Mission: To empower and support students, parents, and faculty in creating the safest schools possible.Vision: That every child is safe at school.Program:
▶ This fund is established for Jefferson and Lewis County school districts.▶ Students, faculty and parents will be eligible to apply for funding for
projects approved and supported by the district. ▶ Concepts may be anything that the applicant can demonstrate will foster
a safer school environment. ▶ Examples of projects include costs associated with guest speakers or
materials for movements out of national school safety initiatives, changes to the building/facility, education on county, state and/or federal sensible policy change, or raising public awareness.

Student Capacity on Buses
Buses servicing on-post have a capacity of 72-77 passengers- Both Transportation Departments run routes well below legal capacity- Primary/Elementary Runs – Students can sit 3 to a seat- Middle/High School – All efforts to sit 2 to a seat
- Some routes do have a few rows that are 3 students to a seats- Each district tries to keep capacity between 50-55 students
Typical High Capacity Routes = Later School Buses Runs- Sports and other academic/extra-curricular activities- Difficult to predict # of students each day- Students can help too!
- Sharing Seats- No Large Items

School Transportation Departments servicing Fort Drum complete over 200 daily runs, involving close to 4000 students being moved twice a day.
They log over 40,000 runs a year, covering almost 1 million miles.

• The CFC is the official workplace giving campaign of the federal government.
• Since 1961, federal employees have donated more than $8.3 billion through the CFC.
• There are thousands of local, national, and international participating charities to choose from. Designations can be made to one or multiple charities.
• Campaign will run from 5 November – 10 December.
