THE ASSOCIATION OF SHARING MATERIALS AMONG STUDENTS WITH PEDICULOSIS CAPITIS IN AULIA CENDEKIA BOARDING

 Background  !ediculosis capitis is a head louse infestation on hu"an#s scalp and 

hair caused $y !ediculus hu"anus capitis% !ediculosis capitis are a$le to

trans"it either with direct contact $etween head&to&head and indirect contact 

 fro" patient#s "aterials% 'oarding school is one of populous ha$itations whereas

the students are learning and living together in the sa"e place% s they

conjunctively share things such as "attresses, $ed covers, $lankets, co"$s,

 pillows, towels, scarves, caps, and veils regularly, the trans"ission will likely

occurs% he ai" of this study was to deter"ine the association of sharing 

"aterials a"ong students and pediculosis capitis in ulia *endekia 'oarding 

School alang +a"$e Sukara"i !ale"$ang%

 M!"od  *ross&sectional design was used in this study% he population consists of 

- students% .ata collective consist of su$jects# characteristics and $ehavior 

related to goods sharing and usage, define $y /uestionnaire% he results were

analy0ed using *hi&S/uare, Fisher#s 12act est, and 3ogistic 4egression%

 R#u$!# Study shows that percentage of pediculosis capitis incident was 56%78%Statistics shows the pro$a$ility value for sharing usage of "attresses, $ed covers,

 pillows, $lankets, co"$s, scarves, caps, veils, and towels share together with the

 pediculosis capitis are 9%-:: (p;9%9:), 9% 9%9:), 9%?=6 (p; 9%9:), 9%::7 (p; 9%9:), 9%=9- (p; 9%9:), 9%77: (p; 9%9:),

9%9?= (p> 9%9:)% Meanwhile the p value for "attresses&sharing for girls is 9%957

(p>9%9:) and co"$&sharing for $oys is 9%9-? (p>9%9:)% 3ogistic regression

analysis results showed that sharing usage of "attresses was the do"inant 

varia$le that affected the incident of pediculosis capitis with coefficient (12p%@)

Conc$u#%on here is a significant association on sharing usage for varia$les of 

$lankets, towels, and "attress as for the girls, and co"$s as for the $oys with pediculosis capitis% Bowever, there is no i"plication regarding sharing usage of 

"attresses, $ed covers, pillows, co"$s, scarves, caps, and veils with pediculosis

capitis at ulia *endekia 'oarding School alang +a"$e Sukara"i !ale"$ang%

 4egression logistic reveals the sharing usage of "attresses has pro$a$ility as

 great as 79 percent likely to cause pediculosis capitis%
