You should write a 3,000 word essay that analyses the policy-making framework for a country of your choice.

Individual Essay

Present a brief overview of the country and the characteristics of its tourism industry

Identify the key actor groups that are involved in tourism in the country, i.e. public sector organisations, private sector and other interest groups

Critically analyse the (likely) influence of these various actor groups involved in tourism policy-making in the country

You should make reference to specific examples of actor groups to illustrate

The essay should…

For a country of your choice, critically evaluate the role that Government plays in supporting the tourism industry to help meet the country’s development needs.

The report should include: A brief introduction to the chosen country An overview of the country’s development status and development needs

A critical evaluation of the role that Government plays in supporting the tourism industry

Individual report

The exam can be based on any aspect of the course

The questions will be based on topics discussed in the lectures and tutorials

Weekly completion of the lectures and tutorials is strongly advised!
