PROJECTS TAB

1. Printing

We have now added Preview Images to the Title Block Selection menus to allow you to see and

choose which title block you would like to use more clearly.

2. Quick Preferences

We have updated the menu dialogue box to have basic settings grouped into two tabs: General

and Print.

a) We have also added the default resolution at which you would like to render your images.

b) The Font is now selected in a drop down menu that shows the font preview.

c) The Dimensioning Arrow type/style is selected in a drop down menu.

d) In printing preferences, new binoculars have been added to select the default Title Block.

e) New preference has been added for print color, selectable from a list within the advanced

preferences for printing by default in color, monochrome and grayscale.

3. The Annotations Menu

New command that allows saving annotations to the project. It is useful for example to keep a

history of the changes, or to write what is pending and communicate client info between designers,

etc.

4. Manufacturers By Default

a) In these settings you are now presented with previews of the models you are using for your

ranges, as well as the binocular options to view the models as you make your selection.

The door and cabinet carcass now have the options to set the default material you would

like to apply.

b) The default moulding dialogue has also been modified to show previews.

5. Line Drawing Colours

Now the Colours button opens a reduced dialog that groups common elements to change their

colour with a single click. This will allow you to change the colour of the lines whilst designing in

autokitchen.

If we press advanced, the complete list opens with all the elements to change the colour of the

elements one by one. You can save colour presets under different names to load for use later.

ARCHITECTURE TAB

6. Wall Cut Outs

a) A new wall cut out dialogue allows you to make a hole on the wall without having to draw

a polyline.

b) The "Default" button has been added that allows saving the values for other projects.

7. Backsplash

a) The "Default" button has been added that allows saving the values you set for other projects.

b) Within the same session, the dialog remembers the width and height values used but not

the elevation. In AK18 the values were reset each time the dialogue was opened.

8. Windows

A new option to save the window model by default has been added.

9. Doors

The following have been added:

a) The door knob model now displays preview.

b) New option to set the door model to be used by default.

10. Architecture materials

The architecture materials dialogue (wall, floor, ceiling) has been redesigned for easier selection of

materials.

The dialogues that have been changed are the following:

a) Walls, Floor, Ceiling

b) Black Splash

c) Internal Wall

d) Pillar

e) Selected Walls

f) Wall Top Surface

g) All Walls

FURNISHINGS TAB

11. Dialogues of insertion of Cabinets, appliances and accessories:

a) When editing an appliance, the measurements are now displayed correctly. (In AK18 it was

showing the catalogue measurements, and not of the modified appliance).

b) The measurements and elevation of the selected cabinet are now shown from the insert

dialog.

c) The measurements of accessories have also been added to the accessories dialogue.

12. Cabinet Modifications

a) The dialogue with the variables below the image has been reorganized

b) You can now resize the dialogue box if required.

13. Options Dialogue

Now it can be resized (with some manufacturer catalogues the dialogue box did not appear

correctly)

14. Change ranges.

It has been redesigned as the ranges selection in manufacturer by default. This dialog is the same

for “Change ranges” and “Ranges” within the cabinets dialog.

15. Insertion of accessories associated with furniture and door:

a) Improved dialogue to add legs to cabinets:

i. The four corners of the furniture are selected by default

ii. There is a new button to save by default the distances of the front, rear and side to

the legs. It does not save the positions of the legs.

b) Improved dialogue to attach accessories to door or drawer fronts, there is a new default

button that saves the following:

i. Horizontal and vertical distances

ii. Horizontal centred option

iii. Vertical centred option

16. Cabinets Parts List (Manufacturing)

a) New button to group panels of the same size.

i. The amount is shown in a new column

ii. This list can be exported to Excel

b) New button to display an information preview image. (These images are not exported to

Excel):

i. The cabinet panel previews are shown with dimensions.

ii. Doors, drawers and handles are shown with an image of the model/styling.

iii. The accessories associated with the carcass and door are also shown.

17. Symbol insertion dialog

a) A preview of the symbols has been added within each category

b) All images have been recaptured to make them look better

Binoculars have been added to select the material by the image

WARDROBE MODULE

1. Selection of wardrobe door model:

a) New door models available where you can adjust the height of the intermediate panels.

b) The dialogue window is wider so that you can visualise the door models without scrolling

and without gaps in the models.

c) When you double click on a door model, a new window will display all the available

panel configurations for the selected door model

d) The quality of the image previews for the door models has improved.

2. Wardrobe Materials

a) The dialogue box has been redesigned to remove the tabs.

b) The three default save buttons of each category (Interior, Mouldings, Finish Panel) have

been replaced by a single button in the lower left

c) autokitchen's own material library have been added.

3. Editing Wardrobe Doors

a) The handle position buttons have been hidden in the door view when the doors are hinged.

b) A new dialogue window is now accessible from the doors view, where you can now open

the doors in the way you like for viewing in 3D.

i. You can enter a distance and select and move the doors left or right. The program

calculates by default the maximum distance to open the doors without clashing.

ii. Overlap the doors to one side or the other to leave them opened the way you like.

So when shown in 3D, you can see part of the interior of the wardrobe without having

to hide all the doors.

c) The application of materials to the cabinet doors dialogue box has been redesigned:

i. A list is displayed instead of tabs.

ii. The display order of the panels is the same in the % change dialog

iii. All autokitchen's materials catalogue have been added so that it can be furnished

with the same finish as the wardrobe.

4. High Level Cupboards

Now you can add high level cupboards to your wardrobes from the structure view. In the structure

view you can add / edit / and delete a loft if the template allows.

5. New High-Level Cupboard Distribution Options

If the wardrobe has got high-level cupboards, when you are in the auto distribution tab and

click on the high-level cupboards, the program will display the options for distribution.

6. Available Cuts (Box In)

Now you can create and edit any cuts from the structure tab.

a. There is a limitation of one cut per module. If there is already a cut, and you try to create

another, the program will ask you if you want to erase the previous cut. You can also edit

an existing cut without having to re-create it.

b. There is a new erase button to remove the cuts.

c. If you add High-Level Cupboard the cut will be erased.

7. Interior Distribution

a) Internal Doors

If the size of the door is wider than 550 mm, the program will now automatically display two

doors by default. In previous versions it only displayed one.

b) New dialogue windows to enter the measurement values with new icons to show a better

representation of the value you are entering.

c) The new materials dialogue window for shelving, drawers etc… has been improved and has

now got larger previews of the materials.

8. New Cutting Lists for Wardrobes

a) It shows the wood grain and the edging (This can be configured with the template editor).

b) It can group identical parts to summarise the quantities.

c) You can now print directly from this window.

d) It can export to all the same formats as autokitchen. By default the files are saved in the akac\doc

folder. If it is exported to Excel, windows will automatically launch Excel after it has been saved.

e) You can configure the increments/decrements for each part to adjust the measurements.

i. If you select project values, the parts will be for the current wardrobe with no

adjustments.

ii. You can now save pre-set configurations of your different adjustments with individual

names.

iii. There is one pre-set configuration which can be applied by default.

iv. There is a filter to show only the elements which are in the correct project.

9. New changes have been made to facilitate the use of the program

a) A new image has been added for the wardrobe templates.

b) Now you do not need to reach the last screen in order to insert the wardrobe, a new "OK" button

has been added in all the screens to insert the wardrobe into the project.

c) In the first window, the options for side panels, mouldings etc… are limited only to the available

models for the wardrobe template that has been selected.

10. New Editor for Wardrobe Templates (Optional)

a) Allows you to configure the construction method for the manufacturing.

b) It is launched from the wardrobe program.

c) This is optional and with an additional cost.

CATALOGUE CUSTOMIZER

1. A New Improved Dialogue Window for editing Ranges:

a) It shows the material finish for the doors and carcass.

b) Previews models of all the doors and handles have been added.

c) The following three Windows have been merged into one. The Screwdriver and Hammer has been

removed. To apply a model you simply click on the image to visualise the options available and

select the desired model:

d) You now select the models of the doors and the handles, as well as their materials from one

window using the miniature previews.

e) In the centre you now have a preview of your selected materials for the carcass and the door.

ACCESSORIES EDITOR (OPTIONAL)

The materials dialogue window to apply the default materials to each layer (Parts) of your 3D model, has now been

enlarged for easier use.

CATALOGS & MATERIALS

Several appliance and plumbing catalogs have been introduced or expanded including:

Bosch (EXPANDED)

Fisher & Paykel (EXPANDED)

Haube Range Manufacturing Co. (NEW CATALOGUE)

Hestan (NEW CATALOGUE)

Kohler (EXPANDED)

Rangecraft (EXPANDED)

Several countertop brands have been added or expanded including:

Cambria, Caesarstone, Dekton, Naturamia, Neolith, Sapienstone,and Techlam Top.
