1 Car alarm control

1) By remote-control

Dependingontheinstallation,thecaralarmcaneitherbecontrolledwithanRC-8xcaralarmcontroller,seeparagrapha),orwithanoriginalremotecontrolusedforlockingthecar,seeparagraphb).Pleasefol-lowthearticlewhichcorrespondstothetypeofinstallationinyourcar.

a) By RC-8x car alarm controllerSetting: Thecaralarmissetbypressingabutton ontheremotecontrol.Ifacentral

lockingsystemisinstalled,thecarisconcurrentlylocked.

Partial setting: Whentheremotecontrolbutton ispressedrepeatedly(within15secondsofalarmsetting),partialsettingtakesplace(confirmedbyanacousticsignal).Theinsideofthecarisnotguardedbywirelessinternaldetectorsandsoneitheravoltagedropdetectornoranysupplementarydetectorsareactivated.

Unsetting the car alarm: Thecaralarmisunsetbypressingaremotecontrolbutton .Ifthecarisequippedwithacentrallockingsystem,itisconcurrentlyunlocked.

The buttons on the right side of the controller can also be used (programmed) for different functions – e.g. the remote control of garage doors, gates, light in the garage or house, etc. More information is available from the installer or from the manufacturer.

b) By the original car remote controlSetting: Whenthecarislockedwithitsremotecontrol,thecaralarmisset

concurrently.

Partial setting: Whenyoudialthecaralarmnumberfromanauthorizedphone(seethenextparagraph),thecaralarmswitchestopartiallysetmode3).Theinsideofthecarisnotguardedbywirelessinternaldetectorsandsoneitheravoltagedropdetector,noranysupplementarydetectorsareactivatedinthismode.

Unsetting the car alarm: Unlockingthecarwithitsremotecontrolalsounsetsthecaralarm.

2) Remote control via your telephone

With the SMS commands:Set/unset/checkvehiclestatus–caralarmfunctionscanbecontrolledviaamobilephone.Thecaralarmisabletosendalarmmessagesanddialupto4telephonenumbers(hereinafter“theauthorizedphone“)whenanalarmistriggered.TheauthorizedphonecanbeusedtosendcommandsbymeansofSMSmessagestothealarmphonenumber(seethetableonthefollowingpage).

By dialling in from authorized phone numbers 3): IfthecaralarmiscontrolledwithRC-8xcontrollers,youjustneedtodialthe

caralarmnumber(theignitionkeymustbeswitchedoff).Thecaralarmwillnotanswerthecall(i.e.thecallisnotchargedfor)anditsstatuswillchange(set–unset–set...).Ifthecaralarmiscontrolledwithanoriginalremotecontrol,diallinginwillactivatepartialsettingonly(seeparagraph1b).

The car alarm may confirm the change of status with an SMS message 3).If you forget the wording of SMS message commands, you can ask the alarm unit for “help” by sending the HELP command.

3) Controlling from a different phone

ThecaralarmcanalsobecontrolledwithSMScommandmessagesfromanunauthorizedphone.Insuchacaseyouhavetoaddauser code(password)inthecommandSMSbeforethecommand.Thetextshouldbeasfollows:PASSWORD space COMMAND.Thedefaultusercode(PASSWORD)isUSER.Youcanchangethepasswordusingacommandfromthetableaboveorasktheinstallertodoitforyou.

DOther services

The car alarm can also be used for securing a garage, cargo space, a caravan, etc.

Wireless detectors:Upto8wirelessdetectorscanbeenrolledtothecaralarm.Dependingontheirtype,theyreacttothebreakingofwindows,motionorsmoke.Thedetectorsguardtheinsideofthecar,possiblyevenitsoutsideuptoadistanceofapprox.20meters.Aftersettingthecaralarm,anexitdelayof20secondsisprovidedtoallenrolleddetectors(e.g.forleavingthegarage).Ifadetectoristriggeredwhilethecaralarmisset(andwithinreachofthedetector),thealarmistriggeredeitherimmediatelyorafter20secondsoftheentrancedelay(dependingonthedetectorsettings).

Detectorscanbeenrolledasinternalorexternalones.

•Internaldetectorsarenotactivewhenthecaralarmispartiallyset,e.g.whenyouleaveadoginthecar.•Externaldetectorsarealwaysenabledwhenthesystemisset.

The detectors (sensors) are powered by batteries with a lifetime exceeding 1 year. When the batteries are low, the system sends an SMS message. Should you need more information, contact the installer or the manufacturer.

Alarm – car intrusion

Alarm: Ifthecarisguardedbythecaralarmandoneofthesensorsistriggered(open-ingofdoor,bonnet,detectoractivationetc.),thesirensoundsfor30seconds4).AlarmSMSmessagesaresent,oroptionally,callstotheauthorizedphones(upto4)aremade5).

Analarmcanbeterminated:

•bypressingaremotecontrolbutton•bysendinganSMScommandtounsetthealarmfromamobilephone

UnsettingthealarmwillterminatethesendingofSMSmessagesandcalling.YouwillsubsequentlyreceiveanSMSconfirmingproperalarmtermination.WhenthecaralarmiscontrolledwiththeRC-80wirelesskeyfob,alarmterminationwillonlyswitchoffthesiren,butthecarwillremainsecuredandlocked.Itcanonlybeunlockedwithrepeatedpressingoftheunsetbutton.

Reduction of the number of alarms: Ifanalarmistriggeredrepeatedlybythesamesensor(e.g.afaultybonnet

sensor)atatimewhenthealarmisset,thenthissensorisbypassedafter3triggeredalarms.Itwillbere-enrolledwhenthealarmissetagain.

Remote switching of the siren: �Thesirencanalsobetriggeredremotelyfromauthorizedphonesusingthe

“SIREN”SMScommand.Thiscommandwillswitchthesirenonfor30seconds.Thesirencanbetriggeredoffwiththe“SIREN OFF”command.

4)Asirenalarmcanbedisabledbyaninstaller5)Ifcallinginthecaseofanalarmhavingbeenactivatedandyouanswerthecall,youwillhearthesoundofasiren.Ifthecarisequippedwith

ahandsfreeset,beingabletolistenintothesoundsinthecarinteriorwillbesubsequentlytriggered.

Signalling

1) Acoustic signalling with the alarm siren

Thecaralarminformstheuseraboutitsstatusbysirenchirps.Thechirpsforunsetting,settingandsettingwithatriggeredinput(e.g.opendoor)canbedisabled.Otherchirpscannotbedisabledduetotheirimportance.

Warning! If the car alarm has no GSM signal at the time of setting, it chirps six times. The car alarm is thus unable to transmit SMS messages and make calls.

2) LED indicator in the car

TheLEDindicatorisusedtoshowthecaralarmstatus.Thetablebelowdescribesitsindividualmeanings.

Warning! If the LED indicator starts flashing quickly after the ignition is switched off, it indicates that there is no GSM signal and it will not be able to send any messages or make a call in the case of an alarm.

Car location and immobilization

1) GPS (CA-1803 only)

Whenyouenterthe“GPS”command,thecaralarmwillrespondbysendingyouthelastknownGPSloca-tion.Ifthecurrentlocationisunknown(thecarisparkedinanundergroundgarageetc.),thecaralarmwillsendthelastknownposition.Thecarcanbetrackedtemporarilywiththe“GPSON”commandinwhichthecaralarmsendscarpositioninformationin1-minuteintervals(onlyfor15minutes).Themessageisadjustedforthephonescapableofwebbrowsing.Coordinatesaregiveninthelinkform,withwhichcanshowthelocationontheGoogleMapswebsite.

3) Remote blocking of the car (IMO)

Thecaris“immobilized”byblockingtheimmobilizationcircuiteverytimethecaralarmisset.However,ifthekeysarestolen,thecarcanalsobeblockedremotely.Ifyousendthe“IMO”commandtothecaralarmphonenumber,youwillreceiveaconfirmationSMS.Theimmobilizationcircuitwillbeblockedim-mediatelyiftheignitionkeyisoff.Iftheignitionkeyisonwhenthecaralarmreceivesthecommand,thecircuitwillbeblockedassoonastheignitionisswitchedoff.ThiswillbeconfirmedtoyoubyanSMSmessage.Theunblockingofthecaralarmwillonlybepossibleviathe“UNIMO”SMScommand.

Ask the installer whether the IMO circuit has been installed in the car and what it blocks.

Remote access and service www.gsmlink.cz

Boththeuserandtheinstallercanusethewww.gsmlink.czwebsitetoregisterthecaralarmandcommu-nicatewithitremotely.Theaccessissecureandprotectedwithapassword.Thewebsiteallowsinspec-tionandcontrolofthecaralarmandthechangingofphonenumbersandtexts.TheCA-1803versionalsoallowsthedisplayofthecurrentcarpositiononamap.Itisalsopossibletoobtainanextractfromtheeventmemorylistingincludingtimeinformation,source,eventtypeandcarmovementhistory1).

Ifyouneedtochangeanycaralarmsettings,youdonotusuallyhavetogotoyourservicecompany.Youjusthavetomakeaphonecallandtheinstallercanperformremotesetting.MoredetailedinformationabouttheGSMLinkapplicationisavailableatwww.jablotron.cz.

Phoning with a handsfree set (HF-03)

WithaninstalledHF-03handsfreesetyoucanuseitasaphoneinthecar.Besidescallingwhiledriving,thesetalsoallowsyoutolistentothesoundsinthecarduringanalarm.

•Incoming callYoucanansweranincomingcallbypressinganyRC-8xkeyfobbuttonintheunsetstateoryoucansetthehandsfreesettoanswerthecallsautomatically3).Youcananswercallsfromalltelephonenumbers.

•Calling from the carYoucanmakecallswhileyouaredrivingbypressingoneoftheRC-8xkeyfobbuttons(A,B,1or2)pre-programmedbytheinstaller.Youcanassignadifferenttelephonenumbertoeachofthebuttons3).Thusyoucancall4presetnumbersfromyourcar.

•A call can be terminatedBypressinganykeyfobbutton.

When set, the car alarm rejects incoming calls. If the car is blocked via the “IMO” command or if there is an alarm, an incoming call is answered automatically. You can thus listen to what is happening in the car or even speak to the person inside.

Other functions

•Checking the voltage and the battery in the carAsetcaralarmchecksforasuddendropinvoltageinthecarsupply.Italsochecksthecarbatteryvolt-age.Ifitdropsbelow10.5V,thesystemsendsawarningSMS.IfthecaralarmisequippedwithaBB-02backupbattery,itisabletocommunicateevenwhenthecarbatteryisdisconnected.(IfthecaralarmisonlypoweredbytheBB-02,thesirenisdisabled.)

•Controlling other appliances in the carIfthecaralarmisconnectedtootherappliancesinthecar(e.g.anindependentheatingsystem),youcancontrolthemeitherthroughtheRC-8xkeyfoborviatheAUXSMScommand.Whenusingthekeyfob,pressthe and buttonssimultaneously.ForcontrollingwithSMScommands,followthetablebelow.SMScommandscanalsobeusedtosetthelengthoftheimpulsefortheactivationofanappliance.

The “AUX” command can be customised (e.g. to HEATING)

•Monitoring car operation – Vehicle log book (CA-1803 only)TheVehiclelogbookservicecanbeusedforthedetailedmonitoringofcompanyvehicles.Thisserviceallowstheautomaticdownloadofinformationaboutindividualtripsmadebyagivenvehicle.Thisissub-sequentlydisplayedonawebsitewithsecuredaccessbothasatextoverviewoftripsandonamap.

AsimplifiedformofcaroperationmonitoringisalsoofferedbytheGSMLinkwebsite.Thepointswhichthecarwentthroughareshownastextincludingtheprecisetime,andinformationaboutitsspeed.Eachrecordcontainsa“link”buttonwhichshowstheexactpositiononamap.TheserviceprovidedviatheGSMLinkwebsiteisfreeofcharge.Moreinformationisavailableatwww.jablotron.com.

•RoamingIfyoutravelabroadandyourSIMcardhasroamingactivated,thecaralarmwillworktheretoo.Thedevicewillautomaticallyentertheroamingpartner’snetwork.However,LOCATORandCREDITfunctionsmaynotbeavailableinforeigncountries.

•Bluetooth - GPS for navigationTheCA-1803BTcaralarmcanbeusedasanexternalBluetoothGPSpositioningsource.Itcanbeeasilyusedforcommunicationwithanavigationalprogram,e.g.inaPDAoramobilephone.Furtherinformationisavailableintheinstallationmanualorfromtheinstaller.

Themanufacturershallnotbeheldresponsiblefordamagecausedbytheincorrectorunsuitableuseoftheproductorpossiblybyitsfaultscausedbyintentionaldamageordamagecausedbyforcemajeure(fire,lightningstrikes,etc.).
