femto chemiluminescent substrate

Chemiluminescent HRP Substrates for ELISAExcellent sensitivity for use in luminometersThe Chemiluminescent substrates are designed for enzyme detection and quantification for researchers looking for greater sensitivity in their ELISAs or any other solution-based assay. These ELISAs can take place in either a test tube or a microplate. They are quantified by measuring relative light units (RLU) in a luminometer. Model 36490-20 was developed for researchers who need high sensitivity at an economical price. Model 36490-22 has an improved enhancer system that meets the needs of high-throughput screening and diagnostic customers.

SuperSignal® ELISA Pico Chemiluminescent Substratel Determine protein concentrations in under five minutes This substrate is optimized for lumino meter-based assays to generate an intense light signal and can be read at 425 nm. An intense signal is produced immediately at room temperature or at 37ºC. High signal-to-noise ratio minimize the background. Signal can be read in black or white opaque plates. Kits can be store at room temperature.

SuperSignal® ELISA Femto Chemiluminescent Substratel The most sensitive substrate for plate-based applications This kit utilizes an enhancer formulation for superior protein detection in ELISA applications with improved low-end linearity. Intense signal is generated immediately at both room temperature and 37°C. Signal can be read at 425 nm.

Kit also features improved low-end linearity which ensures easy detection of low quantities of proteins with high signal-to-noise ratios and low-end linearity of dose response curves. Stores up to six month at room temperature or a minimum of 12 months at 4°C with six-hour working solution stability.

Immobilized Streptavidin, NeutrAvidin™, and Monomeric Avidin Gelsl Use for simple isolation of biotin-labeled proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomoleculesThese immobilized proteins are covalently attached to agarose supports via reductive amination—resulting in a stable, leach-resistant linkage that is uncharged and does not impart any ion-exchange properties to the support. Streptavidin has a high affinity for biotin, is carbohydrate-free, and has relatively little nonspecific binding. NeutrAvidin has an equally high affinity for biotin and it displays even greater specificity for biotin, yielding the lowest nonspecific binding among avidin proteins. Monomeric avidin (supplied with a disposable column trial kit) is also specific for biotin but binds with a much lower affinity, allowing release of biotin-labeled molecules from the support under gentle conditions.

Properties of antibody-binding proteins

ImmunPure® Immobilized Protein A, G, A/G, and LIdeal for antibody research and small-scale production using affinity purification methods l Provide the widest range of purification optionsHighly purified forms of proteins are covalently attached to agarose supports via reductive amination; resulting in a stable, leach-resistant linkage that is uncharged and does not impart any ion-exchange properties to the support. Proteins A and G are bacterial cell wall components that bind primarily to the Fc region of antibodies and are by far the most popular choice for affinity purification of IgG. Protein A/G is an engineered protein that combines the IgG binding domains of both Proteins A and G. Protein L is another bacterial protein used for antibody purification; it binds to several classes of immunoglobulin (e.g. IgG, IgM, IgA) if they have particular kappa light chains.

Gel Extraction Kit Fully functional DNA extracted from agarose gels in just a 10-minute spinRecover 100 to 10,000 bp DNA from agarose gel slices in a single 10-minute spin. The kit consists of a pre-assembled filter device with an agarose gel nebulizer, a microcentrifuge vial, and modified TAE gel extraction buffer (dry).

The device utilizes gel compression to extract DNA from the agarose. Centrifugal force collapses the gel structure, and drives the agarose through a small orifice in the gel nebulizer. The resultant gel slurry is sprayed into the sample filter cup.

Prepared DNA requires no further purification for most applications, including cloning and radioisotopic or fluorescent DNA sequencing. Since agarose gel electrophoresis has high resolving power, the small and large non-specific amplification products that frequently interfere with cloning and sequencing after PCR are completely removed from the product.

HotStart® Storage and Reaction TubesOptimize the hot start reaction and eliminate the need for messy oil overlays l Perform HotStart PCR with speed and simplicityl Thin-wall tubes feature a pre-positioned wax bead inside each tubel Conveniently store pre-aliquoted master mixes for PCR and sequencingl Complete the RT-PCR process in one tube The HotStart tubes automate the HotStart PCR process by using a pre-positioned wax barrier to separate key reagents until the annealing temperature is reached, thereby decreasing the occurrence of misprimes, primer-dimers, and premature annealing.. Tubes can also be used for the storage of commonly used primer sets and PCR product for months for later use or analysis. Simply create a master mix, aliquot into the tubes, melt the wax bead, and freeze! This is a great way to save time and ensure test-to-test consistency when regularly running several of the same reaction types using identical primer sets.

HotStart’s unique design can also facilitate a one-tube RT-PCR procedure by using a thermostable reverse transcription enzyme. Simply add your reverse transcription reagents to the lower layer and the PCR reagents to the upper layer. The first denotation cycle of PCR will melt the wax, denature any side reagents from the RT reaction, and begin the amplification of the target cDNA.

What's included: each pack includes tubes or strip tubes for 96 reactions.

Cell Culture Dishes, Flasks, and Plates with CellBIND® SurfaceA novel surface treatment for improved cell attachmentl Better cell attachment leads to increased cell growth and yieldsl May eliminate the need for tedious, time-consuming expensive and

low stability biological coatingsThe CellBIND surface enhances cell attachment under difficult conditions, such as reduced-serum or serum-free medium, resulting in higher cell yields. This patented technology uses a microwave process for treating the culture surface. This process improves cell attachment by incorporating significantly more oxygen into the cell culture surface, rendering it more hydrophilic (wettable) and increasing surface stability. The surface also reduces premature cell detachment from confluent cultures especially in roller bottles.

The CellBIND culture surface features the same high quality standards as other vessels. Culture inoculating and harvesting should be performed in the same manner as current methods. Both enzymatic and nonenzymatic dissociating solutions have been successfully used to remove cells from CellBIND surfaces. All products are individually printed with the CellBIND logo to differentiate from standard treatment cell culture products and to avoid mix-ups. Select from dishes with lids, flasks with caps, or plates with lids.

Corning CellBIND surface

Cell Scrapers and LifterScrapers and lifter are ideal for mechanically harvesting cells

The unique blade design of these cell scrapers minimizes cell damage and ensures even contact with the growth surface. The small scraper is designed for small- and medium-sized flasks; the large scraper fits larger flasks and roller bottles. The cell lifter is used with dishes and cell culture clusters. All are individually wrapped and irradiation sterilized.

Lab-Tek II Chamber Slide SystemGlass slides are specially cleaned for optimal cell attachment and growth. Separate the media chamber from the slide using removal tool (included). Biocompatible acrylic adhesive seals the media chamber and slide, preventing well-to-well contamination. Wells feature a hydrophobic border that defines their growth area. Superfrost® writing area allows for easy sample identification.

Lab-Tek Chambered Cover Glass SystemsSystems consist of a miniature polystyrene media chamber with a #1 borosilicate cover glass as the growth surface. Chambered cover glasses are sealed to the media chamber using a nontoxic silicone gasket. Ultra-thin (0.13 to 0.17 mm) cover glasses permit viewing of cells at higher magnifications using an inverted microscope. Special German-origin borosilicate glass is ideal for growing fastidious cells such as neuronal cells. Media chambers are not removable.

Ideal for in situ analysis—cells can be cultured, fixed, stained, and viewed on the same microscope slideEasily perform microscopic analysis of cell cultures using these miniature chamber systems that have removable media chambers. This eliminates the need for cell transfers from a vessel to a slide. The systems consist of a lid for aseptic manipulation, removable polystyrene (PS) media chamber, and a standard 25 x 75 mm slide that functions as the growth substrate.

Choose from either cell-culture treated Permanox® plastic or glass (soda lime) slides. Both are ideal for analysis of fluorescent stained cell cultures as they do not interfere with fluorescent labels. All Chamber Slide systems are presterilized.

Lab-Tek Chamber Slide SystemsPermanox and PS slides are cell-culture treated; glass slides are precleaned to promote cell adhesion and growth. Media chambers are easily removed by hand leaving the slide for further analysis. Chamber and slide are sealed with a nontoxic silicone gasket which can be removed or left in place for reagent incubation. SideFlask and Flaskette systems are great for closed incubation.

Disposable Spinner FlasksReady-to-use vessel system eliminates assembly timel Unique paddle and integrated magnet These vessels are made of USP XXXIII class VI polystyrene, but are comparable to conventional glass spinner flasks for growth of suspension cell lines and any attachment-dependent cultures using microcarrier beads. Molded from virgin polystyrene and gamma-irradiated, each single-use flask system ensures a clean sterile unit. The paddle size and height is adjustable for each vessel size. The integrated magnet provides smooth, even rotation at typical stirrer speeds. Heat buildup in the vessel is reduced by means of a specially designed flange that raises the vessel off the stirrer surface.

2D Microhex™ MicrocarrierMicroscopic polystyrene hexagons for adherent cell cultureSterile microcarrier features a certified surface treatment to ensure excellent conditions for cell attachment and growth. It is also solid, nonswelling, nonporous, and nonabsorbing. Reagents and gel particles cannot be trapped in the carrier. The shape and low specific gravity of the Microhex enables suspension at low stirring speeds—facilitating the initial cell attachment and resulting in a uniform coverage of all carriers.

Handheld Barcode ScannerReads Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, and morel Durable and low costl Keep track of your samplesScanner has a “plug and play” feature for use with a USB slot—great for uploading data right to your computer. It automatically switches between Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, and several other barcodes. Scanner must be in contact with the barcode to read. Uses English UK language.

Catalog number Description Language PriceKH-01928-82 Scanner for USB English UK

BarcodingA barcode is a piece of automatic identification technology that stores information. Barcodes are “machine-readable codes” which can be used to reduce errors, process many samples, track products, and many more applications. We offer three different code types:

Code 39This is an alphanumerical code that contains both numbers and characters/letters. Code 39 has fewer characters/letters but is printed in the same space. Code 39 characters have five bars and four spaces. It is widely supported, flexible, and offers good data security.

Code 128This is also an alphanumerical code that contains both numbers and characters/letters. Code 128 characters are denser than Code 39 but are printed in the same sign space. They comprise of three bars and three spaces with three different subsets A, B, or C. We recommend Code 128 because of its compressed design, wide support, flexibility, and data security.

Interleaved 2 of 5This code is numerical (no letters) and self-checking to improve data security. Each Interleaved 2 of 5 character encodes two digits (one in the bars and one in the spaces) giving it a higher density. Interleaved 2 of 5 always requires an equal number of characters (including check digit) to be printed. Due to the design of Interleaved 2 of 5, there is a risk of truncation of the sequence when scanned, which is why we recommend a check digit and that a fixed number of digits mode is chosen in the reading software if possible.

Aseptic Sampler SystemInject or withdraw samples in-line without risking contamination from yeast, mold, and other unwanted organismsl Ideal for pharmaceutical, biotech, food, dairy, and fermentation

applicationsl Written instructions can easily be incorporated into

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manualsThe aseptic sampler system is a sterile, pressure- and temperature-safe way to handle your sampling needs. The pre-sterilized septum has multiple ports and is designed to allow easy identification of previous penetration points on the septum. This design prevents users from repeatedly penetrating the same point, and therefore eliminates the chance of contamination.

The sanitary fittings allow the user to easily retrofit the aseptic sampler system into pre-existing fluid lines or onto bioreactors. The design of the system prevents the septa from leaking when installed on bioreactors.

The aseptic sampler is easy to install—simply place the septum into the seat on the sanitary fitting, attach the nut onto the fitting, and tighten. Training videos are also available upon request.

Sterilized Sampling Bottle AssembliesSafely transfer, sample, and store biopharmaceutical products and reagents in applications from research to processl Secure, single-piece cap/tubing assembly eliminates

contamination and product loss due to loose connectionsl Assemblies are pre-sterilized by gamma irradiation—eliminates

labor and validation costs associated with assembly and cleaning

l Manufactured in an FDA-registered facility from pharmaceutical-grade resins and tubing

Cap assembly includes a seamless liner with premolded C-FLEX® fill and vent tubes to create an unobstructed fluid path. The 18" fill tube is plugged at the terminal end to maintain assembly sterility until use. Vent tube includes a 0.2-micron Pall® Acrodisc PTFE vent filter to prevent infiltration by contaminants. Vent filter is hydrophobic to guard against loss of costly product or media during filling or emptying. The one-piece liner eliminates the risk of bacterial entrapment and contamination and forms an elastomeric seal between cap and bottle rim.

C-FLEX Tubing is manufactured according to cGMP and meets USP Class VI and USDA requirements. Tubing can withstand temperatures from –100 to 275°F (–73 to 135°C). C-Flex tubing has exceptional tensile and tear strength, extremely low extractables, and excellent biocompatibility. The smooth inner surface reduces absorption and protein binding.

What’s included: Nalgene® clear PETG bottle, 38-mm cap, C-Flex tube/liner assembly with 1⁄8" ID x 1⁄4" OD tubing, and 0.2-micron vent filter.
