1 Introduction This is the base set of release notes for Hyosung’s Branch Transformation Solution (BTS) NBS application software. These notes provide a high-level overview of the features and functions available in NBS, list the Hyosung product order numbers and the third-party software products that are, or can be, used with NBS.

NBS 02.00.56.00 and higher support Windows 10 in addition to Windows 7. All releases going forward will support both Windows 7 and Windows 10 until Hyosung drops support of Windows 7.

As patch level releases are issued for NBS, addendum documents will be issued that contain, at a minimum, a list of fixes, and may also include a list of enhancements and any known restrictions. These addendums will be attached to this base release notes document.

1.1 Audience This document is written for ATM network or financial institution personnel who are deploying NBS, as well as Hyosung Professional Services personnel who are supporting those deployments. In addition, anyone wanting to learn about NBS would benefit from reading selected sections of this document.

1.2 What’s New in NBS

1.2.1 Latest Release – 02.01.09.00 The following enhancements were added in this release. Refer to the addendum for additional information.

1. [GMNB-3022] Added the ability to automatically limit NDC/Foreign Card withdrawals to $1000.

2. [GMNB-3885] Updated cardless deposits to support code-based products and passcode entry for verification.

3. [GMNB-3930] Added the option to have ActiveTeller reviews automatically sent to the teller for on-us customer over-limit transactions and require a button press for foreign customers for questions or to cash a check. The ReviewForeignCustomers parameter in the NBS.xml file controls this behavior with the default being set to False, If it is set to true, foreign customers will be sent to ActiveTeller for reviews.

4. [GMNB-4010] Added support for 8200QTN and 8200QT terminals with a 19" monitor.

5. [GMNB-4023, GMSDK-40] Added the ability to suppress hardware fault message to host while in settlement mode. The parameter Mode.SendDeviceMessageInSettlement in the NHApplication.xml file suppresses faults to host when set to False. By default this is set to False.

6. [GMNB-4026] Changed the deposit denial flow to always return items before printing the denial receipt. If items are not taken, items will be retracted and the retained items receipt will print.

7. [GMNB-4032] Added the ability to display icons on the buttons on the card/cardless deposit screen.

8. [GMNB-4054] Updated the default EMV kernel to version 6 from version 5.

9. [GMNB-4078] Added support for the 7600DA/7600TA model screen definitions and voice guidance.

10. [GMNB-4080, GMSDK-57] Added payment type definition in the payment flow. Types are currently regular payment, interest payment only and principal payment only.

11. [GMNB-4180] Added overdraft support to the Silverlake core (jXchange).

2 Branch Transformation Solution Overview The Branch Transformation Solution is the next generation banking solution designed to move many of the routine branch transactions to the self-service channel but still allow individual customer assistance when required. BTS is made up of multiple products that can be used together to deliver a full branch banking solution, or selected products can be used separately when the entire solution is not required. The products within BTS are:

• NBS terminal application that is assistance-enabled for both tablets and teller workstations and that can support common branch transactions at non-branch locations and after branch hours.

• ActiveTeller tablet software that allows tellers the mobility to assist ATM customers in person within the branch.

• ActiveTeller workstation software that allows a teller to assist ATM customers from a local or remote teller workstation.

• ActiveTeller server which manages sessions and routes requests to all parts of ActiveTeller.

This document concentrates on the NBS application portion of the solution. For information about ActiveTeller, refer to the Branch Transformation System ActiveTeller Application Release Notes.

The NBS terminal application is based on the industry-standard Windows platform. NBS can use NDC messaging for transaction processing or non-NDC messaging, depending upon the customer’s requirements. Customizations may be required when interfacing to non-NDC hosts.

NBS includes all of the major capabilities and features expected in an ATM application including:

• Standard screen flow

• Advertising and branding

• Triple DES and remote key transfer (RKT)

• EMV support

• Deposit automation with Check21 support

• Voice guidance

• Electronic journaling and EJ upload

• TCP/IP communications with SSL

• Remote monitoring capability

• Enhanced supervisor display for replenishment and servicing

A number of the features listed above are discussed on the next several pages. All enhancements or features that are added to NBS in the future will be identified with the specific release number when they are added to this document.

2.1 Standard Screen Flow NBS includes a standard screen flow with high quality graphics for each transaction. The Main Menu screen is shown below. All transactions can be completed through the touch screen, including entering alpha-numeric information with an onscreen keyboard.

2.2 Advertising and Branding The NBS standard screens can be branded for each customer implementation though a combination of onscreen colors, backgrounds and text attributes (font size). Custom images, such as a custom card image for the Insert Card screen and a receipt image for the Take Receipt screen, can be included. A logo can also be added on the customer receipt.

The advertising feature allows you to display advertisements at various points within a transaction and to print coupons with receipts. This advertising implementation runs within the application itself and requires no changes to the host program.

Depending upon the terminal you have, you may have a marketing screen and a transaction screen for branding and advertisement or you may only have a transaction screen as listed below.

• Marketing screen:

• Horizontal 24” LCD screen on the MX8800 only

• Transaction screen only:

• MX8300D, MX8300I, MX8300T, MX7800D, MX7800IA, MX7800IR and MX7800T have a 19” LCD customer transaction screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768.

• MX8200QT, MX8200QTN and MX7800I have a 21.5” LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or 1080 x 1920 depending upon the monitor orientation.

• MX8200LV has a 32” LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920.

• MX8100QTN has a 15” LCD customer transaction screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768.

• Although monitor sizes vary slightly, a resolution of 1024 x 768 applies to all other MoniMax terminals supported by NBS including all variations of the MX7600, MX5700, MX5600, MX5300, MX5200 and MX5100T terminals.

2.3 Encryption and Remote Key Transfer (RKT) Support All Nautilus Hyosung ATMs that run NBS have Encrypting PIN Pads (EPP) that support Triple DES. All new terminals have keypads that are PCI 5.0 compliant and upgrade kits are available for most older ATMs to bring them up to PCI 5.0 compliance.

All NBS ATMs also support RKT, including the initial loading of the encryption keys onto the ATM. For hosts that require Message Authentication, both full and selective MACing are supported in NBS.

2.4 MoniGuard Drive Encryption Beginning in NBS 02.01.08.00, MoniGuard drive encryption has been added as a chargeable security feature. Drive encryption is a data protection feature that converts the data on the terminal's hard drive into a form that cannot be read without the correct password or key. A TPM chip is required in the terminal's PC core to support drive encryption.

2.5 EMV Level 2 Support NBS supports EMV Level 2 when the host includes EMV states in their download. All NBS terminals include EMV card readers which can also operate in non-EMV mode when required.

2.6 Deposit Automation NBS supports deposit automation through the inclusion of one of the following hardware configurations on the terminal:

• Cash and Check In Module (CCIM) – used for both cash and check

• Bill Recycling Module (BRM) for cash and CCIM for checks on selected terminals only

The following check and check image validation features are included in the NBS application:

• Software optical character recognition (OCR) and magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) codeline validation

• Configurable courtesy amount recognition/legal amount recognition

• Mod10 checking

• Configurable acceptance of Money Orders

To support Check21 functionality, NBS deposit automation is compatible with multiple check image processing packages. Refer to the Automated Deposit Processing Software section on page 11 for a list of compatible packages.

2.7 Voice Guidance (VG) NBS has implemented VG locally on the terminal through the use of XML files and text-to-speech software. NBS includes VG in both English and Spanish only by default using the AT&T Natural Voice Text-to-Speech software for Windows 7 and the Microsoft imbedded voices and software for Windows 10.

2.8 Multi-Language Support NBS supports English and Spanish by default both onscreen and on receipts. Additional languages can be supported onscreen only as a chargeable enhancement. Contact your Hyosung representative for more information.

2.9 Remote Monitoring NBS terminals can be remotely managed the same as any ATM. NBS includes the Hyosung MoniView MoniManager agents that can be used with the Hyosung MoniView or MoniManager server to monitor the ATMs and obtain problem reports, distribute graphic files and software updates, upload EJs, initialize devices and remotely reboot the terminal. SNMP is also supported.

2.10 Windows 10 Enterprise Support NBS 02.00.56.00 and higher support Windows 10 in addition to Windows 7. Prior versions of NBS ran on Windows 7 only, but because Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 in September 2015 and will end extended support in January 2020, Hyosung recommends moving away from the Windows 7 platform.

The hardware dependencies to run Windows 10 on a MoniMax ATM include:

• H81 or Q87 Control Electronics (CE)

• Minimum 4 GB memory, 8 GB recommended

Upgrade kits are available for most MoniMax ATMs to make them capable of running Windows 10. Refer to the Core Upgrade Kits section on page 10 for more information on the upgrade kits.

2.11 Settlement Enhancements NBS 02.00.64 and higher includes enhancements to make settling the terminal easier. These enhancements include an internal, transaction-level database file, which is automatically maintained on the terminal, and several, predefined settlement reports.

3 Hardware Requirements This section lists the Hyosung hardware on which NBS will run. This list will be updated as necessary. Generally, a Hyosung terminal can run NBS if it has a touch screen, proper core and enough memory.

Windows 10 requires an H81 or Q87 CE. Hardware upgrade kits are available to upgrade many of the Hyosung ATMs that have a 945 or G41 CE with the more common ones listed in the Core Upgrade Kits section on page 10. Contact your Hyosung sales representative for more information on upgrade kits and Hyosung ATMs in general. You can also refer to the Hyosung website at www.nhatm.com.

In addition, refer to the “Restrictions” section for your particular version of NBS at the end of this document for any additional hardware restriction related to your ATM models.

4 MoniPlus2 BTS Software Media and Consumables Ordering

4.1 Software Distribution Media The NBS software is provided on multiple CDs/DVDs/USBs as described below. Refer to the Branch Transformation Solution Software Installation and Configuration Guide for details on NBS software installation.

4.1.1 BIOS Upgrade CDs/USBs Several CE-specific CDs or USBs upgrade the BIOS on an H81, Q87, Mini Q87 and Q170 CE to the latest version.

4.1.2 Basic Media Package The BasicMedia package contains the Windows 7 or Windows 10 operating system, drivers and hot fixes required to support MoniPlus2.

4.1.3 MoniACT Package The MoniACT package contains the core drivers, service providers (SPs), firmware (EPs), Nextware, VDM and touch screen configuration software that supports of all of the devices on MoniMax ATMs. MoniACT also contains the bill template files required for the BNA and CCiM. MoniACT is the replacement for the Device Configuration package that was used in previous releases of NBS.

4.1.4 NHSecurity Package The NHSecurity package applies the OS hardening and security settings required for NBS.

4.1.5 Model-specific Windows 7 XFS Platform and Device Configuration Utility Software

MoniMax 5200 ATMs only still use the older software loading process that includes the Windows 7 XFS platform CDs and Device Configuration CD. This is currently the only exception for NBS.

4.1.6 MoniPlus2 Windows 7 Hot Fix Package – Optional The Windows7 Hot Fix package installs MoniPlus2-applicable .Net and Windows 7 hot fixes issued by Microsoft onto Nautilus Hyosung ATMs.

4.1.7 BTS Application Software Packages The NBS application software is provided on multiple CDs/DVDs/USBs and contains all the packages required to install the application on any terminal model. In addition to the NBS terminal application, the following software is also included, some of which is third-party software for which licenses are included if necessary:

• NHAgent – This package is required for ActiveTeller tablet or workstation integration with the terminal.

• AT&T Natural Voices – This package is required for English and Spanish voice guidance on Windows 7 only.

• Skype for Business Client – This package is used for Skype video support between the terminal and workstations. Cisco Calling is supported as an alternative to Skype.

• BeeHD Client – This package is used for Peer-to-Peer video support between the terminal and workstations. Cisco Calling is supported as an alternative.

• NetOp Server – This package is required for remote desktop support between the terminal and workstations and Windows tablets.

4.1.8 MoniPlus2 Windows Hot Fix Packages The Windows Hot Fix packages install MoniPlus2-applicable .Net and Windows 7or 10 hot fixes issued by Microsoft onto Hyosung ATMs depending upon the OS version of the hot fixes that you install.

4.1.9 Network-Specific Software Packages There are a number of software packages available that address the unique configuration requirements of individual networks and core processors.

4.2 Software Product Numbers This section contains a list of the software product numbers that you should use to order the MoniPlus2 BTS application software and optional software through your Hyosung representative.

4.4 Core Upgrade Kits Windows 10 requires an H81 or Q87 CE. The newer models such as the 7800 series and 5700 models are Windows 10 ready. If you have an older terminal, CE/memory upgrade kits are available for most other models.

5 Third-Party Software This section contains a list of mandatory and optional third-party software that is compatible with BTS. Refer to the Branch Transformation Solution ActiveTeller Hardware and Software Requirements document for third party software dependencies for ActiveTeller.

5.1 Automated Deposit Processing Software The following automated deposit processing software is compatible with NBS. This list will be updated as more packages are added:

A.1 NBS Release 02.00.00.00 Update Addendum Release 2.00.00.00 is the first generally available version of NBS release 2.xx. This section contains information about the 02.00.00.00 software including enhancements, fixes and restrictions.

A.1.1 Enhancements The following enhancements were added in this release.

1. Add new user interface for ATM application.

2. Update branding requirements to match new user interface.

3. Implement the operating mode feature and assign a default mode for each terminal. Terminals should be able to operate in one of three operating modes depending upon the terminal access offered during branch and non-branch hours:

• Standard mode – all self-service and all teller-assisted transactions are available at the terminal.

• Self-Service only mode – only transactions that do not require any teller assistance are available at the terminal.

Issue Description

GMNB-3435 An NBS flow issue caused the deposit amount to be used for the transaction amount for a deposit with cash back transaction. A customer deposited $5, attempted to get cash back greater than daily withdrawal limit on the card, was denied, enter a lesser acceptable amount. Machine dispensed that amount but only charged the $5. The bill mix information was not sent to the host. After the second enter amount, the application did not go through the proper process cashback flowpoint.

GMNB-3438 Check acceptance software (A2ia) read a $100.00 check as $8000.00 due to poorly written amount. Customer edited the amount and made it $100.00. Then customer edited amount again and made it $8000.00. Since the final check amount matched the initial amount read, a teller review was not required and the transaction was allowed to go through.

GMNB-3440 Visa and MasterCard Spanish screens for DDC were being displayed in English. Translations had not been included in the build but are there now.

GMNB-3443 VG did not voice receipt information for denied withdrawal, deposit and transfer transactions. Only Mini statement voiced out unsuccessful transaction receipt information. VoicePlayer was stuck in a loop due to not parsing some large numerical values with commas properly. Parsing was corrected.

GMNB-3454 Currency exponents were assumed to be 2 or 0. However some countries use 3 or even 4 numbers after the decimal place. Updated code for currency exponents of 3 and 4 in addition to 0 and 2.

GMNB-3456 When doing a cash/check payment with both cash and check at the same time, the total amount was calculated incorrectly. The check amounts were being counted twice.

GMNB-3460 VG - Cardless deposit transaction was voicing phone numbers as whole numbers and making no distinction between values on multiple screens, voicing like it was repeating.

GMNB-3465 Missing AID label name and display name on card caused the Select Application Identifier (AID) screen to show a blank button and a null character. It should have shown the AID.

GMNB-3813 Host was not receiving alerts from MoniView for check or cash deposit cassettes being Full, High, or Error when cash acceptor and check acceptor were configured to use CCIM (mixed media).

GMNB-3862 Set Denominations in supervisor was erroneously changing the values of the host note type mappings to match the cassette order not the configuration set by the user.

GMNB-3864 Balance for wrong account printed on receipt for a declined transfer. Balance for declined account due to lockout flag printed for 'transfer from' account.

GMNB-3873 On a multiple check deposit, NBS responded with a B34 command reject after the host sent a 'c' for the FID in the transaction reply.

GMNB-3879 A terminal over dispensed after an ActiveTeller authorization was required but no agent was available and the customer changed the withdrawal to coins only. Both original bills and coins were dispensed.

Issue Description

GMNB-3823 Black frames at the last 2 seconds of the idle movie caused the 7800D ATM to sometimes stop displaying the idle animation. However, card could still be inserted and a transaction started.

GMNB-3827 Idle movie did not restart after ending an ActiveTeller Assistance session. Transactions could still be run and idle movie returned after another transaction was performed.

GMNB-3888 NBS was displaying the maximum amount exceeded message during a payment because the code was comparing the payment amount (cash and check that was inserted) to the MaxPaymentCashAmount when it should have been comparing the total cash amount to the MaxPaymentCashAmount.

GMNB-3891 Customer made a $1.00 deposit and asked for $0.50 cash back. EJ showed incorrect dispensed amount. However, the customer did receive $0.50 and a correct receipt was printed. Core transactions were journaling Dispense Count, Dispense, Remain Count, Pickup Count, Reject Count for Core transactions and should not have.

GMNB-3909 ActiveTeller was hanging due to a coding error when a review was needed using the new Review Limits.

GMNB-3917 Software was freezing at the start or during an ActiveTeller transaction review. Null data was preventing the messages from being built and sent.

GMNB-3919 Control mode transfer transactions were not printing the 'To account ' balance on the receipt. This was because control mode transactions did not use host response data which contained the balance data.

GMNB-3958 The application was sending a supervisor Enter/Exit message when a device was unusable. The message should only be sent when a device was reported as faulted and then the fault was cleared.

Issue Description

GMNB-3916 Problem: NBS software freezes were occurring during the close of the customer transaction when a call to ActiveTeller was made during the transaction.

Solution: NBS was updated to eliminate this specific freeze after the call is completed. Transactions should continue as expected.

GMNB-3958 Problem: The application was incorrectly sending a supervisor enter and exit message when a device was not available for a transaction. The application should only send the supervisor enter-exit messages when a device was faulted but now is working.

Solution: The fix was to not send the message unless the device was usable for transactions. The previous criteria only used the overall device status. In some cases the overall status could be good but the device is not usable (ex. cash bin is full).

Issue Description

GMNB-3984 Problem: An intermittent issue with check deposit images not getting transmitted to the consolidation server was occurring. The problem happened when a customer mark a good check for ‘return’ then changed it to ‘accept’.

Solution: This problem was fixed by not setting the check image path value to empty when the item is marked for return.

GMNB-3985 Problem: No cash retract status message was sent to host using native statuses when the customer cancelled a cash deposit transaction, did not take the returned cash and the retract bin became full. The problem only happens if the application is configured to send cash acceptor status ‘w’ instead of depository faults ‘F’. The NBS default setting is to send the message as depository faults ‘F’.

Solution: The problem was fixed by reporting retracts for both configurations.

GMNB-3995 Problem: Cash deposits failed when the previous transaction was a check deposit where the customer entered an invalid item and never completed the transaction. The failure happened when the customer attempted to insert cash and a device error occurred before the cash was inserted.

Solution: The problem was fixed by always closing any active deposits at the end of the customer session.

Issue Description

GMNB-4037 Problem: Transactions were incorrectly appearing as available due to UI-network and UI-core configuration settings not behaving as expected.

Solution: Made a coding change so that the incorrect transactions no longer appear as available and setting are behaving correctly.

GMNB-4055 Problem: Host denials or time outs are not printing denial receipts for transactions that are not deposits.

Solution: The code was changed to print denial receipts for all transaction types.

GMNB-4063 Problem: Cash and Check payment from ActiveTeller control did not update the EJ2 properly, but did update the ActiveTeller reports accurately.

Solution: The TotalCheckAmount was too large for the amount field (int 16). The field was changed to a larger integer value of 32.

GMNB-4083 Problem: The current transaction amount was incorrectly set for a check only transaction using the mixed media acceptor. The Amount was being set to the totalCashAmount which was incorrect for check transactions.

Solution: Updated the code to use TotalCheckAmount in the flowpoint for the amount in CheckCashing transactions.

Problem: NBS did not display or voice the Deposit.RetractCash message (in the string resources file) when cash was retracted during a deposit.

Solution: Corrected the code to reference and display the Retraction screen and voice guidance now voices the retraction message when a retract occurs on a deposit.

GMSDK-27 Problem: The 8300I ADA script incorrectly identified the depository location in the tutorial and during transactions.

Solution: The correct location has been included in the ADA file.

GMSDK-45 Problem: Using Logbackup.exe from the command line did not include the Config folders in the backup.

Solution: The updated version of LogBackup.exe and related software now includes the Config folders in the backup.

GMSDK-46 Problem: The ATM was dispensing the wrong denominations after the cassette denominations were changed based on a host configuration message.

Solution: Changed the criteria of when to set the cassette denominations based on a host message. NBS will now apply the host note types sent from the host in a Remote Configuration message only if none of the cassettes on the ATM are configured.

Issue Description

GMSDK-49 Problem: Failed deposits were creating Check21 xml files and sending them to the consolidation server.

Solution: Updated the code so that when the parameter Check21XMLSendCheck21XMLFileOnDepositoryFault is set to False in the EnvelopDepositEmulationForBNABCA.xml file, no Check21 XML file is created when a deposit transaction fails.

GMSDK-52 Problem: When GetPreferences is configured, the time between a chip card insertion and Enter PIN screen display is too long (approx. 18-20 seconds)

Solution: Some internal application delays were found and corrected. Also improved the time by defining GetPreferences as a non-EMV transaction since it is not. This saved time by preventing CAM data from being sent to host.

GMSDK-58 Problem: A screen lockup occurred during a cash deposit where some notes were skewed. The lockup was caused by the Refused Event timing out.

Solution: The NBS Timer of Taken notes (refused notes) is handled by ActiveX and is not passed to the SP. It has been set to 0 to ignore it in the SP.

GMSDK-107 Problem: The CASHIN cassettes were not being sent to MoniView when the CCIM DeviceType was configured as BNA.

Solution: The code will now check if CCIM is configured as BNA. If so, it will send up BNA cassette information instead of standard CCIM-MMA information.
