Dear Customer, Dear BühnenSpiegel reader,

The subsiding course of the pandemic allows us to take a careful glance back over this extraordinary time of the corona pandemic. In the companies of the Rothlehner Group, the effects of corona have been extremely different from country to country: From the volatile incidence figures with many employees affected by infection and quarantine, to country-specific restrictions and varying economic influences. Consequently, we are delighted about the preserved or regained health of our employees and the solid economic stability within the Group. This means that the weaknesses of heavily affected countries, such as the Czech Republic, could be compensated for through our business performance in Germany and Austria which has been above expectations. We used the time and energy capacities which arose due to corona to develop new approaches - from process optimisation and digitalisation, up to strategic corrections and new orientations. With the regard to products, this especially resulted in a successfully started cooperation with the Italian track-mounted crawler manufacturer EASYLIFT (see Page 4) and also in the creation of many helpful YouTube videos (see title page) to compensate for cancelled or postponed trade fairs.

However, the main focus has been on the analysis of our 30 years of service provision, 20 years of which have been known under the name “Lift-Manager”, and concerns our service orientation for the next decade. Under the working title “Service 4.0”, we are bringing the service wishes and requirements of our customers to a new level through the possibilities of our ambitious teams. This means: - Acting instead of reacting relieves our customers of work, e.g. customer-orientated

service contracts - Service provision as a defined product for selection (e. g. repairs or annual safety

inspections - see the supplement). Based on over 30 years of experience in the field of service, we have initiated measures in order to further develop our spectrum of service provision; to make it more attractive and adapt to the future service requirements of existing and prospective customers.

In this process, one central topic accompanies us in both technical service and machine sales: Sustainability and long-term thinking. We also view the business field of used machine refurbishment and marketing as sustainability in terms of careful use of resources. On a long-term average, the quota of used machines accounts for more than 30% of the total sales of machines. Different categories of restoration are available. Our paint shop facilities in Massing and Jänkendorf enable complete painting - also for large-scale machines. Our many longstanding customers relationship is something which we are extremely proud of. Again and again, this reinforces and confirms our business approach. We hope to strengthen existing customers relationships and continue to gain new customers through the future-orientated service packages. We are here for you around the topic of work platforms - with many thanks and great appreciation! Massing and Jänkendorf

GSR B240PX - The most successful of our best-seller articulated telescopic machines

The GSR B240PX is our best-selling 3.5 tonne lift of the past years. Two years ago, the B220PXE was derived from this and its unique flat basket linkage is of immense benefit in particular for work on roof areas.

GSR E140TJV Basic on Ford Transit The GSR TJV series is mountable on a whole range of various carrier vehicles. On chassis and vans from 3.5 t - 5.5 t, these simple, robust work platforms with a working height of 14 or 17 m are suitable for diverse applications. Most commonly, they are used by electrical and utility companies for operations to maintain valuable infrastructure. Recently delivered: A E140TJV Basic on Ford Transit was recently delivered to the hire company Meyer Lift GmbH in Hohenwestedt. The 3.5-tonne lift provides insulation protection up to 1000 V, a lifting function without outriggers, a walk-in basket with access door and many other optional extra features. The E140TJV is ideally positioned for the daily maintenance of lamps thanks to a working height of 13.80 m. New all-wheel drive variants GSR is also continually expanding their off-road, all-wheel drive segment.

Recently delivered and already in operation:

A B220PXE from Malerbetrieb Härter.

New on offer: the B220TJ Compact on Atego 823 4x4.

This 7.5-tonne machine is extremely capable off-road with single off-road tyres and a working height of 22 m.

A series of new superstructures on the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter Allrad

which are even more compact.

With working heights from

14 to 24 m and vehicle-wide vertical outriggers,

this concept fills the gap between the classic 3.5 t road vehicle and

the larger and heavier off-road vehicles.

EasyLift presents the new RA24

The RA24track-mounted crawler lift has been completely re-developed.

At less than a metre wide, approx. 5.20 m long and 3 t in weight, this new model counts as a compact track-mounted crawler lift, however, it comes with the performance of the next bigger category.

The new RA24 will be available for demonstrations by the end of the year.

The EASYLIFT product range includes track-mounted crawler lifts from 13 m to 42m.

Recently delivered - extremely popular with painting companies: EASYLIFT R130 track-mounted crawler lift for painter Markus Enzi / Styria, Austria

The R130 is the smallest model in the EASYLIFT product range with a working height of 12.20 m.

This agile track-mounted crawler lift covers a range of applications with a working height of 12.20 m and a horizontal outreach of 6.5m with a 200 kg basket load. The machine is suitable for nar-row access routes, off-road and for areas with a low ground loa-ding thanks to its total weight of only 1,700 kg, a width of 0.89 m and a height of less than 2 m.

The machine has width-adjustable crawler tracks and is extremely manoeuvrable with a length of 4.25 m. A hybrid drive comprising of a 230 V mains electric drive & Honda GX390 petrol engine come as standard.

The Styrian company has decided on a cable remote control and automatic outriggers as optional extra equipment.

There are many excellent reasons why not only the painting company Markus Enzi should invest in their own EASYLIFT 13 m track-mounted crawler lift.

New DENKA•LIFT for Die Reinigungsprofis (cleaning professionals)

Nomen est Omen!

“Die Reinigungsprofis” is the name of a company from Volkenschwand near Landshut which lives up to its name as professionals for cleaning photovoltaic systems and buildings.

The DK18 DENKA•LIFT trailer platform is the perfect assistance for company owner Balasz Lehoczki and his team when they are working at height.

Their aged DENKA•LIFT DK18 which had already been a loyal companion for many years has now been replaced by a new machine of the same type with a working height of 18m and high level of equipment.

Amongst other things, this includes LED tail lights, brushes on the telescopic boom and a permanently installed water connection to the basket.

EuropeLift in blue - including the 300th anniversary machine

An order for two EuropeLifts in the colour blue brought with it an anniversary machine.

After eight years of cooperation with the Hungarian manufacturer, this order included the 300th EuropeLift trailer platform sold by the Rothlehner Group.

The anniversary machine, a TM18GT, was recently handed over to a longstanding Rothlehner customer “WOCKEN Industrie-partner GmbH & Co. KG” along with a TM13G. Wocken has been working with machines from Rothlehner since the 1990s.

The articulated telescopic TM18GT provides a working height of 18 m, 10.50 m horizontal outreach and 200 kg basket load capacity with a weight of 2 tonnes.

The articulated TM13G platform provides a working height of 13.10 m, 6.2 m horizontal outreach and 220 kg in the basket with a weight of 1,450 kg.

All EuropeLifts have proportional controls and a moveable jib with a rotatable basket which includes a socket. Wocken decided on a 24V battery drive.

EuropeLift TM15GT becomes TM16GT

The tried and tested and extremely successful TM15GT articulated telescopic tailer platform has been updated.

It has received the new, off-set outriggers from the larger TM18GT for a higher ability to compensate for uneven terrain. In connection with this comes an increase of the maximum working height to approx. 15.75 m. This results in the new TM16GT.

On the other hand, the simple operation typical of EuropeLift, the robust articulated telescopic boom and exceptional value for money remain unchanged.

Finally face-to-face again …

After a long time of corona restrictions, it has become possible for the whole Austrian team to meet up in person again. At our premises in Villach, Bernhard Spörk (Manager Austria) and Service Manager Thomas Biedermann organised a meeting for their employees from Graz, Vienna Neustadt and Villach.

The crew was able to come closer together again for a mixture of training, team building and an exchange of information during a barbeque event -however, keeping to social distancing rules!

Following various online training courses, the technicians of our Austrian team are also looking forward to face-to-face practical training sessions again – the next is planned for Haulotte.

Almost half of the sales and service activities for Rothlehner Austria are Haulotte machines.

A matter of course for us that our technical competency must be at the highest level.

LIFT-MANAGER Service benefits packages

In the future, Lift-Manager will offer even more customer-specific benefits packages around the topic of work platform service through the development of conservative instruments and design of innovative new service products.

One example with a direct benefit to the customer is the annual safety inspection which is now also available as a package on request.

DGUV-BASIS for a visual and functional inspection as a minimum legal requirement, and with on-site specialist advice

DGUV-PLUS with a maintenance package for maximum safeguard against failure and optimum function

DGUV-PREMIUM, the comprehensive package as a maintenance contract with price saving etc.

Besides the revision of our service provision for customers, many internal processes are also being newly structured. In the course of this, particular focus is being placed on digitalisation and knowledge management with availability on-site. Greater standardisation should simplify both internal processing, increase the clarity of offers and cost estimates and options such as quality categories for restorations (from safety-relevant to complete re-painting work).

Insurance agent GGW:

Concepts have been put to the test

Further developments and innovations not only affect technical areas, but also the insurance market. The best example of this is cyber risk which hardly existed several years ago but today plays a major role regarding protection. A fact well-known to Danny Penno, customer advisor at the Gossler, Gobert und Wolters Group: “Not only work platforms must regularly be placed on the test bench. Insurances should also be regularly updated and adapted to new circumstances and risks.” For this reason, GGW, as a specialist agent for work platform and construction machine hire companies, has updated their concepts. Tried and tested aspects have remained, newly arisen risks have been taken into consideration. “We continuously adapt the insurance cover of our customers - uncomplicated and transparent just as you would expect from us”, says Penno. Just get in touch with us - we are ready to help!
