SIGMA THETA CHI ANNUAL ALUMNAE NEWSLETTER
Hello to the wonderful alumnae of Sigma Theta Chi! The
current actives would like to start off by saying thank you
for everything you have done for our sorority. We would
not be where we are today if it weren’t for the contribu-
tions and donations you have made to Sigma Theta Chi.
We are very excited to share with you the memories we
have made over the past year as well as the accomplish-
ments and any changes that have taken place in the sorori-
ty. Seventy-six years of sisterhood is a long time, and we
are so blessed to be a part of such a diverse, independent,
and strong group of women. We hope you enjoy listening
to what has taken place in Sigma Theta Chi over the past
year, and we are excited to see you all at the 76th Reunion!

A WORD FROM THE OFFICERS (2021-2022)
“My name is Olivia O’Brien and I am the current President for Sigma Theta Chi. The reason I wanted to be an officer is so
that I could continue the legacy of Sigma Theta Chi. I want to lead this group and encourage each member to be the individual,
strong, God-fearing woman they are meant to be. I love this sorority because we care for each other as an actual family would.
It has been an honor so far, and I am excited to see what happens in the future! I love this sorority and am proud to be a mem-
ber of Sigma Theta Chi!”
“My name is Lillianna (Lilly) Kellogg and I am the current Vice President for Sigma Theta Chi. I wanted to be an officer for a
few reasons, but mostly because I wanted to serve and give back to a group that has given me so much. This sisterhood gave me
lifelong friendships even before I went active. Serving as an officer gives me the chance to try and give back at least a portion of
that priceless gift. The events I plan celebrate our sisterhood and give us time to bond and make lifelong memories; serving as
VP gives me the chance to plan the best formals and brunches possible for the best group on (and off) campus. I know this is
supposed to be about why I wanted to be an officer, but my dear sisters, I want to close this out by saying thank you! None of
this would be possible without you all and I am beyond blessed to serve the best. EOX love and mine!”
“My name is Lauren Thomas and I am the current Treasurer of Sigma Theta Chi. I wanted to be an officer this year because I
love this sorority and want to make a difference and to serve the girls in my group to the best of my ability. So far it has been
great and I have learned so much! My favorite thing about being a Sig Thet is the incredible bonds I have formed with my sis-
ters and the countless laughs we have shared. It is great to always have someone to turn to whenever you are upset and know
that they will cheer you up. I cherish the memories I have made so far and cannot wait to see what senior year has in store for
me! “
“My name is Maggie Corey and I am the current Secretary of Sigma Theta Chi. I wanted to be an officer because I recognize
the responsibility it takes to serve the group as a whole to keep it functioning properly. It has been great being the secretary so
far, I get to be involved in parts of the sorority I never fully understood before. I have always respected the ladies that have
served as officers in the past and I am honored to be in this position. My favorite thing about Sigma Theta Chi is the unique
bonds that are made among everyone and how we can all mesh and come together and create memories despite us being dif-
ferent people.”

SIGMA THETA CHI FALL 2020
Fall 202o was a very interesting time for our sorority and Grove City College as
a whole. Due to Covid-19 and the worldwide pandemic, many events had to be
cancelled this year including Big Man on Campus, our formal, blind date, and
most importantly, Homecoming. This was a hard pill to swallow considering so
many alumni come back and are able to celebrate the sisterhood they had
joined. Nonetheless, the sisters of Sigma Theta Chi were closer than ever this
year and still created memories that will last us a lifetime. With every free mi-
nute came a new memory, whether that was grabbing meals with one another
at Map or Hicks, going on ice cream dates at Katie’s Corner, going for late night
Sheetz runs, or just hanging out on second floor Harker and watching a movie.
Pictured below are some of these memories.
ΣΘΧ SWEETHEART
WELCOME SISTER GARRETT !

The Sigma Theta Chi
sweetheart of 2020-2021 is
Garrett Fleck! He is a member
of the Epsilon Pi fraternity
and a wonderful addition to
our sisterhood. We are sad to
see him graduate this year,
but are excited to see what he
will accomplish in the future! RUSH 2020!!
Although many people consider Fall or Spring to be their favorite seasons, Sig-
ma Theta Chi considers Rush season to be the best. Because of the pandemic,
rush looked a little different. Bellagio was the only popcorn party we were able
to host this year, but we still made wonderful connections with rushes over the
semester through meal dates and Dunkin’ trips. We had a booth at Greek fest
(Mexico theme) as well as one at the Org Fair. Throughout the process, we met
six girls in particular that we were soon going to invite to join our growing fam-
ily. We look forward to hosting many rush parties in the future and continuing
to do a great job at it! Rush is an awesome process, especially since it is what
brought the members of Sigma Theta Chi together.
WELCOME TO THE BEST!
ATTENTION SISTERS OF SIGMA THETA CHI! WE
HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!
This spring, we welcomed 6 perfect baby lambs into our group! We
could not be more proud of these ladies for making it through pledge
and joining the best sisterhood. We are so excited to see the impact
they will have on this sorority and how they will continue showing
God’s light in everything they do. Some of the activities the new
members are involved in are Touring Choir, varsity athletics,
Orchesis, and the STEM department. We couldn't be more blessed
by the relationships we have developed with these ladies and the
love we share for one another.

To our two favorite seniors, Alliefair Scalise (left)
and Alia Sparks (right), thank you for all the memo-
ries we have made these past few years. Your pres-
ence in our group will be greatly missed. Alliefair
Scalise will be graduating in the Spring of 2021 with
a Bachelor of Science in Biology Health with a con-
centration in Heath Sciences. Alia Sparks will be
graduating in December 2021 with a Bachelor of
Science in Marketing. We know they are going to
KILL IT after college in everything they do. You both
have excellent work ethic and perseverance. It is
clear that God has HUGE plans for you! We love you
and can’t wait for you to visit!
The spring semester is always a very busy and exciting time for Sigma Theta Chi! Unfortu-
nately Covid-19 precautions forced our sorority to postpone Relay for Life to next fall se-
mester. Because we were unable to host our biggest fundraising events this year (Big Man
& Relay for Life), the current members are excited to donate approximately $200+ to the
American Cancer Society. We understand the importance of this charity, and want to do
everything we can to continuously support it no matter what.
Aside from fundraising, there is another major change that will take place in the sorority. It
is with a heavy heart that we announce our change of halls from second floor Harker to the
ground floor of Mary Ethel Pew dormitory. In future years, Grove City plans on transform-
ing the Mary Ethel Pew dormitory to a “Sorority only” building. The school offered many
benefits to the groups who were willing to do this transformation early on, so as a group we
decided it would in our best interest to move first. We are so excited for you all to still
come and visit the hall, especially during Homecoming!
Carla Ligo has been an excellent advisor to Sigma Theta Chi. She has sup-
ported and been over-the-top generous to our sorority for over 10 years.
Whether donating items for Greek Fest or letting us use her house to deco-
rate the Homecoming Float, Sra. Ligo has done more for our group than we
ever could have imagined. We are blessed to have had her as a mom and
will definitely keep in touch with her always. Unfortunately Sra. Ligo will
not be our advisor this upcoming fall (2021). We are all saddened by the
news, but we know that God has great things in store for her. The members
that have been lucky enough to have her as a mom will always cherish the
memories that have been made with her. She will always be our mother,
and we will always be her “children.” As far as the future is concerned, we
will continue looking for a new advisor, and already have some names in
mind!
