Leadership comes fromall levels

Kathleen Cooks FundThe Kathleen Cooks Fund can award money for proposals which meet at least one of the following criteria:

•Result in a new or improved service to users of library and information services in Wales. •Add to knowledge in Welsh libraries and information services. •Improve professional knowledge among members of CILIP Wales. •Assist in the production or purchase of specific items or collections of permanent value to Wales.

The fund is administered by a management committee consisting of the Officers of CILIP Cymru Wales together with two elected members who represent public and academic/special libraries in Wales. Awards are made at the discretion of the management committee and will reflect the quality of the proposal and the money available in the fund. Awards are typically in the region of £500 - £1000, but may on occasion be greater.

Engaging with people –broadening the vision

CILIP supporting you, wherever you are located. For every stage of your career.

• Use these experiences as evidence, become a reflective practitioner

• Use professional registration to example your skill sets. Re-validating shows exemplifies the relevance of your transferable skills in today's working environment.

• For your workforce it is a ready made tool to prepare for appraisals

• If something doesn’t work, failure should be celebrated as exploration; supportive reflection will encourage others to put forward their own ideas.
