Making a ChangeIn order to make a change to your legal document or policy, companies now require yourrequest in writing. Not only does it ensure accuracy, but it saves you time and allows youto make your request on your schedule, not ours. There are three convenient options:

ClaimsMany agencies teach their clients to report claims directly to the insurance company, butreporting a claim directly to their company that is just under or above you deductible canresult in an increase in your premiums. Our staff will be happy to discuss your claim, wewill then transfer you to the company's claim center. If your claim occurs after hours, on aweekend, or during a holiday, you can call your company directly. Your company claimnumber in on your policy.Questions About a Payment, Bill or PolicyMost of us have credit cards. If you have one and you have a question, you should call the credit card company, not the bank issuing the card. Our primary job is to help protect yourassets. Since the insurance company is responsible for billing, they will always direct youto the company for these questions.Payments Made at the OfficeOur agency will accept the required down payment on your account. However, we will notaccept your monthly payments. Please, mail your payment directly to your company or callthe company to see the quickest method of payment accepted over the phone. We canalso get you set up on an electronic funds withdrawal directly from your checking account,or give you the company website to pay online. Our agency will not take responsibility if apayment is lost in the mail or any bank late fees.Late PaymentsPlease note, if your insurance doesn't receive your payment by the due date on your bill,they will charge your account a late fee. Make every attempt to mail your payment inadvance of the due date to avoid any late fees or a lapse in coverage. Many carriers will notreinstate your policy if you payment is late. When we try to replace your coverage youcould be paying an increase in premium. -The Sava Team

AppointmentsAs you would with any of your professional advisers, please call to schedule anappointment prior to stopping into the agency. This will allow time to review your accountprior to your appointment and allows your account manager to block out ample time fromtheir schedule to address all of your questions. If you visit without an appointment, yourPersonal Account Manager could be assisting another client and may be unable to helpyou at that time. Donna YotherPresident of SAVA Insurance Group

Donna is a true industry success story: she began her career as areceptionist in 1985, and loves the insurance business right from thestart. Her passion made her eager to learn everything she could aboutthe insurance industry.

Donna was born & raised in Meriden, CT and currently lives in Niantic with her husband,Dave. She has three kids - Diana, Debbie & D.J. - and seven beautiful grandchildren. In herfree time, she loves yoga, boating, golfing, volunteering in the community, and spendingquality time with friends and family.

Today, she is the proud President of SAVA Insurance Group. Herfavorite part of her job is connecting with clients, learning about theirfamilies, and figuring out ways to help them directly or partner withthem in the community.

Debbie YotherVice President/Personal Lines Business Development Manager

Debbie has been with SAVA since we first opened our doors in 1998and has worked alongside her mother, Donna, and sister, Diana to growthe agency. Her first role at SAVA was processing paperwork, and shequickly rose to receptionist, customer service agent, and produce.Today, she is a Vice President and manages the business developmentof our personal lines. Her favorite part of her job is the opportunity shehas to meet new people, review their policies, and ensure that they areproperly covered, She loves being able to offer better coverage & alower premium at the same time.

Debbie grew up in Montville, CT but has resided in East Lyme for the past 20 years with herfour children - Zack, Ashley, Will, and David. In her free time, Debbie is committed tovolunteering and fundraising for several charities; she loves cheering her kids on at sportingevents, is learning to play golf, and enjoys boating.

Diana is an invaluable member of the SAVA Insurance Groupteam because she’s done it all in the insurance industry (it’s in herblood, after all). In 1999, she began working for her mother, Donna, as areceptionist at SAVA and continued to work her way up as a processor,personal lines account manager, commercial lines account manager,new business development manager, and eventually, Vice President.Her favorite thing about being SAVA’s Vice President is helpingcurrent clients solve problems, and building new relationships withprospective clients and in our community.

Diana grew up in Montville, CT and currently lives in Old Lyme. Family is of the utmostimportance to Diana. She has been married to her husband, Bill, for 26 years and is a proudmother to her two children, Jordan and Billy. She is personally committed to the growth ofmany non-profits in our community.
