Students Association of Computer Science (StACS) of Nagpur Institute of Technology recently

organized National Level Intercollegiate Online competition “TechNova 2k21”. It was

inaugurated at the hands of chief guest Dr. Raju Sonavane, Ceo, Shiv India Institute of

Management and Technology Ghana, West, Africa. He elaborated importance of good habits in

the life of students. Dr. Amol Deshmukh, Principal NIT Nagpur gave the opening remarks. Prof.

Aparitosh Gahankari Head of CSE department addressed the Participants and emphasized on the

importance of Competition in Life. StACS Incharge briefed the schedule of the Program. Total

1200 participants from different states of Country and Africa participated in the various events.

Winners of the events were felicitated with Online Internship and Practical Trainings on

computer courses. The event was sponsored by Digital Softex, KA Connect and

NRSolution4u.The chief guest of the valedictory function was Mr. Nilesh Gupta Founder &

Trainer, NRSolution4u.The Alumni Guest was Mr. Mohit Kewate, Digital Marketer &

YouTuber, he motivated students to work hard in order to achieve success. Ms.Garima Rai,

On 20th August , 2019, Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur College successfully

completed the event of Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme at college campus.

After the inspirational words of Dean Academics we all move towards the place where tree

plantation took place. Dean Academics Sir planted the very first tree in college premises and

then Dr. Jitendra Kotewar, Dean Sports, NIT, Nagpur also planted a tree. Total trees planted by

all others including teachers and volunteers were more than 15 on the day.

All were happy and experienced proud moment after the tree plantation event was finished,

because it really feels great to do positive for the nature.

One day seminar on Swachhta was organized on 1st, August 2020 by the NSS Unit in

Nagpur Institute of Technology, where Dr. Amol Deshmukh, Dean Academics, addressed the

NSS Volunteers on the various issues of Swachhta. The event ended with the Swachhta

Shapath (Oath) by all the NSS Functionaries including NSS Volunteers. All the on a mission to

A group of students of Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur on Sunday 12 January

2020 staged protest against use and Sale of nylon Manja.

Appealing citizens not to use nylon manja for kite flying the students of Nagpur Institute of

Technology, Nagpur gathered at RBI Square at 8 am on the eve of Makar Sankranti and held

Sketch, banner and tried to create awareness among people about the danger effects of nylon

manja. The main aim behind the protest is only “People should understand the bad effects of

nylon manja and sensibly desist themselves use of it during kite flying,”. Every year number of

incident happen in which people and animal hurt and more than 50 birds lives over due to nylon

Manja.

Members of an NGO ‘Speechless Animals’ also participated in the protest. Prominently present

on the occasion include college NSS Department Head Rahul Kadam.

To educate public on Plastic Ban and spread awareness about use of Helmet, an activity

organized by Team NSS and RCNIT of NIT, Nagpur college on 12 September 2019 at Old Katol

Naka. As We see tanks, roads and dustbins choked with plastic causing problems for our future

generations. If we create more awareness of the concept of source segregation and provide

alternatives to plastic bags, straws and plates (single use plastic), we can do our part in saving the

earth. The youngsters, committed the spreading the environment message, wanted to eradicate

plastic bags from the city’s shopping culture.

the core members of the group, said, "Swachh Bharat is one of the main agendas of our group

and we want to help our PM to achieve his vision of Clean India. The group is engaged in social

The guest who personally came for inauguration is Mr. Nilesh Lanjewar. He is the CEO

of HITech Computers. Dr. Amol Deshmukh, Dean Academics of NIT, greeted the guest with a

sapling. Further, HOD of CSE department Prof. Jagdish Pimple greeted Dr. Amol Deshmukh

with a flower bouquet. We had one more guest Dr. Rachna Somkuwar, associate professor in Dr.

D Y Patil College of Engineering; Pimpri, Pune was connected through the skype. Prof.

Shubhangi Chaware gave the opening remark on installation ceremony.

We also invited alumni guests to interact with students. Mr. Rohit Patle,Ex President IT

who was passed out in the year 2017, came for installation and he also interacted with students.

One more alumni Mr. Jayesh Patel interacted with students through skype.

Mr. Nilesh Lanjewar guided students about their approach towards the career, while Dr.

Rachna Somkuwar gave focus on final year students. She guided students about how to do their

project work.

Later all the selected members of forum took the oath and finally Prof. Mahvash Khan

proposed vote of thanks to every individual for their work and support to execute the ceremony.

Reporting Time 9:30 am to 4.00 pm.Global Talent Track (GTT); an education and training

venture, set up by some of the best minds from the industry, education and technology domains.

The venture aims to provide ‘quality with scale’ through programs delivered with the help of

innovative technologies and compelling content. Among others they provide training to fresher’s

hired by companies such as Cognizant, Capgemini, Genpact, Infosys, Oracle, Hexaware, etc.As

part of their CSR initiative, Barclays has decided to skill unemployed youths as per the industry

requirement. Barclays has decided to partner with GTT & NASSCOM Foundation in this

initiative. GTT would be executing the training program under this initiative, with limited

number of colleges across India. There were three trainers namely Amit Gunani, Chandani

Mehta and Vishesh Prasad who provided training .Total 221 students participated in this training

programme.16 students were from CSE.

Huawei a china based company deals in Computer Communication devices has organised a

National level competition in India. In india they have technical partner as Cognitel company

which is based at Gurugram. This competition basically has 05 stages as given in the leaflet.

In stage 01 our institute’s around 80 students have registered from 03rd & 04th year CSE-IT. The

exam for stage 01 was carried out online on 16th Sep 2018. In this exam our 23 students manage

to get the cut off marks & qualified for stage 02. In stage 02 exam which was held on 01st Nov

2018, our institute’s 03 students manage to qualify for round 03. Again this exam was taken

online, In stage 02 exam from whole of india Ms. Archana Shrivastava remained topper and

she belongs to our Institute (Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur).

As stated above, in stage 02 exam our Institutes 03 students namely 01) Ms. Archana

Shrivastava, 02) Ms. Priti Rahangdale, 03) Ms. Pooja Bombarde are also invited for Placement

drive organised by Huawei at Gurugram. Here our Institutes 03 students have participated in the

placement drive. Now, the above 03 students are preparing for stage 03 exam.

On the occasion of Sankalp 2019, Creative Dustbin and Paper Bag Making Competition

was organized by the department of Forum CSE. Using dustbins is an effective way of reducing

trash and keeping your environment clean. Having a dustbin around the house is a great way of

enhancing the appearance of the house. This is because dustbins provide people with a good

place of placing litter away. If dustbins were not available, then people would be littering

everywhere. Paper Bag is increasingly recognized by consumers & governments as not only

natural but a renewable & recyclable resource from which to manufacture high performance

packaging.

The competition started at 3 pm with the distribution of newspapers to all the participants

for dustbin and paper bag making. The participants were informed to bring all the required things

with them. All the participants were given 1 hour time to complete the dustbin and paper bag

making. In all, 16 groups participated for dustbin making competition and 20 groups participated

for paper bag making competition.

The event was judged by Dr.Nitin Mandavgade, Head Mechanical Dept. and

Dr.S.Phulsunge, Incharge Women Cell.The judges emphasized on the importance of dustbin

members of CESA 2018. Students from various colleges such as NIT Polytechnic, Anjuman

College of Engineering, Government Polytechnic, J.D College of Engineering and GNIT

department at Nagpur Institute of Technology on 21st September 2018. The event was

organized under the banner of SANKALP-2018. A total number of 92 students participated for

the event. The technical event team included Prof. B.J.Godboley & Dr.Phulsunghe faculty

members of NIT the members of CESA 2018. Students from various colleges such as NIT

Polytechnic, Anjuman College of Engineering, Government Polytechnic, J.D College of

Engineering participated in the event.

TECH TRAINERS AND TESTERS PUNE PVT. LTD. Conducted the seminar on

“Human right, Indian judiciary system and constitution of India”. After the seminar they have

conducted the written test on human right for the students. Total 254 students were benefitted.

The objective of the seminar was to ensure the basic human rights are not only respected

everywhere but also to promote a culture for the cultivation of human rights and educating the

citizen. The seminar also aimed the interdependence of Human Rights. This event conducted

under the banner of NSS on 28/09/2018.

Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as

National Unity Day, on October 31, 2018 to commemorate the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar

Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. A number of activities were organized all through the

day to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating “Rastriya ekta Diwas” in the College

premises. A special morning assembly was organized in which all faculties, staff members and

students gathered. The program started with the inspirational speech by Principal Sir, Dr.

N.V.Thakur who enlightened students about the role of Sardar patel in making india as

“Republic of India”. A Collaborative pledge on peace and solidarity was administered by

faculties and students. All students administered by faculties took part in a march past entitled

“Run for Unity”.

Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur celebrated the International Non-violence Day and birth

anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi on 02nd October 2018. Prof.Rahul Kadam, NSS Programme

officer addressed the gathering and said that India secured its independence through non-

violence while all other countries attained it through bloodshed. He remarked that Gandhiji was

respected not only in India but throughout the world. Sport Director Dr. J. Kotewar also

addressed the gathering and said that Mahatma Gandhi built a strong foundation of today’s India.

On same day NSS students organised a massive cleanliness drive at college campus.
