An observation guide for the classroom visit
Name of the school: F. bangoy national high schoolSchool address:Date of visit:
The community or neighborhood of the F. Bangoy National highschool is F. Bangoy Elementary school. It is near to the street or hi-way, wherein it is easily to locate or recognize.
The school campus itself is small, crowded, it is not that clean, beautiful because they don’t have the initiative to beautify their school to make it more presentable to the visitorsas well as to the students and to the teachers. In order to caterall the students they build new building for it.
When passing by the offices my first impression is “speechless” because even though they don’t collect tuition fees to the students but then they are trying to make their offices more comfortable for the parents and visitors. It is fully airconditoned and clean even though they cannot beautify the school at least the office is presentable.
Looking at the hall, I see some students who are not entering their respective room as if they don’t care if their classes start and the library has a lot of book that can provide the students learning.

Your analysis
. How do the school campus and classroom in particular impact on the learning of the students going to school? What are your conclusion? The school campus and the classroom are seems to have a great impact to the learning of the students because some of the students will not listened to their teacher because of their uncomfortable area. If the school campus is clean as well as the classroom it will somehow mitigate the irritation of the students.
. How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ how does this relate to your knowledge offacilitating learning? In facilitating learning I have also to consider the
learning style of my student and their multiple intelligences.
Your reflection
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not?Yes, because it somehow make me challenge on how to handle such students like them I will teach them on how to become more conscious on their environment and what is the real essence of education.
2. What kind of school campus is conductive to learning? The kind of school that is conductive for learning is the campus who is imposing strictly their cleanliness of the school and it is presentable.
3. What kind of classroom is conductive to learning? The kind of classroom that is conductive for learning is a room which is comfortable for the students and to put some wall displays that is full learnings.
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?If I will given a chance to accomplish my answer in number 3I will put some educational materials that will help the students to gain more knowledge and good moral as well.
5. Write your additional learnings and insights here.Let the learners accomplish meaningful task and to participate in learning experience in which they can succeed.

Your reflections
1. While you were observing the learner’s, did you recall your own experiences when you were in their age? What similarities or differences do you have with the learnersyou observed?
The things that I can recall when I was observing the learners is that I keep on chatting with my friends even
though the classes is still going on but when the teachercaught us, I prefer to listen to my teacher before she get mad at me.
2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How did she/he help you with your needs{physical, emotional, social cognitive}? How did it affect you?The teacher that I cannot forget is Mr. Bonifacio Pajarillo because in terms of emotional aspects he teach me how to become independent , how to interact with otherpeople with good values and keep on reminding us that even a largest task can be done one step at a time.
3. This is your favorite theory of development. How can thisguide you as a future teacher?
My favorite theory of development is emotional development and physical development why? Because throughthis when I get into the emotion of my students the lesson will somehow retain to their mind and it will lessen the noisy among the class. Physical development because while getting into their emotions. I will also have some activities in order for them not to become bored.
4. Share your insights here.
As what I see the students are really eager to learn something new with their teacher. They are attentive andfocus on their lesson even though the place is not conductive for learning.
Learner’s Characteristics
Name of the school: F. bangoy national high school
School address:
Date of visit:
As what I observed in the class the characteristics thatusually recognize is that they are just keep on talking to each other, some are talking to each other, some are texting and sleeping mostly they are in the range of 15-16 years of age.
They are already able to manage their own behavior when it comes on when their teacher is caught their attention because of their misbehaviour and there are some students who really have
time to listen attentively to their teacher.
High schooler’s are more independent In their works they can stand alone without depending to their parents. They are eager to listen even though there some hindrances but then they are just ignoring it because at the end of the day they are the one who will benefit from it.
Classroom visit

Date of visit:
As I enter the classroom of the baltazar and burgos, I
don’t even see such storage of teaching aids, or students belonging’s supplies that will somehow can be use in teaching they do have books but it is few.
As far as I remember I also even don’t see rules and regulation that is being posted in their room, I really don’t know the reason behind why they don’t have the room policies or they do have but they are not posted it.
Anyway , the daily routines done by the teacher is first prayer followed by the greetings, checking of attendance, recalling on the things that is being discussed before proceed tothe lesson proper after that the evaluation of the teacher they have sitting arrangement but I think it is not effective because they are just combine the girls from the boys wherein the noise will really distract those students who are listening to the class discussion, Mostly, of the teacher when they caught their students who are not listening they prefer to call it and go in front and answer the things that the teacher being discussed or having some oral recitation so that the students will be aware ontheir behaviour.

The effective way of managing the behavior of the learners is to give them some paper works it is effective because it can motivate them and this paper works will also help them in grammar and writing skills.
Your reflection
1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade/year level do you see yourself? What routines and procedures would you consider for this level? Why?
As I imagine myself organizing my own classroom in the future it make me challenge, I’m looking forward to handle 4 th year high school because I will prepare them of becoming college, the routines that I will considerfor this level is prayer so that they will god fearing, cleanliness in the classroom in order for them to become conscious with their environment, to have some games/activities that is relevant to the lesson.
2. Make list of the rules you are likely to implement in this level. Why would you choose these rules?
The rules that I an going to implement in this level are if you are absent you should present an excuse letter with a valid reason sign by the parents, 10 consecutive absent will considered drop, 15 minutes late is consider absent No I.D No Uniform, No shoes will have the a fines of 5php, this 5php will be use in beautifying the classroom, I prefer to choose this rules because I want that my students will have a self-discipline and time management.
3. Should learners be involved in making the class rules? Why?
Yes, the learners should be involved in making the rules because they will be the one to choose the rules so that it will not hear any feedback that they are not agree with the rules that I am imposing, so I will let my students to choose their rules that they may able to attain.

Episode 4
Individual Differences and learner’s Interaction
Observation report
Name of the school observed: F. bangoy national high school
School address:
Date of visit:
The interaction of the learners to their friends is more often than participating in a class discussion with their teacher these learners are usually at the back while those learners seated at the front they have more interaction with theteacher than the others, this learner are more eager to listen and to learn something new from the lesson.
The student who is more active are those who keep on raising their hands without hesitating if their answer is might be correct or wrong, and those students who need most for help are those the students who is shy type and they are usually men.
When the student is called and they may not able to answer the question of the teacher their co-classmates is keep onraising their hands so that the teacher will call them instead oftrying to help their classmates who don’t know the answer, at this you can really see the competition within the learners.
Out of the classroom they are group according to whom they are compatible with and they usually talk about their love life like (crushes, bf, gf) problems at home and in school , mostunforgettable moment, embarrassing and commonly for the boys online and lan games.
Your analysis
1. Identify the person’s who play key roles in the relationships and interaction in the classroom. What roles do they play? Is there somebody who appears to bethe leader, a mascot/joker, an attention seeker, a litter teacher, a doubter/pessimist?
Someone is standing as a leader when they do have activity as a whole, they also have a joker who makes them happy in good times.
2. Are students coming from the minority accepted or rejected by the others? How is this shown?
The students are come from the minority accepted group , it is shown the great foundation of their interaction to each others
3. How does the teacher influence the class interaction considering the individual differences of the students?
The teachers ensure that she/he may able to meet the needs of the students and considering the individual differences of the students.
4. What factors that influence the groupings of learners outside the classroom?
The factors that influence thegroupings of the learners outside the classroom is the bad influence of the environment around them and the things that they think is right.
Your reflection
1. How did you feel being in that classroom? Did you feel sense of oneness or unity among the learners and between the teacher and the learners?
When I was in the classroom observing them I feel the sense of unity among the learners and the teacher, they are cooperating to each other for their benefits.
2. In the future how would you want the learners in your classroom to interact? How will you make this happen?
I will encourage them to ask questions right after the discussion if their something bothering to them, and to raise their hands when I throw a questions, and I will motivate them to participate.
3. How will you encourage all learners, regardless of religious, ethnic, or racial background, to interact and participate?
I will give them some sort of advice that interacting and participating in a class discussion will give them confidence to speak in front of people, a knowledge and high grades.
Observation report
Name of school Observed: F. Bangoy national high school
School address:
Date of visit:
The learners have different learning style there are some students who can learn a lot when the teacher is dictating, giving them task and these are the learner s who seem to be performing well and those students who is behind are those who keep on escaping from the class and who is not willing to listen to the discussion of the teacher.
The Teachers method in addressing the individual learning needs of the his/her students in the class is that the teacher will have different multiple intelligences that will somehow all of them can perform.
Your analysis
1. Did you observation match the information given by the teacher? Were you able to correctly identify who among the students performed well and who did not? What behavior helped you identify them? (volunteering answering, responding to the teachers direction etc.)
The behavior that helps me to identify those students who is performing well is when they voluntarily answer to the question given by the teacher and those who are not is they are not often responding to their teacher.
2. Describe the differences in ability levels of the students in the class. Is there a wide gap between the students who performing well and those that are not?
There is a wide gap between the students who are performing well because they are more advance and can easily cope up withthe lesson while those students who is not performing well they are slow learner.
3. Describe the methods used by the teacher in handling the student’s differences in abilities. How did the students respond to their teacher?
The teacher use different multiple intelligences in handling student’s who has different abilities and they respond to their teacher often.
Your reflection
1. Recall the time when you are in the elementary or high school. Recall the high and low achievers in your class. How
did your teacher deal with differences in abilities? Was your teacher effective?
The things that I remember during my elementary and high school days are that when there is high and low achievers in the class my teacher just call the attention of the parents and let him/her know the status of his/her children and somehow my teacher try to talk to them calmly.
2. With the principle of individual differences in mind, what methods and strategies will you remember in the future to ensure that you will be able to meet the needs of both high and low achievers in your class.
As future teacher, I will ensure that both of my students that is high and low achievers in my class would benefit in terms of my lesson. I will use strategies that somehow both of them can participate in the class, or I will have some activities in order for me to measure their capability in learning and also comprehension test.
