This document describes how to update the firmware of Brook Super Converter.

NOTE The update must be done on a PC; it cannot be done on a console.

NOTE Operate it on desktop PC. For laptop, please connect your laptop to power supply.

NOTE Do it on Windows 7(and above).

NOTE Make sure your PC is connected to internet.

NOTE For Windows 10, you don’t have to install any driver for the firmware update (You don’t have to

do STEP 2 and STEP 3).

NOTE For Windows 7 & 8, it’s essential to install Xbox One driver before executing 20160418 update

(You have to do STEP 2 and STEP 3).

NOTE You have to do 20160418 version firmware update first before doing ONLINE version.

NOTE After successfully update to 20160418 version, you can only execute ONLINE version and the

following future versions. You won’t be able to execute 20160418 version (and the previous

versions) again.

NOTE Disable antivirus when operating.

NOTE It may take some time for the update to run, please wait for it to run with patience.

NOTE If there’s any problem during update, please try to

1. Disconnect, reconnect and retry

2. Switch another USB port and retry

3. Use another PC and retry

4. Reboot PC and retry

5. Restart firmware and retry

6. Shorten cable length/Use another cable and retry

7. Use another controller/stick and retry

8. Make sure you download the correct file

9. If you have installed ZeroPlus Driver before, remove it and retry



STEP 1 Download the latest update file from Brook’s website:

http://www.brookaccessory.com/download/

STEP 2 Check your system and run Windows update.

A. If it’s 64 bit, run kmdf-1.11-Win-6.1-x64 and Umdf-1.11-Win-6.1-x64.

B. If it’s 32 bit, run kmdf-1.11-Win-6.1-x86 and Umdf-1.11-Win-6.1-x86

STEP 3 After those update, install Xbox One driver.

A. If it’s 64 bit, run xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64.

B. If it’s 32 bit, run xb1usb.11059.0.140526x86

STEP 4 Run ZPPK001-A_V16_20160418 as administrator.



STEP 5 Plug your converter to PC first. When seeing green light on the converter, connect your

controller to the bottom of the converter. Follow the illustration to press

combo keys to switch the converter to update mode.

A. Press Xbox button and START button. Release them at the same time.

B. Press down Left-3DVR, hold it, and press Xbox button. Release them at the same time.

C. Press “Update”



D. Follow the illustration to press the same combo keys to exit update mode.

STEP 6 After successfully updating 20160418 version firmware, proceed to run ONLINE version.

STEP 7 Plug your converter to PC first. When seeing green light on the converter, connect your

controller to the bottom of the converter. Then, tick “Controller Compatibility Update

“column and click “START”.

STEP 8 Follow the illustration to press combo keys to initiate update.

**Note: DON’T remove the converter while the update is running.

A. Press Xbox button and START button. Release them at the same time.

B. Press down Left, hold it, and press Xbox button. Release them at the same time.



STEP 9 After successfully updating firmware, press the same combo keys again to exit update.

STEP 10 Click “FINISH”
