MEDICAL QUALIFICATION PROGRAMS

Medical Language Course German B2/C1 in ClassThe Medical Language Course (FSP) follows the previous B2 language test (Standard Language) in the institute or, for external participants, the telc B2 or Goethe B2 exam, the TestDaF or the DSH. In this course, the participants are prepared for the medical language examination of the medical associations or the telc German B2 / C1 Medicine Specialist Language Examination.In order to work as a doctor in Germany, you need a state license (Approbation) or temporary professional license(Berufserlaubnis). In Germany, those approvals are linked to the acquisition of certain qualif ications. This includes, in particular, proof of gen-eral language skills at level B2, the medical language at level C1 and the „knowledge test“ (Kenntnisprüfung), if you have completed your stud-ies in a Non-EU Country. This process of qualif ication includes many organizational and administrative processes – especially with regard to preparatory courses and registration for exams – we will be happy to support and accompany you in this process.

The Medical Language Course follows the previous B2 language test (Standard Language) in the institute or, for external participants, the telc B2 or Goethe B2 exam, the TestDaF or the DSH. In this course, the participants are prepared for the medical language examination of the medi-cal associations or the telc German B2 / C1 Medicine Specialist Language Examination. It is an intensive course with a total of 180 teaching units of 45 minutes each. At the end of the course there is an internal f inal test, which is based on the examination of the state medical associations. The focus of the course is on the doctor-patient communication, the doctor-doctor discussion and the written documentation in accordance with the requirements of the medical language examination of the medical associations.

EXAM PREPARATION COURSESTESTDAF - DSH - telc

TESTDAF Preparation Course

The TestDaF is one of the standardized exams required for the admission to a German institution of tertiary education.

The TestDaF consists of four exam parts: Reading Comprehension,

Listening Comprehension, Written Expression and Oral Expression.

For an admission to a German institution of tertiary education, you

will usually need a TDN 4 in all four parts.

In this course, you will get to know the exam format and train your skills in every sec-tion. Usually, the requirement for participation is a completed B2-level.

DSH Preparation Course

The DSH is one of the standardized exams required for the admission to a German insti-tution of tertiary education. The DSH consists of the following parts: Reading, Structures of Academic Language, Listening, Writing and an Oral Exam.

For an admission to a German institution of tertiary education, you will usually need a DSH 2, which is calculated from the performance in all five parts.

In this course, you will get to know the exam format and train your skills in every sec-tion. Usually, the requirement for participation is a completed B2 level.

The courses will be held by a highly experienced DSH lecturer.

TELC C1 Hochschule Preparation Course

In our telc C1 Hochschule exam preparation course, you will get to know the content and the exam format of this language test.

The courses will be held by a telc examiner.

Most universities accept this exam for admissions as an alternative to other language tests (e.g. TestDaF).

In order to take part in this preparatory course, a B2 level completed with a “good” must be presented.

The course contains the C1 level and the telc C1 exam preparation.

The advantage of telc C1 for tertiary education is that exam dates can be booked individually and the evaluation takes place faster than with other exams.

Furthermore, the exam places are not limited.

telcLANGUAGE EXAMS

Genius Academy for Education and Languages is an accredited test centre for telc exams.

These exams can be taken directly at our academy. telc exams are standardized. They are offered in the entire EU and are being marked centrally.

telc German B2: exam for learners on an upper intermediate level. Participants are able to communicate clearly and with a wide variety in

vocabulary. A good knowledge of German grammar is also required.

telc German C1 for university: exam for university applicants or people that want to work in the academic field to proof knowledge

in academic German on an advanced level. Participants are able to communicate spontaneously and fluently, as well as they can

discuss and understand long, abstract and complex texts. The certificate is recognized by all German universities.

For univer-sity applicants, professionals in medicine and health care (doctors, dentist, nurses and care givers) as well as other professionals and academic staff please read the follow-ing information:

telc German B1·B2 for health care professionals: Exam for professionals in the field of nursing and health care, made for partici-pants seeking employment in Germany. With this exam the participants proof adequate competence in medical German. The certificate is official recognized.

telc German B2·C1 for doctors

Wxam for doctors seeking employment in Germany. This exam is based on the required communication skills in order to communicate with patients and colleagues. Please check with the institution in charge of your license to practice medicine if this exam is recognized or not.
