THE CASE

In Friday morning, at 08.00 am, there is a bushfire in Sidoarjo. At 12.00 am, the fire is in the middle of Sidoarjo and Surabaya, which there are 10.000 milliion people there. Because of the the weather is so hot, dry, and windy, so the fire come to Surabaya so fast. At 04.00 pm the fire is in Surabaya.

2. IDENTIFY AND ASSESS ASSETS AT RISK FROM BUSH FIRE

• Human settlement assets such as infrastructure, properties, and buildings.  

• Environmental assets such as locally important flora and fauna in Surabaya zoo

• Economic assets such as commercial forests, tourist destinations and land used for primary production.

  It is important to decide the proper action in this incident!

AFTER COMPOSE A TEAM AND ASSES THE RISK....

1. Give an announcement to the people who lives in Surabaya that there is bush fire in Sidoarjo people must informed themselves by listening to the radio or tv about the levels of the fire. There are three levels of Bush Fire Alerts Advice, Watch and Act, Emergency Warning.

2. Informed to the people :Move flammable items such as outdoor furniture, doormats, hanging

baskets away from the houseEnsure they drink plenty of water so they do not dehydrate.Prepare an Emergency Survival Kit before the bush fire season startPrepare Personal Protective Equipment mask, glooves, glasses, bootsEvacuation traffic Province road (to Jombang) and Suramadu bridge

(to Bangkalan)

WHEN THE BUSH FIRE GETTING CLOSER......

12.00 AMThe Alert Level is WATCH AND ACT, it means that there is heightenened level of threat. Conditions are changing and we need to start taking action now to protect the people who at bush fire risk.And then, What must we do??1. Identifiy the victims, including their needs2. Evacuation the victims to the shelter

The shelter must be in good condition proper bared sanitation, safety food, proper health care center

EMERGENCY WARNING...04.00 PM

An Emergency warning is the highest level of Bush Fire Alert.Everybody has to be mobilized to the shelter before the fire comes to Surabaya.BMG keeps monitor the weather such as wind direction, humidity,

temperature, etcFire department keeps trying to reduce the fire

WHEN THE BUSH FIRE END.....

1. Try to look for the victim2. Clean up the location, don’t forget that the cleaner must wear PPE. 3. Identify the quality of the environment air, soil, water4. Identify what kind of help that they need to reclaim the location5. Reconstruction the location6. Before the people back to Surabaya, ensure that the air, soil, and water

is safe.
