Empowering Girls, ‘Swapno’day of 15th august by arranging a den-tal Check Up Camp with Felicitation of 50 Frontline working Girls of an organization

‘Nistha’ (with whom rotary budge budge is continuing a Global Grant project) with Gift packs, sweets, Chocolates & Certificates who worked from the front by going to each & every house of their Village for thermal screening & awareness from the First phase of Covid 19 till date.

the mentioned program took place on 14th aug, 2021, saturday at sharada bhawan, tongtala, baruipur. around 80 Girls attend-ed the dental awareness program & were also been given a Free dental Check Up.

the event ended with as priceless moment when the Girls & Nistha’s management team along with the members of rC budge budge celebrated the birthdays of three past presi-dents of the Club namely tamalesh Kumar (8th aug), d K mohta (13th aug) & sandip moitra (14th aug) by Cake Cutting over there.

the Girls of rotary priti Vocational training Institute started the ‘Face mask’ segment from tuesday 10th september, 2021, where they will be stitching masks on regular basis. the Initiative headed by director rtn deba-sis Chakraborty, advisor rtn d K mohta & our Leader president rtn Nilanjan sen.

A detail Interactive session was done on by the members of rC budge budge with riv-er Side Complex personal residents includ-ing one of the secretary mr mohanty along with secreatry of shiv mandir & bata Club (old) namely mr mohapatra. old enriched relationship of rC budge budge with bata Club were discussed along with many of the positive proposed work which can be done hand in hand in future as per finalization. ev-

on 18th august, 2021, at Zoom online platform a Zonal talk session was initiated & hosted by rotary Club of behala where rotary Club of budge budge was a Co Host having a detailed awareness & discussion session with Guest speaker mr partho ba-nerjee (management Guru) on the very im-portant topic of telecom Industry in India was done. It was a very productive session where lots of updation & forthcoming prob-abilities on telecom Industry in India was discussed in length.

rotaract Club of budge budge completed their 2nd project named ‘abhinandan’ where they distributed 1 Lungi and 1 bengali towel (Gamcha) to each of the 15 Hand rikshaw pullers on 21st august 2021, saturday at bowbazar area of Kolkata. the beneficiaries gave a very positive reaction especially due to immense utility of the materials to them. around 4 rot-aractors were present.

to 5 rCCs namely rCC Nishchintapur (ashok Nandy), rCC mahishamuri (amar Halder), rCC rajarampur (surajit sardar), rCC paik-para (banibrata) & rCC prinitir prayas (anin-da Nandy) who intern did the plantation at their respective areas. It was a massive im-pactful Inirtiative covering a wide range of places from Nischintapur, mahishamuri, ra-jarampur, paikpara of south 24 parganas & panihati sodepur of North 24 parganas. the help of the district was really appreciative & the active participation of the rCCs were ab-solutely hearting & overwhelming.

n President Nilanjan Sen called the Meeting No 2369 to order.

n Minutes of the previous Meeting No. 2368 were confirmed by the members of RC Budge Budge.

n President Nilanjan Sen welcomed all the members & guests attending the meeting.

n On request from the President, Rtn Ashoke Kumar Basu led the National Anthem.

n President then gave a brief of the upcom-ing Projects namely the Project proposed by the District on Women Empowerment ‘Swapno’ celebrating 75th Year of Indian Independence where Rotary Budge Budge has finalised a program at ‘Nistha’, Tong-tala, Baruipur, South 24 Parganas on 14th August, 2021 conducting a Dental Check Up Camp for the Girls along with felicitation of 50 Girls who relentlessly had worked as Frontline Covid 19 workers from last year onwards.

n President Nilanjan Sen called the First Board Meeting of RY 2021-2022 to order & the Minutes of the last Board Meeting were confirmed by the Present Board Members.

n President requested Treasurer Sandip Moi-tra to place Club Accounts as on 31st July, 2021. Treasurer Sandip Moitra conveyed that the Accounts is not yet updated due to some technical reasons & confirmed that it will be placed in the next Board Meeting.

n President proposed the name of the 5 New Members with their filled up joining form, Biodata & KYC Paper & it was passed & approved by all the Board Members. Mem-bership Chair Biswanath Bhattacharya re-quested President to print their Biodata in the next Club Bulletin.

n President informed the Club Members that the initial paper work & enquiry for proposal of reconstruction of School Building at Ma-hishamuri Village, 24 Parganas (S) under RCC Mahishamuri is under process & sub-jected for finalisation.

n President proposed for change of Club Day & Club Time from Tuesday 6.30 PM

n Being requested by the President, Installa-tion Chair Tamalesh Kumar gave a detailed over view planning of the Upcoming Hybrid Installation Ceremony at 5.30 PM on 11th August, 2021, Wednesday at FOSMI Con-ference hall designed as Studio & Zoom Online Virtual Platform.

n President Nilanjan Sen then briefed about a upcoming finalized Thalassemia Aware-ness Program at Village Mahishamuri with RCC on 1st September with Guest Speak-er Dr Romendu Homchowdhury. He also mentioned that a 20 Street Light Installation will be done at the same Village along with a ‘Elish Festival’ during return among the members.

n President then proposed 5 New Members namely Mr Amitava Chatterjee, Mr Pallab Banerjee, Mr Debabrata Das Chowdhury, Mr Rajorswi Roy Chowdhury & Mr Subir Dutta with their Biodata. Out of five, four

n On being requested by the MC Debashis Chakraborty, IPP C P Agarwala gave his speech on Club Projects during his Presi-dent ship & also declared that he will deliver his token of recognition to the members in the next physical function.

n IPP then handed over the Charter, Collar, Gravel & Hammer to President (RY 2021-2022) Nilanjan Sen.

n President Nilanjan Sen then showed his gratitude to IPP C P Agarwala & felicitated him with a token of Love.

n President Nilanjan Sen gave a special thanks to IPP & welcomed DG Prabir Chatterjee, DGE Ajoy Kumar Law, DGN Hiralal Yadav, AG Tanu Roy, ZS Ritwik Ganguly, IPDG Sudip Mukher-jee, all the PDGs & District Officials present, all the Past & Present Presidents, Secretaries, Rotarians, Rotaracts, Guests, Friends & our Club Members attending the meeting.

n Being requested by the President DGN Hi-ralal Yadav present virtually gave his speech highlighting the enriched history of RC Budge Budge Sustainable Permanent Projects.

n DGE Ajoy Kumar Law then being requested by President delivered his esteemed speech on the Glorious Past of RC Budge Budge.

n President then requested District Governor Prabir Chatterjee to deliver his speech.

n DG Prabir Chatterjee then gave a very informative & specific guidance on future District Projects along with the Clubs. He also elaborated the enriched great history of Service Projects of RC Budge Budge which had been continuing for long. Need of New Membership is another focus area which was hugely emphasized by the Dis-

trict Governor. He emphasized on working specifically more on the 7 Focus Areas of Rotary International. District Governor Prabir Chatterjee confirmed & assured his all possible support & guidance from time to time to President Nilanjan Sen.

n Being requested by the President, District Governor inducted new member Mr Pallab Banerjee present physically by handing over Rotary Pin along with Rotary Kit. DG also gave his enlightened advice to the new Rotarians.

n President Nilanjan Sen then felicitated DGE Ajoy Kumar Law & DG Prabir Chatterjee & handed over a Rotary Foundation payable cheque amounting to 300 $ to the honorable District Governor on behalf of Club & Members.

n President then felicitated Installation Chair PP Tamalesh Kumar.

n President also felicitated PP D K Mohta.

n On request from MC Debashis Chakraborty, PP D K Mohta gave a formal Vote of Thanks to each & everybody attending the meeting both physically or virtually.

n PP Biswanath Bhattacharya also briefed about the old history of relationship of Ro-tary Budge Budge & Bata Authority.

n President then gave a brief of the upcoming Projects:

w 18th-19th Sep, 2021: Project ‘Viranga-na’ at Baruipur

w 24th-26th Sep, 2021: Somudra Kinare at Mandarmanir Beach with 2nd Board Meeting & RFW

n Being requested by the President, PP San-dip Moitra gave a detail overview of the Hariyali Project proposed by the RI District 3291 & completed by RC Budge Budge through 6 RCCs at six different locations namely RCC Nischintapur, RCC Paikpara, RCC Rameshwarpuur, RCC Mahishamuri, RCC Mukundapur & RCC Pranitir Prayas (Sodepur).

n President then briefed about the change of venue & date of the upcoming Thalasemia Awareness Program at Sharada Bhawan, Tongtala, Baruipur Road, 24 Parganas (S) on 8th Septewmber, 2021 instead of Ma-hishamuri Village on 1st September, 2021. The Guest Speaker will be same i.e., Dr Ramendu Homchowdhury

n President Nilanjan Sen also informed that the 20 Street Light Installation Program at Mahishamuri Village, 24 Parganas (S) along

with an ‘Elish Festival’ during return among the members date will be finalized shortly.

n Being requested by the President, PP Ta-malesh Kumar informed about a proposed Online Virtual Thalassemia Awareness Program with the Interact Clubs of RI Dis-trict 3291 & a Physically arranged Cervical Cancer Awareness Program among village women at Sharada Bhawan, Tongtala, Ba-ruipur Road, 24 Parganas (S). The date of both the above will be finalized shortly.

n Treasurer informed the Club Members to pay the Semi Annual Dues if pending at the earliest.

n In absence of the Club Secretary & being requested by the President PP Sandip Moi-tra conducted the Club Business confirming the presence 12 Members & 1 Guest.
