• MOA SIGNING OF MAAP AND PARTNER INSTITUTIONS WITH DOE, DOST, TREEDC & BATAAN PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENTFOR “INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM”

TREEDC MOA WITH MAAP

TREEDC has initiated the creation of a network that actively

provides technical assistance, sharing of ideas, resources,

and information to further accelerate the implementation of

renewable energy and economic development programs in

the Philippines, through the implementation of its International

Exchange Program

MAAP supports TREEDC and declares its appreciation and

intention to partner and register as its network’s honorary

member under the International Exchange Program

MAAP thru its External Relations Office (ERO) and PAEPI

facilitated the coordination and preparation of this

Memorandum of Agreement in line with the development

thrusts of TREEDC and MAAP and its partners

cooperative capability building,

partnerships, and knowledge

sharing activities embodied in

initiatives as the International

Exchange Program

enrich the research and

development capability and

expand the knowledge base of

the MAAP and other members of

TREEDC network

MOA for a stronger international

linkage, cooperation and

partnership development

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MAAP

1. submit its organizational profile/other pertinent information to

TREEDC for business matching and other TREEDC’s

assistance for possible funded renewable energy joint projects

2. provide updates of renewable energy related activities,

projects and developments to TREEDC and sister TREEDC

college/university partner

3. assist TREEDC in promoting the International Exchange

Program

4. encourage participation/membership of other MAAP partners

in the TREEDC network

5. partner with TREEDC in the conduct of a community

renewable energy forum anytime within the duration of the 2

year membership/agreement period

6. provide exchange of technological information and best

practices updates about the TREEDC network and its sister

TREEDC college/university partners

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MAAP

7. champion the mission of TREEDC,

International Exchange Program,

and sister TREEDC colleges/

universities in both internal and

external activities/events of MAAP

8. support the establishment of formal

dialogues between TREEDC

members on the development of

renewable energy technologies

and resources

9. conduct a reciprocal visit to

Tennessee within the duration of

the 2-year membership/agreement

period

10. include TREEDC logo and brief

information on its website.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF TREEDC

1. conduct at least 1 field visit by TREEDC President and

Director and/or designated person(s) at MAAP within the

duration of the 2-year membership/agreement period with

MAAP arranging for its itinerary inclusive of local

transportation and accommodations

2. assist MAAP in the preparation of USAID-funded renewable

energy projects in MAAP, Bataan

3. provide assistance in organizing a community renewable

energy forum/project to be held in MAAP within the duration of

the 2 year membership/agreement period

4. share information relating to newsletters, reports and

proceedings generated from the conduct of forums, and all

multimedia materials provided during the local TREEDC

forums

5. provide access to TREEDC renewable energy businesses,

governmental members, associations and colleges

RESPONSIBILITIES OF TREEDC

6. give update to MAAP as regards to TREEDC projects and

sister college/university partner activities;

7. provide consultation and field visits with Renewable Energy

Association of Philippines (REAP) and other renewable energy

stakeholders in Philippines to assist in starting a TREEDC like

organization in the Philippines

8. assist MAAP in the business matching process by facilitating

contacts and negotiations and other possible funded projects

on renewable energy

9. support the establishment of formal dialogues between MAAP

and the private sector (global and local) regarding the

development of renewable energy technologies and resources

10. include MAAP logo and brief information at its website
