FIELDS of TULIPS: These are the crops of Washington Bulb Co., Inc./RoozenGaarde.They are planted to harvest and use both the bulbs and flowers.The field tulips bloom in April, but weather determines exactlywhen. Welcome to our beautiful Skagit Valley and our glorious tulips.After having to cancel most of the activities during our 2020 fes-tival because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are welcoming spring

and wonderful tulip color once again. Last year, the tulips bloomed anyway,and they have bloomed again this year. When this brochure went to the printer,we were still under the virus lockdown, but the tulips don’t care. They’re back!

Even if we don’t have our usual vast array of events, our beautiful gardensat Roozengarde and Tulip Town still have wonderful displays (be sure tocheck with the gardens for any restrictions that may apply). In this brochure,we have listed the things we knew at press time were scheduled but be sure

to check our web site www.tulips.org for the latest information. As you enjoyexploring our beautiful valley, remember to keep your eyes openfor wildlife, pull off the road to look at the fields and be sureto bring your sense of wonder, rain gear, sunscreen andcamera to capture all the beauty of the Magic Skagit Valley.

Burlington ExitExit I-5 and head west on SR 20 toward Anacortes

Proceed west on SR 20 for 3 miles until you reach Best Rd/Farm To Market Rd; TurnLeft on Best Rd and proceed 1.7 miles until you reach McLean Rd.This will put you at the McLean Rd roundabout, in the center of the tulip growing area.There are numerous routes you can follow – consult the Festival map to decide.

Conway ExitExit off Interstate 5 and head west toward LaConner

Proceed approximately 0.1 mile. Enter the roundabout and turn onto Fir Island Rd andproceed west 5.1 miles where the road curves to the left and up an incline to a bridgeover the Skagit River. Cross the bridge and continue for 3.1 miles when you will ar-rive at the intersection of Best and Calhoun roads. You are now at the southern edgeof the tulip growing area. From here, use the Festival map to visit events and activ-ities, find your favorite field or visit the gardens, RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town.

Mount Vernon ExitExit off I-5 and head west for 0.1 mile

Turn right onto S Third St for 0.3 miles, then EITHER continue onto W. Division St for 0.5 miles (you will cross the Skagit River)Turn Left onto S Wall St; Wall St turns into McLean Rd in 249 feet; Continue onMcLean Rd for 2.5 miles. OR continue onto W Division St for 2.3 miles (you will cross the Skagit River)Turn Left onto Avon Allen Rd for 1.1 miles; Turn Right onto McLean Rd and proceed1 mile to Beaver Marsh Rd.At this point you can turn Left onto Beaver Marsh Rd and proceed 0.4 miles toRoozenGaarde. Or, you can proceed on for 1 mile and turn Right onto Bradshaw Rdand proceed 0.5 miles to Tulip Town.

The quickest route out of the tulip field area is SR 20Use the Festival map to locate where you are and proceed to SR 20 and

east to I-5. If you decide to leave via Fir Island Rd to the south, we suggest you considerusing the following route from the intersection of Fir Island Rd and Pioneer Highway: Enterthe roundabout and turn onto Pioneer Highway and proceed south 2.3 miles; Turn leftonto Milltown Rd and proceed east 0.9 miles. This is the intersection of I-5 and Exit 218.From here you can proceed north or south on I-5 to your end destination.
