At this juncture,CAAS has come up with COGNITIVE practice MODULE in GAMIFICATIONMODEL in Myperfectice Platform.

Participation in this module is Compulsory for all students.

Some features of the Gamification model:Tests will be divided into "Elementary (Level 1) to Advanced (Level 4).Starting from Level-1, every student needs to meet the desired volume and accuracy to cross acertain level.

(Ex-You have to attempt minimum 3 mock tests i.e. 45 questions and score at least 75% in Quant, verbal& Reasoning each in Level-1 to unlock Level 2. Higher level you reach, less accuracy will be requiredto unlock the next level.)Day-wise learning plan for all to maintain the pace.

The aspiring students for campus selection were notified to attend the CODING CLINIC as per

Summary:

The inaugural speech for this program was delivered by Prof. S. Moulick, Dean School of Civil

Engineering. In his speech he explained the need of Finite element based software for structural

engineering problem where conventional design method failed to capture the minute detail of

stress and strain field. After his inaugural speech he handed over the session to Prof. Sunny

Jaiswal. Prof. Sunny Jaiswal introduced the technical team of VSSC/ISRO and SVT InfoTech.

The technical team took over the session and explained the development history of the FEAST

and its importance in Indian scenario. They have introduced the FEAST SMT and GUI

representation to the student and informed about the general hardware requirement for running

this software. They have taken a simple cantilever beam for stress and deflection analysis for the

demonstration of the software. After completion of the cantilever beam analysis they have move

to analysis of a fixed beam in static load. They have also demonstrated the step by step procedure

for analysis of simply supported beam and continuous beam subjected to static load.

Next day (24/01/2021) the session started with the static analysis of long and short column and

the associated boundary condition. They have also demonstrated the analysis of roof truss

member for different loading conditions. The demonstration was ended with the analysis of G+ 5

storied RC framed structures. There was a doubt clearing and question answer session after the

end of the demonstration.

The welcome address of “Industry Specific Preparedness Classes” was delivered by Prof. Sanjib

Moulick, Dean School of Civil Engineering KIIT Deemed to be University. Prof. Moulick

explained the importance of industry specific preparedness Classes to the students. After his

speech Prof. P.K. Acharya took over the session and started his class entitled “Bar Bending

Schedule”. He explained the topic with the with actual field data and inform the student about

the relevant IS-code. Next day Prof. D.R Biswal explained the step by step procedure for RCC

design with design aid. Prof. Mohibulla on 10/02/2021took the class on construction practices

and inform the students about the recent trends in construction field. On the very next day Prof.

P.K Acharya took the second class on Bar bending schedule for deeper understanding of the

subject. Prof. D. K. Bera explained the different types of contract in construction industry and

discuss about the relevant problems which may occur during construction process. Prof. P.K.

Acharya took a class on construction material and the laboratory tests related to the material on

15/02/2021. On 16/02/2021 Prof. D.R. Biswal discussed about the road transport and current

state of the art practice in that field. Prof. S. Moulick discussed about the environmental aspect in

construction industries on 17/02/2021. Prof. Mohibulla took a introductory class on estimation

and costing for RCC structure on 18/02/2021. Prof. D.K. Bera on the next day talked about the

construction resource management and its importance in reducing project cost. Prof. R. Chattaraj

explained the student about the geotechnical characterization of soil and related laboratory tests

on 22/02/2021. Prof. B.G. Mahapatra explained the students about the working principle of the

shallow and deep foundation and construction practices. On 24/02/2021 Prof. D. R. Biswal again

took a class on Road transport and discuss about the current challenges in road industry. Prof.

D.K. Bera took a detail class on analysis of RCC frame with simple example on 26/02/2021.

Prof. J. Padhi took a class on Hydrology and water resources on 02/03/2021, After completion of

the class Prof. Padhi handed over the session to Prof. S. Moulick, Dean, School of civil

engineering. Prof. Moulick wished the students good luck for their upcoming placement
