OUR VISION
To invest in the elds of manufacturing and rolling steel, enabling us to provide comprehensive solutions of dierent techniques for new and existing investments.
OUR MISSION
IN THE FIELD OF STEEL MANUFACTURING
Our new projects will introduce the most comprehensive solutions to the Middle East, ranging from preheated scrap charging systems and molding units, reaching a 100% compliancy with environment-friendly and national electricity network regulations. This comprehensive solution has proven its success all over the world in reaching anticipated goals of increasing productivity, scrap eciency, and saving energy.
IN THE FIELD OF ROLLING STEEL
The method of innite rolling gives a good example of how to save energy and increase scrap eciency while producing a product that meets international quality standards in mechanical properties. Concerning already established projects, development eorts focus on reducing production costs through applying latest eective technologies in saving energy and increasing production. Moreover, more equipment is added to help manufacture new measurements to increase market competence, all of this will be achieved under the supervision of leading companies in the eld.
Utilizing the most advanced technologies to maximize productivity and eciency from scrap while minimizing exerted energy within the least space of land.

Egyptian Steel is aware that the advancement of the steel industry in Egypt is on the top of its priorities, especially reinforcing steel, which represents a direct reection of the Egyptian economy through its production and consumption rates.
The Steel industry has suered before from a number of issues, mainly the unwise planning of factories and high energy consumption rates, putting those factories in a tight spot and leading them to face a shutdown once energy rates soar.
For this and other reasons, Egyptian Steel has a group of technical experts who own a clear vision of the mission on hand, which is constantly searching for the best global
technologies available, in order for our factories to reach the best production quality and achieve economical production values at the same time. R&D is an important section of our budget; this comes from our deep belief that development and research are an important component in maintaining the company's present and future success.
Of course, revitalizing the Egyptian economy is mainly based on our will to work and produce, once this will is available we can achieve our objective of securing investments necessary to achieve growth, this is why we have kept our will to develop the steel industry in Egypt, leveraging on our Egyptian-Qatari partnership,
realizing new investments, projects, and resources.
The phase objective now is for Egyptian Steel to reach a market share of 20% in the Egyptian steel market, with the ability to export quality products to various markets around the globe. This market share will put Egyptian Steel among the leading reinforcing steel manufacturers in Egypt.
Finally, the our belief in the power of will, determination, and dedication is the main conviction that unies our workers, in addition to applying social and capital justice are among our near-future aspirations that we are keen to achieve.
Ahmed Abou HashimaChairman and MD
The choices one makes are a reection of his beliefs. This statement is certainly true when it comes to our group’s decision to invest in Egypt and to invest now. We embarked on a series of co-investments in the steel industry alongside our Egyptian partners since early 2011. This timing coincided with the historic political transition that took place in this great country. While foreign and even some local investors were scrambling to relocate their capital outside Egypt, we were making nancial commitments to acquire our rst steel factory.
Our belief in the future of this country was and remains strong despite all the short-term turbulence and despite the political and nancial risks that are usually associated with a transition period. We believe that the potential for growth in infrastructure and labor-intensive projects has never been higher during the recent history of Egypt. It is these types of projects that contribute the most towards creating an improved business environment and create the largest number of job opportunities.
Our long-term view about Egypt is supported by many
promising indicators such as the country’s many preferential trade agreements, its highly competitive labor and utility costs, and the proximity to key markets. Our group has made a strategic decision to expand our exposure to the Egyptian economy in the heavy industries and even beyond. In short, we are here for the long haul. May god help this country get back on its feet and become the economic powerhouse that it is certainly capable of. We hope to play a small role in getting closer to this goal.
