C. Tujuan PembelajaranSetelah melaksanakan serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran, siswadapat:
1. Mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial dan struktur bahasa yangterdapat pada recount text.
2. Membandingkan antara recount textberbahasa Indonesia danberbahasa Inggris.
3. Menunjukkan bukti dari fungsi sosial dan struktur bahasa yag di temukan dari teks recount tersebut.
4. Menceritakan kembali teks recount yang telah mereka baca.5. Membuat teks recount berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi.
D. Materi Pembelajaran
1. Fungsi sosial
Menguraikan langkah-langkah tindakan dan kejadian dalam bentuk laporan kerja dan tentang peristiwa bersejarah, untuk mempertanggung-jawabkan, meneladani, dan mendapatkan pelajaran berharga.
2. Struktur teks
Vacation to London
Mr. Richard’s family was on vacation. They are Mr. and Mrs. Richard with two sons. They went to London. They saw their travel agent and booked their tickets. They went to the British Embassy to get visas to enter Britain. They had booked fourteen days tour. This includes travel and accommodation. They also included tours around London. They boarded a large Boeing flight. The flight was nearly fourteen hours.
On the plane the cabin crews were very friendly. They gave them news paper and magazine to read. They gave them food and drink. There was a film for their entertainment. They had a very pleasant flight.
On arrival at Heathrow Airport, they had to go to Customs and Immigration. The officers were pleasant. They checked the document carefully but their manners were very polite. Mr. Richard and his family collected their bags and went to London Welcome Desk. They arranged the transfer to a hotel.
The hotel was a well-known four-star hotel. The room had perfect view of the park. The room had its own bathroom and toilet. Instead of keys for the room, they inserted a key-card to open the door. On the third floor, there was a restaurant serving Asian and European food. They had variety of food.
The two weeks in London went by fast. At the end of the 14th day, they were quite tired but they felt very happy.

Reorientation consists of optional-closure of events/ending.
3. Unsur kebahasaan
- Kata-kata terkait dengan kegiatan siswa dan kejadian bersejarah yang banyak dibicarakan.
- Past: Simple, Continuous, Perfect tense- Adverbial dan frasa presposisional yang menyatakan waktu,
cara, dsb.- Ucapan, rujukan kata tekanan kata, intonasi, ketika
mempresentasikan secara lisan.

Wonderful Adventures in My Life
I remembered the time when I was in Elementary School.That time was a happy time for me, because in Elementaryschool I had many amazing activities. At that time, I was onthe fifth grade of Elementary school. I thought that it wasthe difficult time in my life because the lessons that I
learnt were difficult. I needed time to refresh my mind. Theonly time that I liked is when holiday came. I waited forholiday all the time. I was very excited when holiday came.
In the holiday of first semester, my family and I wentto Yogyakarta. There, I could meet my families likegrandmothers, grand fathers, cousins, and many others. Icould not wait. We prepared all the needs and we did notforget to bring some foods. Finally, on Sunday morning wewent to Yogyakarta by car. My father drove the car. I reallyenjoyed the journey because I missed my families so much. Iimagined that I got wonderful experience in my holiday.
Besides I could meet my other families, I also couldvisit traditional house there, for the example I visitedKeraton Yogyakarta. My parents, my cousins, and I went therein the morning so we could spend a lot of time there. In thatKeraton, I saw many music instruments from Central Java likeflute, tambourine, drum, gung, and others. I also saw manypictures of the leader from the first until the new one. Fromthose pictures I got a lot of new knowledge. I knew theleaders or usually called Sultan that ever led KeratonYogyakarta.
When I visited keraton Yogyakarta, I also saw sometourists from both many countries in Indonesia and overseas.One of the tourists was from England. She introduced herselfto me. Her name was Angela. She was very beautiful. She hadblond hair and blue eyes. We went around the Keraton togetherand we shared our experience. She asked me some questionsabout the Keraton and I gave her the information. She couldnot speak Bahasa, so I used English during our communication.She also asked me about Indonesia. She was interested inIndonesian culture. She even wanted to learn about Samandance, one of the Indonesian traditional dance that comesfrom Aceh located in North Sumatera. In the end of ourmeeting, we gave our phone number each other so we couldstill communicate each other.
That wonderful experience in my holiday was a greatholiday I ever got. I was really happy also because I got anew friend from England.
Jigsaw Technique
1. Divide students into group of five
2. Teacher gives each group a paragraph.
3. Each person in each group have to master the content of the paragraph
4. All of group have to exchange the information till they got the whole of the story completely
5. After they got the complete story they should go back totheir main group
6. Then, they asked to present the full story in front of the class, while the others give responses to their story.

2. Who are the characters involved in the story? Mention it!
3. Where did the writer do their experience?
4. Why did the writer feel happy?
5. What are the experiences the writer got? Explain it briefly!

yang pernah dialami oleh siswa dan guru memberikan feedback (memberi contoh dan menjelaskan recount text) atasjawaban yang diberikan siswa.
- Guru memberikan bacaan teks recount per paragraf pada setiap kelompok
- Siswa diminta untuk memahami secara detail isi dari paragraf tersebut.
- Siswa kembali ke kelompok awal dan berbagi informasi kepada anggota kelompok.
- Siswa diberikan comprehension questions berdasarkan teks recount yang diberikan oleh guru.
- Siswa dan guru berdiskusi tentang jawaban comprehension questions.
- Siswa menceritakan kembali isi ceritasecara lengkap di depan kelas.
- Siswa lain memberikan tanggapan.- Guru memberikan feedback pada
presentasi tersebut.- Siswa diminta untuk menulis teks
recount berdasarkan foto yang telah mereka bawa masing-masing.
