Subject: Scheduling of 25 MW each from Farakka Stage – III & Korba Stage-III. Dear Sir, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India vide letters dated 09.12.2010 has allocated 75 MW power from Farakka Stage – III (500 MW) & 75MW from Korba Stage-III (500 MW) for sale of outside long term PPA. Presently, 50 MW power from Farakka Stage – III & 50 MW from Korba Stage-III is being supplied to the beneficiary State of Jharkhand, and balance 25 MW each from Farakka-III and Korba-III is being sold in Power Exchange. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has shown willingness to procure 25 MW each from Korba-III & Farakka-III for the period of five years. A copy of the PPA signed with GUVNL is attached here with. Therefore, it is requested that the allocation of power to Gujarat (GUVNL) from Farakka Stage – III (500 MW) and Korba STPS Stage-III (500 MW) may kindly be revised by the respective RPC and the above may be taken into account for scheduling/ preparing REA for Farakka STPS Stage – III/ Korba STPS Stage-III w.e.f. 00:00 hrs of 23.02.2021.
