MASS & ENERGY BALANCE: Mass & Energy Balance each process,

overall mass & energy balance, mass & energy efficiency calculation,

simulation of process using simulator

Assignment 2 Equipment Sizing & Material Construction

Assignment 3 Process Integration & Optimization

HEAT EXCHANGER NETWORK ANALYSIS: Heat Exchanger Network

Design (includes stream classification and pinch design method)

UTILITY: Utility equipment selection & description, water utility, fuel

utility, electric utility, comparison of utilityrequirements before and

after HEN (calculate the energy efficiency)

REVISED P&ID (considering HEN)

Assignment 4 HSE & Plant Layout

HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY ASSESSMENT: Including HIRA,

HAZID, HAZOP, operational details, Personal equipment, area

classification, safe range between equipment, process control details

WASTE MANAGEMENT: Identifying waste and impurities, numerous

ways to manage the waste, selected concept and embedding it in

process flowsheeting

PLANT LAYOUT: total factory layout, process layout (incuding size and

safe range), warehouse, utilities, 3D perspective

Assignment 5 Economic Analysis

Calculation of Capital Expenditure, Operational Cost, Profitability

Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis (including guhtrie factor, FOB CIF, etc)
