OUR MISSION As members of Saint Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, we are committed by our Baptism to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ by living our faith in loving service to all people. Inspired by the Holy Spirit and through worship and prayer, we use our time, talent and treasure, to nourish the soul, care for the needy, minister to the alienated, nurture the children and WELCOME all people into our community of faith. And with the Saint Vincent de Paul Faith
Community united as one parish, we are committed to assisting our members in both the spiritual and temporal needs of life. We are a community with heart committed to “Let all things be done with Charity” and show we are disciples of Christ by our love for one another.

Living Stewardship ~ Pillar of Formation
In 2019, a survey was conducted that found that only 26% of Catholics under the age of 40 believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. This week, teach your children, spouse, friend or relative about the Real Presence.

The Weekly Offertory Collection ideally is enough income to meet all parish needs. Today it offsets less than 44% of the necessary income to meet parish needs; thus the necessity to garner more funds which includes our main effort of annual giving (CMA), parish program fees, bequests, special fund raising events/activities and other miscellaneous donations to be able to continue to do the good work of our Catholic Church.

Spiritual Reflection for the Week “Taking the book of the Covenant, [Moses] read it aloud to the people, who answered, ‘All that the Lord has said, we will heed and do.’” (see Exodus 24: 3-8). What a striking and quick response the Israelite people shouted as the goodness of the Lord was proclaimed to them by Moses. From the Hebrew Scriptures, the Old Testament, we received God’s Word, His Law, His call and path to our fulfillment and holiness. In the New Testament we know of the Word made Flesh who gives His Flesh and Blood for the life of the world. That is why when we come forward to receive Holy Communion and the Minister of the Sacrament says “The Body of Christ” we say “AMEN”, meaning, “Yes, I believe”. To believe — this is the most important and appropriate response when receiving the Host. It implies the response of the Israelites to the words of the Covenant — “all that the Lord has said, we will heed and do”. To receive Holy Communion is the gift that should keep us giving as Christ gave His life for us. Sienna Center Sanctuary Memorials You will soon be able to designate a Memorial for a loved one or a special intention. The project to enhance our Sienna Center Sanctuary will be completed by the end of June. At that time, a list of about 30 items will be available for individuals or families to memorialize. Please check future bulletins for more information. Father’s Day Novena of Masses Faither’s Day is June 20th. You may place your intentions with those you wish remembered on the envelope included with your packet. Please place it in the collection basket or Offering Boxes in the lobby of Sienna Center or Church. One Final Thought “It is a wonderful thing that God himself loves us tenderly. Knowing this should give us courage and joy for living.”

Mercy & Morals Always — (Mixed Martial Arts) On Thursday evening, May 27, our Parish Youth Ministry gathered in the Gymnasium of our Parish Activity Complex (PAC) to participate in a unique evening of mixed martial arts. Youth watched live demonstrations of various martial arts techniques by not only key volunteers but also our very own Pastor, Msgr. Rick. The youth were invited to join Fr. Rick & Friends on this special night and participated in learning a few techniques. Msgr. Rick opened the evening with a welcome and prayerful message about not only defending themselves against people here on earth who try to harm them; but also how they can defend themselves from our spiritual enemy as well. Below highlights the activities and fun experienced by many!
