Belajar Resolusi Konflik di Bulan Damai

Begitulah suasana pembukaan PeaceSantren Nasional

2021. Sebanyak 158 peserta dari 17 kota di Indonesia

mengikuti acara tahunan PeaceGen dan Peace Academy

ini. Jika tahun lalu mengangkat tema Happy Tanpa Bully,

maka tahun ini tema yang diangkat adalah Konflik Bikin

Epik.

Peserta PeaceSantren Nasional ini sangat beruntung,

karena mereka menjadi orang pertama yang mencicipi

modul Konflik Bikin Epik yang fresh from the oven.

Dengan dukungan dari Asia Philanthropy Circle, modul

ini rampung beberapa bulan sebelum ramadhan.

Modul ini merupakan pengembangan dan pendalaman

dari modul 12 Nilai Dasar Perdamaian. Modul Konflik

Bikin Epik juga dilengkapi dengan serial podcast dan

board game Peacebaker.

Tema konflik ini sangat berkaitan sama kehidupan kita.

Nggak anak-anak nggak dewasa, pasti menghadapi

konflik dalam hidupnya. Damai itu bukan nggak ada

konflik, damai itu pandai mengelola konflik.

Selain PeaceSantren, di bulan ini juga Sociopreneur

Academy by HOPE sudah memasuki Demo Day

Terminal-2. Di journey ini, para peserta mulai belajar

tentang bagaimana mengelola komunitas dari mulai

keuangan, project management, hingga sumber daya

manusia.

Ruangan zoom ramai. Terlihat wajah lucu anak-anak TK dan SD. Ada juga

kakak-kakak remaja SMP, SMA hingga anak kuliahan. Putri Yasmin menyapa dan

membuka acara. Tak lama kemudian muncullah Aladdin.

Dengan bekal ini diharapkan misi komunitas bisa

sampai tujuan, karena nggak jarang sebuah inisiatif

sosial yang keren tapi akhirnya layu di tengah jalan

yang disebabkan lemahnya manajemen dan

operasional.

Pada Demo Day Terminal 2, masing-masing

komunitas diberi kesempatan untuk presentasi. Hadir

sebagai juri, Amelia Hapsari dari Ashoka, seorang

pegiat film dan perwakilan pertama dari Indonesia

yang duduk sebagai juri Piala Oscar. Ada juga Nita

Andriasih dari AIPJ Australia dan Pastor Ferry dari

Eco Camp.

Sociopreneur Academy by HOPE masih menyisakan

satu journey. Di bagian akhir nanti para peserta akan

menyusun sebuah presentasi lengkap untuk pitching

di hadapan juri yang tak kalah keren.

Selain dua program di atas, masih banyak aktivitas

lain yang semuanya berkaitan dengan upaya

menerapkan benih perdamaian. 12 bulan dalam

setahun PeaceGen terus menebar benih perdamaian.

Tapi di bulan ramadhan ini menjadi spesial karena

bulan ini adalah bulan kedamaian.

Learning Conflict Resolution in the Month of Peace

That was the atmosphere for the opening of the 2021

National PeaceSantren. A total of 158 participants from

17 cities in Indonesia participated in this annual

PeaceGen and Peace Academy event. Last year the

theme was “Happy Without Bully,” and this year the

theme was “Conflict Makes Epic.”

The participants of the National PeaceSantren were

lucky because they were the first to receive the Conflict

Makes Epic module fresh from the oven. With support

from the Asia Philanthropy Circle, the module was

completed several months before Ramadan.

This module is the result of the development and

deepening of the 12 Basic Values of Peace. The Conflict

Makes Epic module also includes the podcast series and

the Peacebaker board game.

The theme of conflict is very relevant to our lives.

Children and adults alike are bound to face conflict.

Peace does not mean without conflict, peace is good at

managing conflict.

Besides PeaceSantren, the Sociopreneur Academy by

HOPE project also held a Demo Day Terminal-2. On this

journey, the participants began to learn how to manage

a community, including finance management, project

management, and the management of human resources.

In the Zoom room there are so many people. There are the cute faces of

kindergarten and elementary school students. There are also students from junior

high school, senior high school, and university. Princess Yasmin welcomed and

opened the event. Not long after, Aladdin appeared.

With this learning, the hope that the mission of the

community can achieve goals because uncommon

social initiatives eventually wither in the middle of the

road due to poor management and operations.

On Demo Day Terminal-2, each community presented

social initiatives. Amelia Hapsari from Ashoka served

as a judge. She is a film activist and the first

Indonesian member of the Academy of Motion

Picture Arts and Sciences, earning her a vote for Piala

Oscar or the Academy Awards. Nita Andriasih from

AIPJ Australia and Pastor Ferry from Eco Camp also

acted as judges for the event.

The Sociopreneur Academy by HOPE still has one

more journey left. At the last session, the participants

will arrange a complete presentation for pitching in

front of great judges.

Besides the two programs described, there are so

many other activities related to implementing the

seeds of peace. Twelve months a year PeaceGen sows

seeds of peace. However, our activities in the month

of Ramadan are extraordinary because it is a month

full of peace.

On behalf of the PeaceGen family, I wish you a Happy

Eid al-Fitr 1442 H, happy to celebrate the day of

victory and peace.

Inilah yang kami lakukan selama bulan April 2021:

Program yang kami kerjakan tercatat sebanyak 7 program, yaitu SEAN-CSO, Frosh Project, Sistem Deteksi Dini (SITI) 2, K-HUB PVE Community, Breaking Down The Wall (BDW), Islamic Curriculum Development (ICD), dan House of Peace and Ecology (HOPE).

Total penerima manfaat kami di bulan April 2021 adalah sebanyak 648 orang yang terdiri dari 321 laki-laki dan 327 perempuan.

Media sosial kami menjangkau 201,591 orang dengan jangkauan terbesar adalah Jakarta 8,1%, Bandung 7,3%, Makassar 3,1%, Medan 2,9%, Bekasi 2%.

Here is what we did during April 2021:

There are 7 programs that we are working on now, namely SEAN-CSO, Frosh Project, Early Detection System (SITI) 2, K-HUB PVE Community, Breaking Down The Wall (BDW), and House of Peace and Ecology (HOPE).

Our total beneficiaries in April 2021 are 648 people consisting of 321 males and 327 females.

PeaceGen’s social media has reached 201,591 users in 5 areas across Indonesia. The top five cities are: Jakarta: 8.1%, Bandung: 7.3%, Makassar: 3.1%, Medan: 2.9%, and Bekasi: 2%.

Sebanyak 10 komunitas peserta beasiswa Sociopreneur Academy by HOPE sudah melalui journey 1 dan 2, akhirnya sampai ke acara Demo Day Terminal-2 pada hari Minggu, 25 April 2021 bertempat di Eco Camp, Kabupaten Bandung.

Sebelum masuk ke Demo Day Terminal-2, peserta mengikuti rangkaian workshop dan mentoring pada Journey 2: “Memulai Perjalanan”. Beberapa kegiatan tersebut diantaranya adalah Workshop Operation 1 bersama Taufik Nurhidayatulloh pada 9 April 2021, kemudian Workshop Operation 2 bersama Nenden Vina Mutiara Ulfa yang dilaksanakan pada 10 April 2021, Workshop Operation 3 bersama Dewi Lestari pada tanggal 13 April 2021, serta Workshop Operation 4 pada 16 April 2021 bersama Emilia Tiurma.

Dalam Demo Day Terminal-2 ini para peserta beasiswa mempresentasikan project control, budget, dan bentuk monitoring program yang telah mereka rancang selama kurang lebih satu bulan saat

mengikuti workshop dan mentoring di depan para juri.

Para juri hadir dari berbagai latar belakang yang beragam dan menarik diantaranya ada Pastor Ferry Sutrisna Widjaja sebagai Kepala Yayasan Eco Learning Camp, Amelia Hapsari sebagai Framework Change dan Global Leadership Management Ashoka Indonesia, dan Nita Andriasih sebagai Senior Grant dan Contract Officer Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ) 2.

Selama penjurian, masukan dari para juri tertuju kepada pentingnya untuk membuat program dan alokasi budget yang realitis agar program bisa berjalan dengan baik. Di samping itu juga, juri juga memberikan masukan terkait pentingnya membuat story telling yang baik untuk membantu program mampu mendapatkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak. Selanjutnya, peserta akan melanjutkan perjalanan pada Journey 3: “Memulai Perjalanan” setelah Demo Day Terminal-2 ini dilaksanakan.

Pada acara Demo Day Terminal-2 ini ada beberapa hal yang istimewa. Setelah acara penjurian selesai ada kegiatan gathering komunitas. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan berbagai permainan dengan tujuan para komunitas saling mengenal, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sharing one on one antara berbagai anggota komunitas untuk mendapatkan cerita baru mengenai komunitas masing-masing. Selanjutnya acara ditutup dengan buka puasa bersama di Eco Camp.

Profil Peserta Sociopreneur Academy by HOPE (Bagian 2)

Komunitas Belajar Bersih (Kobersih) adalah komunitas bimbingan belajar yang berwawasan

lingkungan dengan sistem pembayaran menggunakan sampah. Kobersih melaksanakan

bimbingan belajar ini sebanyak dua kali dalam satu minggu, bertempat di Kp. Sekepicung,

Ciburial, Kab.Bandung.

Komunitas Belajar Bersih

Kelas Tambahan adalah sebuah komunitas atau organisasi non-profit yang bergerak di

bidang pendidikan yang secara khusus memberikan pembelajaran tambahan di luar jam

sekolah untuk anak-anak usia 5-14 tahun. Kelas Tambahan memulai kegiatan pembelajaran

dengan mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang

menyenangkan.

Bioskop Harewos adalah organisasi yang bercita-cita membaurkan teman-teman difabel netra

dengan lingkungan non-difabel melalui program/aktivasi/kampanye yang berfokus untuk

mengurangi stigma negatif dan kekhawatiran masyarakat terhadap difabel netra serta

peningkatan kapasitas diri difabel netra.

Abiwara Institute adalah sebuah komunitas pendidikan di Bandung yang mendirikan sebuah

sekolah informal untuk remaja usia 16-19 tahun di Kertasari, Kab. Bandung. Abiwara Institute

bermimpi akan menjadi tempat belajar yang sesungguhnya bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan

kualitas diri sebagai manusia yang berakal, bermoral, dan senantiasa beramal.

Sayur Corner adalah alternatif pasar digital dalam memasarkan hasil panen dari para petani.

Terbentuknya Sayur Corner diawali dari rasa empati terhadap kisah para petani yang hasil

panennya dibeli dengan harga tidak menentu. Harapannya para petani bisa merasa lega karena

produk panennya memiliki harga yang aman.

“Saya senang sekali bisa berada di sini, mendengarkan ide kreatif

Saya mendengarkan banyak ide menarik, dan sudah cukup

dianalisis, sudah cukup jelas serta sudah memiliki perencanaan

yang cukup matang. Mungkin satu-satunya saran yang bisa saya

berikan adalah dalam penceritaan, karena kadang-kadang hasil

dari sebuah pertemuan atau percakapan dan bagaimana cara

Ten communities participating in the Sociopreneur Academy by HOPE have gone through Journey 1 and 2, finally arriving at the Demo Day Terminal-2 event on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Eco Camp Bandung.

Before participating in the Demo Day Terminal-2, participants took part in a series of workshops and mentoring on Journey 2: "Starting a Journey". The activities included Workshop Operation 1-4 with Taufik Nurhidayatulloh on April 9, 2021, Nenden Vina Mutiara Ulfa on April 10, 2021, Dewi Lestari on April 13, 2021, and Emilia Tiurma on April 16, 2021.

At Demo Day Terminal-2, the participants presented to the judges a project control, a budget, and a monitoring program that they had designed for approximately one month while participating in workshops and mentoring.

The judges came from various backgrounds. There was Pastor Ferry Sutrisna Widjaja, Chair of the Eco Learning Camp Foundation, Amelia Hapsari, Framework Change and Global Leadership Management at Ashoka Indonesia, and Nita Andriasih, Senior Grant and Contract Officer for the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice 2.

During the judging process, input from the judges focused on the importance of making a program with a realistic budget so that the program could run successfully In addition, the jury also provided input regarding the importance of good storytelling to help the program receive support from various parties. In late May, the participants will continue on to Journey 3: “Starting a Journey.”

During Demo Day Terminal-2, something special happened. After the judging event was over, there was a community gathering activity. The activity began with some games with the goal of helping the community get to know each other. After that, there was one-on-one sharing as people told about their respective communities., The event ended with iftar together at the Eco Camp.

Komunitas Belajar Bersih (Kobersih) is an environmentally friendly tutoring community

with a garbage payment system. Kobersih does tutoring twice a week at Sekepicung,

Ciburial, Bandung.

Kelas Tambahan is a community/ non-profit organization focused on education that

provides additional learning outside of school for children ages 5-14. Kelas Tambahan

provides English learning activities using a fun learning method.

Bioskop Harewos

Bioskop Harewos is an organization that facilitates programming and activities for

individuals with visual disabilities. They focus on promoting inclusivity, reducing negative

stigma and increasing public awareness about people with visual disabilities. Oftentimes, there

are events at the cinema with visual readers.

Abiwara Institute is an educational community in Bandung that has established an informal

school for adolescents ages 16-19 in Kertasari, Bandung. Abiwara Institute aspires to be a

real place of learning for students to develop as human beings who are intelligent, moral, and

always do good things.

Sayur Corner is an alternative to the digital market in marketing agricultural products from

farmers. The establishment of Sayur Corner began with a sense of empathy for the farmers

whose crop prices were uncertain. The hope is that farmers can be relieved because they

have the right prices.

“I am ecstatic to be here, listening to creative ideas from the

Sociopreneur Academy participants by HOPE. I've heard lots of

great ideas and they have been sufficiently analyzed, clearly

explained, and involved a good plan. The only advice I can give is

that in storytelling, because sometimes it's the result of a meeting

or conversation, how we convey it to the audience is extremely

impactful. There are many ways to tell stories that can be read in

books, but personal motivation is often the most interesting.”
