 basketball,
except that it is played on a half court with only six players on the floor. This form of
basketball allows the more recreational type of athlete to stay involved with this great
sport!
1.2 3-POINT SHOOTOUT RULES
1. One representative per area.
2. Each participant is allowed 3 warm up shots prior to each round.
3. Shooters will shoot in three rounds.
In rounds one and two, shots will be attempted from five positions behind the line.
Round One: Shooter can start in either corner. Shooter will attempt three shots from
each spot traveling around the line. (20 total shots)
Round Two: Shooter can start in either corner. Shooter will attempt two shots from
each spot traveling around the line to the other corner and two shots from each spot
back to the starting corner. (20 total shots)
Round Three: Shooter will shoot five shots from anywhere behind the line. (10 total
shots)
4. Shooter must shoot from a location behind the 3 point line. An encroachment will
count as a miss.
5. An individual's total score includes all baskets made (50 maximum).
1.3 SLAM DUNK
A slam dunk is a type of basketball shot that is performed when a player jumps in the air
and manually powers the ball downward through the basket with one or both hands
over the rim.[1]
This is considered a normal field goal attempt; if successful it is worth
two points.
The phrase "slam dunk" has since entered popular usage, meaning a "sure thing" – an
action with a guaranteed outcome.

Ultimate Frisbee
C O M P E T I T I O N
Dynamics
1. Play. Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective
endzone line. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense.
2. Entry. One team representative per area composed of one sister and one brother.
3. Scoring. Each time the offense completes a pass in the defenseâs endzone, the
offense scores a point. Play is initiated after each score.
4. Movement of the Disc. The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a
pass to a teammate (a female player should be involved in every other try for a point).
Players may not run with the disc. The person with the disc (thrower) has 10 seconds to
release the disc. The defender guarding the disc (marker) counts out the stall count
aloud.
5. Change of Possession. When a pass is not completed (ie out-of-bounds, drop, block,
interception), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the
offense.
6. Substitutions. Players not in the game may replace players in the game after a score
and during an injury timeout. Male must sub for males, and females for females.
7. Non-contact. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT MAY BE MADE BETWEEN PLAYERS! PICKS AND
SCREENS ARE ALSO PROHIBBITED! THESE ACTIVITIES CONSTITUTE A FOUL.
8. Fouls. When a player initiates contact on another player a foul occurs. When a foul
disrupts possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained. If the player
committing the foul disagrees with the foul call, the play is redone.
9. Self-Refereeing. Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls. Players
should resolve their own disputes, even when an official is present.
10. Spirit of the Game. Ultimate stresses sportsmanship and fair play. Competitive play
is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect between players, adherence to the
rules, and the basic joy of play.
