Pectoral (Shoulder) Girdle � Made of 2 bones

1.  Clavicle- collarbone 2.  Scapular- shoulder blade

� These allow the upper limbs to have free movement

large intestine � Made of three pairs of fused bones

Gender Differences of the Pelvis �  Female skeletons have a wider-set pelvic girdle that is

more shallow �  Male skeletons have a pubic arch that is less than 90

degrees �  Females has a pubic arch greater than 90 degrees
