Dear Recruiter, Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune (IIITP), established in 2016, is one among the fastest growing IIIT in 20 newly established IIIT's by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and industry partners as Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP Institution. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PUNE (IIITP) is committed to provide the best in class technical education in the country. The institute is facilitating knowledge transfer whilst keeping up with the latest development pedagogy. IIITP is an Institute of national importance established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India and Industry partners on Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) basis. IIIT Pune is functioning from a transit campus located at Yewalewadi, Kondhwa, Pune. The permanent campus of IIIT Pune is over 100 acres at Nanoli tarf Chakan, Talegaon Dabhade, Tal. Maval, Pune. IIIT Pune offers Undergraduate programs, Postgraduate programs and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. The academic curriculum for the UG programs is designed to match international standards in engineering education with a view to produce quality engineers. The Institute is actively working on revamping it's UG curriculum to meet the future IT requirements. Apart from academics the institute provides comprehensive environment that promotes art, culture, sports, societal contributions and self governance. COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING

Computer Science Engineering (CSE) focuses on deep learning, software systems, data analysis and its management. The curriculum provides exposure to machine learning, cloud computing, data handling and intrinsic coding in various languages. It focuses on theoretical knowledge while encouraging development of necessary skills to fulfill industry needs. Experts from industries are invited for delivering talks on recent trends in the field.

ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) focuses on the design of the underlying hardware systems and its operation. The curriculum is directed to provide sound background of the electronic design and applications in major areas such as Communication, Advanced VLSI, Image Processing, Embedded Systems; while encouraging development of necessary skills for integration of hardware and software components.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune actively promotes engagement with industries through consultancy services. The research and consultancy activities are taken up by the dynamic faculty members of the institute. Institute has procured industry standard equipments for carrying out research involving young minds of graduate students to actively participate in all these activities. The consultancy department is officially bestowed certain responsibilities. Framing rules for industrial sponsored research it provides a platform for high-impact projects and startups. It plays a supporting role in promoting faculty and student research in various publications. The department works on creating awareness about Intellectual Property Rights(IPR), sponsored fellowships, providing research grants for faculties. It contributes on behalf of the institute towards major national associations such as NPTEL, DST, DRDO, BARC, etc. It is responsible for creating an awareness in the college about international conferences, seminars and workshops.

Centre for Indian languages and Computational IntelligenceThe Center for Indian Languages and Computational Intelligence (CILCI) provides ‘Annotated, quality language data (both text speech) and tools in Indian Languages to Individuals, Institutions and Industry for Research & Development - Created in house, through outsourcing and acquisition’. The Centre develops various systems using Indian languages, to develop fundamental theoretical and practical solutions to real world problems using a variety of computational intelligence paradigms. This provides theoretically sound solutions to real world, decision making and prediction problems. With an established international reputation, its work focuses on the use of fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computing, mobile robotics and biomedical informatics. CILCI offers a number of benefits to the data management, defense, health, logistics, security and video gaming sectors.

Centre of Robotics andSecurity in Internet of Things(IoT) SpaceThe vision of this center is to provide leadership in establishing a regional presence in the area of Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber security of IoT by fostering state-of-the-art research, and to provide training of manpower in order to improve

the posture assurance regionally and nationally. It fosters cutting-edge research in the area of Robotics, Internet of Things and Cyber security of IoT. The Centre forms leadership in providing strategic partnerships with external organizations including the government and private sector in a long term program of community outreach.

Centre of VLSI and NanotechnologyThe VLSI and Nanotechnology centre forms the backbone for research in the system design field in the institute. It aims at organizing research links in the academia across the globe and to train individuals in VLSI design and Nanotechnology. It creates a

back-platform for front-end and end design, verification and implementation. The centre is equipped with VLSI EDA tools such as Cadence, Vivado and hardware resources from Xilinx. The centre will be further expanded for Silicon Signoff and verification.

Centre for Biomedical Science and EngineeringBiomedical research is the broad area of science that looks for ways to prevent and treat diseases. An interdisciplinary field of research which includes elements of both the life and physical sciences and engineering. Utilizing biotechnology techniques, biomedical researchers study biological processes and diseases with the ultimate goal of developing effective treatments and diagnostic systems. This centre acts as a bridge between engineering, medicine and science. The Centre for Biomedical Science and Engineering will have several different research and practice foci that will evolve as the centre grows and formulates over the next several years.

Lecture SeriesAt IIIT, Pune we believe that a successful future cannot be built without reflecting into the past and learning from our experiences as well as those of others. As an extension to this ideology we invite scholars who can speak-up on subjects of broad interest. Around five or six such seminars are held every year. Apart from specialist researchers in their respective domains, eminent historians, policy makers, technologists, and leading thinkers have presented their ideas. Through this initiative, we want our students and faculty to develop a broader perspective of their responsibility towards the society and to give them an opportunity to listen to remarkable life stories of our esteemed panel of speakers. In this endeavor, we have hosted eminent personalities such as; Dr. Shekhar Bhansali (Prof. & Chair, ECE, Florida Inter. University), Dr. Debasish Ghosh (Prof. IISc Bangalore), Dr. B.K. Murthy ( MeitY, GOI.), Dr. K.K. Pathak (Prof. IIT BHU), Ms. Yesoda Bhargava (Samsung Research, India), Dr. A.K. Tripathi. It is our constant enterprise to ensure that we invite dignitaries from a wider array of professions so as to develop a holistic and broad view of life and society. IIIT Pune hosted this year’s International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in December 2018,19. Best programmers in the world battled for the ICPC championship at IIIT Pune. The International Collegiate Programming Contest, known as the ICPC, is an annual multi-tiered competitive programming competition among the universities of the world. It operates autonomous regional contests covering six continents culminating in a global World Finals every year. In 2017, 49,935 students from 3,098 universities in 111 countries participated. ICPC is often dubbed as the ‘Olympics of Computer Programming’. A total of 25 host sites were selected for the Asia region. In the Pune-Gwalior region, IIIT Pune hosted the contest in Pune whereas ABV, IIITM Gwalior hosted the contest in Gwalior. More than 700 teams from premier institutes of the country participated in the Pune-Gwalior leg of the competition.

Innovation Cell

Ministry of HRD has established ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell’ with the mandate to work closely with the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the creative energy of our student population to work on new ideas and innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.MIC will focus on creating complete ecosystem which will foster the culture of Innovation across all educational institutions from ideas generation to pre-incubation, incubation and graduating from the incubator as successful start-ups. MIC will also work on designing ranking system to identify institutions in the forefront of innovation.MIC will actively engage various central and state agencies to ensure that dedicated budget is allocated for innovation related activities.Under MHRD’s innovation cell (MIC), Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs) are constituted in more than 1000 higher educational institutions to promote innovation. The ministry specifies a schedule to all the IICs. The innovation council organizes workshops and expert talks from various resource persons coming from esteemed institutions PAN India.

FDPThe faculty development programme was aimed at empowering the faculty members, enthusiasts and professionals in the area of Data Science and Machine Learning using state-of-the-art methods. There were 18 sessions in the whole programme with each session being of 90 minutes. Every session followed an organized flow starting from background information and then progressing towards brainstorming and information exchange. It served as a great platform for our immensely talented peer group of faculty members to get acquainted to efficient ways of management in these fields.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat:

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a Gov. of India initiative which aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. Under EBSB IIIT Pune participates in student exchange programme with other national institutes.

Start-Up Summit:Start-Up Summit 2020 was one of its kind event organized by the CDCRC IIIT Pune . The summit focused on start-ups and the recent boom of start-up culture in India. Many eminent speakers, mentors, CEOs and Co-Founders were invited to give a talk regarding the same. Mr Parveen Singhal, Co-Founder and CCO Nukkad by Stage; Ms. Rashmi Deshpande, Senior Talent Professional Mentor, Coach and Founder - Crafting Capability; and Mr. Sam Baisla, Founder and CEO of Brand Samosa, DECODR and NEXEL, were some of the speakers of the summit.

E-Cell:Entrepreneurship Cell IIIT Pune is a community of aspiring entrepreneurs committed towards making India the strongest economy in the world. We aim to help the budding entrepreneurs to become the industry leaders of tomorrow. We provide a platform for innovations which are technically advanced and economically viable. We believe that THINK, INNOVATE, SELL and PROSPER are the four pillars of entrepreneurship and our mission is to strengthen these pillars so that we not only work in big companies but also own them.

Life on CampusAdmission to this centrally affiliated institute leads to a rendezvous of various cultures and people from different walks of life . From Kerala to Jammu and Kashmir, Students arrive to this campus from every nook and corner of the country. This is indeed a perfect exemplification of the pan-India outreach of the institute. In such diversity, we here at IIITP promote unity.

MusicSAAZ, the Musical Society of IIIT Pune is a unique amalgamation of modern and authentic classical music art forms. Saaz performs with various instruments and practices a big spectrum of genres from pop, hip-hop, classical to jazz. Collaborating from song writing, Singing, mash-ups to raps and all forms of music production, Saaz is a perfect gateway for music lovers.

Literature

ECLECTIC, the literary club of IIIT Pune is the most dynamic clubs of the institute. Eclectic creates intellectual and communicative engineers having ability to present a cause. If growing as an individual is the drama then Eclectic is the stage. Eclectic focuses on developing analytical and critical thinking skills with the literary touch.

DramaticsABHINAY, the Dramatics Society of IIIT Pune is an authentic mixture of genius, determination plus a tad bit of eccentricity and a journey of presenting, experiencing , exploring new genres and portraying these heartfelt emotions to the audience. The budding technocrats here participate to grow and convey a message for the crowd to embrace. Abhinay is the platform where the souls of actors, directors, writers find the voice and energy. No form of Impression is more powerful than Drama.

CodingBiT-Legion is the official coding club of IIIT Pune. The club creates a platform which allows students to gain assistance and mentor-ship to enhance their coding ability. Through the club, multiple events are conducted regarding competitive coding, placement preparation and interview preparation. The club also guides and encourages to participate in prestigious global coding events like ACM ICPC, Google CodeJam, GSoC, etc. Weekly lectures are conducted by senior members of the club to strengthen the algorithmic concepts and math basics of students. In addition, the club has

leading collaborations with companies like Unacademy, Codechef, Microsoft, Scaler etc.

DanceVanity Crew, the dance club of IIIT Pune is a community of fun-loving, interactive students who aim to provide an opportunity to the future engineers for artistic exploration in the field of dance. The club is not limited to dancing but training ourselves to perfection and team work. With dance forms ranging from Bollywood to Hip Hop to Classical, we help everyone climb up the ladder.

SportsSports play an integral role in the overall development of an individual. The institute has developed excellent atmosphere for competitive ports such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Kabaddi, etc. Sports teams from our college have represented the institute in various reputed colleges including IIT-BHU, CoEP Pune, IIIT Kancheepuram, etc.

QuizQ-Riocity, the quizzing society ofIIIT Pune appeals to theintellectual thirst that generally goesunquenched through college.With a plethora of exciting

helpsquizzes, the club to channelize the competitive quotient of the youth with amazing brain-scratchers. Theorists may say otherwise, but Q-Riocity believes there's no end to what the brain can hold.
