Why should students of A&F care about business law?
“It was decided that the main objective of business legal education is to prepare students for the business world. Graduates should be able to operate a business within the parameters of the law, consider the legal implications and risks inherent in business decisions, and identify legal issues at a preliminary stage. A person involved in business should not only be able to suggest possible solutions to disputes but also to distinguish circumstances in which it would be appropriate to seek professional legal advice.”
Skwarok, “Business Law for Non Lawyers: Setting the stage for teaching, learning and assessment at Hong Kong Polytechnic University” The Law Teacher, 1995 29(2) pp189-212, 190 [colours added].
