The journey of my life revolves around the urge to spread happiness and bring positive changes in people’s lives.

It was the year 2002 when life went through great upheaval. I had completed 12th that year and joined parental diamond jewellery business.

Since childhood, I have been more fascinated towards naturally gifted gemstones. Due to this keen interest in gems, I decided to study the subject of Gemology and Astro gems in depth and learnt about their mystical powers of healing a person. However, with the passage of time, I came closer to the ugly truth of this industry as well.

To my utter surprise, I saw many dealers in the industry- selling fake, synthetic, heated and treated gemstones in market. It traumatised my soul and I started feeling utterly helpless from inside. It made me realise why the people who

xii

put in their faith in those purchased gemstones for seeking solutions to their problems do not get expected results. I had numerous examples of the people going into deep depression after experiencing undesirable results.

It was the pain and suffering of the people wearing those gemstones in the faith and believing that thing will be better or the popular saying in political circle Acche Din Aayenge (Good days are in the offing) that drove my curiosity to know more about gemstones and understood whether they really hold any mystical power. If yes, then what are those mystical powers?

I studied a lot about them and did several case studies to comprehensively understand the effects and powers of each of the available gemstones. Next is history, which apparently exhibits the genesis of my dream.

In 2011, I along with Nikita, founded ‘Brahma Gems’ with an objective to render 100% natural, unheated, untreated gemstones to the people with the hope and intent to positively transform their life as per their expectations.

a glimPse of my suCCess stoRy

It was a usual and ordinary day. I found my parents upset about something. My aunt was undergoing some serious

financial and health issues. She was advised to wear pure emerald according to astronomical deductions of her planetary position. The healing powers of emerald could have brought relief in her life but to her misfortune, she went to a jeweler who gave her corrupted and fake gem for same monetary value. Since that day, her life went into further chaos and path of ill-fated incidents. Instead of relief, she had to face sorrow, tensions and depression. Was that her fault? Will she be ever able to put her faith in gems again? My mother raised those questions before my dad that day. Not only this incident but thereafter I have heard many such stories where people have worn fake or synthetic gems unintentionally and ended up paying a huge sum of money with no change in business or life at all.

2

I was told about the amazing powers of these gems, which can positively influence and transform the lives of people who wear them according to the astrology, jyotish or gemology. Getting deeply touched with this incident from within, I decided to bring a change in the society and decided to pursue a formal course in Gemology, Diamond Grading and Jewellery Designing from Gemological Institute of India, Mumbai in 2002.

My Failure...It is rightly said that, ‘You cannot taste the flavor of SUCCESS unless you go through a series of FAILURES.’

During this journey to discover the truth about gems, I myself experienced failure after wearing gemstones. There was this time when I came across two mighty gemstones - Blue Sapphire and Emerald. Few astrologers guided and suggested me to wear Blue Sapphire and I agreed to it. I knew the powers of Blue Sapphire and was aware that it is meant to change a person’s fortune.

As time passed by, I did not experience or feel any sort of change within me. It was not giving any results. Post that, I further consulted other astrologers to get a second opinion on whether I am wearing the right gemstone according to astrology and surprisingly almost all of them suggested the same gemstone for me. Pretty surprising, isn’t it? This further instigated me to dive deep into this and discover the root problem of not getting the expected results.

My Success…The result bothered me to such an extent that I went ahead to find out the actual cause behind it. If there is something, which is meant to give results, and is not giving so, then it is

because there A Glimpse of my Success Story is something drastically wrong. An ardent lover of gems, me as a person was not going to give up. Hence, after doing a deep study, I finally found the answer.

My research helped me in understanding that although I was recommended a right gemstone, there was actually an issue with the gemstone. I was wearing a heated and treated Blue Sapphire Gemstone. It was 100% corrupted and fake gemstone. The results shocked me but I was happy to know about the right reason.

Thereafter, I immediately replaced it with 100% Natural, Unheated, Untreated Blue Sapphire Gemstone. Indeed, the results of wearing the pure gemstone were quite incredible as it completely transformed my life. I started experiencing growth and triumph in my business. I can feel positive changes in my nature and behavior. I became disciplined and more patient. I was becoming free from the evils of anxiety, confusion and depression.

Friends, this incident was an eye opener for me and also realised me to educate more and more people so that they seek solutions to their problems and lead a happy and healthy life.

DaRk siDe of gem inDustRy–a BlaCk maRk

This chapter reflects upon the dark and corrupted side of gemstone industry, gemstone sellers, astrologers and

the wrong effects of buying and wearing fake gemstones on you as buyer/wearer. Statistics reveal that about 90% of the people are not getting results from the gemstone, which they are wearing or have worn. The answers are highlighted in this chapter to spread awareness and shed lights on ‘why’. It also includes case studies, which portrays miraculous truth about the mystical powers of gemstone.

2.1 Are you ‘REALLY’ wearing a ‘GEMSTONE’?Since years, the beauty and rarity of gems have attracted human beings. Their quest to explore and discover more about these gemstones led them to experience the mysterious

Discover the power and secrets of Gemstones

6

powers they hold. Gemology and astrology claims that each different gemstone endows distinct attributes as well as effects. It is the belief of mankind in astrology and these gemstones that has nurtured the practice of wearing them. What makes you wear the gemstone and are you really wearing it?

If yes, then the question that arises is, whether it is giving you the anticipated results or not?

As you realise the importance of wearing your birthstone/ gemstone, the first thing you will do is to visit the gemstone dealer that is available in your close proximity. In some cases, you may speak to your relatives who are wearing gemstones so that they can recommend their trusted gemstone dealer. Here, you are putting your money, your trust and your time on stake.

The major problem comes from wearing a fake or synthetics gemstone instead of pure one. It is important to understand here that not every yellow color metal is gold or that not every yellow color stone is yellow sapphire. If you are wearing anything in place of the right and pure gemstone then you will never attain the expected results. You will never feel the true power that gemstone holds for you. However, if you wear a real gemstone, you will surely experience its real benefits.

Are you thinking as to how can anyone recognize whether a particular gemstone is 100% Natural or Synthetic? Let me help you with this. A natural gemstone will always have some or the other inclusions like Crystals or Feathers, etc. Apart from that always go for a gemstone along with a Lab Certificate which clearly indicates Natural/Synthetic or any other stone with Comments Section (which indicates whether stone is HEATED/TREATED or free from any kind of treatment.

Let us take a glance on the case study to understand the real picture.

7

Case studyOne of my clients Abhilasha from Bangalore was depressed because of not getting married. For continuous 2 years, she was under deep depression as all her friends in her circle got married except her. She did everything possible as suggested by her God loving family.

Her family went to a number of astrologers where most of them suggested to wear Yellow Sapphire (Pukhraj). She bought Yellow Sapphire from one of the astrologers nearby. A year passed by, but nothing miraculous or positive happened. One day she came to Delhi and met me. She shared her life story and showed the stone. After cautiously analysing it, I told her that the stone is fake/look alike synthetic citing a number of convincing reasons. I could see a wave of painful expressions on her face as she had paid around 50k for that fake 5 carat yellow color stone.

Unheated & Untreated Yellow Sapphire From Yellow Sri Lanka (Ceylon)–Natural

It literally shook me when I realised her pain of losing a substantial amount of money on that fake stone and this has significantly mounted her already existing level of tension. Next, I gave her a Natural Yellow Sapphire sourced originally from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Immediately after 2 months of wearing it, I got her marriage invitation card. Her gratitude towards me was both overwhelming as well as inexplicable. It was a pleasure seeing her bubbling with joy, happiness and energy.

Such is the Power of a Natural Gemstone !!

2.2 Are you wearing a ‘HEATED GEMSTONE’?All that ‘Glitters Is Not Gold’!! Same metaphor applies on a gemstone, not all those gemstones that look more radiant in colour are pure. Human beings have devised ways to enhance the looks of low-grade gems. They use treatments to transform the look of low-grade gemstones. Do you know ‘HEAT TREATMENT’ is one of the oldest and common treatments to enhance the color of a gemstone?

Discover the power and secrets of Gemstones

9

This scientific treatment has the ability to entirely deepen, lighten, darken and even transform the color of gemstones. You will never know that you are wearing a synthetic stone instead of a pure one. Consequently, it will produce adverse effects on the wearer.

For example: Blue Sapphire (Neelam) is heated to enhance its color. More vibrant the colour of a Blue Sapphire, higher would be its price and more appealing would be its look. Here lies the core problem, my friend!!

If you are seeking astrological benefits of Blue Sapphire, you will never get it from a heated gemstone. The gemstone undergoes various chemical and heating processes in heat treatment, for instance one is normal heating in oil drums or in sophisticated gem ovens and another treatment is when beryllium is used to enhance its color, which again is not good for the health of the wearer. The consequences can be contrary from the anticipated results.

Let’s understand it better with following case study.

Case StudyOne of my friends in London was going through a bad phase in his business. So, he consulted some astrologers out there who recommended him to wear Ruby (Maanik) with Yellow Sapphire to achieve growth in his business and prevent any energy loss. Without wasting any more time, he bought it from the local jeweler there. However, with the passing of years, he found absolutely no change in business. On the contrary, he suffered huge financial loss.

When my trip to London was confirmed, I called him with sheer exuberance. Somehow, I didn’t find his response in a cheerful spirit. I sensed that there was definitely some problem with him but thought of confirming it once when I meet him in person.

Dark Side of Gem Industry – A Black Mark

10

When I met him and heard his entire tragic story, I asked him to show his stones. To my surprise, both were heated. He bought the Yellow Sapphire from Thailand and it was deep in colour because of heat treatment. The Ruby, which was given to him, was glass filled and that jeweler manipulated him by telling that it’s a

‘New Burma Ruby’.Please note: Readers, never fall in this trap of ‘New Burma

Ruby.’ It is nothing but a cheap quality African Ruby which is heated to enhance the color and treated by glass to enhance the clarity. It is practically known as a Glass Filled Ruby.

When I came back to India, I sent him Yellow Sapphire sourced directly from Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and pure Burmese Natural Ruby. In just around 6 months, he not only came out of losses but also experienced boom in his business. Today, he recommends me to everyone in his circles, who are either looking for pure gems or are facing troubles.

It is true in all parts of the world that gemstones are subjected to heat treatment to improve their color and clarity. This becomes one of the key factors behind the high price of a gemstone.

2.3 Are you wearing a ‘ TREATED GEMSTONE’?Pure gemstones often do not look as attractive as they look after undergoing treatment. The purpose is to make the final piece as appealing to the seller as possible. There are different methods of treatment available in the market and are specific to the respective gemstones. It is vital for the buyers and readers to know why gemstones have to undergo treatment. Some of these gemstones require treatment for their existence whereas some are treated unnecessarily for:

• Improving their color as well as clarity• Enhancing their endurance• Enhancing their optical effectsIt can be understood through examples and case study.1. Citrine: We can obtain this rare gemstone by heating

amethyst, as it is extremely rare naturally occurring gemstone.

2. Tanzanite: Tanzanite is also extremely rare; hence it is heated to generate its supply and to meet public demand

Discover the power and secrets of Gemstones

13

Whereas1. Ruby is generally treated to enhance its clarity by

way of glass treatment. Treatment in gemstone was introduced to use that stone in making jewellery and to enhance its look.

2. Sapphires are heat treated to improve its clarity, color and remove color zoning. These gemstones are thermally enhanced in furnaces. The results can be indeed dramatic ones; thereafter transforming pale stones into ones with saturated and lively colors. Sapphires are also treated with the help of Berylium which is not good for health.

Let’s take a look at different forms of treatment• Oil Treatment:

[Emerald (Panna) – This treatment is acceptable all over the world]

• Dyeing:[Emerald (Panna) – This treatment is done to enhance the color of emerald but it is not acceptable all over the world. Even, Turquoise is dyed]

• Diffusion:[Blue Sapphire (Neelam) is treated to enhance the color and beauty of the gemstone]

• Thermal Heating:[This treatment enhances the color of Diamond, Neelam and Ruby]

• Berylium Heating:[This treatment enhances the color of Gemstones]

Dark Side of Gem Industry – A Black Mark

14

• Glass Filled:Ruby and Blue Sapphire are Glass filled treated in order to enhance its clarity. In certain countries, this is declared as synthetics.

Please note:a. That you are wearing a 100% natural Blue Sapphire

and Yellow Sapphire Gemstone which is free from any kind of treatments. Only100% natural, unheated and untreated Blue Sapphire will give astrological benefits.

b. That Gomed Gemstones are free from any kind of treatments

c. That Cats Eye effect or Chatoncy Effect can be created nearly in any gemstone. Hence, if you are looking forward to wear a Cat’s Eye then it is advised to go for Chrysoberyl Cat’s Eye.

Adverse Effects of Gemstone TreatmentUnfortunately, many gemstone sellers are using the aforementioned treatments on gemstones to fulfil their astrological purposes to hoodwink their customers and sell their corrupted stone in the name of the original one and extort heavy amount of money.

If you are wearing a treated stone, your problem will amplify, or at maximum there will not be any let up in the present problem. Gem sellers charge very high prices to make them look good. It is one of the biggest challenges and issues in gemstone industry.

Let us see the effects of treated gemstone in this case-study.

Case StudyAfter seeing my video on YouTube, Rajeev (one of my oldest clients and dear friend) came to me as he was worried about his marital relationship. Day by day things were getting worse between him and his wife. He did everything that he could possibly do to make things better. He took consultation from marriage councelors and spent lot of money in past 3 years. When I shared his horoscope (Kundali) to one of my astrologer friend, he recommended him to wear yellow sapphire, which takes care of his dominating planet Jupiter. ( Jupiter is a very important planet when it comes to relationships, but sadly, his Brahaspati was very weak). He was already wearing a yellow sapphire for the same purpose, which he bought from a local store. When I thoroughly analysed that stone, I discovered that he was wearing a treated stone, in other words, a synthetic gemstone! This was the reason that he was not experiencing any healing effects.

Now, he is wearing the NATURAL YELLOW SAPPHIRE, both unheated and untreated. The results are quite amazing. They are so happy together now. Earlier, it was affecting his personal as well as academic life. But, after wearing the pure stone, everything is fine between them and are blessed with a baby, which they were yearning for last 3 years. I am happy to see how happily he is living and enjoying his family life.

Please Note: Readers, always go for a gemstone that is recommended by a Gemologist or Gemstone Expert who deals only in Natural Gemstone with best lab certificate.

things to ConsiDeR BefoRe Buying the Right gemstone

This chapter highlights six significant considerations before buying a gemstone. A gemstone dealer or seller is ethically

obligated to disclose the treatments done on the respective gemstone but they choose to hide them. Since people remain unaware about these vital facts thus, unintentionally they spend money on wrong gemstone. I have jotted them down for my readers as I believe that an educated buyer can guard himself from manipulation and fraud.

3.1 CutThe cutting of the stone/gemstone, also known as Lapidary, is used to change crude crystals into beautifully radiant

18

gemstones. Through cutting, lapidaries give them a specific shape and improve their luster as well as color. It is essential to improve the virtue of the gemstone and to cover its inclusions. A finely cut gemstone holds more value than a normal or odd- shaped gemstone. For example, in case of a diamond, cutting on the diamond is categorised under four categories i.e.

Excellent- the best in the cutting Very Good- nearly best cutting Good- average good cuttingPoor- uneven or bad shaped.

Then, how do you say which cut is excellent and which is bad?

It is based on the cutting techniques (finish, proportions or facet arrangements) applied by lapidaries to cut the gem in a way that it proportionately balances its weight-retention with its beautiful look. It involves four key steps i.e.

• Slicing• Pre-forming• Carving into desirable shapes• Polishing

3.2 ColourColour plays an important role in emancipating the powers of naturally occurring gemstones. In gemstone industry, it is believed that Color therapy plays a great significance in anyone’s life.

For example,In case of Corundum mineral:• When it is yellow in colour, it is called Yellow Sapphire;

• When it is blue in colour, it is called Blue Sapphire;• When it is pink , it is called Pink Sapphire;• When it is white it is called White Sapphire and so on

and so forth. In astrology, colours of the gemstone are earmarked for

specific planets only. For instance:• Blue sapphire is worn for Saturn• Yellow sapphire is worn for Jupiter• White sapphire is worn for VenusLikewise, Yellow Sapphire is further available in different

shades of yellow like pale yellow, light yellow, yellow and dark yellow. An informed buyer must be aware of the original color of the gemstone, it is seeking to buy before visiting the gem-dealer.

The below given table will illuminate nine main gemstones associated with nine planets and their respective colors.

3.3 ClarityIn simple words, clarity means purity of gemstones. It is defined by the internal or external characteristics of any gemstone i.e. inclusions. In Gemology, few or less inclusions in a gemstone display more clarity i.e. excellent performance. On the other hand, higher inclusions in a gemstone highlight its opaqueness. Each and every gemstone has inclusions in it. Some are visible with naked eyes, some are visible with lens and some are visible through microscope.

21

As far as the natural gemstone is considered, inclusions are the guaranteed signs of its purity. It is rare to find an emerald having minimal illusions or with clean surface. In fact, they portray higher inclusions and can be seen with naked eyes. Inclusions come in different forms: clouds, fingerprints, rutile needles, crystalline etc. depending on their respective minerals.

Let us take a look at some of the gemstones and kind of inclusions they reflect.

3.4 Carat WeightEach gemstone comes with distinct density. It is also considered as one of the price-deciding factors i.e. higher

22

the weight of a gemstone, higher is its value. In astrology, the weight of a gemstone is suggested to be 1/10th of its body weight, or sometimes when a smaller stone is suggested then it implies it has to be a higher quality gemstone.

Do you know, bigger gems are rarer than smaller gems?

The weight of a gemstone is measured in carats. Carat is an international unit for measuring the weight of gemstones. One carat is equal to 0.20 grams or 200 milligrams. Generally astrologers recommend the weight in ratti (an ancient native term in India for weight). In some parts, 1 ratti is calculated as 180 milligram and in some parts of India, it is calculated as 120 milligram. So, if you wish to buy a gemstone in the market, always ask about the ‘carat’ of any gemstone. Please Note: Readers, there are two types of Carat in jewellery segment:

1. CARAT: This is the measuring unit for weighing gemstone or diamond.

2. KARAT: It is used for knowing the purity of Gold. For eg: 22K/18K or 14K, etc…

3.5 OriginAre you aware of the fact that each gemstone is sourced from a specific native place or origin? Geographical studies based on collections of data and surveys reveal the identity as well as occurrence of minerals from which that particular gemstone is originated. It is vital to be aware about the origin of the gemstone before you select it. Here, origin of the gemstones is described as its native source i.e. from where does it come from?

Discover the power and secrets of Gemstones

Let us have a look at the table below to know the geographical origins of some of the common gems.

Ethically, it is the responsibility of the seller to disclose the treatments given to the gemstone to the buyer. However, this practice is not adopted by most of the gemstone dealers. As discussed above, most of the gemstones are treated to enhance their colour or clarity. If the gemstone is treated, it will lose its astrological benefits. Sapphires and Ruby are generally treated to give them appealing look and better clarity. Untreated gemstones claim higher prices in comparison to treated ones. Pure gems are rare to find and thus, fall in the ‘premium gemstones’ category.

3.6 Treatment, If AnyEthically, it is the responsibility of the seller to disclose the treatments given to the gemstone to the respective buyer. However, this practice is not implemented or adopted by most

of the gemstone dealers. Pure gems are rare to find and thus, fall in the ‘premium gemstones’ category.

how to CheCk the ‘PRiCe’ anD ‘Quality ’

of gemstone

This chapter gives a brief idea to the people about the factors that determine the price and quality

of a Gemstone

When a common man goes to the market to buy a gemstone as advised by his astrologer, he may fall

prey to fraudulent gemstone dealers who are making money because the customer is ignorant about the quality and pricing of gemstones. Hence, in such a case, it is very essential to have a basic know-how as to how certain factors can aid in determining the price and quality of a gemstone.

26

Let us take a brief lookS.N. Factor Effect on Price Effect on Quality1. Cut : It is

believed that more beautifully, exotically or unusually a stoneis cut it reflects its fine polishing, less blemishes and more wastage of raw gemstones

They demand higher price and are costlier. For eg. Oval cut sapphires are more demanded than any other cuts

A cut on the gemstone must ensure optimal play and light penetration in order to revive the radiance of colour.

2. Colour: Each gemstone comes in original colour depending on itssource of origin and only after heating it gets an enhanced colour.

Though pure & original color commands premium price but if the colour is more bright & radiant, it will demand higher price and vice versa.

Purest colour pieces are of premium quality as no extra hues are enhanced and portray high saturation & best tones.

3. Clarity in other words imply inclusions & blemishes on the stone

If the clarity is better than there are lesser inclusions on the gemstone and so the price will be higher too. Though, in exceptionalcases, in some gemstones, more inclusions are accepted i.e. in emerald, jardin & rubies

If inclusions are finely visible then it implies that it is a pure gemstone.Gem dealers improve clarity via treatments and demand higher price. It should be done in such a way that it does not harm the original beauty or colour of the stone.

How to Check the ‘PRICE’ and ‘QUALITY ’ of Gemstone

4. Carat Higher the weight, higher the price. Calibrated gemstones imply higher percentage ofwastage of stones in order to getthe desired shape or size leading to increase in carats and thus, price.

The entire aforementioned factor contributes inincreasing the weight of the gemstones.

5. Source/Origin

Generally, source of the gemstones matters in rarest pieces only like Burma Ruby, Kashmir blue sapphires etc. Since they are extremely rare, hence they command very high prices

Pure and rare don’t compromise on quality!!

6. Other misc. factors

The journey of a gemstone from mines to retail seller means increase in their price at every stop. It mayvary up to 300% by the time it reaches the end consumer.

authentiCity of gemstones

This chapter will give you a basic understanding about checking the authenticity of Gemstones.

If you are keen to know as how to read the authenticity of the certificate shown by the gem

dealer, then read on and go ahead…

My main objective behind writing this book was to educate the mass about the difference between real

and fake Gemstones. Since 90% of the people are not able to seek results from gemstones, it is very essential for the masses to know about this subject if they are willing to wear and test a Gemstone. Thus, in order to bring a positive and result-oriented change, it is vital to check the authenticity of any gemstone. But how?

30

Let us take a brief look at the key elements:

Certificate:The first and foremost essential element is the ‘Certificate of Gem’ or ‘Gemstone Identification Report’ that lies with the Gem Dealer. This report acknowledges the authenticity of the respective gem and assures that it is 100% ‘NATURAL’,‘REAL’, ‘UNHEATED’ and ‘UNTREATED’. So next time when you are all set to buy a gem from a gem dealer, do not miss asking its certificate.

Please have a look at the constituents of the ‘Certificate’ or‘Gemstone Identification Report’.1. Name of the Gemstone: The certifying body mentions

the name of the Gemstone, which confirms that the stone, which you are buying, is actually the one, which you have asked for.

2. Weight of the Gemstone: The next thing, which features right below the name, is the ‘ WEIGHT’ of the Gemstone. The measuring unit of Gem is ‘CARAT’.

3. Shape and Cut: The next thing, which is mentioned in the certificate, is the ‘SHAPE’ AND ‘CUT’ of the Gemstone. For example: Shape – Oval, Cut – Mix/Brilliant, etc.

4. Dimensions: The dimensions of the Gem will be clearly mentioned wherein its details pertaining to ‘DEPTH, LENGTH, WIDTH, HEIGHT and DIAMETER’ will be clearly mentioned in ‘mm’ unit.

5. Microscopic View: The microscopic view aids in giving information pertaining to the ‘ INCLUSIONS’ in the gemstone. For example: Ruby-Rutile Needles, Crystals, etc. and so one for respective gems.

31

6. Color: The color of the respective Gemstone will be mentioned so that it ensures that it is 100% REAL AND NATURAL GEMSTONE. For example: Blue Sapphire- Light lilac to bright and brilliant blue, etc…

7. Optic Character: (optional): The Optic Character or OC specifies whether the Gemstone is ‘ISOTROPIC’ i.e. ‘SINGLE REFRACTION’ or ‘ANISOTROPIC’ i.e. ‘DOUBLE REFRACTION’ in nature.

8. Refractive Index (RI): (optional): The Refractive Index is defined as the ratio of the velocity of light in a vacuum to its velocity in a specified medium.

9. Specific Gravity (SG): (optional): Some certificates mention Specific Gravity of a gemstone while some do not specify.

10. Origin or Source: (optional): The origin displays details regarding the original source or destination from which the gem has been sourced. For example: Emerald (Zambia), Ruby (Burma/Africa), Sapphire (Sri Lanka (Ceylon)/Kashmir)Note: The origin for Pearl is not available. Labs are unable to determine it as it is an Opaque/Organic Gemstone.

11. Comments: The comment section will be mentioned as ‘100% NATURAL, REAL, UNTREATED and UNHEATED’. Do question the Gem Dealer if ‘NA’ is written in the comments section.Comment Section is the most important section in any certificate as it informs the buyer about the ‘HEATING AND TREATING’ of a gemstone. While buying your desirable gemstone, you need to check the comment section. Most of the private labs hide to

Authenticity of Gemstones

32

mention anything in comment section and misguide their innocent buyers. Some certificates mention the term NA or Not Applicable or Not Available, which surely gives a fishy hint to the buyer. Do not miss to question the gem dealer if NA is mentioned in the comments section. This is the major reason why people do not get expected astrological results out of wearing the suggested gemstone.

However, the question still lies here! How to ‘ATTAIN’ the ‘RIGHT GEMSTONE

CERTIFICATE’?How to ‘ENSURE’ that the ‘CERTIFICATE’ is ‘100%

AUTHENTIC’ for both ‘GEM SELLER’ and ‘BUYER’?Certificate is one the most important documents which

acts as a proof for both gem dealer and gem buyer. But, with innumerable private Gem Testing labs coming up, there is no assurance to the credibility of the certificate. Thus, to simplify this, I am hereby stating the recognised and renowned Labs in India and Overseas.

Important Notification – A Quick Glance1. Make sure to visit a ‘GEMOLOGIST’ in order to buy

the right and best Gemstone. A Gemologist is a person who has deep knowledge on the subject of Gems and is an expert in this field. An Astrologer is a person who studies the horoscope and suggests gems based on his readings. Do not fall in the trap of buying a gemstone from a person who is not a Gemologist.

2. ‘CERTIFICATE’ is the first and prime right of both buyer and gem dealer. Make sure to ask for the certificate in order to check the details of the Gemstones. Also, gem dealers should ask for the certificate from recognised and renowned testing labs (as mentioned above).

3. Always take a note of ‘ WEIGHT’ column and make sure that the gem weighing unit is ‘CARAT’.

4. Do take a note of ‘COLOR’ of the gem, which is clearly mentioned in the certificate.

5. While buying the gem, make sure that you go through the ‘DESCRIPTION’ column. The specifications will be given as ‘MOUNTED’ or ‘UNMOUNTED’.

fReQuently askeD Questions

1. What is life of a ‘GEMSTONE’ ?Gemstones are precious and stay young forever. They never cease to shine or lose their preciousness. You should only change gemstone whenever you need to upgrade it i.e. when you want a bigger one or a better one. Gemstone always remains the same. Yes, it is possible that they may lose polishing or need cutting due to regular wearing, but there is no fixed period for that. You can wear a gemstone till the time you want as they don’t come with life span.2. What is the difference between a ‘CARAT’ and ‘RATTI’?Carat is an internationally accepted unit of measurement of weight for a gemstone. When we buy any gemstone, its weight is always mentioned in carat in their respective certificate. If it is mentioned in other term, please be aware that it is wrong or unauthentic. 1 carat is equal to 200 milligram and one ratti can be 180 milligram or 120 milligram. ‘Ratti’ is not a technical term; rather it is an ancient term used by our ancestors since their era. There is no weighing machine in which we can check the weight in ratti, it is always converted from carat or grams.

42

3. Should I test ‘BLUE SAPPHIRE’ before wearing it? How can I test? Should I keep it under my pillow?Irrespective of ‘Blue Sapphire’ or any other gemstone, it is very essential to go ahead as per the advice of your astrologer. It is always suggested to first wear the gemstones in order to test or see their result or effect on the person. The most important factor is that the tip of the gemstone should be in direct contact to your skin so that it can show its effects. In my opinion, you will not experience the expected results from the stone if it is kept under the pillow.4. Do ‘GEMS’ really work? Are they effective? Can I see a transformation in my life after wearing the suggested Gems? The answer to the above questions is a ‘YES’ if and only if you are wearing ‘REAL’ gemstone correctly and that is ‘UNHEATED’ and

‘UNTREATED’ one. They can really change your life positively.Let me share one experience with you:One of my prestigious clients called me up from Dubai. Since we were on a video call, he showed me his gemstone and simultaneously shared his problem. After viewing the gemstone, I informed him that he was actually wearing a fake stone. As a result of which he was not able to get an expected or positive results. Considering my advice, he went to the jeweler and asked him for refund and take back the fake gemstone. Thereafter, I sent the recommended Natural Gemstone to him. He started wearing it and experienced positive changes after few months. Luckily, things are now settled at his end.
