REFLECTIONS BY THE PRINCIPAL

‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever; its loveliness increases it will never pass into

nothingness.’

This profound statement by the eminent poet John Keats envisions beauty as one which breaks

free from the realm of mere physical beauty to encompass natural objects, meditation, sweet

dreams etc. Beauty though manifested in various forms is a perennial source of joy and peace

which lingers much after the experience is over.

Education itself is a beautiful and enlightening process which leaves an indelible imprint on

young minds. Of course, there is no denying the fact that learning is life-long; and this thought

has forever been the School‟s guiding light for nurturing the students.

Our young learners from the primary and pre-primary classes experienced the beauty of divinity

and oneness with nature as they embarked on their trips to places of worship and natural beauty.

Tranquility, harmony with nature and the experience of rejuvenation and invigoration were

moments of profound beauty and enlightenment for the young learners. The values inculcated by

the School are markedly conspicuous in our assemblies, events and competition which from a

part of the School‟s schedule.

There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with

education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of

learning.

since then. With over 300 short stories, novels and essays to his credit, eminent

narratives, impeccable story telling skills and his narrative style.

Ratna Sagar Publications organised an

interactive session with the celebrated

writer on 27 September, 2013 at the

Islamic Centre. The august gathering included Principals and academicians from

eminent schools and organisations who had a tete- a- tete with the writer himself.

The session which was attended by Ms Ruchi Joshi and Ms Ritu Sachdeva was a

platform to comprehend and revel in the thrills and travails of a writer.

The session began with a presentation showcasing the famous works of Ruskin

Bond followed by his address to the audience wherein he threw light on his

narrative style, his inclination towards writing children‟s books and the need to

improve reading skills.

The session brought to light important issues like tapping young talent for writing

and the indispensable role of reading in facilitating the appreciation of Literature.

The icing on the cake was the excerpt from Bond‟s forthcoming novel which was
