PROJECT RATIONALE

The present climate changes has been largely attributed to thepollution of the environment that results to the depletion of theozone layer, increase in earth temperature and the occurrence ofstrong typhoons. The adverse environmental maladies resulted tobreaking up of ice in the ocean in the north and South Poles, therising of water in the sea, and the terrible impurities of air, land, and water. One of the main causes of these environmentalmaladies is the proliferation of chemicals and obnoxious gases inthe environment such as the carbons, methane gas andfluorocarbon.

Good marketing Statements for Go green

Up to the present, the major distributor of environmentalpollution is the pervasive use of chemical pesticides in treatingpest and disease on different kinds of buildings, boats, transport system, airports and sea ports and application ofchemical pesticides and insecticides to plants. The hazardsafflicted concern not only the material properties but alsobeings and even animals .There are cases of human poisoning andphysical harms a number of which result to death and

disabilities.Up to the present, the major contributor of environmental

pollution is the pervasive use of chemical pesticides in treatingpest and diseases on different kinds of buildings, boats, transport system, airports, Aware and alarmed by the harmfuleffects of chemical pesticides, our company has formed the GOGREEN GENERAL PEST CONTROL SERVICES, which will primarily wean outfrom the application of the chemical pesticides in its pestcontrol services. In the past, there was no alternative to thechemical pest control but now there is the formulated naturalpesticides which the environmental friendly and protective ofhuman and animal life. These natural pesticides are deemed morepotent and effective in eradicating household and environmental

pests.

OBJECTIVES

Major Objective- To propagate in the Philippines the usefulnessof green or organic pesticides application in commercial scale in order to provide an environmental friendly, non-hazardous to human beings and animals more potent or effective means in controlling pest among household buildings, hospitals, seaports, airports and various commercials establishments.

Specific Objectives

To spearhead nationwide commercial scale dissemination on the knowledge, use and application of modern organic, botanical and biological pesticides;To propel a vast improved long term natural pesticides commercialservices among households, commercial establishments, seaport, airport, resort hotels, vessels and other establishments.To run an effective natural pest control services that promote long-term service contracts among customers and clients;

To set long-term program of research and laboratories in theformulation of organic pesticides using indigenous plants found to contain potent natural pesticides; and

To maximize the income of the company way above the income derive from the use of chemical pesticides.

I. THE NATURAL PESTICIDE PROJECT

Description of the organic Pesticide Product

Organic or natural or botanical pesticides are biologicalextracts from herbal or medicinal plants usually with varying degrees of natural substances which are potent for the formulation of commercial pesticides. Compared tosynthetic or chemical pesticides the organic pesticides appear to be more potent than the chemical pesticides, environmental friendly and not harmful to human beings and animals. They are low cost and convenient to use at commercial level, Based on Yang and Tang [ 1988] review, the deleterious effect of plant extracts or pure compounds on insects can be manifested in several mannersincluding toxicity, mortality, antifeedant growth inhibitor, suppression of reproductive behaviour and reduction of fecundity and fertility. The use of organic pesticides is systematic mixed with pest diets, dug ground concentrate or sprayed i.e . for specific applications LRT , Airports Seaports vessels

It is considered more effective that synthetic pesticides that it does not produce resistant strain ad accumulate harmful resedues on food. Advance countries are now shifting to organic pesticides for safety, economy and potency.

COMPREHENSIVE MONTHLY GENERAL PEST CONTROL

SSICAI shall conduct a monthly general pest control service whichinvolves the control of cockroaches, ants , flies , mosquitoes, houseflies and other crawling and flying insects including rodentsin order to maintain a clean and healthy environment free fromcontamination. Frequency of treatments depends on the level ofinfestation based on the actual pest threat inspection analysiswhich will be conducted by our Field Entomologist prior to initialtreatment.

This includes the use of Herbazyme formulations for the disinfectionof waste products within the premises. This product may also act asa deodorizer by getting rid of foul odor from its source in just afew minutes upon application. It is purely organic and compatible tosynthetic pyrethroids insecticides which are simply mimic ofbotanical “plant “ insecticides.

a. CONTROL OF COCKROACHES,ANTS AND OTHER CRAWLINGINSECTSGlobal presences and the increased number of population greatly increased of encountering pest that transmit pathogens. Infect food supplies or simply nuisance to human. This program concentrate on the biology and control stratigies of pest pest that are commonly found these pest are prone to inhibit certain areas making continualmonitoring import for the following areas.Crawling and flying insect such as cochrooch and mosquito are the most encountered food and food preparation areas abandant standing water, food , wormth and numerous potential harborages provide the coockrooch with an ideal habitat for growth and survival. Ther habits and body stracture anable them to potentially transmit pathogens that cause desentary and diarrea. Coockrooches also importa food odor were in festations are well wstablish there presence

indecates inadequate sanitary proctices or in effective coockroch control measures. SSI control asim understand the biological characteritics of coockroches to provide an effective control system program. SCOPE OF WORKSSI Chemical Applications, Inc., shall carry out a monthly residualspraying treatment of areas against cockroaches and other crawlinginsects particularly those areas where insects congregate, crawl andhide and through which they may enter. All cracks and crevices whichare the usual hidingplace of cockroaches especially shall bethoroughly treated. Baiting using gel baits shall be used if thesituation warrants.

b. CONTROL OF HOUSEFLIES , MOSQUITOES AND OTHER FLYING INSECTSDENGUE CONTROL THRU INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENTAmong the blood sucking insects among the blood sucking insect that annoy man and other animals the mosquitos are probably the group that have gaind international prominence the mosquitoes do not only transmit various kinds of deseases but they also retard the progressof agriculture and industry and make potential areas unsuitable there are more than 200 different kinds of mosquitoes in the philippines many of these are frequent visitors of our home maybe one of these visitors cause dengue or malaria.

THERMAL FOGGING activities is still the best method to completelyeradicate adult mosquitoes, thus, prevents dengue outbreak incommunities.

The reason why thermal fogging is not effective as DOH claims it to beis because of the following:

1. A lot of barangays that are implementing fogging, unfortunately,do not have the proper knowledge in using and mixing the rightamount or correct kind of chemicals. Worst, the reason why a lotsaid that fogging only disperse mosquitoes away (binubugaw langdaw ang lamok) is, due to corrupt practices, they only put dieseland less of chemicals in the fogging machine. It is better thatthis kind of activity be left behind to Pest Managementprofessionals.

2. Fogging should cover a wide area of at least 15-30 metersradius/diameter from where there is dengue case/outbreak.

But more than that, let me point out how you can really combat denguein your neighborhood. Prior to the onset of dengue during the rainymonths or even during times that dengue cases are its lowest, you haveto implement what we call Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approachalong with some practical guidelines, as follows:

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Conduct regular thermal fogging and/or mist blowing activities. It is not true that thermal fogging is ineffective provided you are using the right amount/dilution and correct chemicals and the

right approach. Please take note that you are combating two stages of mosquitoes here: the adult and larvae. Adults are eradicated thru fogging.

2. Conduct regular larvae eradication/larvicidal activities. Larvicide chemicals (either liquid or granules) are different from chemicals used in fogging/misting since these chemicals, even if diluted in water, can eradicate larvae/kiti kiti. Foggingchemicals can't do that.

Treatment involves the larvicidal spraying of breeding places inorder to get rid of insect larvae; misting and/or fogging againstadult stage of houseflies, mosquitoes and other flying insects.Granular baits shall be applied on areas most frequented byhouseflies while liquid sprays for larvicidal treatment of mosquitowrigglers and fly larvae as supplementary control measures. ThermalFogging application shall be rendered outside the premises such asparking areas, canals and similar areas to get rid of mosquitoes, flies and other flying insects.SERVICE WARRANTYOur product and workmanship guarranteed for the period of 1 month.

In cases, wherein damages due todrilling of tiles/ marbles flooring which is incidental to thecontrol of termites, the same shall be for the account of the Clientotherwise agreed

EXTERRA BAITING TECHNOLOGY

Subterranean Termites must be eliminated at the main source;otherwise control of termite infestation in the areas for treatmentwill surely fail. Temporary control can only be achieved if onlyone method will be employed given the structural design andconsiderably huge area of each house/building.

1. Termite Baiting System – In Ground and Above Ground Stations

Purpose: To eliminate the existing termite population presentinside and outside the building premises and /or thecoverage area. Basically, termites originate from the soil because ofmoisture and they just extend their attack to woodencomponents of structures to forage food for the colony.Because of the difficulty of finding the main source oftermites (termite nests) particularly in the urban area, baiting is the best approach to eliminate termitecolonies in the coverage area. In Ground and Aboveground stations will be installed on infested areacontaining active termite population or where applicable.Termite workers will feed on the bait and bring ortransfer the toxicant back to the nest to feed non-feeding members (king, queen and soldiers). Transfer oftoxicant is by mouth to mouth feeding and by groomingbehavior. With this system, there is an assurance ofdirect transfer of toxicant resulting in the 100%elimination of the colony wherever their nests arelocated. The toxicant is an insect growth regulator (IGR) andaffects the molting process of insects (changing ofskin). There are thousands to million members of atermite colony and they do not molt at the same time. Forthis reason, the mode of action is not immediate it takesfew weeks to months depending on the species, number ofcolonies and other factors to eliminate them.

The active ingredient of our bait is chlorfluazuron, anIGR effective against major species of subterraneantermites including M. losbañosensisand C. vastator.

Scope of Work and Methodology (Baiting System)1. Thorough inspection of the exterior and inside houses and or the

coverage areas requested for treatment to determine areas withcurrent termite activity and locations of known or suspected termiteforaging activity.

1. Preparation of a pre-drawn site plan prior to the installationof above-ground stations (AGS) for termites.

2. Installation of termite baiting stationsa. Installation of AGS – place directly on areas where live

termites are located and actively feeding in wood components. Aminimum of 3 -4 AGS per unit shall be installed where applicable.

2. Station Inspection and Baitinga. Conduct the 1st inspection after 2 weeks of installation.b. Replenish termite bait when necessary. Make sure that

bait is always present in the Station. Re-bait Stations whensufficient consumption of bait has occurred.

c. Re-inspect all Stations (AGS) every 2 to 3 weeks for 3months until the colonies are eliminated.

3. The installer will inform the client in case drilling or anyrelated activities like alteration of wood components or relocationof things is necessary during the installation of stations.

4. Avoid disturbances of all installed Stations for the reasonthat termites do not like disturbance. Otherwise, termites feedingin the Station will cease to feed, abandon the area and will notcomplete the elimination of the termite colony.

5. To insure the effectivity of the baiting system, allactivities in the termite interception and baiting system(inspection, installation, preparation of termite bait, baiting andreplenishment of bait ) will be exclusively performed by the PestControl Applicator, an authorized installer of exterra baitingsystem.

TERMITE RETICULATION SYSTEM

Purpose:Termite preventive measures. The system was purposelydesigned for the initial treatment and re-application ofenvironmentally compatible termite control agents to thecritical areas of the concrete perimeter, the areas termites

are most likely to breach, when the effectiveness of theinitial termite treatment has broken down.

The Perimeter Re- treatment System enables the replenishment ofapproved termite control agents to all service penetrations andexternal perimeters of slab-on-ground construction.
