Bonus Bits from Brian It will soon be time to begin a new 4-H year with National 4-H week Oct. 3-9. I will be visiting both county elementary schools during lunch times of this week to promote 4-H enrollment. Be on the lookout for promotional material coming home from school, on social media, and in e-mail throughout the month. Also be on the lookout for 4-H displays in downtown Tipton at the Library and other locations! Families must re-enroll in 4-H and Mini 4-H each year by updating their 4-HOnline profile with the selection of projects and club(s), plus paying the $15 program fee (Mini 4-Hers do not pay a program fee). Step-by-step instructions will be shared by October 1. If you aren't yet sure for what all clubs or projects you wish to enroll, don't worry! You have until May 15 to log into your profile and add or drop anything. But the sooner you enroll in something, the more opportunities you'll have sooner in the 4-H year. I have been meeting with volunteers this month and have some trainings planned for the year. I am very excited about the ideas being shared and opportunities we hope to offer our youth members. One goal is to provide more year-round programming, so don't be surprised if you see more club meetings and workshops happening in the winter and spring. It's going to be a great year!
