MIT-WPU Faculty of Engineering is introducing a minor in Computer Engineering along with pursuing their major in their chosen BTech specialisation.

To earn the minor in Computer Engineering (CE), the student should acquire an additional 20 credits defined for a minor in CE.

With minors in Computers, student will get wide job opportunities in core Engineering as well as IT sectors.

This will enable the students to gain an expertise in two different disciplines.

These credits are in addition to the mandatory 168 credits of the BTech Program at MIT-WPU in which the student is admitted.

The students can take up the minor after the successful completion of their first year.

After a successful completion of 168 + 20 credits, such students will have transcripts and grade sheets which will confirm their BTech in chosen engineering specialization along with a Minor in Computer Engineering.

My overall experience at Mit WPU has been amazing. Mit has provided me with a number of opportunities to grow and explore my skills. Mit has always emphasised on good infrastructure, sports, and quality education. I also had the opportunity to be a part of various technical clubs, co found and head a few as well. I have always found a positive and healthy environment and the teachers are highly supportive. Studying at MIT has added a number of values to my life.

Monisha Kohli

MITWPU has helped me throughout these years to get closer to my dreams. I would like to extend my gratitude for the constant support and guidance we all are provided here.

Ritika Dev Choudhury

I loved the infrastructure of MIT WPU and its been a wonderful experience. I was apart of the Placement Team and also conducted various events in my School and in this process I received a lot of opportunities that helped me to grow my confidence level and build my personality. My teachers have been extremely kind and have always motivated and supported me in whatever I have done. I would like to specially thank the institute for providing me with various diverse career options. Even after being an Electronics student, I aimed for a career in Consulting and successfully cracked the same in an on campus opportunity.

Utkarsh Agarwal

I am extremely grateful being part of such prestigious institution which has always articulated the importance of peace and moral development in our lives. Teachers here are amazing at their work and never fail to bring the best out of students providing them challenging projects and instilling in them the new technological advancements.

Having won accolades nationally, evident from our NIRF and TIMES Rankings, we are striving hard to be recognized at the international level as well. In this endeavor, ‘Industry-Readiness at The Global Level” and “Research & Innovation” are our key focus areas.

There is a huge demand for an industry-ready manpower that is conversant with the latest technologies adopted by the industry. Therefore, it is necessary, as academicians, that we contribute to the growth of our nation by grooming professionals, who are conversant with the current advances and practices in the industry.

Building a strong industry-academia connect is a priority for me. My team of faculty members is continuously revising the engineering curriculum in consultation with the top industry experts. Keeping the latest technological advancements in mind, we are introducing the following important courses in our B. Tech curriculum for the benefit of all students enrolled in engineering, irrespective of their chosen branch in engineering: Python Programing, Basic IoT Laboratory, Data Science for Engineers, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Probability and Statistics.

To add to this significant change in our curriculum, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has done another path-breaking change in the structure of its engineering education with the introduction of a Minor in Computer Science for all engineering students, with the exception of those already pursuing Computer Science or Computer Engineering. This change has been made in view of the surge in demand for professionals with a background in Computer Engineering along with domain knowledge of other subjects in fields like Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, etc.
