Street Light RepairsDid you know? At the January POA Board meeting, The Board voted to participate in CenterPoint Energy’s LED Street Light Conversion program. Total monthly KWH’s savings = 6,258 KWH’s for all of the 432 street lights within the POA, or about half of the current KWH usage. This means cost savings, more efficient, less energy consumption and better, brighter lighting in our neighborhood. The estimated completion of conversion is by the end of Fall 2022.

POA Rental Policy Amendment Proposition 2022Attention POA members,

The Board has received the long-awaited Proposed Amendments to the Covenants which will allow us to restrict all types of short-term rental properties within the POA. The amendments consist of 4 sections which cover their own guidelines:

1. Required Lease Provisions

2. Subleasing Prohibited

3. Lessee Information

4. Occupancy

For these amendments to be lawful and filed with the state, The POA will need to secure a vote of 66% of the entire association, voting in favor of this proposition in its entirety. It will likely take some time to secure all the required approval votes so we are now working to develop the method in which votes will be acquired.

Recent Seat Changes on the BoardFebruary has brought on some changes to the Board. We had to say farewell to Courtney Barker and Araceli Grier who both resigned and we brought on Jimmy Jones and Mysti Gay to backfill their seats. Welcome to the Board!

• Thank you, Courtney and Araceli, for the commitments, contributions, time and effort that you spent on the board. You both did a whole lot of awesome things here. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve with y’all!

Sign Policy in the POAPlease help us keep the neighborhood looking nice. Advertisement Signs are against the deed restrictions and make the neighborhood look like a cluttered mess. If you see these types of signs, please report them to the POA for immediate removal. If you have questions, please contact us or find our Sign Policy on our website.

PG Community Wide Garage Sale was a success!Pecan Grove had a community wide garage sale day on Saturday March 26th, coordinated and sponsored by Kimbra V Team. Hopefully we can look forward to more in the future!

Parking on the StreetsPlease be considerate of your neighbors and emergency vehicles when you park your vehicle or trailer in the street for extended periods of time. It makes for a cluttered roadway and is an inconvenience to larger vehicles, trash trucks and emergency vehicles. Please do your part to help us with this growing concern.

Beautiful Pecan GrovePlease do your part to keep your yard cut and loose items or clutter out of sight. If we have contacted you about a violation and you are having trouble keeping up, or need a hand moving some things, please let us know! The Board members are always willing to help however we can, but we also have an obligation to enforce our deed restrictions. If we haven’t received a response from you in a timely manner, we may initiate a forced mow in order to keep Pecan Grove up to the standards that we all expect from each other. The juveniles are referred by the Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation Department. There are so many youth in need of a listening ear and encouragement. Come forward and be that person for a child in need. . . you may be the only one! Mentors must be 21 years of age and willing to give a minimum of an hour a week. If you cannot give your time, please consider a donation in your name to Fort Bend Partnership for Youth, Inc.
