OTTO Chemie | Natural stone silicone

Additional useful information:Migratory staining is a serious consequence of using sealants that are not suitable for natural stone joints. Inappropriate smoothing and rinsing agents can also cause stains on natural stone during and after application.

After preparing the joint and grouting with S 70 the joint should always be smoothed with undiluted OTTO marble silicone smooth-ing agent. This reduces the risk of smoothing agent stains to a minimum. Besides, the smoothing agent was tested at the Fresenius Institute and found to be “not irritating to the skin”, which constitutes further advantage over washing up liquids that degrease the skin. Furthermore, by using OTTO marble silicone smoothing agent the colour pigments and the lustre of the sealant surface are kept intact.

When modeling the colour “C197 stainless steel” please be aware that whenlayers of silicone are pushed on top of one another, e.g. in the corners, dark, clearly visible dividing lines may show, which cannot be eliminated by smoothing.

Prodouct descriptionThis 1-part surface adhesive with a tough-hard joint and a wide adhesive spectrum is used for the bonding of different types of finish coat /core materials. It is particularly well suited for bonding PVC hard, HPL, sheet steel, pre-treated aluminium (chromated, powder-coated, stained), fibre-glass reinforced plastics with different typesof insulating material like mineral cotton, PS and PUR foam.

COSMOPUR 1811 can be processed in paste rolls, bead casting plants, as well as manually by means of putty coating.
