Once upon a timeIt was the beginning of the nineties when Elmar Stimpfl, still racing with the best Italian ski clubs and then with the Italian ski team, could not find appropriate plates on the market to boost his performance. Athletic passion, the driving force of his career and creativity, instinctively propelled him towards his first entrepreneurial adventure. What seems to be a marginal accessory has, in reality, great potentiality and is very sought-after by professional skiers. Together with Roberto Vivian his partner then, he decided to start his first small production of plates that he then sold directly, thanks to his international contacts, to athletes of the world of ski racing. From the combination of the first letters of the two partners’ surnames, in 1997 Vist was born, the Italian ski plate brand that in only a short time would turn out to be the seed of a greater, successful entrepreneurial project. From the very beginning, Vist plates
Per Vist è un’esperienza fondamentale, che ispira quell’evoluzione verso la fusione, allora di forte rottura, tra tecnologia e moda italiana, vero pilastro della filosofia del brand. have been highly performing, resistant and reliable, able to exponentially multiply the performances of athletes on the snow whilst, at the same time, limiting vibrations on the backbone. Vist quickly became the most important producer of functional race plates in the world. A goal consecrated by the portraits of the German athlete, Katia Seizinger, immortalized on the top step of the podium next to her skis and Vist plates at the Nagano Olympic Games in 1998.
Only the braveStrengthened by a rapidly increasing reputation, Vist traded its plates together with other innovative products that made the difference in the athletic experience. Two in particular: the “E-Coach” device - an electronic training support system that monitors the athlete’s position on skis and immediately sends feedback to improve posture - and the Boblbee, a Swedish designed backpack. Between the end of the nineties and beginning of year 2000, these two products conquered the pages of the main sports magazines of the moment but also, unexpectedly, those of fashion magazines. Thanks to Vist, the Boblbee backpack was lent to Pitti and entered over two hundred of the best Italian fashion boutiques, thus turning from a purely sports product into a true and proper object of desire. For Vist this experience was fundamental, and inspired the evolution towards the merging of technology and fashion, which in

the past were two strongly opposing factors, but which are now the true pillars of the brand’s philosophy. It only took a short while before everything began to grow and change. In 2001, the first garments for the professional ski race sector were created. In 2003, by acquiring a business branch from Benetton, Vist began the production of bindings to side that of the plates. A daring move, which has remained vivid in the memory of Elmar Stimpfl, “I remember those nights very well, after the decision to take over the patents and production of the bindings. We had bought the new offices in Caldaro, in the province of Bolzano, and signed with Benetton within only a few days and no information had been disclosed on the agreement. The headlines wrote Vist bought Benetton’s bindings and the banks called us to find out if we were crazy”. A folly that, as sometimes it occurs, is only the beginning of a successful adventure.
From tech to glamIn 2004, Vist launched its bindings on the market, specifically the V614 model, which had already received in 2002 the prestigious
Innovation Award for its design. In this way, Vist passed from the production of plates to that of complete systems with SpeedLock, the first and only integrated plate-binding system, which allowed the binding to be attached to the plate without the need of any type of tool. In the meantime, other ideas took shape: in 2004, Vist presented its first complete collection of apparel and the RACE line, becoming the official supplier for the National British ski team. From the men’s Pro Track jacket, in Polartec Power Shield, to the Pro Track Woman outfit, the Vist collections received the APEX Award for design and practicality. “That year some athletes of the British ski team entered for the first time the top 15 places in the World Cup”, Elmar recalls, “and that was a great piece of luck for us, as our brand gained an incredible visibility on the media also for the apparel, arousing a strong interest that convinced us to continue in this direction”. At the same time, VIST created its first mini ski line, that moved into the top market segment in just a few years and achieved excellent results in the most important tests worldwide. By then, the company was producing all that was necessary on track: plates, bindings, technical apparel and skis. In 2005 Vist also
fitted out the Czech Republic’s national ski team and, in the same year, officially opened its first single brand shop in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza.
Ski, but chic!Everything that takes shape in Vist has a special trait, as it always combines the highest technology and maximum attention to performance with a style inspired by Italian design and fashion. An interpretation of success that, thanks to the project handled on behalf of Vist by the communication agency Plus Communications, finds its perfect expression in the neologism “skichic”, for years a label of Vist ski and apparel collections. A strong and rapid growth of the brand, highly appreciated in the world, boosted other original adventures, which once again anybody would call insane. The Ghanaian athlete, Kwame Nkrumah Acheampong, who had never worn a pair of skis, dreamt of taking part in the Olympic Games. Vist, and the Fiemme Valley, helped him achieve this goal. From the courage and determination of this visionary “snow leopard”, the inspiration
tempo, tutto cresce e cambia.
Ski, but chic!

for the first women’s apparel collection, the Snow Leopard Limited Edition, was born and created by Vist in 2006. The following year, the new eccentric Aurum collection saw 24 carat gold as the main protagonist, thanks to which Vist received the Trend & Innovation Gallery Award at the Sportitaly show in Bolzano, for product style and uniqueness, and investments in communication. Vist is now a successful designer label, an original and ever innovative combination of fashion and technicality: fitting out ski champions of international fame, from Prince Albert of Monaco to Paris Hilton, wearing Aurum outfits on the tracks in Ischgl, in Austria. Between 2008 and 2009 the temporary Vist stores in Milano, the fashion capital, and Porto Cervo, the Italian good life capital, were opened.
Following the winterThe high technical expertise, a sure instinct for the latest fashion trends and the irrepressible spirit of brand innovation are the themes developed in an original and unexpected manner in the extraordinary visual book
created in 2012 with Oliviero Toscani. Here ski champions and instructors, men and women snow lovers, the perfect testimonials of the Vist spirit, are masterfully captured. The brand has reached its peak in a continuous search for the increasingly highest quality and functional standards, able to tell its story and product philosophy with strong, distinctive and challenging advertising campaigns. These years immediately follow the global economic crisis whose effects are felt in all productive sectors of the country. Regardless of the objectives achieved, something began to break and Vist had to face a difficult change. While from 2011 plates and bindings were made by the spin-off company, Vist Tech, that launched the brand further with important product innovations, the production of apparel would temporarily follow a different path. For Elmar Stimpfl this was only a temporary division, as Vist is his life engine, the fruit of his athletic passion and his creative vision of winter, an idea that cannot fizzle out in the face of difficulties: “A brand like ours cannot go on if it loses its identity. Its strength lies in the people who together commit themselves, body and soul, to a common mission. For these
reasons, in twenty years I have never let go and have never thought of really giving up”. In 2014, thanks to new investments, Vist returned under the guidance of Elmar and his team, with the aim of maintaining its identity even in the future: a deep Italian entrepreneurial idea, that entwines technology and glamour, combines high performance and style, accompanies great worldwide ski champions to the top steps of the podium, outfits internationally famous celebrities, continues to research and experiment, and astonishes like only the real “Made in Italy” is able to. On the strength of this improved entrepreneurial project, in 2015 Vist became sponsor of the Russian Ski Federation, opened a single brand shop in Cortina d’Ampezzo and received the ISPO Award in the category “Ski - Rental & Service Equipment” for its new Junior ski binding. In January 2017, together with the new Skichic and Snow Leopard collections for the 2017/18 season, Vist presented the Ventinverni capsule collection at the ISPO exhibition to celebrate its twentieth anniversary. You heard it, Vist is twenty years old. It is young, good looking and smart. And has many more wonderful snowy winters to come.

Be Vistinctive!
What we love, see and touch, no matter how fleetingly, very often has a story that is rooted in the human
creative power, in the desire to express an intuition, an emotion, and a thought that moulds reality. Matter and ideas merge to create something previously inexistent. And at the end of the process, the final result forever captures the energy, determination, attempts, mistakes and satisfaction of the one who started out on the creative adventure. For over twenty years, this adventure for Vist has meant transforming sports passion into apparel collections, high performance skis and accessories, with a pure Italian and fashion oriented design. Combining top range fabrics with cuts designed to accompany in the best way possible the skiers’ movements and vitamin colors that explode with the energy and enthusiasm of days spent on the snow. Creating total
comfort and lively garments, with a clean and swift style like the traces left by skis on lily-white snow. For the 2017/18 season, thanks to the stylist, Franca Munaretto, the more athletic Vist Skichic woman plays with the new color combinations, which are always in strong contrast against the plain white, of the Ambra, Amelia and Anna ski jackets where the more intense Red, Orange and Fuchsia colors are matched with softer shades, Aster, Water, Patrol and Lime. Or she can be enwrapped by the warmth of the double purpose short down jackets, in all the plain colors of the collection, included Black, to be freely matched with the natural fur collars, and illuminated with Swarovski rhinestone applications and steel studs of the Caterina model. Everything, always and anyway matching the ski pants and overalls, the new sweaters and all the accessories in the same colors. The contrasting colors and clean cuts
- especially the diagonal lines which follow the movement of the skier along the mountain slopes, inspiration of the stylist, Jonas Blanking - are also the key strengths of the men’s ski jackets and of the entire collection. It is not only a question of aesthetics, but of lines moving harmoniously with the skier’s body, of garment structures conceived for movement and comfort and of material combinations carefully designed to offer the maximum thermal, breathable and water repellent performance. The innovation of the collection, regarding the padding of the man and woman’s Alessio and Alessia down jackets, is the use of a blend of feather wadding, Dowblending by Primaloft, which offers an even greater performance than pure feathers, maintaining thermal comfort even when the garment gets wet. Among the materials of the Skichic collection, what stands out is the innovative Thermocore padding (already successfully tested for

Please introduce yourself. My name’s Veronika Velez-Zuzulová, I’m a Slovakian alpine skier and started skiing when I was three years old. I started skiing in my country when I was a child and decided to become a pro when I was 14, after winning the Topolino Trophy, which is a sort of world ski championship for children. From that moment, I started my professional career. What is your first memory of this sport?I don’t remember much about my first time, but I remember that I was with my father who was a trainer of the Bratislava team at that time. I was always surrounded by young skiers and we would often come to Austria to train as in Slovakia we had fewer opportunities and structures. It all started like this. When you participated in the Topolino Trophy, would you have expected to have this much success and all that followed?I had heard a lot about the trophy; I knew it was very important and it was incredible to see how many people there were at the awarding ceremony. I raced in the Slalom three times, and at the fourth, I arrived second and then won the GS. My father immediately knew that I was rather good and so we decided to change and the effort to become a professional was worth a try. That trophy also represented your first bond with Italy.
Correct, other victories followed that trophy and my very important relationship with Vist began. I’ve always wanted to wear special apparel for my races and what is most important is that I can choose it. Vist gave me this possibility and we have been closely collaborating now for many years. Is there any particularly significant moment, or even difficult moment, that you have gone through in your career?I think it was my comeback after the injury. I had to stay at home for six months without skiing. I couldn’t have imagined that it would have been so hard, and so my recovery was marked with many difficult moments, sweat and tears. But in the end, it was all useful and I was happy with the results. What is your dream for your career?I have many dreams. Now I love what I am doing and I have precise goals for the World Championship. I would like to win again. I also have other dreams for the future! We’ll see what happens. What are your personal goals? My personal goal is to have a family.Do you have an idol, a reference athlete you admire, take inspiration from or has inspired you more than others? No, I don’t.Any good luck rite? Any gesture that you perform before beginning a race? No, but I always wear the same garments under my racing outfit.

No, non ne ho.E qualche rito scaramantico?
Cosa ti appassiona dell’Italia oltre a Vist?
Obviously, I wash them first! If you could express what you feel when you ski in words, which words would you choose?I’d say that to be honest, skiing is not as fun as it used to be. I mean, I have been skiing for many years and the things I enjoy for sure are the races and knowing that at the end of the track I find my fans cheering for me. Winning a race is a priceless emotion. One day, if I will have my own family, I’m quite sure that I’ll experience other unique emotions.
What I feel when I win a race, though, is beyond compare.Do you feel you are a reference point, a leader also in your Country?Alpine skiing has surely become more popular in Slovakia than in the past years. Everyone wants to see the races when they are on national TV. I know I have many followers, and this is fantastic. What do you like most about Italy besides Vist?I love coming to Italy to ski, most of all in South Tyrol, a wonderful place
with amazing tracks, and I really love Italian food. Are there any other places in Italy with which you have a special connection? There are many Italian cities that I love, especially Florence. I remember spending a new year’s eve there with my husband and I really liked it. I also really like fashion and consequently all the Italian fashion cities. I love the way Italians dress, for me they are always a source of inspiration. How did your collaboration with
VIST begin? Do you have a favourite product?Vist has been my sponsor for many years. I remember when they offered their products; I obviously accepted and was very happy because I always wanted something unique and special and to freely choose my own apparel, they did not impose any selection. My favourite product has always been the outfit that I choose for the races. With Vist apparel I feel very comfortable and this is the main thing.

Please introduce yourself.I’m Aleksandr Viktorovich Khoroshilov, I come from Kamchatka and am a Russian Alpine ski racer. For years, I have raced in all types of ski sport disciplines, but only since
I started concentrating on slalom, I finally found my direction, a sort of second youth. So even the first real victory came with many other important podiums. In Planai in Schladming, in the World Cup.
An indescribable joy. What are your goals?Increase my speed obviously, even if it is not always possible. It also depends on the snow conditions. However, it is also important to have fun, always. Does your Country pressure you with regards to your career? No, absolutely no pressure. Even in Sochi, it was a pleasure and honour. It did not go well but I am not disappointed because I think that things occur at the right moment and times cannot be hurried. After the Games, I retrospected and decided to concentrate on slalom because I understood that I could only do one
thing well at a time! How old is Khoroshilov today and for how long can we expect to see him on the tracks?I’m 32 years old. I love skiing and hope to do it as long as possible. And, what’s more I have just started winning, so it will be a while before I retire! You’ve just become a father for the second time. You are often far from your family, how hard is it?I really miss my family and my children, but we talk every day through Skype or Facetime. My wife sends me at least ten pictures every day! I’m very happy. Surely, I have to be very patient.

What is your relationship with Italy?I am always happy to come to Italy; the people are very kind and, not to mention, food is always excellent. It’s nice to be here. How is your relationship with Vist?I am very happy with Vist. Typical to say but now I am more focused on the race because the racing suit is the best, and I have no other problems to worry about. For three seasons you got closer to reaching the international podiums.
How do your fellow citizens see you?Interest for skiing is increasing in Russia, today they recognise me, not because of me really but because of the Winter Olympics in Sochi. People now love this sport and are readier and eager to practice it. You also have many Italian supporters and fans.I take this opportunity to thank them and the entire Vist team for our collaboration. It’s really great to ski with their products.

Come ti vedono i tuoi connazionali?
I try to imagine the race, concentrate and think positive. Is there something you always wear?I usually wear the same socks on every race day and the same cap! What advice would you give the new generation of young skiers? To succeed in this sport you need a lot of patience and hard work. At times, there are moments when you want to give up, but you have to go on. With disciplines like Super-G and Downhill, it is always possible to improve and overcome fear.

Please introduce yourself. My name’s Albert Popov, I’m 19 and come from Bulgaria. I started skiing when I was two years old. I can’t remember that moment, but I know that I was with my mother and surely it was beautiful. My first memory goes back to when I was 5 years old, during my first race. I won my first award and I remember that I wanted to feel that same emotion again and
again every day. I like the mountains, snow, fresh air that blows through you when you ski and everything that is related to this environment. When did you understand that you could have become a professional?I realised I had a chance of becoming a professional when I won the Topolino Trophy. I won with a two seconds advantage. I realised that I wanted to make skiing my life and keep it that

way forever. I was more or less 16 years old. What are your personal and professional goals?I think that every ski racer’s first goal is the Olympic gold. And I also really want it, but I know there is a lot of work to be done. My personal goal for this year is the Junior World Championship. I want to win a gold
medal and I think I can do it. I would also like to earn more points in the European Cup and possibly in the World Cup.Which is your favourite skiing discipline? My favourite discipline is Slalom, but in the last days, I did pretty well in GS. In the last two years, I didn’t ski in Super G or Downhill. I need a
few more kilos to practise these two disciplines. What drives you to get up every morning and go skiing? The driving force comes from the will to improve, push my limits further and find a way to be always faster than others. How do you prepare yourself for a downhill race?
Before a race, I usually listen to music and try to think positive. I want to be calm and concentrate on the downhill track. I do not perform a rite every day, but I always concentrate on being aggressive going downhill. Naturally, I do some mental as well as physical training. Is there an athlete you particularly admire?
I have great respect for many athletes, but I don’t have a specific idol. In a certain way, they are all idols, and I also want to beat and be better than them. Do you practice any other sports besides skiing?Yes, I’ve always been very athletic. I surf and do other sports. I like the snow but also like the ocean, being in
the mountains and on the beach.Do you have a goal related to your national team and Country?I would like to be an example for other young people and raise the level of Bulgarian skiers, as in Bulgaria we do not have many qualified professionals. I would like to see more young people devoted to this sport. How has your life changed after last year’s accident that involved you and your trainer, and which resulted in his death? It was pretty hard. My trainer was
amazing. He was always smiling. Today I am okay; I didn’t have any mental problems. For me the most difficult part was standing up, walking again and then skiing. It was very hard, but now I am okay and ready to give my best.Has your perspective of life changed a little?Yes, today I am more positive. I mean, one second you are here and the next you are gone. Being aware of this changes your approach towards life. What do you like about Italy?
Regarding Italy the first thing I can think of is the food, it’s really great. I have some good memories of the Topolino Trophy. The people are amazing, the slopes are fantastic. It’s a pretty cool country and the culture is great. How long have you been cooperating with Vist? We’ve been cooperating for three or four years. I like the apparel and the products very much, they are very warm and the design refined. It’s great to ski with Vist.

In Polynesia, in the middle of the
Pacific Ocean, there is a very
small state. It is a constitutional monarchy,
governed today by Tupou VI, crowned king in
2012. Approximately 750 square kilometres,
with no rivers or lakes, where the highest
point on the island is Kao - a stratovolcano
rising over 1,030 meters. The tropical ocean
climate is characterised by average annual
temperatures ranging around 22° C. About
103,000 of the population is spread out
on 53 of the 173 islands that this country
comprises. The capital city of this country is
Nuku’alofa, and its name is the Kingdom of
Tonga. The national sport is rugby, followed
by soccer. The only Tongan who ever rose on
the podium of the Olympic Games, in 1996
was the boxer, Paea Wolfgramm, Super
Heavyweight silver medal at the Summer
Olympic Games in Atlanta. In 2014, at the
XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Tonga
surprisingly also made its debut in a winter
sports, with the luger Fuahea Semi, aka
Bruno Banani. The enthusiasm that arose
from this endeavour, in the summer of
that same year, drove King Tupou to found
the Royal Tonga Ski Federation, which
immediately recruited its first athlete to be
trained in view of the XIII Winter Olympic
Games in Pyeongchang. As already done
in the past with the Ghanaian athlete,
Kwame Nkrumah Acheampong, Vist seized
this enthusiasm and incredible challenge,
becoming the technical sponsor in Tonga’s
adventure. The difficult targets, like dreams
that never seem to come true, are in fact
for Vist the inspiration to look out for, as
they keep the flame burning and nourish
the desire to think big. Helping those who
face life with the same attitude is therefore
a natural consequence of this spirit. More
than once, minor league athletes sponsored
by Vist, with few chances “on paper”, have
reached important podiums, demonstrating
that courage, hard work and excellent
equipment can overcome any obstacle. For
Kasete Skeen, the top Tongan athlete, and his
companions, even the road to Pyeongchang
is long, stretching beyond the palm trees,
through beaches of golden sand and the
entire Ocean. But the dream of putting the
snow in the hearts of the Tongan people is
becoming reality. Every day it becomes more
concrete, track after track, on the snows of
the Fiemme Valley - partner of the project -
where these athletes enthusiastically train.
The adventure has begun and,
wearing Vist skis, once again it will
be a fantastic story.

In Polinesia, in mezzo all’Oceano Pacifico, c’è uno Stato piccolo piccolo. KaseteSkeenI’ve got snowunder my skin.
Please introduce yourself. My name is Kasete Skeen, I am a skier and I want to represent my country, Tonga, for the first time ever, at the next winter Olympic Games. How did your skiing career begin?I first skied when I was 12 years old, on a school trip to Austria. I learnt very quickly but then, growing up in London, chances of practicing this sport were few. After moving, a long time went by before I was able to wear a pair of skis again.
I have to thank my girlfriend, Anna, and her family because they convinced me to start skiing again in Sweden, their country, and they made me love and enjoy this sport once again. What is the first thing you recall related to skis, and what are your feelings when you ski?I remember my first instructor. She was a lovely woman and the first thing she told me was that I had to grow up (laughs). She told me that I had to get used to getting up after every fall, and then learn not to fall again. What I love about skiing is the commitment that I make to reach the limits of my abilities. Admitting my fears, knowing what they are before accepting them and then overcoming them. If a child were to say: I would like to ski but I am a rather insecure person, what would you answer?I would ask him, ‘Have you ever been to the top of a mountain to see the world from above? If you dream of the emotion of downslope skiing,

feeling the wind blowing on you, feeling the force of nature all around you, then skiing can be a wonderful way to live this emotion’.How did your collaboration with VIST start? My relationship with VIST occurred last summer. The company gave me all the apparel and equipment necessary to start training with Hermann, my trainer. What does VIST mean for you and your career?VIST has given me the possibility to make my dream come true. It is a small company, and I think it is fantastic to work in a similar environment, because it’s like being a family. You become a part of it and you never feel lost.Is there something of your Country that you carry, or that you would like to always carry, with you? I always wear a necklace with an endless knot, a present from my brother who is very important for me. It is a very common symbol in Tonga, but you can also find it on other Polynesian islands
and even in New Zealand. I always wear it,even while I ski.How is your life today compared to your lifebefore ski racing? My life is completely different. Before I used to work as a musician or in theatres, in the field of opera productions. Musicians always tend to go to bed late, because they are busy in concerts, parties or other events, and consequently get up late in the morning. Now, on the contrary, I wake up very early to train and also go to bed very early. My life needs discipline and I must pay attention to my physical conditions. You worked as a musician. How importantis music in your life today?Music is everything. Some say they are tone-deaf and cannot sing. But even when you speak, to be honest, you choose a voce tone, a rhythm, what in truth is a musical language. If I were to compare skiing with something pertaining to music, I would
say that it is a dance, obviously musical. You have to know how to handle the movements, but even the emotions. In addition, playing an instrument and skiing both have in common the need for discipline. I love repeating the same steps over and over again to improve. To change your life you have also had to change your job. Have you ever thought it was a folly?People thought it was, at least in the beginning. The targets were far out of reach, but then slowly they began to take shape and even my friends began to strongly support me. Their encouragement has been fundamental, as I had not skied for so many years. I am still relatively inexperienced, so the love from my family and friends are important in helping me fulfil this project. What are your personal and professional targets?I would like to participate in the Olympics representing the Kingdom of Tonga, in a sport

INTERVISTA A
Kasete SkeenI’ve got snowunder my skin.
Hai lavorato come musicista.
disciplinati. Amo molto ripetere continuamente gli
stessi passaggi per potermi migliorare.
Per cambiare vita hai dovuto cambiare anche
lavoro.
a sostenermi moltissimo.
Amo mixare basso
insegnando molto su come è possibile prendersi cura
that has never been represented by my country. I would like to use this to inspire others: if you look beyond the limits of your cultural background anything is possible, just like skiing is for a Tongan citizen. Personally, I love the mountains and snow. I want to do my best to ski as much as possible, anywhere.
Is there a rite, a gesture or something you regularly perform before a race?I have an App on my phone for mixing music just like a deejay. I love to mix bass and drums before going on track. What would you like to take back to your Country?Up to this moment, I have paid great attention to
my diet and wellness. In Tonga there are many problems due to poor diets and diabetes. The average life expectancy is decreasing also due to poor diet and life conditions. This experience is teaching me a lot on how to take care of yourself and your health, and I hope to be a good example for my fellow Tongans.

THE DREAMCATCHERPablo Vicentini creates images to create poetry.
His drawings are a ritual made of sheets of paper, pencils, ink and coffee. His gesture is creative, instinctive and momentary, quick and deep. His touch - precise but undefined at the same
time - surprises the essence, the present moment. He’s a dreamcatcher. Like a very few people.
Paolo Vicentini was born in Capri (Modena, Italy). At a very young age he moved to Milan to attend the Istituto
Europeo di Design, where he graduated with full marks. They immediately scouted his innate talent and, once he
entered the publishing world, he started to draw covers of several novels and niche magazines published by Mondadori, Studio Baroni, Feltrinelli, Sperling & Kupfer, Frassinelli and Lo Specchio (La Stampa). Along with his professional editorial
work, he successfully deals with advertising clients as visualizer for layouts and storyboards and as print image-
maker with personal post-productions.
Pablo Vicentini è nato a Carpi (Mo).

It was a dark and stormy night when our Creative Director got an idea. Our collection was a dreamy and bold collection at the same time. There were two very beautiful women, ready to work with us. They were two Miss Czech Republic. It was winter. We longed for magic. We made two phone calls and got two positive answers. Perfect. We had to leave for Prague. That was its birth, like a snowflake on a sunny day: the idea to create a small work of art, to tell the story of the Snow Leopard Collection 2017/18. This Vist Collection has always been super feminine and dynamic and it was the most suitable to be interpreted and transformed into a real story, a fabulous story, suspended between photography and design, set in a fascinating and mysterious city, precisely like a Snow Leopard woman. The animalier theme, which has always been the leitmotiv of the collection, is represented this year by elegant butterflies flying among flowers and icy drops. And we channelled this flight to the capital city of the Czech Republic, the Golden City, the Mother of Cities, listed among the UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1992, thanks to its marvellous city centre. It is a gothic, yet modern city,
ancient yet contemporary, a timeless place able to conquer your heart; it was the ideal location for the works of the photographer Alberto Aliverti, of the Milan Photography Studio Whiterobot, and of the artist Pablo Vicentini. The camera of the former and the design of the latter, coordinated by our Creative Director, Luca Franceschini, eternalized Prague, the new Snow Leopard Collection and the two Vist testimonials Andrea Bezděková, Miss Czech Republic 2016, and Kristýna Kubíčková, Miss Earth Czech Republic 2016, in a completely new and original way for the fashion sector. The result was the birth of an auteur novel, perfect to tell the story of this collection, which made a name for itself on the market, thanks to its novelty and the artistic stamp of its artwork, and became an outfit which the Snow Queens of the entire world love and desire. Vist has always enjoyed a privileged relationship with the Czech Republic: it was a sponsor of the Czech National Team and it appeared many times on the uniforms of the Czech athletes on the most important podiums of the world, like in 2007 on the occasion of the victory of Šárka Záhrobská in the Åre slalom race. Thanks to this lucky cooperation,

Vist is extremely appreciated in the Czech Republic, where the market pays attention both to the technical features, in particular of the ski-bindings and plates, and to the refinement and beauty of the ski items of clothing. The unique features of the Snow Leopard Collection - furs, Swarovski, feathers - thrill Misses too. This is the reason why Vist has been cooperating for years with Czech top models, as Andrea Verešová, and with the winners of the national beauty contest. During the photo shooting held in Prague, on December 21st-23rd 2016, Vist took the opportunity to celebrate with an amusing
event held in the heart of the city, right on the set of the shooting. Vist celebrated its twenty years of success and its continuous growth in the markets of Eastern Europe. Pablo Vicentini, who signs its artworks as Pablo V., was immediately renamed Pavlov by the Czechs, and he did not miss the opportunity to use its pen to depict, one after the other, the journalists and the international celebs attending the party, with an incredible irony and mastery. For all of them, that was a truly unforgettable memory of this important birthday of Vist. A. C. (Plus)

A. C. (Plus)
What was the source of inspiration for the Snow Leopard Collection 2017/18?This year, the source of inspiration was an idea: Snow Leopard, from the Alps to the Himalaya. The butterfly theme came as a natural derivation of the image of the feminine skier, who seems to fly on the ski slope. The flower as a synonym for femininity and grace. Highlighted by an elegant and refined colour palette of grey tones. Also the leopard spot has completely changed its look. The leopard spot, the ever-present key theme of the Snow Leopard Collection, in the 2017/18 collection becomes a light icy drop, suspended in the air: an amusing motif which interprets the leopard fur in a completely new way. Some processing details? Some butterflies are made in flocked material. The wing basis is designed
as if the snow had fallen on the wings. Obviously, this effect cannot be perceived if you simply print it, so we created a flock pattern to highlight the white colour on the wing contour. Then we emphasized the butterfly body through the application of Swarovski crystals. How did you create such a complex design? We developed the design starting from a hand-made sketch of the basic grey flower. Then we added the leopard spots and, only in the end, the butterflies.Flowers and butterfly seem to never touch each other. This is true. The open flowers never touch the butterflies. In this way, they seem to be hovering in the air with lightness. It is a homage to the Snow Leopard queens, who move down the ski slopes with grace, as in their everyday life.

SNOW IS THE NEW
BLACK.The snow line connects
AreaSana and Vist, two companies
having in common the same land of origin and the same reference point. AreaSana has opened a new wellness era: the age of snow and snowellness. In the AreaSana SnowRooms it snows all year round, anywhere in the world, from the sea to the desert, to the metropolitan city centre. A dream for all those who want to enjoy the many benefits of dry, pleasant and delicate cold weather. It is a known fact that alternating hot and cold on the body and mind has a positive effect. After a relaxing sauna, to reactivate the body, release energy and boost the spirit, for years traditional
wellness has offered only humid cooling solutions, for example, cold showers or ice massages. Today, in an AreaSana SnowRoom soft dry snow delicately and pleasantly lowers the body temperature, and at the same time pampers the spirit with a cocoon-like, pure-white environment. Vist celebrates AreaSana’s snowellness with the beauty of its new sweater collection, perfect for any type of cold weather, whether in a SnowRoom or on arduous tracks. Colors and geometries that shape the body and in strong contrast with the pureness of the background, recall the themes of the outfits where care is given to every detail, from skin to snow. Underneath is Dryarn underwear, a true technological second
skin. Seamless, hypoallergenic, ultralight and highly breathable, it gives a feeling of comfort that goes with you everywhere. Or one can opt for a soft touch Lycra T-neck and roll neck, colored or embellished with refined details. On top is a full zip sweater, with matching or contrasting colored zips and customised pullers. Made of a new yarn with greater performance, ultra stretch and very fast-dry, breathability is at the maximum levels thanks to a weave that captures air and retains heat without withholding the humidity particles.Vist wellness, AreaSana snowellness. For men and women born in the snow age and who find their preferred environment in the cold and white.

dinamico e appassionato come quello dello
prodotti sono certificati TÜV e rispettano
le norme nazionali e internazionali DIN/
ISO 9465 e DIN/ISO 9462.
sistema Vist Speed-System, facile e veloce
da regolare, ideale anche per il rental,
e all’attacco Light 29, leggerissimo ma
estremamente stabile anche con pesi ridotti.
Come evoluzione del modello Pro Athlete,
primo attacco realizzato da Vist nel
2003 e sempre attualissimo grazie alle
personalizzazioni consentite dai PIN del
sistema SpeedLock e dai componenti
intercambiabili (copertura puntale, copertura
leva, skistopper e AFD/DIR-sistema FREE),
The same care given in terms of safety and
design is guaranteed both for Vist labelled
products and for other renowned private
labels to which the company complies with
flexibility, speed and freedom to customise
colors, even for small quantities.
For the 2017/2018 season, product
research and development carried out by
Vist Tech - one of the only five ski binding
producers in the world - created the new
fast and quick-to-adjust Vist Speed-
System, perfect for rental, and the Light 29
binding, very light weighted but extremely
sturdy even with light loads.
As an evolution of the Pro Athlete model,
the first binding made by Vist in 2003
and still very up-to-date thanks to the
customisations allowed by the PINs of the
SpeedLock system and interchangeable
components (toe cover, heel cover,
skistopper and AFD/DIR-FREE system), Vist
Tech has studied a new racing binding with
springs, stopper and covers which are even
more resistant to stresses and have already
been chosen by World Cup athletes for
their next sports challenge. In the end, with
the evergreen Snow Plates and the new
Snow Plate Double, Vist also accompanies
many international top class snowboard
athletes. With Vist Tech, the cutting edge of
technology is always one track ahead.

materiality of wood for all
ski cores, the durability of
the surfaces, the continuous
search for a distinctive and bold
style that combines technical
materials such as carbon
with speed-proof dynamic
graphics that clearly stand
out even at a distance and in
full motion on track. In Vist,
every ski collection is pure
sports talent and advanced
performance that never forget
the beauty of design. Each year,
a totally artisanal production
creates a new collection of
skis, mainly made in Italy, able
to satisfy the needs of every
skier, from the beginner to
the more competitive athlete,
and perfectly match the Vist
apparel and accessories of the
same collection.
The innovative and thrilling
heart of the 2017/2018 ski
collection is the Ventinverni
model which celebrates
Vist’s twenty years of
activity. Ventinverni, which
uniquely combines the natural
fascination of aged larch
and the modern shades of
Texalium, perfectly represents
the Skichic philosophy and
cannot go unnoticed by the
lovers of Italian design. An
allround and timeless classic
ski, with lines and materials
which make it the top ski of the
collection, it is matched with
the men and women’s outfits
from the apparel capsule
bearing the same name. The
Revolution Carbon is more
aggressive and young thanks
to both its aesthetic and skiing
style and a totally carbon
surface: its particular tapered
shape - like the orange and
black Revolution 2.0 model -
with a reduced radius in the
front part for very short turns
and a GS ski radius in the rear
part, makes it a “rodeo” ski,
very playful yet challenging and
therefore suitable for those
who love to ride the snow with
dynamism and great power.
For women, the Vist sports
glamour imprint finds its
expression in two very light
and stable models: the Skichic
skis, with a simple cut in
Light lime, Fuchsia and Deep
Ocean, and the Snow Leopard
model, which reproduces
the exotic spot, flower and
butterfly pattern of the apparel
collection bearing the same
name. Once again with the
matching colors and graphical
lines of the ski apparel and
accessories collection, in the
Sport collection the allround
Settantatre, the all mountain
Ottanta7 and the new edition
of the Italia race carve with
the colors of the Italian flag,
stand out. Instead, the special
high performance Saslong skis
in soft and sturdy Titanal, the
wood and fibreglass Tretre
skis, harder and more reactive
to snow, and the women’s
light, durable and scratchproof
Tofana skis, all celebrate the
names of famous Italian World
Cup tracks.
To complete the Vist
2017/2018 ski collection:
the Scuderia collection,
designed for ski instructors
and competitive athletes of
ski clubs from 14 years of age
on, including the SL, GSR and
RC models; two junior race
models; the GS RACE+ and GS
RACE- models, available in two
hardnesses, with a contrasting
design and the number 17.5
written on them to remember
not only the length (175 cm)
but also the turning radius
(17.5 metres); to conclude, a
limited edition collection for
downhill and super G skiers.

The wood core of Vist skis, in
combination with different wood
types, determine unique features
for each model like the bending
radius and hardness.
The sintered base guarantees
perfect fluidity and maximum
resistance to abrasion. The ultra-
light metals, on the other hand,
enhance an optimal adherence
to the ground and control in the
change of directions.
HighlightsPer un brand di tradizione legato al
mondo race degli atleti professionisti,
la prestazione tecnica è un must
assoluto, supportato da costanti
ricerche anche in settori non legati al
mondo dello sci, come l’aeronautica
e l’automobilismo, e da un processo
produttivo fortemente artigianale:
per realizzare uno sci Vist, nel
tradizionale sistema a sandwich o
semicap, sono necessari circa 400
movimenti manuali.
Tutti gli sci sono concepiti per
garantire la massima funzionalità,
in abbinamento a diversi sistemi di
piastra e attacco per adattarsi alle
esigenze tecniche e alle abilità di
ogni sciatore. L’anima in legno degli
sci Vist, in combinazioni diverse di
essenze, determina per ogni modello
caratteristiche uniche come il raggio
di curva e la durezza. La soletta
sinterizzata garantisce una perfetta
scorrevolezza e la massima resistenza
alle abrasioni. I metalli ultra leggeri

All models are available in the Europa fit and Middle East fit, the latter suitable for typically Asian facial contours.
