CO-EDUCATIONAL ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL Affiliated to CBSE (Aff. No. 1730251), New Delhi
THE SRN TIMES Dear SRN Family
It gives me immense pleasure to showcase the success of my SRNians through this eleventh edition of the SRN Times.
At SRN International School, technology and value based education is imparted to the students and they are always
sensitized towards the society and environment.
Every month the school organizes various knowledge and learning based activities. It is a matter of pride for us that our
students exhibit respect for planet earth and conservation of natural resources. Students are actively involved in various
activities where they have taken steps like planting trees, watering trees and helping birds and animals during extreme
summers.
At SRN International School, we teach our students that determination, commitment and discipline
are the three pillars on which success stands. We empower them towards decision making, we teach
them creative ideation and we make them smarter by letting them play with technology. This
makes us unique as we let the children grow and realize their own inner potential.
I extend best wishes to all student, parents and valuable partners associated with the
school and hope that we all will think progressively towards the development of every
single child, so that every child positively contributes towards nation building.
Stay Healthy and Blessed…...!

Dearest SRNians
It is joy that the eleventh edition of SRN Times showcases such wonderful array of academic, cultural, environmental and
life- skills based activities which have been undertaken by our lovely students and energized teachers.
In this day and age, sports have become a very important yet oft neglected area for the students.
Sports players inculcate and master qualities like dexterity, dedication, team-spirit and fair play. This
month we are proud that as a school we were entrusted by CBSE to hold the CBSE West Zone
Tennis Tournament 2016 where all these qualities were exhibited by more than 300 players. All
members of the SRN Fraternity, including the adorable students, their knowledge banks- the
Gurus and loving parents, work with a pledge towards determination and dedication and hence
we will be able to achieve many more laurels for the students and the school. God bless everyone
and keep working hard.

Knowledge is any human being‟s real wealth and exams are just a part of testing the knowledge. Examination is not only
about studying hard and getting grades but it also includes several more things which can be very helpful for a student's
life. In order to remain successful, students try their best to do well in examinations and this inculcates the spirit of hard
work and determination in students. Competitive examination brings confidence in students and it is also
provides motivation for student to do more in next exams. Examinations not only increase the capability
and learning power of a student but most importantly, exams teach the student how to manage time (time
management).
We can say that exams also make a student ready for the fiercely competitive global scenario since
students learn the art of facing a challenging situation and the ability to perform their best in a limited
time span.
In short we can say that Exams inhale the knowledge of a student and exhale success for the student
and they are very important in preparing students for this competitive world.

The practice where work is done by a minor child, for making his/her family capable for survival in this world with basic
needs, is called “Child labour”. Today, this is the biggest concern for the whole world as children are the future of a nation
and if a child‟s future is healthy, safe and secure then automatically nation‟s future will be bright and successful.
Child labour is very harmful for young children and it impairs their physical, moral and mental development. Though
many reasons are there for child slavery or child trafficking but survey says that main causes of child labour are high level
poverty and lack of access to good education. Development of the country is directly affected by this crime and child
labour is a big reason of under-development of the country. A financially developed country provides all
circumstances to its citizens that can help in making their new generations educated and healthy.
India is the 2nd highest populated country in the world with around 40% children under the age of 18. More
than half of the total numbers of children are engaged in child labour. Many poor parents are still not
aware of the disadvantages of child labour and how it could affect their children in terms of their
education, heath, physical, mental and social growth.
We all should come together for tackling this big problem –„Child Labour‟ in order to bring happiness
and joy on every child‟s face and the entire Nation.
