We placed equal levels of the Prodex core and the core of bubble insulation in a sample box. We applied weighted (5kg) boards on top of each.

The bubble insulation core substantially decreased in its thickness while the Prodex core maintained most of its thickness during the test period.

· The use of an advanced foaming process in the fabrication of the Prodex core (polyethylene) results in a more stable structure.

· Bubble wraps are composed of encapsulated air. Bubble insulation looses its air pressure over time.

PRODEX®BUBBLE INSULATIONPolyethylene foam structure, �exible and elastic. Water does not leak when perforated with a fastener.

Material structure does not de�ate with the pass of time. Able to carry small weights caused by walks.

Material has a �ame retardant in its structure.

Besides working as a radiant heat re�ector, the material itself is a thermic insulator. It’s also waterproof.

The material thickness and its waterproof feature to steam guarantee no water condensation.

The layers can be thermally bound each other.

It has an auto adhesive �ange.

The 10mm thick material speaks on its own.

It has an extended experience in projects of all kind.

It’s not elastic, can’t be perforated with a fastener, and it won’t seal around the fastener (leaking danger).

The pack of bubbles pops with use or de�ates with the pass of time.

Raw material it’s just polyethylene.

Once de�ated or burst, it only works as a polyethylene �lm (water repellent, but careful with the fastening holes!).

The material isn’t thick enough to guarantee super�cial condensation prevention.

Layers can’t be thermally bound.

Does not have adhesive �anges.

Material too thin doesn’t inspire trust. There is no experience with large projects.

Bubble insulation not only pops its bubble, but alsotends to easily crack along the time.

The open cavity bubbles as they´re also known astend to collapse with the pass of time due to temperature changes and get completely ine�ective.

The bubble once collapsed directly transfers conductive heat because the aluminium is now under direct contact with both bodies which decreases its insulation capacity.
