1 About

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE“The Road to Zero”While efforts towards improving road safety in Asia are finally starting to make headway, the chal-lenge to reduce fatalities remains immense. According to the Asian Development Bank, 60% of the 1.2 million fatal traffic injuries take place on Asia’s road network. Many of the contributing factors to this epidemic such as deficient infrastructure, outdated standards, and poor enforcement can and should be addressed if the proper training, knowledge, and resources were made available.

The “IRF Regional Conference & Exhibition for Road Safety” will address the road safety problem on a truly regional and holistic basis. The conference will discuss how Asian economies can adopt the “Safe System” Approach including its engineering and enforcement components, to eliminate need-less deaths.
