IntroductionWe all have read of the ministry of angels, how throughout the Old

Testament and even the New Testament they brought great deliverance topeopleandnations.

TheMosaicLawwasgivenbythedispositionofangels.

Anangelappeared toMaryand toldhershewouldconceiveandbearachild.

ThebirthofJesusinBethlehemwasproclaimedbyangels.

Josephwasgivendirectionseveral times.First,anangel toldhimnot tofear,but to takeMaryashiswifebecause thatwhichwasconceived inherwasof theHolyGhost.Then twice an angel appeared to himand toldhimwheretogotoavoidthepeoplewhoweretryingtokillJesus.

It was great that the angels ministered to those people. But somehowdown through the yearswe have let these things slip from us.We need torecognizethattheministryofangelsdidn’tgooutwiththeNewTestament.Itdidn’t go out with any dispensation. It’s still a valid ministry in the earthtoday.

Hosea 4:6 saysGod’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Butknowledgeisavailabletous.Jesussaid,“Ifyecontinueinmyword,thenareyemydisciplesindeed;andyeshallknowthetruthandthetruthshallmakeyoufree”(John8:31,32).

Thereisavastreservoirofknowledgeconcerningtheabilityofangelstodeliverpeople from thebad circumstancesof life, even from life anddeathsituations.Youcan’tbelieveanyfartherthanyouhaveknowledge.

Itismyintentioninthisbooktopresentanunderstandingoftheministryof angels as it is available tous today.Withknowledgeof angels and theirworkintheearth,wecanbetterdothewillofGodwhichistheultimategoalofeverybeliever.

1Angels,GoodandBadI want us to begin in the first chapter of Hebrews where the writer is

comparingJesuswithangelsandHisministrywiththeministryofangels.Beingmadesomuchbetter than theangels,ashehathby inheritanceobtainedamoreexcellent

namethanthey(v.4).

Andoftheangelshesaith,Whomakethhisangelsspirits,andhisministersaflameoffire(v.7).

Theninverse13:Buttowhichoftheangelssaidheatanytime,Sitonmyrighthand,untilImakethineenemiesthy

footstool?

WeknowHedidn’tsaythistoangels;HesaidittoJesus!Aretheynotallministeringspirits,sentforthtoministerforthemwhoshallbeheirsofsalvation?

(Rom.14).

Theangelsarespiritssentforthtoministerforthemwhoshallbeheirsofsalvation.Thatincludesus!

Sotheministryofangelsdidn’tpassawaywithsomeotherdispensation.Itdidn’tstopwhenweenteredintotheNewTestament.Itdidn’tstopwiththeapostles.It’sstillavalidministrytoday.

FallenAngelsThere arenotonlygoodangels, but there are fallenangels—angels that

rebelledagainstGod.ItwouldbegoodforustofindoutwhattheBiblesaysaboutthesefallenangels.

One thirdof the angels fell fromheavenwithLuciferwhenhe rebelledagainstGod.Asaresulttheywerecastoutofheaven.(Rev.12:9.)Let’slookatJude,thesixthverse:

Andtheangelswhichkeptnottheirfirstestate,butlefttheirownhabitation,hehathreservedineverlastingchainsunderdarknessuntothejudgmentofthegreatday.

Noticetheseangelsarereservedineverlastingchainsunderdarkness.

Nowin2Peterwefindtheangelsthat“keptnottheirfirstestate.”Theysinned, and lost their habitation. TheHebrew says they kept not their firstheadshiporfirstdominion.

ForifGodsparednottheangelsthatsinned,butcastthemdowntohell,anddeliveredthemintochainsofdarkness,tobereserveduntojudgment;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,bringinginthefloodupontheworldoftheungodly.

2Peter2:4,5

Iwanttodrawyourattentiontoonestatement:But cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto

judgment;andsparednottheoldworld….

Theworld Satan (or Lucifer, as hewas called then) ruledwas aworldruledbyangels.Luciferruledandreignedoveraworldbefore

Adamwasevercreated.Luciferhadathrone;heruledovernations.TheBibledoesn’tgivemanydetails,butitgivesussomeinsightintothatworld.Let’sreadEzekiel28:12-15:

Sonofman,takeupalamentationuponthekingofTyrus,andsayuntohim,ThussaiththeLordGod;Thousealestupthesum,fullofwisdom,andperfectinbeauty.

Thouhast been inEden thegardenofGod; everyprecious stonewas thy covering, the sardius,topaz,andthediamond,theberyl,theonyx,andthejasper,thesapphire,theemerald,andthecarbuncle,andgold:theworkmanshipofthytabretsandofthypipeswaspreparedintheeinthedaythatthouwastcreated.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holymountainofGod;thouhastwalkedupanddowninthemidstofthestonesoffire.

Thouwastperfectinthywaysfromthedaythatthouwastcreated,tilliniquitywasfoundinthee.

Notice he said, “Thou art the anointed cherub, and I have set thee so.”This“being”heisspeakingofisLucifer.Thephrase,“TakeupalamentationuponthekingofTyrus,”isadoublereference.Thespeakeristalkingtoamanon earth, but there is a dual referencewhich could not apply to aman onearth.

For instance, it says, “Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God.” Itdoesn’t say, “the Garden of Eden.” It says, “Eden, the garden of God.” Ifyou’renotcareful,you’llmissitthere.

WhenSatanwas in theGardenofEdenwithAdamandEve,hedidnothavediamondsandberylandgoldashiscovering;hehadasnakeskin!WhentheserpentstartedtalkingtoEve,shedidn’tsay,“Oh,howbeautifulandhowshinyyourdiamondsare!My,my,yourgoldandyourrubiesarejustoutofthis world!” She didn’t say that because the covering of gold and rubieswasn’t therewhen the serpent approached her. Satan had already fallen; hewasalreadyafallenangel.HehadlostallofhisbeautybeforehewasintheGardenofEden.HelostitwhenhesinnedagainstGod.TheGardenofEdenwasAdam’sgarden!

Here it is calledGod’sgarden:“Eden, thegardenofGod.”WhenSatan

was in theGarden ofGod, all those precious stoneswere his covering.Hewas the anointedcherub.Hewas theprotectorof the earth and the rulerofthatworld.

ThisiswhytheBiblespeaksof“theoldworld”in2Peter2:5.

TheninIsaiah,chapter14,youwillnoticeagainsomescripturesthatgiverevelationconcerningLucifer.Verses12-17read:

Howart thou fallen fromheaven,OLucifer, sonof themorning!howart thou cut down to theground,whichdidstweakenthenations!

Forthouhastsaidinthineheart,Iwillascendintoheaven,IwillexaltmythroneabovethestarsofGod:Iwillsitalsouponthemountofthecongregation,inthesidesofthenorth:

Iwillascendabovetheheightsoftheclouds;

IwillbelikethemostHigh.

Yetthoushaltbebroughtdowntohell,tothesidesofthepit.

Theythatsee theeshallnarrowlylookuponthee,andconsider thee,saying,Is this themanthatmadetheearthtotremble,thatdidshakekingdoms;thatmadetheworldasawilderness,anddestroyedthecitiesthereof…?

Notice he is talking about Lucifer, the anointed cherub. Lucifer had athrone.Heruledoverpeople.Evidently,his thronewasonearthbecausehesaid, “I’ll exaltmy throne above the stars ofGod.”The starswere alreadythere;theywerealreadycreated.Hesaid,“I’llascendabovetheheightsoftheclouds,”sothecloudswerealreadythere.

Lucifer haddominion.Hehad rule over aworld, and all thesepreciousstones were his covering. He was put there to be the anointed cherub. Heruledandreignedinthatworld.

HaveyoueverwonderedwhythestatementwasmadeinHebrews2:5:Foruntotheangelshathhenotputinsubjectiontheworldtocome,whereofwespeak?

Whywouldhebetalkingaboutangelsandsuddenlymakethisstatement:“Theworld tocomewillnotbeput intosubjection to theangels”?Becausetheworldthatwashadbeeninsubjectiontoangels.

Theworldasweknow it is not ruledby angels, but the angels have animportantparthereonearth,Hebrews2:5,6states:

Foruntotheangelshathhenotputinsubjectiontheworldtocome,whereofwespeak.

Butoneinacertainplacetestified,saying,

Whatisman,thatthouartmindfulofhim?

Iwanttostressthispoint:Angelsarecreatedbeings.Weneedtoknowthedifferencebetweenangelsandmen,because there ismuchconfusion in thisarea.

Ifyoubelievesomeofthethingsyouseeontelevision,youwillthinkthatwhenyoudie,youwillbecomeanangel.You’renotanangelnow,andyouwon’tbecomeanangelwhenyoudie.

NoSalvationforFallenAngelsThere is no salvation for angels. I know there have been things taught

concerningtherestorationofallthings,thateventhedevilhimselfisgoingtobesaved!Butyoucanforgetit!Thedevilisnotgoingtomakeit!He’shadit!

This then brings up the question: Why would God give His Son formankindandnotforangels?

Like all angels, Lucifer was a created being. In the world that existedbeforeAdam,angelsruled.ThenwhenAdamwascreated,hewasmaderuleroftheearth.HewassubordinatetoGod,buthewas“thegodofthisworld.”Hehaddominionandcontrolovertheearth.GodgavehimthatdominioninGenesis1:26-28.

First Peter 1:12 tells us that angels “desire to look into salvation.”Onereason there isno salvation for angels is that theyare createdbeings.TheyweredesignedandsetinaplacetofulfillthepurposeforwhichGodcreatedthem.Iftheylefttheirhabitationorcalling,itwascurtainsforthem!

Angels must respond to what God has created them to do. They don’thave the right tomakechoices.Theyhave theability tochoose butnot therightofchoice.

The fallen angels didn’t have the right tomake the decisions that theymade,buttheymadethemanyway.Lucifermadeadecision.Hesaid,“Iwillexaltmythrone!”

Buttheangelsdidn’thavetherighttospeaktheirownwords.TheyweretospeakGod’sWordorthingsthatwereinlinewithGod’sWord.TheyweretoenforceGod’sWordorseethatitcametopass.TheyweretohearkentotheVoiceofGod’sWord.TheyweretodoHiscommandments,buttheychosetorebelagainstGod.

Adamwascreatedandputontheearthonahigherorderthantheangels.Hehadtheabilityandrighttomakedecisions.God letHis intentionsbeknownbystatingitthisway:

Letusmakemaninourimage,afterourlikeness:andletthemhavedominionoverthefishofthesea, andover the fowlof theair, andover thecattle, andoverall theearth, andovereverycreepingthingthatcreepethupontheearth.

Genesis1:26

Godsaid,“We’regoingtogivemandominion.”Adamwascreatedwith

theabilityofchoiceand therightofchoice.That’s thereasonGodsentHisSon:toredeemandrestoremankind.

GodcreatedmanonHis level, inHis imageand likeness.Hegavemandominionoverthefishoftheseaandthefowloftheair.Hegavemantotalandcompletedominionoveralltheearth.

Mancoulddowhathewanted,butGodtoldhim,“You’regoingtodieifyoueatofthetreeofknowledgeofblessingandcalamity!”(Gen.2:17AMP)

Adamhadtherighttomakethewrongchoice.Godgavehimtherighttodoit,eventhoughitwaswrong.Adamshouldn’thavedoneit,buthedid!

Godhasalwaysgivenmanachoice.HegavemandominionoveralltheworkofHishands.

Godhaslaidoutbeforeuswhat’srightandwhat’swrong.Thechoiceisours.Wecanchooseright,orwecanchoosewrong.

GodgaveusHisWord(theBible)andsaid,“Youhavedominion.Sowtherightseedandreapagoodharvest.”

TheWordofGodspellsitout:Sowtotheflesh,andyouwillofthefleshreapcorruption.Sowtothespirit,andyouwillof thespiritreapeverlastinglife.(Gal.6:8.)

Mankindistheonlybeingwiththerighttochoosehisdestiny.Heistheonlyone that has the right to choosehiswords.Angelsdon’t have thatright.

GodsentanangeltoCorneliusandtoldhim,“GotalktoSimonPeter,andhe’lltellyouwhattodo.”

Whydidn’ttheangeltellCorneliuswhattodo?Angelscan’tpreachtheGospel, but men can. We were created on a higher order than angels.Demons, evil spirits, and fallen angels wantmankind to believe theywerecreatedhigherthanman.TheApostlePaulsaiditthisway:

Forsucharefalseapostles,deceitfulworkers,transformingthemselvesintotheapostlesofChristandnomarvel;forSatanhimselfistransformedintoanangeloflight.

2Corinthians11:13,14

Onetranslationreads,“Satantransformshimselfintoanangeloflight.”

Bewareofsatanicenlightenment.

God said, “Let usmakeman inour image and inour likeness (likenessindicates“aduplicationofkind”),letthemhavedominionoverthefishofthesea,overthefowloftheair,overalltheearth,overeverycreepingthingthatcreepethontheearth.”

Godgavemandominionovereverythingthatcreepethontheearth!Yes,youhavedominionovercreeps!

SoGod createdman in his own image, in the image of God created he him;male and femalecreatedhethem.

AndGodblessedthem,andGodsaiduntothem,Befruitful,andmultiply,andreplenishtheearth,andsubdueit:andhavedominionoverthefishofthesea,andoverthefowloftheair,andovereverylivingthingthatmovethupontheearth.

Genesis1:27,28

Notice theworddominion: “Havedominion over the earth.” Thatwordmeans“to rule,”notbesubordinate tosomethingelse.AlthoughAdamwassubordinatetoGodinthespiritrealm,hewasthegodofthisworld.

ButaftertheFall,Satanbecamethegodofthisworld.(2Cor.4:4.)Satancameintothisworldillegallytoforcehisrulershiponthisplanet,butGodhadgivenittoAdam.WheredidSatangethistitle?HegotitfromAdam.

Godhadgivenmandominion.ButHehadsaidtoAdam:Ofeverytreeofthegardenthoumayestfreelyeat:butofthetreeoftheknowledgeofgoodand

evil,thoushaltnoteatofit:forinthedaythatthoueatestthereofthoushaltsurelydie(Gen.2:17).

Goddidn’tsayAdamcouldn’teatof it.Hesaid,“You’lldie ifyoudo!”God had set Adam in this earth in a different order than the angels in theworldbefore.InthatAdamhadtherighttochoose.Adamwasruler,andhehaddominionovertheearth.Itwashistodowithwhathewould.HecouldeatornoteatofalltreesintheGarden.

Allow me to paraphrase what God told Adam. “Now I’m telling you,Adam, in thesameday thatyoueat thefruitof thatone tree,youwilldie.”The Hebrew says, “doing you shall die.” Adam died spiritually at thatmoment,andhisbodybegantodiefromthatveryday.

God created Adam a free moral agent with the right to make his owndecisions.Godgavehimtheearthlease.TheBiblesays:

Theheaven,eventheheavens,aretheLord’s:buttheearthhathhegiventothechildrenofmen(Ps.115:16).

Adam could dowhat hewouldwith the earth, and he did.He sold theearthleasetoSatanandleftGodontheoutside.

Adamhadtheabilityandtherighttomakethatdecision.Luciferdidnothave such a right.He had the ability to say, “I’ll exaltmy throne,” but hedidn’thavetheright.Thisiswhythereisnosalvationforfallenangels.

Foruntotheangelshathhenotputinsubjectiontheworldtocome,whereofwespeak.

Butoneinacertainplacetestified,saying,Whatisman,thatthouartmindfulofhim?orthesonofman,thatthouvisitesthim?

Thoumadesthima little lower than theangels: thoucrownedsthimwithgloryandhonour, anddidstsethimovertheworksofthyhands:

Thouhastputallthingsinsubjectionunderhisfeet.Forinthatheputallthingsunderhim,heleftnothingthatisnotputunderhim.

Hebrews2:5-8

Now ifwordsmean anything, this is saying that therewasnothing thatwasnotputunderAdam’sfeet.Thatisnotthesituationwithangelstoday.

Yet,itseemstocontradictitself.Verse7says,“Thoumadesthima littlelower than the angels.” Then it begins to qualify this by saying he haddominionovereverythingandtherewasnothingthatwasnotputunderhim.Sothatbringshimupaboveangels.

Let’s look at Psalm8,which is the source ofwhatHebrews, chapter 2,relatedtous.HereiswhereitwastakenfromtheOldTestament.

Whatisman,thatthouartmindfulofhim?andthesonofman,thatthouvisitesthim?

Forthouhastmadehimalittlelowerthantheangels,andhastcrownedhimwithgloryandhonour.

Thoumadesthimtohavedominionovertheworksofthyhands:thouhastputallthingsunderhisfeet.

Psalm8:4-6

The Hebrew word translated dominion means “the right and power togovern and control.”Then theHebrewword translatedangels in verse 5 isElohim,whichispluralforGod.

Itactuallysays,“ThoumadesthimalittlelowerthanElohim.”AdamwascreatedalittlelowerthanGod.

Nowasyoulookatthisstatement,youmightthinkI’mgoingalittletoofarwiththis.Well,assomeonesaid,“Doesanybodyelsebelieveitthatway?”Therewasacertainrabbiwhobelieveditthatway.HisnamewasJesus.WefinditinJohn10:30-35:

IandmyFatherareone.

ThentheJewstookupstonesagaintostonehim.

Jesusansweredthem,ManygoodworkshaveIshewedyoufrommyFather; forwhichof thoseworksdoyestoneme?

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; andbecausethatthou,beingaman,makestthyselfGod.

Jesusansweredthem,Isitnotwritteninyourlaw,Isaid,Yearegods?

Ifhecalledthemgods,untowhomthewordofGodcame,andthescripturecannotbebroken;sayyeofhim,whomtheFatherhathsanctified,andsentintotheworld,Thoublasphemest;becauseIsaid,IamtheSonofGod?

JesuswasreferringtoPsalm82.Godstandethinthecongregationofthemighty;hejudgethamongthegods.

Three words in this one verse have the same meaning. The wordtranslated God is Elohim, which is plural for God. It really says, “ElohimstandethinthecongregationoftheElohim;hejudgethamongtheElohim.”

Howlongwillyejudgeunjustly,andacceptthepersonsofthewicked?

Defendthepoorandfatherless:dojusticetotheafflictedandneedy.

Deliverthepoorandneedy:ridthemoutofthehandofthewicked.

Theyknownot,neitherwilltheyunderstand;theywalkonindarkness:allthefoundationsofearthareoutofcourse.

Ihavesaid,Yearegods;andallofyouarechildrenofthemostHigh.

Butyeshalldielikemen,andfalllikeoneoftheprinces.

Psalm82:2-7

JesusunderstoodthatmanwascreatedalittlelowerthanGod,notangels.ThisistheOldTestamentscriptureHeisreferringtoinJohn10:35whenHesaid,“Isaid,Yearegods…untowhomthewordofGodcame.”

2FallenAngelsandGiantsInthischapterwewilldealwithasubjectthatissomewhatcontroversial.

It is notmy intention to change thewayyoubelieve necessarily.However,regardlessofyouropinionorbelief,youshouldheartheviewthatmanyBiblescholarstake.Havingheard,youcanthenmakeupyourownmind.

Theangelsthatdidnotkeeptheirfirstestate,butlefttheirownhabitation,werecastdown.Theyarenow inhell, in chainsofdarkness, reserveduntojudgment. There is a valid reason for this, and we find it in the Genesisaccount.

Anditcametopass,whenmenbegantomultiplyonthefaceoftheearth,anddaughterswerebornuntothem,ThatthesonsofGodsawthedaughtersofmenthattheywerefair;andtheytookthemwivesofallwhichtheychose.

AndtheLordsaid,Myspiritshallnotalwaysstrivewithman,forthathealsoisflesh:yethisdaysshallbeanhundredandtwentyyears.

Thereweregiantsintheearthinthosedays;andalsoafterthat,whenthesonsofGodcameinuntothedaughtersofmen,andtheybarechildrentothem,thesamebecamemightymenwhichwereofold,menofrenown.

AndGodsawthatthewickednessofmanwasgreatintheearth,andthateveryimaginationofthethoughtsofhisheartwasonlyevilcontinually.

AnditrepentedtheLordthathehadmademanontheearth,anditgrievedhimathisheart.

Genesis6:4-6

Thenverse8says:ButNoahfoundgraceintheeyesoftheLord.

IrealizethattherearetwoschoolsofthoughtconcerningwhatI’mabouttoshare.I’mjustgoingtoshowyouwhatIseeintheBibleaboutit.Youcanbelievethewayyouwant.ThereweresonsofGodwholefttheirhabitationandtookwivesofthedaughtersofmen.

Somesaythat“sonsofGod”doesn’tmeanangels,butrathersonsofSeth.

There are only five scriptures in the Old Testament in which theexpression“sonsofGod”isused:Genesis6:1-4;Job1:6;Job2:1;Job38:7;Daniel 3:25. I believe all these scriptures refer to angels as sons of God.Thereisnodisputingthefactthatfouroftheserefertoangels.

Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and said, “I see One in therelikeneduntotheSonofGod.”HewastalkingaboutanangeloftheLordthatwasinthefurnace.

WhenGodsaid,“theangeloftheLord,”Ibelievethat’sexactlywhatHemeant—Hispersonalangel.

IbelieveallfiveoftheseOldTestamentscripturesrefertoangels.Itsays,“ThesonsofGodcametothedaughtersofmen.”SomemightarguethattheBiblesaysangelsaresexless,butIhavenotfoundanysuchstatementintheBible.

The Bible didn’t say angels were sexless. Some have drawn thatconclusion. The scripture that brings this conclusion to so many is Mark12:25:

Whentheyshall risefromthedead, theyneithermarrynoraregiven inmarriage,butareas theangelswhichareinheaven.

Wewon’tbeoperatinginheavenasweareonearthbecausewewillbeastheangels.Theyaresupernaturalbeings.Wewillhaveglorifiedbodiesthere.

FromwhattheScripturessay,manyBiblescholarsbelievetheangelsthatare now reserved in chains of darkness came to the daughters ofmen andproducedaraceofgiants.

Askyourselfthisquestion:Wheredidthegiantscomefrom?God’sLawof Genesis says, Everything produces after His and its kind. Everything!Whenyouplant a seedof cotton, youget cotton, not corn!Peopleproducepeople.Everythingreproducesafteritskind.

Anormalmanandwomandonotproducegiants.Iftheydidinthepast,whynottoday?

Manybelievethegiants’racebeganwhenangelscametothedaughtersofmen.Youcanformyourownopinion.

Og,KingofBashan,wasagiant.Hisironbedsteadwaseighteenfeetnineincheslongandeightfeetfourincheswide!(Deut.3:11.)

Goliathevidentlywasabout thirteenfeet tall.Hehadacoatofmail thatweighed196pounds.

There were nations of giants in those days. Nowonder the children ofIsraelsaid,“We’relikegrasshoppersintheirsight!”Theyweretalkinginthenatural.

It is believed that Satan set out to pollute this earth and get rid of “theseed” that was to bring Jesus into the earth. It had to come from Adam’sstock.WhentheFloodcameupontheearth,Noah’swastheonlystockthat

hadn’tbeenpolluted.Godpreservedthelineage.

Again, after the Flood, the same thing happened, for it mentions inGenesis 4:6, “There were giants in the earth in those days” (“those days”being before the Flood). The phrase after that refers to after the flood. Inotherwords,beforeandaftertheFlood.

Thisseemed tobeSatan’splan todestroy theseedandkeepJesus fromcomingtotheearth,forJesuswastheOneWhowasgoingtobruiseSatan’shead.

Satan was destined for destruction from Genesis 3:15 when Godprophesiedthattheseedofthewomanwouldbruisetheheadoftheserpent.Hetriedeverywayhecouldtodestroytheseed,buthefailed.

This refers toseveraldifferentperiodsof timeandplaces.First, theOldWorld thatpassedaway; thenaboutNoah’s flood; then thecitiesofSodomandGomorrah.

Judepicksuponthisinverses6and7:Andtheangelswhichkeptnottheirfirstestate,butlefttheirownhabitation,hehathreservedin

everlastingchainsunderdarknessuntothejudgmentofthegreatday.

EvenasSodomandGomorrah,andthecitiesabouttheminlikemanner,givingthemselvesovertofornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance ofeternalfire.

Notice, not all fallen angels are reserved in chains.Only those that lefttheirownhabitation,evenasSodomandGomorrah,andthecitiesabouttheminlikemanner,givingthemselvesovertofornication….

WhatisJudetalkingaboutwhenhesaystheangelsinlikemanner,givingthemselvesovertofornication,andgoingafterstrangeflesh?

Josephus,theJewishhistorian,madethisstatement:“ManyangelsofGodaccompaniedandbegatsonsthatprovedunjust.”

TheninIsaiah26:13,14,thereisaninterestingnote.Indoingastudyonthe word giants, you find the word rephaim that has been used in theScripturesforgiants.Thewordmeans“dead.”Itrefers to thedeadthatwillrisenot!Thegiantracewillnotberaisedupagain.Godhasdestroyedthem.

Personally, I could never understand how Jesus could preach to thewickedinprison.Itwaslikegivingthemasecondchance.ButHepreachedto thespirits inprison.Evidently this isreferringto theangels thatkeptnottheirfirstestate.

Hebrews1:7 says, “Andof the angels he saith,Whomakethhis angelsspirits,andhisministersaflameoffire.”HemakesHisangelsspirits.

Angelswere created in aworld beforeman. Lucifer existed in aworldbefore Adam.When Lucifer came to the Garden of Eden, he was a fallenbeing.Hehadlosthisthrone.Whenheappearedonthisearthhehadalreadylosthisdominion.

IntheGardenofEdenhewasnotcoveredwithdiamonds,beryl,andgold.Theyhadbeenstrippedfromhim.Hehadlost itall in theFall.Hecametoearthtodeceivemanandgainman’sauthority.Andhedidwhathecametodo!AdamsoldtheearthleasetoSatanfortheknowledgeofevil.

There is a leaseon this earth that runs for somewherebetween6 and7thousand years. There can be no definite number of years put on it, for itdependsonhowlongittakestheBodyofChristtoputSatanunderfoot.Butwhen that lease runsout, thenSatanhashad it, alongwithhisdemonsandevilspirits!

Idon’tknoworunderstandallthereasonswhytheevilspirits—thespiritsof pre-Adamic creation—are not incarcerated now. But the demonsunderstandthatthedayiscomingwhentheywillbe.TheychallengedJesuswhenHecastthemoutbysaying,“HaveYoucometotormentusbeforeourtime?” (Matt. 8:29.) They knew that a time was set. They thought Jesuscouldn’tcastthemoutbeforethattime.Oneofthemevenhadtheaudacityto

say,“IadjureyoubyGodthatYoutormentusnot!”HethoughtGodwouldtakeupforhim.(Mark5:7.)

SeducingSpirits—DoctrinesofDevilsNowtheSpiritspeakethexpressly,thatinthelattertimessomeshalldepartfromthefaith,giving

heedtoseducingspirits,anddoctrinesofdevils.

1Timothy4:1

Today,toomanypeoplearedisturbedaboutdemonsandevilspirits.Theyaretoodemonanddevilconscious,justastheChurchindayspasthasbeentoosinconscious.

ThedevilwantstodrawGod’speopleawayfromthemajorthingsoftheWordandoverintoarealmofdealingwiththenegativeallthetime.Ifhecankeep you busy dealingwith evil spirits and all the things he is doing, youwon’thavetimeforwhatGodisdoing.

Somepeoplethinkthatdemonsareeverywhere.SomeofthemgosofarastosaythatallChristianshavedemonsandmustbedelivered.

Someoneonceaskedme,“Doyoubelieveindemons?”

Isaid,“No.Idon’tbelieve indemons. Ibelieve therearedemons,butIdon’tbelieveinthem.IbelieveinJesus!”

Certainly there aredemons anddemonsdopossesspeople at times; butJesusdidn’tmakeabigdealoutofitinHisearthlyministry.Hesimplycastthemout!TheBiblesaysHecastthemoutwithHisWord!

The more attention you give to demons, the more they will manifestthemselves. I have known people who thought there were demons undereveryrockandbehindeverydoor!Yes,therearedemons;butwhenyouknowtheWordofGodandunderstandthepowerandauthoritythatcomeswiththenameofJesus,youcastthemout.

AsPaulsaid,somepeoplewillgiveheedtoseducingspiritsanddoctrinesof devils;but it is time for theBody ofChrist to begin to give heed to thespirits of God. There are demons and there is a devil; but we have themoutnumbered!As Elisha said, “There aremorewith us than there arewiththem!”Let’sgetturnedontothegoodspiritsofGodandnotbesoconcernedaboutevilspirits.

I am not saying we should ignore those that need deliverance. But wedon’thavetospendallourtimegoingonwitchhuntsordevilchases.

Youcanseethetacticofthedevilinthis.Heisourenemy.HisgoalistodivertusfromtheministeringspiritsofGod.

Let’steamupwithGod’sWordandputourfeetonthedevil!

Quit testifying about what Satan is doing and proclaim him to be adefeated foe. Jesus foughthimandwon thevictory foryou.Don’t fight thebattleagain—justenforcehisdefeat.

Don’tputupwithdemonsandevilspirits.Jesussaid,“InMyName,castoutdemons.”Youdon’thavetogiveheedtoseducingspiritsanddoctrinesofdevils;makethemgiveheedtoyou!

Getexcitedaboutangelsandwhat theyaredoing today!Evil spiritsarenotministeringforyou;theyareagainstyou.Theyareouttodestroyyou,butthenameofJesuswillputthemintheirplace!

WhereforeGodalsohathhighlyexaltedhim,andgivenhimanamewhichisaboveeveryname:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, andthingsundertheearth.

4AngelsandSupernaturalManifestationsbyAnnetteCapps

When you are dealing with areas of the supernatural, such as theappearanceofangels,peoplehaveatendencytogetexcited.Veryoften,theyhaveadifficult timekeepingthingsin therightperspectiveandwalkingthestraightandnarrowpath.Theyusuallywindupgoingoffintotheditchononesideortheother!

GodhasgivenmesomeinstructionsfromHisWordthatwillhelpkeepusinthemiddle,inanareaofbalance.Whenyouusetheword“balance,”somepeople’s hair stands on end.They throw a fit!They think you are going tocompromise the Word by mixing a little faith with a little suffering orunbelief. But that’s notwhat Imean. It is theWord ofGod thatwill keepthingsintherightperspective.

AsItravelaroundthecountryministeringGod’sWord,Iseeandhearlotsof interesting things. Iheard that inoneparticularchurch, therewasagreatstir over angels. Someone had seen a vision of an angel and, suddenly,everyonewasexcitedandanxioustoseeangels.

Onenightduringtheservice,thepersondirectingitsaid,“Oh,angelsareflyingallaround thecongregation!”Soeverybodystoodupandraised theirhands,feelingforangels!Onewoman,whowaskindofshort,hadherhandsraised.Whenthemannexttohermovedhisarm,herhandbrushedhissleeveandshescreamed,“I’vegotone!”

This is a good example of people being overzealous about thesupernatural.Itshowswhatcanhappenwhentheydon’thaveGod’sWordasaguide.

Supernatural manifestations will be more prominent in these days.Becauseof that,weneed someguidelines to followconcerning revelations,visions,andangelicappearances.

First, youmust understand that supernatural manifestations don’t occurwheneveryouwantthemto.Youcan’tjustdecide,“TodayI’mgoingtohaveavision,”or,“Today I’mgoing tooperate in thewordofknowledgeor the

giftofprophecy.”ThesethingshappenastheSpiritofGodwills.

Ihavehadseveralvisions;butIwasn’tsittingtheresaying,“Lord,Iwantavision!Letmeseeanangel!”Eachtimeitcameasasurprise.IrememberoneofthefirsttimesIsawJesus.Iwasministeringataprayermeetingandhadjustfinishedprayingforalady.Isawsomeonewalkup,soIturnedtoseewhoitwas.ItwasJesus!InomoreexpectedtoseeJesusthanIexpectedtoseeanastronaut!Butitwasn’tasIchoseittobe;itwasasGodwilled.

Somepeoplehavehadvisions.Somehaveseenangels; somehaveseenJesus.Others never have, and neverwill.That does notmean they are lessspiritual.TheBibledoesn’tsay,“Thosewhoseeangelsandhavevisionsarespirituallymature.”Seeingvisionsdoesnotmeanyouhavemorefaith.

I don’t knowwhy God chooses to appear to certain people and not toothers. IfHeappeared to somepeople, theywouldbe like the littlewomanwhoscreamed,“Wow!I’vegotone!”

Don’tbeconcernedaboutseeingvisions.ThosethingsbelongtoGod,andHewilltakecareofit.IfforsomereasonGodwantsJesustoappeartoyoupersonally,thenHewill.IfGodwantsyoutoseeanangel,youwillseeone.Otherwise,don’tbeconcernedaboutit.

HowtoTelltheTruthPeople have said to me, “I hear one person say this and another say

somethingelse.HowdoIknowtruthfromerror?”

Therearea fewbasicprinciples inGod’sWordwhich, if followed,willkeepyoufromerror.Alwaysremember,youhave theSpiritofTruthwithinyou,andHewillguideyouintoallthetruth.

TheHolySpiritandangelsdonothavethesamejob.Theyoperateintwodifferentareas.

TheHolySpiritdwellsinyou.Angelsdonotdwellinyou;theyareheretoministerforyou.

John 14:26 tells us what the Holy Spirit does. Let’s read from TheAmplifiedBible:

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the HolySpirit,WhomtheFatherwillsendinMyname[inMyplace,torepresentMeandactonMybehalf],Hewill teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall—will remind you of, bring to yourremembrance—everythingIhavetoldyou.

The Holy Spirit is our Teacher. Angels do not operate in the office ofteacher. They do not reveal the Word of God. They do not operate inrevelationknowledge.ThatisthejoboftheHolySpirit.

Whentheangelappeared toCornelius inActs,chapter10,hedidn’t tellCornelius thewayof salvation.Hedidn’t say,“JesusChristwas theSonofGod, come in the flesh. He came to save you, to redeem you.” The angelsimplysaid,“SendforamannamedPeter.”

AngelsarenotgivenresponsibilityofpreachingorteachingGod’sWord.TheBible tellsus thatangelsactuallydesire to lookinto thingsofsalvationand redemption. (1 Pet. 1:1012.) Evidently, they don’t have revelationknowledge in that area.God is showing, throughus, thewisdomofGod toangels.(Eph.3:10.)John15:26ampsays:

ButwhentheComforter(Counselor,Helper,Advocate,Intercessor,Strengthener)comesWhomIwill send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He[Himself]willtestifyregardingMe.

Angelscananddocomfortandhelpus;buttheydoitinthenaturalrealm,often by moving circumstances in our favor or by causing supernaturalmanifestationsof light, love,andcomfort.TheHolySpirit isourComforterandHelper,dwellinginsideusandstrengtheningusfromwithinourspirits.

John16:13ampsays:ButwhenHe,theSpiritofTruth(thetruth-givingSpirit)comes,Hewillguideyouintoallthetruth

—thewhole,fulltruth.ForHewillnotspeakHisownmessage—onHisownauthority—butHewilltellwhateverHehears[fromthe

Father,HewillgivethemessagethathasbeengiventoHim]andHewillannounceanddeclaretoyouthethingsthataretocome—thatwillhappeninthefuture.

ItisthejoboftheHolySpirittogiveyouthetruth.Romans8:14doesnotsay,“Asmanyasareledbyangels,theyarethesonsofGod.”But,“AsmanyasareledbytheSpiritofGod,theyarethesonsofGod.”

Occasionally,angelswillbesenttogivedirectiontoindividualswhoareinunusuallydifficultcircumstances.Butthenormalareaofguidancewillbetheinwardwitness.Angelsdo,fromtimetotime,givedivinemessages.Theyare often calledmessengers, but they donot bring revelation knowledge ofGod’sWord.

JudgeAppearancebyGod’sWordIfanangelappearedandstartedtryingtoexplaintheScriptures,Iwould

berathersuspicious.Paulsaidtherearemanyvoicesgoingoutintotheworld,andnoneiswithoutsignification.(1Cor.14:10.)

Therearemanyvoicesintheworldtoday.Ifyouareseekingaftersomegreat and mighty revelation that no one else has received, then you willprobably get one. But it may be from the wrong source. There are manyvoices. There is the voice of people. There is the voice ofGod that comesthroughourspirits.ThereisalsothevoiceofSatan.(Hewouldbegladtogive

you a revelation!) If you seek after revelations or visions, you may openyourselftoSatan,andhemaygiveyousatanicenlightenment.

Wheneveryouhavearevelation,avision,orasupposedappearanceofanangelor evenof Jesus, let peacebeyourguide. If youhear something thatdoesnotbringpeacetoyourspiritandisnotinlinewithGod’sWord,youcancheckitoffyourlistbecauseitisnotofGod.

Asageneralrule,angelsdonotrevealtheirnames.TheScripturesdonotforbidthis,butweneedtocarefullytrythespiritsshouldthishappen.Thereareonly fourangels in theScriptures that arenamed.Twoareevil:Luciferand Abaddon (Apollyon). Two are good: Gabriel and Michael. There aremanyangels;butwedonothaveabookthattellsusalltheirnames.Thereisareasonforthat.

If God wanted us to know our guardian angel’s name, He would haveprovidedabookaboutangelsthatgivestheirnamesandhowtheyappear;andtherewouldbeacontinualrevelationofangels’names.Obviously, therearesomethingsGodjustdoesnotwantustoknow.

AngelsUnawareWhenangelswereseenasheavenlybeingsintheBible,theyalwayswore

white.Ifanangelcomestoyoudressedinablackrobe,heisprobablynotofGod. There arewhat theWord calls “angels unaware.” Theywould appeardressedasnormalmen.However,atthetime,youwouldbeunawarethatyouwereinthepresenceofoneofthesesupernaturalbeings.

InGalatians1:6-9,Paulwrote:ImarvelthatyearesosoonremovedfromhimthatcalledyouintothegraceofChristuntoanother

gospel:whichisnotanother;buttherebesomethattroubleyou,andwouldpervertthegospelofChrist.

But thoughwe, or an angel fromheaven, preach anyothergospel untoyou than thatwhichwehavepreacheduntoyou,lethimbeaccursed.

Aswesaidbefore,sosayInowagain,Ifanymanpreachanyothergospeluntoyouthanthatyehavereceived,lethimbeaccursed.

This is pretty strong language. Paul doesn’t say, “If anyman disagreeswith you on the minor doctrines and details of life, curse him! He is nottalkingaboutwhetherthechurchshouldhaveasmallpulpitoralargepulpit,or how the chairs should be arranged!He is referring to peoplewho try toperverttheGospelofChristbypreachingsomeotherdoctrineorgospel.

RecognizingFalseDoctrineandCultsHow can you recognize people who are preaching other doctrines and

gospels?Let’slookinColossians2:18amp:Letnomandefraudyoubyactingasanumpireanddeclaringyouunworthyanddisqualifyingyou

fortheprize,insistingonselfabasementandworshipofangels,takinghisstandonvisions[heclaims]hehasseen,vainlypuffedbyhissensuousnotionsandinflatedbyhisunspiritualthoughtsandfleshlyconceit.

Self-Denial

A cult will have emphasis on self-denial. There will be self-imposedfastings and selfdenial ofmany things in order to appear religious.CultistswilldenythemselvesthingsthatarenotforbiddenintheScriptures.

IftheSpiritofGodleadsyoutofast,andyoufeelthatyoushould,thenfollowthatleading.Therearebenefitsfromfasting,butyoudon’thavetogoon forty-day fasts. Sometimes people have caused themselves seriousphysicalandemotionalproblemsbecauseoflongfasts.

TheWordtellsusthatinthelastdaysPeoplewillforbidtomarryandtellotherstoabstainfrommeats.TheseareasofmarriageandfoodwillbecometargetsforSatan’sdeception.Somepeoplewilloverindulge,whileotherswilldenythemselves.Inordertogetintothemiddleoftheroad,wehavetohearwhatGodissaying.

Therehavebeenpeoplewhohavegoneona longfastandhadavision.Theysawanangelthatgavethemarevelation.Theonlyproblemwasthatitwasthewrongkindofangel.Theywereledoffintoerror.

I think you will find in reading theWord of God that there were twoinstancesoflongfasts:Jesuswentonaforty-dayfastandafterwardsHewasministered to by angels.Elijahwent on the strength ofwhat the angels fedhimforfortydays.Nowifanangelcametomeandfedmeangelfoodcake—therealthing!—IimagineIcouldgofortydays,too!Danielwasonapartialfast for twenty-one days.Other than that,most of the fastswere no longerthanthreedays,maybeaweek.

Whenyourbodygets rundownandyouareweakandwithoutstrength,youopenyourselftotheenemy.Whenyouaretiredandwornout,whenyouhaven’t been eating right or sleeping enough, youhave a tendency to get alittlegrouchy.Youopenyourselfup tobecritical.Youyieldyourself to thewrongspirit.(Idon’tmeanthatyouaredemon-possessed,butyoudoreactalittlebitbelowthelevelofGod’slove!)

Nowjustthinkaboutbeingonaforty-dayfast.UnlessyouarereallyledbytheSpiritofGod,youareliabletogetintotroublebecauseyouarenotatyourbest;youarenotonguard.Thisiswhythedevilwilltrytocomeatyouinyoursleep to try toharassyouwith fear.Youareat rest thenandnotonguardmentally.

Thesamethingistrueinthisareaofselfdenial.IfSatancangetyoutogooverboard,hecankeepyoufromoperatingatyourbest.Hewilltrytogetat

youanywayhecan.But,praiseGod,whenyou follow theWord,youwillstayrightinthemiddleoftheroadandnotgooffononesideortheother.

WorshipofAngels

The word worship in Colossians 2:18 actually means “religion.” So“worshipofangels”wouldmeana“religioncenteredaroundangels,”wherethereisanundueemphasisoneitherangelsordemons.

Yousee,GodwantstorevealHisWordconcerningangelssothatHecanoperateatthefullestlevelsupernaturallyintheearth.ButanytimetheSpiritofGoddesirestodosomething,thedevilwilltrytocounterfeitit.

TheSpiritofGodisendeavoringthroughteachingtheWordonangelstoallowustotapintowhatGodwantstodoforussupernaturally.Hewantstoreveal to us that there are angels sent to minister for us and to us. Yetwhenever the Spirit of God begins to givemore revelation to the Body ofChrist,thenSatanusuallycomesrightbehindandbringsinthecounterfeit.

Acultwillplaceundueemphasisoneitherangelsordemons.Butyouhavetogetright in themiddleof theroadandsay,“Yes, thereareangels. Iknowmyangels areout thereworking formeas I confess theWord.TheyhearkentotheWordasitcomesoutmymouth.Iknowtherearedemonsandevil spirits.But Ihaveauthorityover them, inJesus’name.”Youarenot toputundueemphasisonthedeviloronangels;youaretoputyouremphasisonJesus!

YouneedtoknowwhatGod’sWordsaysspecificallyaboutangels.Whenyou know what the word says about angels, then you won’t go off on asideroad,alwayslookingforangels.Keepeverythinginperspective.WorshipJesusandkeepHiminthecenterofyourthinking.

Theproblemcomeswhenwetakeatruthandtrytomakeitthetruth.Yes,itis truethatthereareangels.Theydoworkforus.Yes,itistruethattherearedemons.Theyworkagainstus.Yes, it is true thatwecanhavewhatwesay.Butifyoutakeanyoneofthosetruthsandtrytomakeitthetruth,youwillbeinerror!Anytimeyouplaceundueemphasisononething,youareoutoflinewiththeWord.Ifyouaregoingtoplacealltheemphasisononething,ithadbetterbeonJesusbecausethatiswheretheemphasisbelongs!

DivineVisitations

Agoodway to recognize a cult is to realize that it is often based on avisionthatwassupposedtocomefromGodorangels.Ifyoustudyanycult,youwillprobablyfindthatitbeganwithsomesortofsupernaturalvisitation.Some had such great visitations and revelations, but they didn’t agreewithGod’s Word! There have been many such supernatural visitations in the

Orient,buttheydon’tagreewithGod’sWordeither!

NoticethatColossians2:18refersto“visionsheclaimshehasseen.”Godwillnothaveangelsappearingtoyouorhaveyouseeingsomekindofvisionjustsoyoucansay,“Hey,I’mspiritual!Ihadavision!Isawanangel!”

The reason God would have an angel appear to you is to give you amessage, or so that you would know you were protected in a dangeroussituation,suchasthecaseofPaulbeforehisshipwreck.(Acts27.)

If revelation knowledge is going to come forth in any vision orsupernatural experience thatGod desires to give, then itwill comewithoutyour seeking after it or looking for it. If you are always looking forsupernatural appearances, then Satan may try to bring you satanicenlightenment.

SuperiorKnowledge

Manyfalsereligionsarebasedonsuperiorknowledge—newdiscoveries,acult’ssecrets,andoftenpietyandseemingtobereligious,saying,“I’vegotarevelationthat’sbetterthanyours.”“Waituntilyouhearmine!”

Sometimestherearethosewhocansharetheirrevelationwithonlycertaingroupsofpeople.Theysay,“Godhasrevealedsomethingstome.Ican’ttelleverybody about this great revelation because the Body of Christ at largewouldn’tunderstandit;butIknowthatyouarespirituallymature.Youhavethegifts,soI’mgoingtotellyouaboutthis.”

AnythingthatisintheWordofGoddoesn’thavetobewithheldfromtheBody ofChrist.We all haveBibles.Anything I say or any revelation I getshouldgorightalongwithGod’sWord.

Ifyouarelookingforagreaterrevelation,thenyourmotiveisnotright,and itwillcauseyou togetsomekindof revelation that isdefinitelynotofGod.

ReligionThatIsNotChrist-Centered

True“religion”isChrist-centeredandbasedonthetruthoftheGospelofJesus Christ. Its emphasis is not on visions, angels, and revelation. ItsemphasisisonJesus.TheSpiritofGodwillalwaysseektoupliftJesusandmagnifyHim.Itwillnottrytomagnifymenandmakethemlookgreat.

You should always stay with theWord of God. Look to Jesus.We aregoing to see some supernatural things happening in the earth like neverbefore. Therewill bemore andmore angelic appearances and supernaturalmanifestations.JustremembertokeepyoureyesonJesus.Don’tlookatthevisions.Don’tbaseyourfaithonavision,anangel,orarevelation.Baseyour

faithonGod’sWord.KeepyourrelationshipwiththeLordJesusChriststrongandfirm.

5JesusandtheAngelsAs we begin this chapter, I want to lay a scriptural foundation from

Hebrews,chapter1:God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the

prophets,hathintheselastdaysspokenuntousbyhisSon,whomhehathappointedheirofallthings,bywhomalsohemadetheworlds;

Buttowhichoftheangelssaidheatanytime,Sitonmyrighthand,untilImakethineenemiesthyfootstool?

Aretheynotallministeringspirits,sentforthtoministerforthemwhoshallbeheirsofsalvation?

These verses of Scripture describe the ministry of Jesus. Jesus is thebrightnessofGod’sgloryand theexpress imageofGod’sperson.He is theWordofGodpersonified.“AndtheWordwasmadeflesh,anddweltamongus” (John 1:14). There is no doubt that Jesus was the exact expression ofGod’sWordinhumanform.

OnceJesus’ identityisestablished, thenthewriterofHebrewscomparesHimtoangels.

Beingmadesomuchbetter than theangels,ashehathby inheritanceobtainedamoreexcellentnamethanthey(v.4).

Jesus is greater than the angels-greater in power and in authority. HeobtainedHispositionbyinheritance,byconquest,anditwasbestoweduponHim. Because of His obedience, Jesus has been given the place ofpreeminenceontherighthandofGod.Theangels,however,areourservants.They areministering spirits that have been sent tominister for the heirs ofsalvation.

Askyourself:Whoaretheheirsofsalvation?Everyborn-againbelieverisanheir.

IfyebeChrist’sthenareyouAbraham’sseedandheirsaccordingtothepromise(Gal.3:29).

Goodangelsare supernaturalbeingssent tominister forus, towork forus,todosupernaturalthingsthatwecan’tdo.

ThenightJesuswastakencaptiveattheGardenofGethsemane,Hesaid,“Don’tyouknow that I cannowprayandGodwill sendmore than twelvelegionsofangels?”(Matt.26:53,paraphrased.)ARomanlegionconsistedofsixthousandmen.Byprayingoneprayer,Jesuscouldhavesummoned72,000angels!

Youmightsay,“Yeah,butHewastheSonofGod!”

Well,whodoyouthinkyouare?“BelovednowarewethesonsofGod”(1John3:2).

WehavetheabilityaspeoplebornofGodtosummontheaidofangels.Thisisapartofoursalvation.

6AngelsMinisteringforHeirsofthePromiseAswereadfromHebrews1:14intothesecondchapterwithoutstopping,

youwillnoticethatthesubjectmatterdoesnotchange.Aretheynotall(angels)ministeringspirits,sentforthtoministerforthemwhoshallbeheirsof

salvation?(1:14).

Thereforeweoughttogivethemoreearnestheedtothethingswhichwehaveheard,lestatanytimeweshouldletthemslip(2:1).

Whathavewejustheard?Thattheangelsareministeringspiritssentforthin the earth to minister to the heirs of salvation.We should give moreearnestheedtothatfact.

Forifthewordspokenbyangelswasstedfast,andeverytransgressionanddisobediencereceivedajustrecompenceofreward;

Howshallweescape,ifweneglectsogreatsalvation;whichatthefirstbegantobespokenbytheLord,andwasconfirmeduntousbythemthatheardhim(v.2,3).

Notice the question in verse 3: “How shallwe escape, ifwe neglect sogreat salvation?”We have always heard this scripture interpreted thisway:“HowareyougoingtoescapehellifyouneglectthesalvationthatJesushasmade available to us throughHis blood?”But this verse is not referring tobeingbornagain.

The word salvation here means “preservation, healing, soundness, anddeliverancefromtemporalevils.”Thisverseisreferringnottoourbeingbornagain,but to thedeliverance thatcomesby theministryofangels.Howareyou going to escape in this earth if you neglect the great deliverance thatcomesbysupernaturalbeingscalledangels?

Theministryofangelsisavailabletoyou.Godprovidedthisdeliverancefor you. But it is just like any other provision God hasmade: Unless youbelieve it and act on it, you will not receive the full benefit of what isprovided.

If you don’t believe in the ministry of angels, you probably won’t bebotheredwiththem,eventhoughtheyareheretoministerforyou.

YoumustbelieveinGod’sprovisionofministeringangelsandallowthemtoworkforyoubycooperatingwiththemandtheHolySpirit.Theangelswill

getinvolvedinyourfinances,yourbusinessaffairs,andyourfamilyaffairs.

WhileteachingonangelsinachurchinCalifornia,thespiritofprophecycame onme. I started saying some things prophetically about that church.Angelshadbeen involved in their acquiringof thebuilding. Iheardmyselfsay that theangelswerenot through, that theyweregoing tobecomemoreinvolved in it because the people had released them.Then I pointed to thepastorandsaid,“Therewillbeangelsappeartoyou.Youwillseethem,andtheywilltalkwithyou.”

Myheadgavemetroubleoverthat.Whentheanointingleftme,Ithought,“DearGod,whatdidIsay?”

Severalmonthslaterthepastortoldmethattheywereworkingonmatterspertaining to thechurchandwerehavingsomesevereproblems.Thepastorwas inanothercity toholdameeting.Hewas inamotel room,walkingupand down, praying in the Spirit, getting ready for the service. He turnedaround,andtherestoodtwoangelsdressedinarmorandholdingswords.Thearmorhadmarksonitliketheyhadbeendoingbattle.Whenheaskedwhatthey were doing there, they said, “We have come to help you with yourchurch’s financialmatters ifyou tellus to.”Well, itdidn’t takehim long totellthem!Hesaid,“Go,doit,inJesus’name.”Andjustlikethat,theyweregone!

Thenextdayhereceivedaphonecallfromhischurchandlearnedthattheproblemwhich had been giving them somuch troublewas all settled.Notlongafterthat,amancalledandsaidtheLordhaddirectedhimtogivehim900acresofland.Theyhadanotedueonthatbuilding.Theyhadtocomeupwiththemoneyquickly,ortheywouldloseeverything.ItwasdueonMondayandtheyneededover$300,000morethantheyhad.SundaymorningafellowwalkedintothechurchandlaiddowntwocheckswhichaddeduptoexactlytheamountthattheyneededonMonday.

Somebodyasks,“Whydoesn’tthateverhappentome?”

Haveyoueverbelieved for it?Haveyouever said,“Ministeringspirits,go and causeGod’sWord to be performed inmy behalf?”We’ve let thesethingsslipfromus.

TenThousandMayFall,ButYouWon’tIwillsayoftheLord,Heismyrefugeandmyfortress:myGod;inhimwillItrust.

Thoushaltnotbeafraidfortheterrorbynight;norforthearrowthatfliethbyday;

Sometimespeoplewillsay,“IknowwhattheBiblesays,butBrotherSo-and-sobelievedthatwayandhegotrunoverbyafreighttrain.”

I’m sorry aboutBrotherSo-and-so,butmaybehedidn’t appropriate thepromise.Apersoncanknowaboutitandstillnotappropriateit.

Theywill say, “Iknow the scripture,butyou seeSo-and-so tried it thatway,andhe failed.”AsPsalm91:7says,“A thousandshall fallat thyside,andtenthousandatthyrighthand….“

Youcouldgivemethenamesandaddressesof9,999morethatfailedthesameway,butitstillwon’tcomenighme!GodhasgivenHisangelschargeoverme,andtheykeepmeinallmyways!

JustsaywhatGodsaidaboutit.Youcan’ttellhowotherpeoplebelieve.Youcan’talwaystellwheretheymissedit.ButGod’sWorddidn’tfail.

Onlywiththineeyesshaltthoubeholdandseetherewardofthewicked.

BecausethouhastmadetheLord,whichismyrefuge,eventhemostHigh, thyhabitation; thereshallnoevilbefallthee,neithershallanyplaguecomenighthydwelling.

Forheshallgivehisangelschargeoverthee,tokeeptheeinallthyways.

The word salvation in Romans 10:9 and Hebrews 2:3 means“preservation, healing, soundness, and especiallydeliverance from temporalevils.”

How shall we escape if we neglect the deliverance that comes by theministryof angels?Theministryof angels ispart of the salvation thatGodhasprovidedforyou.It’sfoolishtopartakeofpartofitandnotpartakeofthe

other part. There areChristians all over theworldwho partake of the newbirth, but don’t believe in healing. Others believe in healing and the newbirth,butdon’tbelieveinprosperity.SecondPeter1:3says,“Hehasgivenusallthingsthatpertainuntolifeandgodliness.”He’salreadygivenit!Butyoumustbelieveforit.

Part of the salvation or deliverance that God has made available to uscomesbytheministryofangels.“WithlonglifewillIsatisfyhimandshewhimmysalvation.”

Angelswantverymuchtogetinvolvedinyourphysicalaffairs—inyourhome,inyourbusiness,ineveryaffairofyourlife.TheministeringspiritsofGodarehereintheearthtoworkforyou!

7AngelsAreListeningAsIwasprayingoneday,theSpiritofGodbegantospeaktomyspirit.

He shared some thingswithme about angels and how they operate in ourbehalf.Hesaid:

Youhavebeenwantingtoknowaboutconfessionandwhyitworks.YouhavebeenpracticingtheWordandputtingitintomotion.YouhavebeensayingwhatMyWordsays.NowIamgoingtosharewithyouwhyitworks.

Onereasonthewordsyouspeakaresoimportantisbecausetheangelsarelisteningtowhatyousay.PeoplethinkItelltheangelswhattodo;butmostofthetimeyouaretheonewhogivesthemtheirassignment.

I designed them asministering spirits. They stand beside you daily, listening to thewords thatcome out of your mouth. If your words are in line with My Word, then the angels go to workimmediately,causingthethingsyouspeaktocometopass.ButifyouspeakthingsthatarecontrarytoMyWord,youwon’tgetanaudiencewithangels.Theywon’toperateonthosewords.(Matt.12:8,9.)

WordsspokencontrarytoMyWordwillbindtheangels.Theywillbackoff,foldtheirhands,andbowtheirheads.Theyarebound.Theyaredesignedasministeringspiritstoministerforyou.Theylistentoyourvoice,toyourwords.MyWordisMywillforman.YoushouldalwaysspeakinlinewithMyWordinorderforMywilltocometopassinyourlife.Manwasdesignedtospeaktruth,tospeakhiswill.

Then I remembered thewords of Jesus inMatthew 5:37.He said, “Letyour communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more thanthese cometh of evil.” Jesus taught thatman should speak hiswill and notbringfoolishwordsintotheconversation.Again,thewordsofJesusringclearinMatthew12:34-37.

Outoftheabundanceoftheheart,themouthspeaketh.Agoodmanoutofthegoodtreasureoftheheartbringethforthgoodthings:andanevilmanoutoftheeviltreasurebringethforthevilthings.

ButIsayuntoyou,Thateveryidlewordthatmenshallspeak,theyshallgiveaccountthereofinthedayofjudgment.

Forbythywordsthoushaltbejustified,andbythywordsthoushaltbecondemned.

IdleWords—Non-WorkingWewillgiveaccountofeveryidlewordthatwespeak.IntheGreektext,

idlemeans “non-working.”Wewill be held accountable for thewords thatdon’tworkforus.Jesusplacedgreatimportanceonthewordsthatcomeoutourmouths,becausethewordsthatcomeoutourmouthsgetintoourspirits(hearts).

InRomans10:8,Paulwrote:Butwhatsaithit(therighteousnesswhichisbyfaith)?Thewordisnighthee,eveninthymouth,

andinthyheart:thatis,thewordoffaithwhichwepreach.

Hesaidthatwordisinyourmouthfirst,theninyourheart.

Deuteronomy30:14says:Butthewordisverynighuntothee,inthymouth,andinthyheart,thatthoumayestdoit.

Asyou speakwords, they are carrieddown intoyour inner being (yourspirit).

Jesus’statementinMatthew12:37showsthevitalimportanceofwords:Forbythywordsthoushaltbejustified,andbythywordsthoushaltbecondemned.

Ifwordsarethatimportant,theymustbedoingsomething!Theyarenotonlyworkingforyouontheoutside,communicatingyourthoughtstoothers;theyarealsoworkingontheinside,buildinganimageinyourspirit.Wherethere isnovision, thepeopleperish.As inwater faceanswereth to face,sotheheartofmantoman(Prov.29:18;27:19).

Imagesareputintoyourspiritbywords.Wordsproduceimages.

Angelsare listening toyourwords,so thewordsyou speak shouldbeyour will. You were designed in the likeness of God, in His image. Youshouldn’tspeakwordsthatarenotyourwill.

ThewayyougetangelsinvolvedintheaffairsofyourlifeisbykeepingyourwordsinlinewithGod’sWord.Theanswertomostofyourproblemsisfoundoneinchbelowyournose:yourmouth!

Thekey toprosperityand success ineveryareaof life is tokeepGod’sWordinyourmouth.GodsaidtoJoshua:

Thisbookof the lawshallnotdepartoutof thymouth;but thou shaltmeditate thereindayandnight,thatthoumayestobservetodoaccordingtoallthatiswrittentherein:forthenthoushaltmakethywayprosperous,andthenthoushalthavegoodsuccess(Josh.1:8).

Thisiswheremostpeoplerunintoproblems.TheylettheWorddepartoutoftheirmouth,ortheyreallyneverputit intheirmouth.Theymaytalktherightwayforawhile,butwhenthingsgowrong,theysay,“Whyme,Lord?Idon’tknowwhyGodallowedthistohappen.Ijustdon’tunderstand.Itmustnot beGod’swill.”They talkdoubt, fear, andunbelief; and theybind theirangelsfromworkingintheirbehalf.

ForgetNoneofHisBenefitsNoticePsalm103:1,2:BlesstheLord,Omysoul:andallthatiswithinme,blesshisholyname.

BlesstheLord,Omysoul,andforgetnotallhisbenefits.

Doyourealizewhatthisissaying?Don’tforgetanyofHisbenefits.TheangelsareapartofHisbenefits, andwehave forgotten them.Wehave letthesethingsslipfromus.Wesay,“Well,whenwegettoheaven,everythingwillworkoutallright.”Yes,thingswillworkoutfinewhenweareinheaven.But ifwe learn to cooperatewith our angels, thingswillwork out here onearthalso!

GoddesignedtheangelstohearkentothevoiceofHisWord.IfyouwillgetyourmouthstraightenedoutandyourmindrenewedtotheWordofGod,youwillseemanyofthethingscometopassonearththatyouthoughtwouldonlyhappeninheaven.

YouneedthesupernaturalbeingsofGodworkingforyouhereonearth.BegintouseallthatGodhasmadeavailabletoyou.

KingdomRulesOverAllTheLordhathpreparedhisthroneintheheavens;andhiskingdomrulethoverall.

Psalm103:19

His throne is in heaven, butHisKingdom rules over all! According toLuke 12:32, the Father gave us the Kingdom. But where is the Kingdom?JesussaidtheKingdomofGodiswithinyou.(Luke17:21.)

OutoftheAbundanceoftheHearttheMouthSpeakethFrom your inner man come spirit words which either bring to pass or

nullifyGod’swillinyourlife.Jesussaid:ThewordsthatIspeakuntoyou,theyarespirit,andtheyarelife(John6:63).

Thisiswhyconfessionissovital.TheonlywayyouwilleverbeabletooperateinspiritwordsthewayJesusandtheapostlesdidistokeeptheminyourmouth:SpeakGod’sWord.YouhavetoputGod’sWordintoyourspiritbyspeakingituntilthosewordscomeforthfromyouwithouthesitation.

Paulwrote:Let no corrupt communicationproceedout of yourmouth, but thatwhich is good to theuseof

edifying,thatitmayministergracetothehearers.AndgrievenottheHolySpiritofGod,wherebyyearesealeduntothedayofredemption(Eph.4:29,30).

ItgrievestheSpiritofGodwhenyoubindyourangels.Wordswillbindandwordswill loose; you are the one doing the binding and loosing. Thesooneryourealizethis,thesooneryouwillbeonyourwaytovictory.

PowerofBindingandLoosingWithout your cooperation, your angels are bound.Yourwords of doubt

andunbeliefwillbindyourangels.

JesusspokeofthisinMatthew16:19whenHesaid:AndIwillgiveuntotheethekeysofthekingdomofheaven:andwhatsoeverthoushaltbindon

earthshallbeboundinheaven:andwhatsoeverthoushaltlooseonearthshallbeloosedinheaven.

TheAmplifiedBiblesaysitthisway:Iwillgiveyouthekeysofthekingdomofheaven,andwhateveryoubind—thatis,declaretobe

improperandunlawful—onearthmustbealreadyboundinheaven;andwhateveryoulooseonearth—declarelawful—mustbewhatisalreadyloosedinheaven.

It is thewill of God for the earth to be like heaven. Just ask yourself,“Whatisitthatisboundoutofheaven?”

Thepowerofbindingandloosingisonearth,notinheaven.Ifyouchoosetolooseangels,allheavenwillstandbehindyou.Youhavetherighttodoso.Butyoucanbindthembyonlyafewwordsofunbelief.

One translation says, “Whatever you bind on earth, whatever you haveauthoritytobindonearth,iswhatisalreadyboundinheaven.Whatyouhaveauthoritytolooseonearthisalreadyloosedinheaven.”

What is bound out of heaven? Poverty, sickness, trouble, pain, strife,confusion,andeveryevilwork.Noneofthesethingsarefoundinheaven,soyou have the authority to bind these things on earth.Youwon’t be able tobind them off the whole earth; but by developing your faith in God’spromises,youcanbindthemoffthepartthatyouwalkon!

AccountingforIdleWordsThe angels are on your side. They want to work for you. They are

interestedinyourwelfare.TheyaredesignedofGodtodothat.Butwhateveryoubindwillbebound;whateveryouloosewillbeloosed.Ministeringspiritscanbeboundorloosedbyyourwords.Youcanloserewardorgainrewardbythewordsthatyouspeak.Jesussaidyouwillgiveaccountofeveryidleword.

Someofyou loosewordswithyourmouth anddestroy theworkof theangels in your behalf. Then you cry out, “DearGod,why didYou let thishappentome?”Don’tblameGod.Youaretheonethatsetitinmotion.Youhavethechoice:Youcanspeakfaith-filledwordsandputtheangelstoworkforyou;oryoucanspeakfear-filledwordsandstopthem.

Many times we have said things in the presence of an angel that hasboundhimwhenwewereinadesperatesituation.Godcouldhavebeenjustonthevergeofmanifestingwhatwehadconfessed.Theangelwasjustaboutto bring it into manifestation when he heard us say, “Well, it’s just notworkingout. It alwayshappens thisway.Nothingeverworksout forme. IguessitmustnotbeGod’swill.”

Becarefulwhatyousay!Yourangelsarelistening!

Don’tspeaknegativewordsbeforeyourangels.Whentheenemycomesin, like a flood theSpirit ofGod shall raise up a standard against him. (Is.59:19.)Getthatstandardraisedupwiththewordsofyourmouth.Yourangelsarelistening.TheyhearkentothevoiceofGod’sWordthatcomesoutofyourmouth.

Many a deal has been lost through negative confession. Many abusinessmanhasgonebankruptbecauseofthewordsofhismouth.

Negativewordswilldeceivetheheart.Theheartproduceswhatisputinitby yourwords. If you talk defeat, then defeatwill be produced.Whenyouspeakwordsofdefeat,younotonlybindyourangelsfromworkingforyou,butyousendyourvoiceintoyourheartandplantseedsofdefeat.

“NothingIeverdoworksout.”“I’llneverhaveanything.”“I’llnevergethealed.”

Thesephrasesareseedsyouaresowing.

When you say these things, your heart (spirit) works day and night tobring them topass.Theheartdoesn’tdecide if thewordsaregood,bad,orindifferent.ThehumanspiritwasdesignedbyGodtoproduceorleadyoutowhatyouspeak.Justbecauseyousayitonceortwicedoesnotmeanitwillcometopass.Itcomestopassafteritisspokenoveraperiodoftime.

When people hear someone preaching about confessing the Word forhealing,theysometimesgetallexcitedanddecidetojumponthebandwagon.They say, “I think I’ll try that.” Then a couple of times they proclaim: “IbelieveI’mhealed.”Whenthemanifestationdoesn’tcomeimmediately,theysay,“Oh,that’sabunchofnonsense!Confessiondoesn’tworkforme!”

Yes,itworks.Itbeganworkingthemomenttheysaidthat,onlyitworked

againstthemratherthanforthem.Theysaiditdidn’twork,anditdidn’t.Theconfession principle does notwork just because you say it, but saying it isinvolvedinworkingtheprinciple.

Also I say unto you,Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man alsoconfessbeforetheangelsofGod:

ButhethatdeniethmebeforemenshallbedeniedbeforetheangelsofGod.

Luke12:8,9

ThisisJesustalking.Hiswordsaretruth.IfJesussaidit,youcanbelieveit.Howdoyouputtheangelstowork?ByconfessingJesusbeforemen.Stopandthinkforamoment:WhoisJesus?According toJohn1:14Jesus is theWord ofGod personified.When you confess theWord, you are confessingJesus.YoucannotseparateJesusfromtheWord.

Jesuswassaying,“IfyouconfessMyWord(Me)beforemen,thenIwillconfessyoubefore the angelsofGod.” Inotherwords, “Iwill giveyouanaudiencebeforetheangelsofGod.”

“ButhethatdeniethmebeforemenshallbedeniedbeforetheangelsofGod.”IfyoudenyJesus(theWord),youwillbedeniedanaudiencewiththeangels,eventhoughtheangelsofGodarehereandavailabletoministerforyou.

The angels are governed by the precepts of the Supreme Court of theUniverse, which is theWord of God. Their job is to dowhat God assignsthem to do.As you speakGod’sWord in faithwith your ownmouth, youcommissiontheangelstomoveaccordingtothatWord.

Your angels are listening!Learn to speak theWord ofGodwith yourownmouth.Putittoworkforyou.Whenyoudo,youwillbegintoseeGod’sWordcomealiveinyourlife.Youwillgetyourangelsinvolved.

It isnotwithinyourpowerasahumanbeingtocommandangelstodoanythingyouwantthemtodo.ButaccordingtotheWordofGod,theyarelisteningtowhatyousay.Yourwordsdo,however,determinetoagreatextentwhattheangelscandoinyourbehalf.

Youhaveaphysicalbodywhichgivesyoulegalauthorityintheearthtodestroy,loosen,dissolve,andundotheworksofthedevil.Angelsdonothavephysicalbodiesaswehave.Thoughtheycan takeaphysical format times,theydonothavetheauthorityofman.Youhavelegalauthorityhere.Youhavelegalauthority tocallupon theseministeringspirits towork inyourbehalf.But they must have your cooperation. They are waiting for you to speakGod’sWord.

Someofyouhaveproblemsbeyondwhatyouthinkanybodycouldsolve,

butlearntolooseyourangels.Letthemworkforyou.

PuttingAngelstoWorkHow do you put the angels to work for you? There are two ways: by

prayerorbyspeakingGod’sWord in faith.Theangelsare listening toyourwords.Goddoesnotalwaystellthemwhattodo.Youarealsovoicingtheirassignment.Youshouldnotpraytoangels,butyoucanprayforGodtosendangelsinyourbehalfifyoukeepHisWord.

Hebrews 2:3 states, “How shall we escape if we neglect so greatsalvation?”Howare yougoing to escape trials, tests, troubles, problemsoflife,andpersecution ifyouneglectsogreatadeliverance thatangelsbring?Theangelshavebeensenttoministerforyou.Howareyougoingtoescapeifyouneglecttheirministry?

Thereissupernaturaldeliveranceavailabletoyouthroughtheministryofangels.Don’tletyourangelsstandidle.Putthemtowork.Theyarelisteningtoyourwords.

WordsandNoVoiceBlesstheLord,yehisangels,thatexcelinstrength,thatdohiscommandments,hearkeningunto

thevoiceofhisword.

Psalm103:20

WhatisthevoiceofGod’sWord?WeknowthattheBibleistheWordofGod.ButyoucanholdaBibletoyourearandnothearathing!God’sWordinwrittenformmakesnosound.Ithasnovoicebyitself.ItisGod’sWord,butthereisnosounduntilyougivevoicetoit.YoumustgivevoicetoGod’sWord!Angelshearkentothatsound.

Just because theBible says, “By his stripes, yewere healed,” does notmeanyouwillreceivethebenefitsofit.Itwon’tworkjustbecauseyoureaditintheBible.Itwon’tworkjustbecauseyoubelievetheBibleistrue.ItwillworkonlywhenyougetthatWorddowninyourspiritandgivevoicetoit.

WhenpeopletalkcontrarytoGod’sWord,theangelshear,backoff,andfoldtheirhands.

Theycan’tworkbecausetheyhearkentothevoiceofGod’sWord.

HowareangelsgoingtohearthevoiceofHisWordifyoudon’tspeakit?They can’t act in your behalfwhen theyhearwords like, “It’s notworkingout.Wewillnevergetourdebtspaid.I’llneverhavethemoneytomakethepaymentonthiscar.Youjustwatch,we’llloseourcar!”

This person is not voicing God’sWord. He is voicing the word of theenemy.Byspeakingthosewordsofunbelief,heisbindingandprovokingthe

angels.Notonlythat,hehasloosedSatantooperatewiththosewords.

YouFurnishtheVoiceforGod’sWordWhatdoangelsdo?TheydoGod’scommandments.BlesstheLord,yehisangels,thatexcelinstrength,thatdohiscommandments…(Ps.103:20).

Howdo theydoHiscommandments?By“hearkeningunto thevoiceofhisword.”Angelshearken,listen,andbecomeobedienttothevoiceofGod’sWord.TheyactuallyworktocauseGod’sWordtocometopass.

Ifyou don’t giveGod’sWordavoice, then the angelshavenovoice tohearkentointheearth.Thepowerofbindingandloosingisonearth.ThisiswheremanyofGod’speoplemissit.TheyarenotgivingvoicetoHisWord.

Whoarethe“ministersofhis”?Theyaretheministeringspiritswhohavebeensentforthtoministerfortheheirsofsalvation.

Whatdotheydo?Thisversesaysthey“dohispleasure.”

WhatisthepleasureoftheLord?ThatHisWordbefulfilled.

IfGoddesires thatHisWordbefulfilledand if theangelsare todoHispleasure, thentheywillcauseHisWordtocometopass.I foundthissecretseveralyearsago,and itministered tome.God’sWordwillputyouover ifyouareobedienttoit.Whenyouspeakit,theangelsgotowork,bringingittopassinyourbehalf.

Hebrews4:12describestheWordofGodasquick,powerful,andsharperthanany two-edged sword. Itwilldeliveryou from thebondageof theevilone.

Jesussaid:Outoftheabundanceoftheheart,themouthspeaketh.Agoodmanoutofthegoodtreasureofhis

heartbringethforthgoodthings:andanevilmanoutoftheeviltreasureofhisheartbringethforthevilthings(Matt.12:34,35).

Ifyoudon’thavethegoodthingsofGod’sWordinyourheart,youwillbeunabletobringforththosegoodthings.YouhavetogetGod’sWordinyourheartandsaywhatGodsaysaboutyou.

The angels are waiting for you to say things that will loose them!BegintospeaktheWordofGod.Looseyourangels!Proclaimthemountainisremovedfromyourlife.Say,“Iproclaim,inJesus’name,thatthemountainis removed!Themountainof financialadversity is removed!”Youspeak totheproblemandtellitwhattodo.

Areyouagiver?Luke6:38says,“Give,anditshallbegivenuntoyou.”Ifyouareagiver,thenyoucanboldlysay,“Yes,Iamagiver,soitisgivenuntomebecauseIamobedienttoGod’sWord.”Youcanactuallyspeakinthepasttense.AsfarasGodandHisWordareconcerned,ithasalreadybeengiventoyou.

Idon’tcarewhat thedevil tries to tellyou.Youcanstandyourground,shakeyourfistinhisface,andsay:

“No,Satan!InthenameofJesus,God’sWordsayswhenIgive,itshallbegivenuntome.Iamagiver.Ihavebeenobedient,andIrefusetoallowyoutorobmeofwhat ismine. I demandmy rights. I’m sayingwhatGod’sWordsays.IsayinthenameofJesusthatIhaveabundance.Thereisnolack.MyGodmeetsmyneedaccordingtoHisrichesinglorybyChristJesus.I’llnotfail for the Word of God shall never fail. Jesus has been made unto mewisdom,righteousness,sanctification,andredemption.Therefore,IhavethemindofChrist.ThewisdomofGodisformedwithinme.”

Thingsmaylooktheirdarkest,butdon’tbemovedbythecircumstances.Begin to voice God’sWord. Begin to speak it. Keep God’sWord in yourmouth.

YouhaveGod,HisWord, and the angelic host of heaven on your side.WhenGodisforyou,whocansuccessfullybeyourenemy?

Angels are verymuch alive andwell in the earth. Theyworked inOldTestamenttimes.TheyworkinNewTestamenttimes.IfyouwillgivevoicetoGod’sWord, theywillworkforyou today!Don’tprovokeyourangels—releasethem!

Ihaveprepared.

Bewareofhim,andobeyhisvoice,provokehimnot;forhewillnotpardonyourtransgressions:formynameisinhim.

Butifthoushaltindeedobeyhisvoice,anddoallthatIspeak;thenIwillbeanenemyuntothineenemies,andanadversaryuntothineadversaries.

FormineAngelshallgobeforethee,andbringtheeinuntotheAmorites,andtheHittites,andthePerizzites,andtheCanaanites,theHivites,andtheJebusites:andIwillcutthemoff.

Notice God said, “An Angel will go before thee and bring thee to theplace.”

TheplacethatGodhadpreparedwasthe

LandofPromise,thelandthatflowedwithmilkandhoney.Hesaid,“I’veassignedanangeltobringyoutotheplacethatI’vepreparedforyou.It’sMywill thatyougothere.I’vealreadygiventhelandtoyou.Itbelongstoyou.It’s yours and I’ve assigned a special angel to keep you in the way whileyou’regoingandbringyoutotheplacethatIhavegivenyou.”Canaanland,the Land of Promise that flowedwithmilk and honey, wasGod’s will forIsrael,andHehadassignedanangeltomakesuretheymadeitthere.

Yet, thousands of themdied in thewilderness and nevermade it to theLandofPromise.Everyone from twentyyearsof age andolder died in thewilderness over a forty-year periodbecause theywouldn’t believeGod andaccept the direction of the Angel. Theymurmured and complained againstGod.TheyprovokedtheangelthatGodhadassignedtothem.

Godhadwarnedthem,“Bewareofhim.Obeyhisvoice.Provokehimnot,for he will not pardon your transgressions for My name is in him.” Godwasn’ttalkingaboutpersonalsins,butaboutprovokinganangel.

An angel won’t forgive you if you provoke him. He is not human. Hedoesn’thavetoforgive.Inotherwords,Godissayingthatyouwillreapajustrecompenseofrewardforwhatyouspeak.

InNumbers 14:28God told the children of Israel, “I will do (allow to

cometoyou)everythingyouspeakinMyear.WhateveryousayinMyeariswhatisgoingtohappentoyou.”

Whathad theybeen saying?“Would toGod thatwe’d stayed inEgypt!We’re all going to die here in the wilderness!” Then snakes came amongthem,andtheydiedbythethousands.

Why?Was it God’s will? Certainly not! It couldn’t have been. He hadalreadyassignedanangeltokeeptheminthewayandbringthemtotheplacethatHehadpreparedforthem.Buttheyprovokedtheangel,andhewouldn’tforgive them.Thewords theyspokeoutof theirownmouthscame topass.Theycalleditforthwiththeirownvoice,andGodgotalltheblameforit.Yetitwasn’tGodatall.Godhadtoldthem,“Thisisthewayitworks.Whateveryousayiswhat’sgoingtohappen.Whatyousayiswhatyouget.”Andtheysaid,“We’reallgoingtodie.”Theyprovokedanangel.Manyofthemdiedinthewilderness,eventhoughGodhadprovidedsupernaturaldeliverance.

The third and fourth chapters of Hebrews explains very clearly whathappenedinthewilderness:

Wherefore(astheHolyGhostsaith,Todayifyewillhearhisvoice,hardennotyourhearts,asintheprovocation,inthedayoftemptationinthewilderness:Whenyourfatherstemptedme,provedme,andsawmyworksfortyyears.

WhereforeIwasgrievedwiththatgeneration,andsaid,Theydoalwayerrintheirheart;andtheyhavenotknownmyways.

SoIswareinmywrath,Theyshallnotenterintomyrest.)

Takeheed, brethren, lest there be in anyof you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from thelivingGod.

Butexhortoneanotherdaily,while it iscalledToday; lest anyofyoubehardened through thedeceitfulnessofsin.

ForwearemadepartakersofChrist,ifweholdthebeginningofourconfidencestedfastuntotheend;

Whileitissaid,Todayifyewillhearhisvoice,hardennotyourhearts,asintheprovocation.

Forsome,whentheyhadheard,didprovoke:howbeitnotallthatcameoutofEgyptbyMoses.

Butwithwhomwashegrievedfortyyears?wasitnotwiththemthathadsinned,whosecarcasesfellinthewilderness?

Andtowhomswarehethattheyshouldnotenterintohisrest,buttothemthatbelievednot?

Soweseethattheycouldnotenterinbecauseofunbelief.

Letusthereforefear,lest,apromisebeingleftusofenteringintohisrest,anyofyoushouldseemtocomeshortofit.

Foruntouswasthegospelpreached,aswellasuntothem:but thewordpreacheddidnotprofitthem,notbeingmixedwithfaithinthemthatheardit.

Hebrews3:7-19;4:1-2

This is what provoked the angel: They heard what God said, but they

didn’tmixfaithwith it.Theyrefused tobelieveGod.Theycomplainedandsaid,“Weareallgoingtodieouthereinthiswilderness!”Andtheydid!Theyprovoked their angel and they received a just recompense of reward. Theyreceivedtheresultsofwhattheysaid.

People talk about “wilderness experiences” and claim that thoseexperiencesmakethemstronger;butitdidn’tworkthatwayfortheIsraelites.Theirwilderness experience didn’tmake them stronger; it killed them!Weshould take heed to this and make sure that we don’t provoke our angelconcerningthepromisesofGod.

The Promised Land to us today is the promises found in the NewCovenant. Canaanland was not a type of heaven. It couldn’t have beenbecausetherewereenemiesthereandwarstobefought.ThePromisedLandwasatypeofyourinheritanceinthislife.

Ifyouaretoenterintoit,youmustbelieveandactonGod’sWord.Youwon’tbehealedbythestripesofJesusjustbecausetheBiblesays,“ByHisstripes ye were healed.” You must actively believe and act on it. If GodassignedanangeltoIsraeltobringthemtotheirPromisedLand,IbelieveHehasassignedangelstotheChurch(theBodyofChrist)tobringustotheplacethatHehaspreparedforus.Godisnotarespecterofpersons.

GodhasassignedangelstotheBodyofChristtobringusintothefullnessoftheNewCovenant.ButHisinstructionstothechildrenofIsraelapplytousaswell: “Obeyhisvoiceandprovokehimnot.” Ifweprovokeangels, theywillnotletusoff,butwewillreceiveajustrecompenseofreward.

Itisbetternottospeakatallthantospeakdoubt.WhenGodhasspoken,whoarewetospeakcontrarytowhatHehasestablished?

Letthewordsofmymouth,andthemeditationofmyheart,beacceptableinthysight,OLord,mystrength,andmyredeemer.

Psalm19:14

Lot’sWifeProvokedAngelThroughouttheOldTestament,wefindangelsministeringtotheneedsof

God’speople.

Genesis, chapter 19, tells the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Angelsplayedanimportantroleinthisactofjudgment.Hereagainweseetheresultswhenangelsareprovoked.

Andwhenthemorningarose,thentheangelshastenedLot,saying,Arise,takethywife,andthytwodaughters,whicharehere;lestthoubeconsumedintheiniquityofthecity.

Andwhilehelingered,themenlaidholduponhishand,anduponthehandofhiswife,anduponthehandofhistwodaughters;theLordbeingmercifuluntohim:andtheybroughthimforth,andset

himwithoutthecity.

Anditcametopass,whentheyhadbrought themforthabroad, thathesaid,Escapeforthylife;looknotbehindthee,neitherstaythouinalltheplain;escapetothemountain,lestthoubeconsumed.

Genesis19:15-17

ButLotpleadedwiththemtolethimfleetoanearbycityratherthantothemountains.Theangelsaid:

Ihaveaccepted theeconcerningthis thingalso, thatIwillnotoverthrowthiscity, for thewhichthou hast spoken.Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither (v.21,22).

ThesunwasrisenupontheearthwhenLotenteredintoZoar.

ThentheLordraineduponSodomandGomorrahbrimstoneandfirefromtheLordoutofheaven;

Andheoverthrewthosecities,andalltheplain,andalltheinhabitantsofthecities,andthatwhichgrewupontheground.

Buthiswifelookedbackfrombehindhim,andshebecameapillarofsalt

(v.23-36).

The two angels came to deliver Lot and his family before the city ofSodom was destroyed. Notice that the word spoken by the angel wassteadfast:Everythingtheangelsaidcametopassjustashesaiditwould.Heinstructedthemtofleeandnotlookbehindthem.ButLot’swifedisobeyed.Whenshelookedback,sheturnedintoapillarofsalt.Thewordoftheangelwas steadfast. Lot’s wife provoked the angel, and she received the justrecompenseofreward.

InLuke’sGospel,Jesussaid:But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and

destroyedthemall.

EventhusshallitbeinthedaywhentheSonofmanisrevealed.

Inthatday,hewhichshallbeuponthehousetop,andhisstuffinthehouse,lethimnotcomedowntotakeitaway:andhethatisinthefield,lethimlikewisenotreturnback.

RememberLot’swife.

Luke17:29-32

Jesus is talking about the end time. Notice His words in verse 32:RememberLot’swife.That’sthewholeverse.That’sallHesaysaboutit.He’stalking about the end timewhen theSonofMan shall be revealed, andHesays,RememberLot’swife.

WhywouldHemakesuchastatementhereinthiscontext?

Hehadjustsaid,“SoasitwasinthedaysofSodomandGomorrahwhenLotcameoutofSodom,soshalldestructioncomethesamedayweleavetheearth.”Angelsaregoingtoplayanimportantpartindirectingusinthisday.Wemustbesensitive to theministryofangels.According toScripture they

givedirectioninlifewhentheheatison.Takeheedthatyoudon’tletthesethingsslipfromyou.AnangelappearedtoPaulandtoldhimhowtosavethelivesofallthepeopleontheship.

Whenyou start believing in theministry of angels, youwill havemoremanifestationoftheirministry.Butdon’tgotryingtogetangelstoappeartoyou.JustbelievetheWordofGodandbelieveforthesupernaturalministrytocomeasyouneedit.

ZachariasProvokedAngelIn the first chapter of Lukewe find another account of an angel being

provoked.Andthereappeareduntohim(Zacharias)anangeloftheLordstandingontherightsideofthealtar

ofincense.AndwhenZachariassawhim,hewastroubled,andfearfelluponhim.

But theangelsaiduntohim,Fearnot,Zacharias: for thyprayer isheard,and thywifeElisabethshallbeartheeason,andthoushaltcallhisnameJohn.

Andthoushalthavejoyandgladness;andmanyshallrejoiceathisbirth.ForheshallbegreatinthesightoftheLord,andshalldrinkneitherwinenorstrongdrink;andheshallbefilledwiththeHolyGhost,evenfromhismother’swomb.

Luke1:11-15

Zacharias andhiswife,Elizabeth, had prayed for a son for years.ThenGod sent His angel to tell them their prayer was heard and would beanswered.GodgavethismessageforZacharias:“Rejoicebecauseyourprayerisheardandyourwifeisgoingtobearachild!”YetZachariasdidn’tbelieve.

NoticehowZachariasrespondedtothisgoodnews:AndZachariassaiduntotheangel,WherebyshallIknowthis?forIamanoldman,andmywife

wellstrickeninyears(v.18).

InotherwordsZachariaswassaying,“HowdoIknowyou’retellingmethetruth?HowcanIbesureyou’renotlyingtome?”

Andtheangelansweringsaiduntohim,IamGabriel,thatstandsinthepresenceofGod;andamsenttospeakuntothee,andtoshewtheethesegladtidings.

And,behold,thoushaltbedumb,andnotbeabletospeak,untilthedaythatthesethingsshallbeperformed,becausethoubelievestnotmywords,whichshallbefulfilledintheirseason(v.19,20).

Zacharias had provoked an angel-not just any angel, but Gabriel, theAngeloftheLord!

IamconvincedthatangelsareassignedtoseethatthepropheciesgivenintheWordofGodcometopass.Psalm103says theangelsexcel instrengthanddoHiscommandments.Angelsdonothavetherighttochoosetheirownwords.TheymustspeakwhatGodtellsthemtospeak.

WhentheWordoftheLordcametoGabrielconcerningZacharias,hewas

quick to relay the good news. But Zacharias, in a mild form, provokedGabriel with his unbelieving words. Gabriel knew unless he could stopZacharias fromspeakingdoubt andunbelief, itwouldnot come topass.SoZachariaswasstruckdumbforninemonths.Theangelknewthepowerthataman’swordscarry,soheactedinordertopreventZacharias’wordsofdoubtfrominterferingwithGod’splan.

It would be better for some businessmen if they were struck dumb forthreeorfourweekswhiletheyareworkingonanimportantbusinessdeal.Afewwrongwordsofunbelief candestroywhat their angelhasbeenputtingtogetherformonths!

Thewordsyouspeakareimportant.Assomeonesoaptlystated,Samsontookthejawboneofadonkeyandslewathousandmen—therehavebeententhousandbusinessdealskilledwiththesameweapon!

Anytime you speak out of line with God’s Word, you’re subject toprovokinganangel.Jesussaidyouaregoingtobejustifiedorcondemnedbyyour words. That doesn’t mean you will be sent to hell because of yourwords,butyoucanloseyoureternalrewardsbecauseofthem.Yourwordssetthecornerstonesofyourlife.Insomeinstancesthosewordsaretheverythingthatassigntheangelstheirjob.Watchyourwords!They’repowerful!

AngelAppearstoMaryInLuke1theangelGabrielappearedtoMary.Andtheangelsaiduntoher,Fearnot,Mary:forthouhastfoundfavourwithGod.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his nameJESUS.

Heshallbegreat,andshallbecalledtheSonofthehighest:andtheLordGodshallgiveuntohimthethroneofhisfatherDavid:andheshallreignoverthehouseofJacobforever;andofhiskingdomthereshallbenoend.

ThensaidMaryuntotheangel,Howshallthisbe,seeingIknownotaman?

(Herquestionwasperfectlylegal.Noticeshedidn’tdoubtwhattheangelwastellingher.Shejustwantedtoknowhowitwaspossible.)

Andtheangelansweredandsaiduntoher,

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:thereforealsothatholythingwhichshallbebornoftheeshallbecalledtheSonofGod.

AndMarysaid,BeholdthehandmaidoftheLord;beituntomeaccordingtothyword.And theangeldepartedfromher.

Luke1:30-35,38

Gabriel spoke the words which God gave him to speak, and Maryreceived thosewords.Shedidn’tprovokeher angel!She said, “Behold, thehandmaidoftheLord.”Beholdmeans“look.”Inotherwords,shewassaying,

“Look!YouhavefoundthewomanwhowillbelieveYou.BeitdonetomeaccordingtoYourWord.”

Maryreceivedwhattheangelsaid,andthatwordwassteadfast.Itcametopass justashesaid itwould.Maryconceived thatword inher spirit, and itmanifestedinherphysicalbody.TheBiblesaystheWordwasmadeflesh.Itwasatwofoldaction:biologicalandspiritual.

Mary received theWordofGod that cameby theangel intoherhumanspirit, thenshespoke itwithhermouth.Throughanactof theGodkindoffaith,shewenttoElizabeth’shouseandsaid,“Godhasdonegreatthingsforme.”Shespokeinthepasttense.Itwasalreadydone!

SheconceivedtheWordofGod.Itwasmanifestedinherphysicalbody.

God’s Word took upon itself flesh and was born into the earth. TheembryoinMary’swombwastheWordofGod!

ThatwasGod’sWordtoMary.Therewillneverbeanothertoconceiveachild thatway, but this sameprinciplewillwork in other situations of life.Believerswhowill receiveGod’sWord concerning healing into their spiritcanexperienceamanifestationofthathealingintheirphysicalbody.

TheWordofGodsaysyouaredeliveredfromthepowerofdarknessandtranslatedintothekingdomofGod’sdearSon.TheWordsaysthatbyJesus’stripes, youwerehealed.TheWord saysyou have been redeemed from thecurseofthelaw.

IfyouwillreceivethatWordintoyourspirit,itwillmanifestitselfinyourbody.

ThatWordofGodwillbecomefleshinyourphysicalbody.

Thissameprincipleappliesintheareaoffinancialprosperity.God’sWordsaysHewillsupplyallyourneedaccordingtoHisrichesinglorybyChristJesus.(Phil.4:19.)Luke6:38sayswhenyougive,itshallbegivenuntoyou.WhenthatWordisreceivedintoyourspiritandallowedtotakerootthere,itwillbringforthfruitinyourphysicallife.Youwillprosperandbeinhealth,evenasyoursoulprospers.

AbrahamReleasedanAngelInGenesis,chapter24,Abrahamcalledontheministryofanangel.AndAbrahamwasold,andwellstrickeninage:andtheLordhadblessedAbrahaminallthings(v.

1).

Butthoushaltgountomycountry,andtomykindred,andtakeawifeuntomysonIsaac.

Andtheservantsaiduntohim,Peradventurethewomanwillnotbewillingtofollowmeuntothisland:mustIneedsbringthysonagainuntothelandfromwhencethoucamest?

AndAbrahamsaiduntohim,Bewarethouthatthoubringnotmysonthitheragain.

TheLordGodofheaven,whichtookmefrommyfather’shouse,andfromthelandofmykindred,andwhichspakeuntome,andthatswareuntome,saying,UntothyseedwillIgivethisland;heshallsendhisangelbeforethee,andthoushalttakeawifeuntomysonfromthence(v.4-7).

Abrahamknewangelswouldgetinvolvedinwhathewasdoing.Hesaidboldlyandconfidently,“TheLordGodshallsendHisangelbeforethee.”

WhentheservantfoundRebekah,hetoldherpeoplewhatAbrahamhadsaid:

TheLord,beforewhomIwalk,willsendhisangelwiththee,andprosperthyway;andthoushalttakeawifeformysonofmykindred,andofmyfather’shouse(v.40).

WhatmadeAbrahamthinkGodwouldsendHisangel?HowdidheknowtheLordwoulddothat?

The answer is simple:Abrahamknewhe had a covenantwithGod.Heknewhiscovenantrights.HeknewwherehestoodwithGod!

The most exciting thing about this is that you have the same dealAbraham had, only better! Most people have not prospered in their waybecause they have spoken against what their angel was doing. They havespokencontrarytoGod’sWord.

Angelslistentowhatyousaydaily.IfyouspeakcontrarytotheWordof

God, they are unable towork in your behalf. Theywill not be obedient towhatyousaybecausetheyhearkentothevoiceofGod’sWord.(Ps.103:20.)If you don’t have God’s Word in your mouth, if you are not speaking inagreementwithit,thenyourwordswillnotgivethemanyassignment.

Withoutyourcooperation,theangelsarehindered.Yourwordsofunbeliefbindtheangels.Jesussaid,“I’llgiveyouthekeysoftheKingdom.Whateveryoubindonearthwillbeboundinheaven.Whateveryoulooseonearthwillbeloosedinheaven.”(Matt.16:19.)Thepowerofbindingandloosingisheldby thebelieverhereon earth.Thatpoweroperates throughwords.Youcanbindyourangelsbyjustafewwordsofunbelief!Butontheotherhand,byspeakingGod’sWord,youcanloosetheangelstobringthatWordtopassinyourlife.

WhenyouspeakinagreementwithGod’sWord,theangelswillgobeforeyouandprosperyourway.Theywillprosperyourwayineveryareaoflife—spiritually,physically,financially.

AngelswillworkforyouifyouwillturnthemloosebyputtingtheWordofGodinyourmouth.

Quitprophesyingfailure.StartprophesyingsuccessbyacknowledgingthepresenceofGod’sangelicforcesinyourlife.Confess:“Theangelsgobeforeme.Theydirectmeandprospermyway.”

When you begin speaking words of faith, you will notice a vastimprovementintheaffairsofyourlife.

Abrahamsettheangelintomotionbythewordsthathespoke.Hiswordscaused that angel to go, and things happened just exactly as he said theywould.“Themouthofarighteousmanisawelloflife…“(Prov.10:11).

ElishaReleasedtheAngelsIn2Kings6,wefindanincidentinthelifeoftheprophetElishawhenhe

releasedangels.ThenthekingofSyriawarredagainstIsrael,andtookcounselwithhisservants,saying,Insuch

andsuchaplaceshallbemycamp.AndthemanofGodsentuntothekingofIsrael,saying,Bewarethatthoupassnotsuchaplace;forthithertheSyriansarecomedown.

AndthekingofIsraelsent totheplacewhichthemanofGodtoldhimandwarnedhimof,andsavedhimselfthere,notoncenortwice.

ThereforetheheartofthekingofSyriawassoretroubledforthisthing;andhecalledhisservants,andsaiduntothem,WillyenotshewmewhichofusisforthekingofIsrael?

Andoneofhisservantssaid,None,mylord,

O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thouspeakestinthybedchamber.

Andhesaid,Goandspywhereheis,thatImaysendandfetchhim.Anditwastoldhim,saying,Behold,heisinDothan.Thereforesenthethitherhorses,andchariots,andagreathost:andtheycamebynight,andcompassedthecityabout.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an hostcompassedthecitybothwithhorsesandchariots.Andhisservantsaiduntohim,Alas,mymaster!howshallwedo?

Andheanswered,Fearnot:fortheythatbewithusaremorethantheythatbewiththem.And Elisha prayed, and said. Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that hemay see. And the Lord

opened the eyes of the youngman; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses andchariotsoffireroundaboutElisha.

Elishadeclaredadecree,“Fearnot:fortheythatbewithusaremorethantheythatbewiththem.”

What do you suppose that servant thought when Elisha said that? Heprobablyshookhisheadandsaidtohimself,“Whatintheworldisthismantalking about? I can plainly see thousands of soldiers, chariots, and horsessurroundingus.HowcanElishasaytherearemorewithusthantherearewiththem?”

ButElisha prayed, “Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that hemay see.”When theLordopenedhiseyes, theyoungmansaw that themountainwasfullofhorsesandchariotsoffire!

Who was manning those chariots of fire? The angels, the sameministering spirits that have been sent forth to minister for the heirs ofsalvation.Andoftheangelshesaith,Whomakethhisangelsspirits,andhisministersaflameoffire(Heb.1:7).

GodprovidedsupernaturaldeliverancebecauseofthewordsElishaspoke.Hecouldhaveprovoked theangelsbywordsofdoubt andunbelief,buthedidn’t.Theangelscamebecauseofhiswords:“Fearnot;therearemorewithusthanwiththem.”

This incident isone towhichGod’speople should takeheed.Whenweseetheproblemsandtheevil thingsintheworld,ourheadswanttoscreamout,“Whatarewegoingtodo?WhydidGodallowthis?”

TheangelichostofGod is listening,waiting for thego-ahead.But theycan’t move when they hear God’s people say, “What are we going to do?We’llnevermakeit!”Buttheywaitpatientlyforourwordstoassignthematask. It is time for theBody ofChrist towake up to the fact thatwe havelegionsofangelswaitingtomoveinourbehalf.

CallingAngelsOfftheJobWhen you speak things that are contrary to theWord ofGod, you call

your angels off the job. For instance, the Bible says in Psalm 1:3,“Whatsoeverhedoethwillprosper.He’s likea treeplantedby the riversofwater.”Butifyougoaroundsaying,“NothingIeverdoworksoutforgood.Ialwaysdothewrongthing,”yourwordscalltheangelsoffthejob.

Youcanspeakwordsthatopenthedoortothedevilandprovokeangels.Sometimes people pray the most beautiful prayer of protection over theirchildren.Theysay,“Lord,watchoverthemandkeepthem.”Thentheyturnaroundandprophesytothechild,“Ifyouplayinthestreet,youwillgetrunover!”Yourangelmaysay,“Idon’tknowwhytheywantthischildrunover.”The angel considers your word to be your will. He will allow what yourwordsallow.Theangelmaysitthereonthecurbandwatchthechildruninfrontofacar.Helistenedtoyourwords,andconsideredthemtobeyourwill.

Uncontrolled talk can bring tragedy to your home needlessly. Foolishwordsand foolishprayersopen thedoor to thedeviland inviteallkindsoftrouble.Jesusputitthisway:

Bythywordsthoushaltbejustified,andbythywordsthoushaltbecondemned(Matt.12:37).

The angels hearken unto the voice of God’s Word. When your wordsagreewithGod’sWord,you release angels togo andaccomplishwhatwasspoken.Youmay not say exactly whatGod said, but let yourwords agreewithHis.

For example, Jesus said, “If you give, it will be given unto you goodmeasure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.” (Luke 6:38.)Psalm1:3saysthatwhateveryoudowillprosper.Whenyouspeakasthoughthosethingsweretrue,youwillbespeakingparallelwithGod.

Whenyousay,“NothingIeverdoworksout,”youareperpendicularwithGod.Thatkindoftalkwillcallyourangelsoffthejob.Theywillletthedealyouhavebeenworkingonformonthsfallthrough.Itdoesn’tmattertothemwhetheritsucceedsorfails.Theytakeyourwordsasbeingyourwill.

Keepthyfootwhenthougoest to thehouseofGod,andbemorereadytohear, thantogivethesacrificeoffools;fortheyconsidernotthattheydoevil.

Benotrashwiththymouth,andletnotthineheartbehastytoutteranythingbeforeGod,forGodisinheaven,andthouuponearth;therefore,letthywordsbefew.

Ecclesiastes5:1,2

KeepyourfootwhenyougointothehouseofGod.Inotherwords,don’tgetyourfootinyourmouthwhileyou’repraying!

Suffernotthymouthtocausethyfleshtosin;neithersaythoubeforetheangelthatitwasanerror;whereforeshouldGodbeangryatthyvoice,anddestroytheworkofthinehands?(v.6).

Inotherwords,”Don’ttalkthatwaybeforeyourangel.”

Haveyoueversaid,“IknewIshouldneverhavestartedthisjob.Iknewitwastoogoodtobetrue.Noneofthesethingseverworkoutforme”?Don’ttalkthatwaybeforeyourangellestGodbeangrywithyourvoiceandallowtheworkofyourhandstobedestroyed.

“Suffernotthymouthtocausethyfleshtosin.”Youcancreateallkindsofdesiresbythewordsofyourmouth.It’snotwhatgoesintothemouththatdefilestheman,butwhatcomesoutofit.(Matt.15:11.)Someofthedesiresandhabitsofthephysicalbodycomebecauseofthewordswespeak.

If you’ve been saying for twenty-five years, “I just can’t eat a mealwithout pie! I just love sweets. I guess I’ll get as big as a barn,” then youprobablywill!You’vecreatedthatdesirewithyourwords.

But you can reverse that situation by saying: “I don’t desire to eat somuch that I become overweight. In the name of Jesus, I proclaim thatmybodyisthetempleoftheHolyGhost.Body,yousettledownandcomeintolinewiththeWordofGod,inJesus’name.”

It’s time you begin to undo some of the things you’ve donewith yourwords.It’stimetogetyourwordsinlinewithGod’sWordandreleaseyourangels.Thisprayerwillbeginthatprocess:

Father,inthenameofJesus,IrepentofmyignoranceoftheWordofGod.IaskYoutoforgivemeofthefoolishthingsI’veprayed.

InJesus’name,Ibindeverywordthathasreleasedthedevilordrawnhisweaponstowardme.IbindeveryhinderingforcethatI’veevergivenstrengthtobythewordsofmymouth.Ibreakthepowerofthosespiritualforces,inJesus’name.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I askYou to guideme inwisdom and understanding through thescripturalmethodstosetinmotionallthat’sgood,pure,perfect,lovely,andofgoodreport.

IcovenantwithYoutoprayaccurately.Iwillkeepmymouth.IwillspeakonlythatwhichglorifiesGod.Iwillletnocorruptcommunicationproceedoutofmymouth,butthatwhichisgoodtoedifyandministergracetothehearer.IwillnotgrievetheHolySpiritofGodwherebyI’msealedtothedayofredemption,butIwillgivegloryandhonorandpraisetotheLordJesusChristforallthatshallbedone.

IthankYou,Father,thatIamtheBodyofChrist.Theenemyhasnopoweroverme.

Iproclaimthatallthatisgood,allthatisblessedofGod,allthatisintheperfectwillofGod,allthatGodhasdesignedformeshallcometome,inJesus’name.

Alloftheevilandthebadreports,allthattheenemyhasdesignedtodeceiveme,toleadmeastray,todestroyme,myhome,ormyfinancesshallbestoppedwiththenameofJesusandthewordsofmymouth.

I’mblessedinthecityandblessedinthefield.I’mblessedinthebasketsandblessedinthestore.I’mblessedcomingin;I’mblessedgoingout.I’mtheheadandnotthetail.I’maboveandnotbeneath.I’mblessedofAlmightyGod,strengthenedwithallmightaccordingtoYourgloriouspower.

TheGreaterOneisinme;Heputsmeoverinlife.TheSpiritofTruthisinme;Hegivesmedivinewisdom,divinedirection,divineunderstandingofeverysituationandeverycircumstanceoflife.IhavethewisdomofGod.

Godiswithinme.InJesus’name.Amen!

Now,rejoice!You’vejustreleasedyourministeringangelstogotoworkand accomplish God’s Word for your life. You’ve given them the “greenlight” to bring you into the Promised Land—that place God has preparedespeciallyforyou!

10JudgingtheAngelsIn1Corinthians6:3,theApostlePaulasksaninterestingquestion:“Know

yenotthatweshalljudgeangels?”Thesaintsaregoingtojudgeangels.

Whatangelswillwejudge?

It can’t be fallen angels. Jude 6 says, “The angelswhich kept not theirfirstestate,butlefttheirownhabitation,he(God)hathreservedineverlastingchainsunderdarknessuntothejudgmentofthegreatday.”Thefallenangelsalreadyknowtheirfate.Theyknowthereisatimecoming.

Sowhichangelswillwejudge?

Every personhas at least one guardian angel assigned to him. I believeeachofuswilljudgeourangelonthisaccount:

Someof you have beenmad at your angel because things haven’t beenworking out right. Examine yourself, and you will probably find that youhaveprovokedhim.Whenyousaythingsthatdon’tagreewithGod’sWord,youprovokeyourangel.

Manytimesyourwordsaretheproblem.Yousaythingslike:“Well,thisdealwillprobablybejustlikealltheothers.Justatthelastminute,somethingalwayshappenstostopthewholedeal.”

Bygrumblingandcomplaining,youcallyourangelfromhisassignment.Youhaveprovokedhim,andyouwillhavewhatyousay!

I’mconvincedthattheangelswewilljudgeareourpersonalangels.Wewill judge the angels that haveministered for us to seewhether they did agoodjob.

Iknowofoneindividualwhosaidhefiredhisangelaftersomebodybrokeinto his house. Some people won’t even lock their homes. They say, “Myangelsarewatchingoverit.”Now,thereisnoneedtooverworkyourangels.Theywilldothingsyoucan’tdo,butdon’tputeverythingoffonthem!Ifyoucouldhavelockedyourhouse,butdidn’t,andsomebodystoleyourfurniture,shameonyou,notyourangel!

The angels are here to minister for you the things you can’t do. They

aren’theretocookforyouoroverhaulthetransmissiononyourcar.Iftheydid,youwouldwantthemtochangetheplugsandoverhaulthemotor.Theydo things you can’t do.When you can lock your house, lock it. Don’t goaroundcommandingangelstodothingsthatareyourresponsibility.

Iwillsharewithyouatragicsituationthathappenedseveralyearsago.Aman and his wife were killed in a car wreck. Everyone wondered why ithappened.Hewassuchagoodman.Monthsafter thefuneral,someonejusthappened tomention that theman said, “We have prayed that wewill dietogether.”

Don’tgettheideathattheirangelkilledthem.Hejuststoodthereandletithappen.

Let’sconsiderthishypotheticalsituation:

Someguy,29yearsold,getskilledinacarwreck.Hemakesittoheaven,butisalittleputoutwiththewholedeal.Whentimecomesforhimtojudgehisangel,theconversationwillprobablygosomethinglikethis:

“Now,guardianangel,Iwanttoknowwhyyouallowedmetogetkilledat29yearsofage.Wherewereyou?”

“Iwasrighttherewithyouinthecar.

“Well,whydidn’tyoustopit?”

“Listen to yourwords: ‘I’ll tell you, that old car is crazy! Right in themiddleofanintersection,itcoughedanddied.Ialmostgothitbyaneighteen-wheeler!Youwatch and see, that thingwill be the death ofme yet! Itwillprobablyfalltopiecesbeforewegetitpaidfor.’Yousaidthatoverandover.Thenonedayadrunkdriver ranastop light,andyourcar fell topiecesallovertheroad!”

Angels are, more or less, spiritual machines. It doesn’t make anydifferencetothemwhenyougotoheaven.Youcanassignthemthingstodobyyourwords,oryoucancallthemoffoftheirassignment.TheWordofGodsaystheyhearkentothevoiceofGod’sWordandtheyhearkentomen.Jesussaid,“IfyouconfessMeorMyWordbeforemen,I’llconfessyoubeforetheangelsofGod.”(Luke12:8.)Inotherwords,ifyouwillsaywhatGodsaid,youwillgetanaudiencewithangels.

Iheardoneguysay,“Well,Ibettergoonhomebecausethewaymyluckis running, I’ll probably get run over by a freight train.”He didn’t get runoverbyafreighttrainjustbecausehesaidthatonce.Butifhekeepssayingit,hisangelwillbelieve that’swhathewants tohappen.Youmaypickup thenewspaperonedayandreadwherehewasrunoverbythe9:23freight.His

angelwas sitting right therewith him until the train came along. Then theangel justgotout. If that’s thewayhewants togo, it doesn’tmatter tohisangel.

Parentshavesaidtotheirchildren,“Ifyouplayinthestreet,youwillgetrun over by a car.” The angel doesn’t know if that’s right or wrong. Hedoesn’tdisputeyourwords.

Thisexplainswhymanytragedieshappen.

Wrongspeakingandwrongprayingprovokesangels.

A husband and wife have a disagreement about buying a new car. Hewantsit;shedoesn’t.Shesays,“Youwatchandsee—you’llgetlaidoff!Thenwewon’thavethemoneytomakethepayments—andthenoteisdueonthishouseattheendoftheyear.We’llloseourhouse,sureastheworld!”

Now, just stop and ask this question:What is she doing?She is callingthingsthatarenotasthoughtheywere,butsheisdoingitonthenegativeside—usingtheprincipleinthewrongdirection.

TheScripturessayifamanwillbelieveandnotdoubtinhisheart,hewillhave whatsoever he says. This principle runs throughout the Bible—OldTestamentandNewTestament.GodtoldJoshua,“Don’tlettheWordofGoddepartoutofyourmouth.Inotherwordskeepitinyourmouth.”WhenyoukeepGod’sWordinyourmouth,youwillgetanaudiencewithangels.

“Then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, then thou shalt have goodsuccess.”Angelswillbelisteningtowhatyousay.Theywillhelpmakeyourwayprosperous.

Evenwhenwecallthingsthatarenotasthoughtheywereonthenegativeside, it will work. For most people it will work faster than if they wereworking on the positive side. They say, “Why is it that when I make anegative statement, it comes to pass almost overnight?When Imake goodconfessions,itseemstotakeweeksandmonthstocometopass.”

It’sverysimple.Theyaremorehighlydevelopedinfearthantheyareinfaith.

Let theWord of God stay in your mouth. Faith comes by hearing theWordofGod.Nowthatbeingtrue,wheredoyousupposefearcomesfrom?Hearingthewordsofthedevil.Themorehighlydevelopedyougetinfearorfaith,thequickerthemanifestationofwhatyouaresayingandbelievingwillcome to pass. As Jesus said, by your words youwill be justified, by yourwordsyouwillbecondemned.Yourwordsaregoingtobejudged.

Therewill be people in heaven saying, “But, Lord, I couldn’t help it. I

couldn’tgivetothismissionarybecauseIneverhadanymoney.EverytimeIgotajobIlostit.”

The Lord is going to say, “That was your trouble on earth. You keptsayingwhatyouhad,andIsaidyoucouldhavewhatyousaid.Ifyoubelieveanddoubtnotinyourheart,believewhatyousayanditwillcometopass.”

Too many Christians don’t have faith in what they’re saying on thepositiveside,butlotsoffaithinthenegative.Theysaysomanyfoolishandnegativethingsthattheycan’treleaseanyfaithinpositivethings.

Youmustbelieve that the thingsyousaywillcometopass.Yourwordsassign angels. You either assign angels things to do, or call them off theassignment by your words. Jesus says whatever you bind on earth will bebound, whatever you loose on earth will be loosed. So it’s not God’sresponsibilityatall;it’syourresponsibility.

Yes,wewilljudgeourangels.

11Angels—APartofOurDeliveranceNotice the latter part of 2Kings 6:17.As Elisha’s servant looked, “the

mountainwasfullofhorsesandchariotsoffireroundaboutElisha.”

InPsalm68thereisanotherpassagethattalksaboutchariots.ThechariotsofGodaretwentythousand,eventhousandsofangels:theLordisamongthem,asin

Sinai,intheholyplace.

Thouhastascendedonhigh,thouhastledcaptivitycaptive:thouhastreceivedgiftsformen;yea,fortherebelliousalso,thattheLordGodmightdwellamongthem.

BlessedbetheLord,whodailyloadethuswithbenefits,eventheGodofoursalvation.

Youcould say it thisway: “…even theGodofourdeliverance.”Theministry of angels, the supernatural deliverance that comes to us byangels,ispartofthesalvationGodhasprovided.

The word salvation means “deliverance, preservation, healing, andsoundness.” Itdoesn’t justmean tobesaved,or tomisshellandmake it toheaven.Itmeanssupernaturaldeliverance.

“BlessedbetheLord,whodailyloadethuswithbenefits,eventheGodofoursalvation.”Inotherwords,Heloadsuswithbenefits,eventhedeliverancethatcomesbytheministryofangels.

Now, the chariots of God are “twenty thousand, even thousands ofangels.”AccordingtothenumberofangelsgiveninRevelation,ifhalfofthepeople on earth were born again and the angels were distributed evenlyamongus,therewouldbemorethantwentythousandangelsperperson.

Habakkuk3:8givesmorelightonthissubject:Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath

againstthesea,thatthoudidstrideuponthinehorsesandthychariotsofsalvation?

Thereisthatphraseagain:chariotsofsalvation.Godridesonchariotsofsalvation or deliverance. Chariots of fire surrounded Elisha.God’s chariotsare twenty thousand, even thousands of angels.God rides upon chariots ofsalvation!

Supernaturaldeliveranceisavailabletoyoutodaythroughtheministeringspirits of God.Not only did the angels deliver from armies supernaturally,

theyministeredwisdom,direction,andguidancetothechildrenofIsrael.

AngelBroughtLightandDarknessThroughout the Book of Exodus, there were tremendous miracles of

deliverancebroughtaboutbyangels.AndtheangelofGod,whichwentbeforethecampofIsrael,removedandwentbehindthem;and

thepillarofthecloudwentfrombeforetheirface,andstoodbehindthem:

Anditcamebetweenthecampofthe

Egyptiansand thecampof Israel; and itwasacloudanddarkness to them,but itgave lightbynighttothese:sothattheonecamenotneartheotherallthenight.

Exodus14:19,20

TheangelofGodcausedacloudtoappearthatwasdarkononesideandlightontheother.ItgavelighttothechildrenofIsraelandcauseddarknesstofallon theEgyptians.This is symbolic—a typeofwhat ishappening in theendtime.TherevelationofGod’sWordthatiscomingforthtodaywillbelighttothechildrenofGod,butdarknesstothosewhowalkindarkness.

Rightnowyoumaybethinking:“Isurecouldusesomeofthosechariotsoffire,somesupernaturalunderstandingandwisdom.”

RememberExodus23:20?I’llparaphraseit:“Ihavedispatchedanangeltoyou tokeepyou in thewayand leadyou to theplace that I’veprepared.Butdon’tprovokehimforhewillnotpardonyourtransgressions.”

Israelhadsupernaturaldeliverancegiventothem.Supernaturalguidance.God sent a special angel to lead them, but they did not cooperatewith theangel.Theymissed it; theydidn’tobeyGod,HisWord,or theangel.Thosepeoplefromagetwentyandolderdiedinthewilderness.

God told Israel, “If you don’t hearken to the direction of the angel, hewon’t forgive you.” He was not talking about forgiving their sins becauseangels do not have the ability or the right to forgive sins. He was talkingaboutnot letting themoff for the things they spokeagainstGod.WheneveryouspeakcontrarytoGod’sWord,youaresubjecttoprovokingtheangels.

Thereforeweoughttogivethemoreearnestheedtothethingswehaveheardlestatanytimeweshouldletthemslip.

Hebrews2:1

12AngelsintheOldTestamentIn 2Kings, chapter 7,we find an interesting turn of events. Elisha, the

prophetofGod,hadprophesiedthattherewouldbenorain.Samariahadbeenbeseiged.Therewasnofood.

Thekingsaid,“Gogetthatprophetbecausehe’stheonethatcausedit.”

When the king’s messenger got there, the prophet Elisha said to him,“Thussaith theLord,Bythis timetomorrowtherewillbeplentyoffoodinSamaria.”Elishaeventoldhimwhatitwouldsellfor.

An army surrounded the place and had all the food supply cut off.Theking’s right-hand man said, “Why if God were to open the windows ofheaven,couldthathappen?”

Therearefourleperssittingatthegatethinking,“We’regonnadieifwesithere!Evenifwecouldgetinsidethecity,thepeopletherearestarvingtodeath.Wecouldn’tgetanythingtoeatinthere.”

Thenoneof themgotan idea.He said, “Whydon’twegodown to theenemy’scamp?Theyhaveplentytoeatthere.Themosttheycoulddoiskillus.Sowhat?We’regoingtodieanyway!Wedon’thaveanythingtolose.”

Sotheystartedofftotheenemy’scamp.That’sallGodwaswaitingon—forsomeonetomakeamovetowardtheenemy’scamp.Nobodyelsewoulddoit.

Alongthewaytheyfoundshoes,coats,andotherthingsthatpeoplehadthrownaway.Thentheyrealizedthateveryonehadleftthecamp.Theenemyhadrunoff.

Let’spickupthestoryin2Kings7:5:

Andtheyroseupinthetwilight,togountothecampoftheSyrians:andwhentheywerecometotheuttermostpartofthecampofSyria,behold,therewasnomanthere.

FortheLordhadmadethehostoftheSyrianstohearanoiseofchariots,andanoiseofhorses,eventhenoiseofagreathost:andtheysaidonetoanother,Lo,thekingofIsraelhathhiredagainstusthekingsoftheHittites,andthekingsoftheEgyptians,tocomeuponus.

Whereforetheyaroseandfledinthetwilight,andlefttheirtents,andtheirhorses,andtheirasses,

eventhecampasitwas,andfledfortheirlife.

Notice,Godcausedthemtohearthenoiseofchariots.

RememberwhenElishasaid,“Therearemorewithusthantherearewiththem?”HeprayedthatGodwouldopentheyoungman’seyes.Whenhiseyeswere opened, he saw the hills full of the chariots of fire.Well, there’s nodoubtaboutit—thosechariotsweremannedbyangels,becauseitsays,“Hisministers are as a flameof fire.”AsPsalm68:17 says, “God’s chariots aretwentythousand,eventhousandsofangels.”

Because those four lepers dared to go toward the enemy camp, Godcaused theenemy tohear thenoiseofchariotsandagreathost.Those fourleperstookoverthewholecamp,buriedthesilverandgold,andhadplentyoffood.

God is justwaiting for someone to start toward theenemy’scamp.Youwill get supernatural helpwhenyou start toward the enemy’s camp. Iwantyoutogetthispicturebecauseit’sprophetic.ThisisaparalleltotheChurchtoday. TheChurch has been sitting around their gateswith people starvinginside.AllGod iswaiting on is for somebody tomake amove toward theenemy’scamp!

King’sRight-HandManProvokesAngelAndthepeoplewentout,andspoiledthetentsoftheSyrians.Soameasureoffineflourwassold

forashekel,andtwomeasuresofbarleyforashekel,accordingtothewordoftheLord.

And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders andcaptains in thecampof thekingofAssyria.Sohereturnedwithshameofface tohisownland.Andwhenhewascomeinto thehouseofhisgod, theythatcameforthofhisownbowelsslewhimtherewiththesword.

TheangeloftheLordslew185,000men.Hewipedoutthewholecamp,thewholearmy, inonenight.Why?Sennacheribprovoked theangelof theLord.

BalaamProvokedGodandAngelIn the Book ofNumbers, chapter 22, you find the story of the prophet

Balaam.BalaksentforhimtocurseIsrael.BalaamwenttoGodinprayer,andGod said, “Don’t go because youwill not curse Israel—I’mgoing to blessIsrael.”

Balakkeptafterhimwithpromisesoffameandfortune.Wepickupthestoryinverse17:

For Iwill promote thee unto very great honour, and Iwill dowhatsoever thou sayest untome:cometherefore,Ipraythee,cursemethispeople…

AndwhentheasssawtheangeloftheLord,shethrustherselfuntothewall,andcrushed

Balaam’sfootagainstthewall:andhesmoteheragain.

And theangelof theLordwent further,andstood inanarrowplace,wherewasnoway to turneithertotherighthandortotheleft.

AndwhentheasssawtheangeloftheLord,shefelldownunderBalaam:andBalaam’sangerwaskindled,andhesmotetheasswithastaff.

AndtheLordopenedthemouthoftheass,andshesaiduntoBalaam,WhathaveIdoneuntothee,thatthouhassmittenmethesethreetimes?

AndBalaamsaiduntotheass,Becausethouhastmockedme:Iwouldtherewereaswordinminehand,fornowwouldIkillthee.

AndtheasssaiduntoBalaam,AmnotIthineass,uponwhichthouhastriddeneversinceIwasthineuntothisday?wasIeverwonttodosountothee?

Andhesaid,Nay.

ThentheLordopenedtheeyesofBalaam,andhesawtheangeloftheLordstandingintheway,andhissworddrawninhishand:andheboweddownhishead,andfellflatonhisface.

AndtheangeloftheLordsaiduntohim,Whereforehastthousmittenthineassthesethreetimes?behold,Iwentouttowithstandthee,becausethywayisperversebeforeme:

Andtheasssawme,andturnedfrommethesethreetimes:unlessshehadturnedfromme,surelynowalsoIhadslainthee,andsavedheralive.

Balaam provoked God by going to Him twice when God had alreadyanswered him. He provoked the angel to the point of slaying him with asword.

ThreeHebrewChildrenReleasedAngelWe find in theBook ofDaniel the story of threeHebrew childrenwho

wereinabadsituation.Theyhadbeenchallengedtofalldownandworshipbefore the image that had been made. King Nebuchadnezzar had signed adecreethattheyhadtofalldownandworshipbeforetheimageorgointothefieryfurnace.WepickuponthisinDaniel3,verse15:

…butifyeworshipnot,yeshallbecastthesamehourintothemidstofaburningfieryfurnace;andwhoisthatGodthatshalldeliveryououtofmyhands?

Shadrach,Meshach,andAbednego,answeredandsaidtotheking,ONebuchadnezzar,wearenotcarefultoanswertheeinthismatter.

Toparaphrasethat,theysaid,“Hey,mac,wedon’tevenhavetothinktoansweryou.We’renotgoingtoworshipyourimage.Youcanforgetit!”

Noticeverse17:Ifitbeso,ourGodwhomweserveisabletodeliverusfromtheburningfieryfurnace,andhewill

deliverusoutofthinehand,Oking.

Theysaid,“OurGodisable,”buttheydidnotstopthere.TheyaffirmedthatHewoulddeliverthem.

Somehavemissedthewholepointbyinterpretingthisscripturewrongly.Theysay,“IfitbesothatourGoddecidestodeliverus,thenHewill.Ifnot,we’lljustburn.”Butthat’snotwhatthisscripturesays.

Letmepointouttoyouwhyyoucan’tinterpretitthatway.Verse17says,“Ifitbeso…““Ifitbeso”what?

“Ifitbesothatyoudowhatyousaidyouweregoingtodo(throwusinthe furnace), thenourGod is able, andourGodwilldeliverusoutofyourhand,Oking.”

“Ifitbesothatyoudothrowusinthefieryfurnace,we’renotgoingtochange.If itbesothatyouthrowusinthefurnace,ourGodwilldeliverusoutofyourhand.”

Theydecreedadecree:“Godwilldeliverusoutofyourhand.”

Now,lookatverse18:Butifnot,beitknownuntothee,Oking,thatwewillnotservethygods….

It’squiteobvious:IfGoddoesn’tdeliverthem,theyarenotgoingtoserveanybody’s god. They’re going to be a cinder in about five minutes! Theycouldn’tbesaying,“IfourGoddoesn’tdeliverus,thenwewantyoutoknowthatwewon’tserveyourgods.”Theyweresaying,“Ifyoudon’tdowhatyousaid—if youchangeyourmindanddon’t throwus in the furnace—we stillwon’t serve your god!” This is the statement that brought the angel of theLordonthescene.

Thekingwasfuriousatwhattheyhadsaid,soheheatedthefurnaceseventimeshotter.Heusedthreeofthestrongestmeninthekingdomtothrowthethree Hebrew children in the furnace. The men that threw them into thefurnace died from the heat! But the three young men had supernaturaldeliverance.

Andthese threemen,Shadrach,Meshach,andAbednego, felldownbound into themidstof theburningfieryfurnace.

ThenNebuchadnezzarthekingwasastonished,androseupinhaste,andspake,andsaiduntohiscounsellors,Didnotwecastthreemenboundintothemidstofthefire?Theyansweredandsaiduntotheking,True,Oking.

Heansweredandsaid,Lo,Iseefourmenloose,walkinginthemidstofthefire,andtheyhavenohurt;andtheformofthefourthisliketheSonofGod(v.23-25).

Thekinglookedinandsaid,“Didn’twethrowthreemeninthefurnace?”

Theysaid,“That’sright,king.That’showmanyweputinthere.”

Hesaid,“Lo,Iseefour,andoneisliketheSonofGod!”

Whatwasdifferentabout thefourthman?Hewasanangelof theLord.Godsupernaturallyintervenedinthissituation.NowwhatcausedtheangeloftheLordtogetinvolved?Theirwordsoffaith.

ThenNebuchadnezzarcamenear to themouthof theburningfieryfurnace,andspake,andsaid,Shadrach,Meshach, andAbednego, ye servants of themost highGod, come forth, and comehither.ThenShadrach,Meshach,andAbednego,cameforthofthemidstofthefire.

Andtheprinces,governors,andcaptains,andtheking’scounsellors,beinggatheredtogether,sawthesemen,uponwhosebodiesthefirehadnopower,norwasanhairoftheirheadsinged,neitherweretheircoatschanged,northesmelloffirehadpassedonthem(v.26,27).

Whentheywerebroughtoutofthefurnace,theirclotheswerenotburned,theirhairwasnotsinged,therewasnosmellofsmokeonthem.

ThekingsaidithadtobetheSonofGodinthere.ItwastheangeloftheLord. I’m convinced that it was exactly who he said it was: the Lord’spersonalangel.

The situation that had been set up to destroy them caused them to bepromotedinthekingdom.

Therewassupernaturaldeliverancethatcamebytheministryofangels.ThenNebuchadnezzarspake,andsaid,BlessedbetheGodofShadrach,Meschach,andAbednego,

whohath senthisangel, anddelivered his servants that trusted in him, andhave changed the king’sword,andyieldedtheirbodies,thattheymightnotservenorworshipanygod,excepttheirownGod.

ThereforeImakeadecree,Thateverypeople,nation,andlanguage,whichspeakanythingamissagainsttheGodofShadrach,Meshach,andAbednego,shallbecutinpieces,andtheirhousesshallbemadeadunghill:becausethereisnootherGodthatcandeliverafterthissort.

ThenthekingpromotedShadrach,Meshach,andAbednego,intheprovinceofBabylon(v.28-30).

AnangeloftheLordwasmanifestedtodeliverthethreeHebrewchildren.They wouldn’t bow and they wouldn’t burn! Their words summoned theangelof theLord.Becauseofsupernaturaldeliverance, theywerepromoted(madetoprosper).Thefurnaceexperiencewasnottomakethemstronger,buttodestroythem.However,theangelofthe

Lordbroughtsupernaturaldeliverancebecauseoftheirwords.

FaithReleasesAngelLet’slookinthesixthchapterofDanielwhereDanielneededsupernatural

deliverance.ItpleasedDariustosetoverthekingdomanhundredandtwentyprinces,whichshouldbeoverthe

wholekingdom;

Andover these threepresidents;ofwhomDanielwas first: that theprincesmightgiveaccountsuntothem,andthekingshouldhavenodamage.

ThenthisDanielwaspreferredabovethepresidentsandprinces,becauseanexcellentspiritwasinhim;andthekingthoughttosethimoverthewholerealm.

Daniel6:1-3

TheotherpresidentsandprinceswerejealousofDaniel,sotheydevisedaplantohavehimkilled.TheyknewthatDanielprayedthreetimesadaytohisGod,sotheypersuadedKingDariustopassalawthatanyonefoundprayingtoanyoneotherthanthekingwouldbethrownintoadenoflions.

NowwhenDaniel knew that thewritingwas signed, hewent into his house; and hiswindowsbeingopeninhischambertowardJerusalem,hekneeleduponhiskneesthreetimesaday,andprayed,andgavethanksbeforehisGod,ashedidaforetime(v.10).

NoticeDanielneverdoubtedGod’sabilityorwillingness todeliverhimfrom the lions.When itwas decreed that they could pray only to the king,Danielnevermissedaprayer.HeknewthathisstrengthanddeliverancecamefromGod.

SothemenfoundDanielprayingandcomplainedtoDarius.Thenthekingcommanded,andtheybroughtDaniel,andcasthimintothedenoflions.Nowthe

kingspakeandsaiduntoDaniel,

ThyGodwhomthouservestcontinually,hewilldeliverthee.

Andastonewasbrought,andlaiduponthemouthoftheden…Thenthekingaroseveryearlyinthemorning,andwentinhasteuntothedenoflions.

Andwhenhecametotheden,hecriedwithalamentablevoiceuntoDaniel:andthekingspakeandsaidtoDaniel,ODaniel,servantofthelivingGod,isthyGod,whomthouservestcontinually,abletodelivertheefromthelions?

ThensaidDanieluntotheking,Oking,liveforever.MyGodhathsenthisangel,andhathshutthelions’mouth,thattheyhavenothurtme…

SoDanielwas takenupoutof theden,andnomannerofhurtwasfounduponhim,becausehebelievedinhisGod.

Andthekingcommanded,andtheybrought thosemenwhichhadaccusedDaniel,andtheycastthemintothedenoflions,them,theirchildren,andtheirwives;andthelionshadthemasteryofthem,andbrakealltheirbonesinpiecesorevertheycameatthebottomoftheden.

Daniel6:16-24

TherewasquiteadifferencebetweenwhathappenedtoDanielandwhathappened to the wicked men. Daniel spent the night with the lions; thosewickedmendidn’tlastuntiltheyreachedthebottomoftheden!

ThenkingDariuswroteuntoallpeople,nations,andlanguages,thatdwellinalltheearth;Peacebemultiplieduntoyou.

Imakeadecree,ThatineverydominionofmykingdommentrembleandfearbeforetheGodofDaniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not bedestroyed,andhisdominionshallbeevenuntotheend.

Hedeliverethandrescueth,andheworkethsignsandwonders inheavenand inearth,whohathdeliveredDanielfromthepowerofthelions.

SothisDanielprosperedinthereignofDarius,andinthereignofCyrusthePersian(v.25-28).

DanielGainedFavorGodsentHisangeltodeliverDanielfromthemouthofthelionsbecause

Danielstoodfirminfaith.Thereisaparalleltothisstory.

According to 1 Peter 5:8, “your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,walkethabout,seekingwhomhemaydevour.”(Itdoesn’tsayheisalion;hejustactslikeone.)

Your angels can shut the lions’mouths! Satan roars a lot, but he is allmouth!Jesusbrokehis teeth. (Ps.3:7.)ButsomeChristiansaresosoftandpliablethatthedevilcanjustgumthemtodeath!Hedoesn’tneedanyteethbecausetheydon’thaveanyspiritualbackbone.

When you begin to confessGod’sWord in faith and believe it in yourheart,Godwillministertoyourneeds;theangelswillgotoworkandbringthatWordtopassinyourlife.

JustasDanielreceivedfavorwiththeking,God’speoplewillhavefavorintheselastdays.WewillhavefavorjustasDavidhadfavorandasJosephhadfavorintheeyesofthePharaoh.

AngelCameBecauseofDaniel’sWordsInthetenthchapterofDaniel,wefindanotherprecedentintheWordof

Godabouttheoperationofangels:InthosedaysIDanielwasmourningthreefullweeks.Iatenopleasantbread,neithercamefleshor

wineinmymouth,neitherdidIanointmyselfatall,tillthreewholeweekswerefulfilled.

Andinthefourandtwentiethdayofthefirstmonth,asIwasbythesideofthegreatriver,whichisHiddekel:thenIliftedupmineeyes,andlooked,andbehold(Isaw)acertainmanclothedinlinen…

Andhe saiduntome,ODaniel, amangreatlybeloved,understand thewords that I speakuntothee,andstandupright: forunto theeamInowsent.Andwhenhehadspoken thisworduntome, Istoodtrembling.

Then said he untome,Fear not,Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart tounderstand,andtochastenthyselfbeforethyGod,thywordswereheard,andIamcomeforthywords.

ButtheprinceofthekingdomofPersiawithstoodmeoneandtwentydays:but,lo,Michael,oneofthechiefprinces,cametohelpme;andIremainedtherewiththekingsofPersia.

Daniel10:2-5,11-13

Notice what the angel said: I am come for thy words. He didn’t comebecauseofDaniel’sfasting;hecamebecauseofhiswords.

ThewordsyouspeakhavepowerwithGod,andtheyhavepowerwiththeangels!TheangelcametoDanieltorevealthingstohimbecauseofwhatheprayed.

HeardtheFirstDayDaniel’sprayerwasheardthefirstday,butittooktwenty-onedaysforthe

angeltoreachhim.Why?Becausetherewasanevilspirit—theprinceofthekingdomofPersia—in the atmosphere above the earthwhowithstood him.HehadtocallforMichaeltocomeandhelphimfighthiswaythrough.

Again,we find that itwas faith-filledwordswhich caused the angel tocomeonthescene.Daniel’swordsreleasedtheangel.DanieldidnothavethenameofJesus,butwedoundertheNewCovenant.

…atthenameofJesuseverykneeshouldbow,ofthingsinheaven,andthingsinearth,andthingsundertheearth.

Philippians2:10

13AngelsintheNewTestamentInActs,chapter5,theangeloftheLordgotinvolvedinaprisonbreak!It

seemsthattheapostlesweregoingaboutdoingsignsandwondersamongthepeople in the name of Jesus, and many converts were being added to theChurch.Thismadethehighpriestandhisreligiousgroupveryindignant.

Thenthehighpriestroseup,andalltheythatwerewithhim,(whichisthesectoftheSadducees,)andwere filledwith indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the commonprison.

ButtheangeloftheLordbynightopenedtheprisondoors,andbroughtthemforth,andsaid,Go,standandspeakinthetempletothepeopleallthewordsofthislife(v.17-20).

Theeventcausedquiteacommotion,tosaytheleast!GodcertainlyhasawayofdeliveringHispeople!ThesemenofGodwereboldlyproclaimingtheWordofGodamongthepeople,andtheangeloftheLordcameonthescene.

AsGoddiditforPeterandtheotherapostles,Hewilldoittoday.Angelsarestillintheministeringbusiness!

WordofKnowledgeDeliveredbyAngelIn the tenth chapter of Acts, we find the account of another angelic

visitation:Therewasacertainman inCaesareacalledCornelius,acenturionof thebandcalled the Italian

band,adevoutman,andonethatfearedGodwithallhishouse,whichgavemuchalmstothepeople,andprayedtoGodalway.

HesawinavisionevidentlyabouttheninthhourofthedayanangelofGodcomingintohim,andsayinguntohim,Cornelius.

Andwhenhelookedonhim,hewasafraid,andsaid,Whatisit,Lord?

Andhesaiduntohim,ThyprayersandthinealmsarecomeupforamemorialbeforeGod.AndnowsendmentoJoppa,andcallforoneSimon,whosesurnameisPeter:HelodgethwithoneSimonatanner,whosehouseisbytheseaside:heshalltelltheewhatthououghtesttodo.

Acts10:1-6

PrayerReleasedAngelNoticewhatcausedtheangeltoappeartoCornelius:ThyprayersandthinealmsarecomeupforamemorialbeforeGod.

Again, we find the power of prayer. It will bring the help of angels if

necessary.WeseeithappenhereforCornelius,andwefinditalsoinActs12,whenPeterwasimprisoned:

PrayerBringsAngelicDeliveranceNowaboutthattimeHerodthekingstretchedforthhishandstovexcertainofthechurch.Andhe

killedJamesthebrotherofJohnwiththesword.AndbecausehesawitpleasedtheJews,heproceededfurthertotakePeteralso.

Andwhenhehadapprehendedhim,heputhiminprison,anddeliveredhimtofourquaternionsofsoldierstokeephim;intendingafterEastertobringhimforthtothepeople.

Peterthereforewaskeptinprison:butprayerwasmadewithoutceasingofthechurchuntoGodforhim.

Acts12:1-5

Peterwasinapredicament.Hewastakencaptiveandthrustintotheinnerprisonwith fourquaternions of soldiers (16men) standing guard over him.ButprayerwasmadeforhimwithoutceasingbytheChurch.

AndwhenHerodwouldhavebroughthimforth,thesamenightPeterwassleepingbetweentwosoldiers,boundwithtwochains:andthekeepersbeforethedoorkepttheprison.

And,behold,theangeloftheLordcameuponhim,andalightshinedintheprison:andhesmotePeterontheside,andraisedhimup,saying,Ariseupquickly.Andhischainsfellofffromhishands.

Andtheangelsaiduntohim,Girdthyself,andbindonthysandals.Andsohedid.Andhesaithuntohim,Castthygarmentaboutthee,andfollowme.

Andhewentout,andfollowedhim;andwistnotthatitwastruewhichwasdonebytheangel;butthoughthesawavision.

Whentheywerepastthefirstandthesecond

ward, theycameunto the irongate that leadethunto thecity;whichopened to themofhisownaccord:andtheywentout,andpassedonthroughonestreet;andforthwiththeangeldepartedfromhim.

Acts10:6-10

NoticePeterwasnotworriedorfretful.Hewassleeping.Hehadfaiththathewouldbedelivered.Thoughhewastolosehisheadthenextmorning,hewassoundasleep!HiscompletefaithandtrustinGodtodeliverbroughttheangelonthescene.

14MyAngelsAtWorkEveryonehasaguardianangel.Jesusspokeoftheangelsthatguardlittle

children.He said, “Their angel doth always behold the face of the Father”(Matt.18:10).

Wehavejustassumedthattheguardianangelsleftuswhenwegrewup;but they haven’t. Angels are very much alive and active around us today.Theywillwork in theearth,and theywillwork foryou!Theywill becomeinvolvedineveryareaofyourlife—yourhome,yourbusiness,everything—butonlytotheextentthatyouallowthemtooperate.

WemustwakeuptothefactthatGodhasprovidedforussupernaturally.Angels have been sent to do things that we cannot do in our presentcircumstances.Manytimes,Ihavebeenministeredtoinwaysthatcouldonlyhavecomethroughtheassistanceofangels.

Forheshallgivehisangelschargeoverthee,tokeeptheeinallthyways.Theyshallbeartheeupintheirhands,lestthoudashthyfootagainstastone.

Psalm91:11,12

I appreciate the ministry of angels. I confess daily that He gives Hisangels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. I acknowledge theirprotectionandtheirguidanceinmyeverydayaffairs.

Therehavebeennumerousoccasionswhenangelshaveintervenedinmylife,aswellasthelivesofmyfamily.Theyareatworkmanytimesandwearenotawareofwhattheyaredoingforusbehindthescene.Iwanttosharesomeoftheseexperienceswithyou.Itwillgiveyouanideaofwhatangelswilldoifyouwouldgivethemoreearnestheedtotheirministry.

Severalyearsago,wewereflyingfromEngland,Arkansas,toministerinthe northeastern part of the state. Itwas rainy, cloudy, and foggywhenwetookoff.WewereonanIFRflightplan.Whenyouareflyinginbadweather,you depend on your instruments and the controller for directions. Thecontroller,whoistrackingyouonradar,istheonlypersonintheworldwhoknowswhereyouareandwheretheotherplanesarearoundyou.

ThatdayIwasincontactwithMemphisCenterforinstructions.

Theysaid,“Climbto7000.”

Aswewereclimbingthroughtheclouds,theMemphiscontrollercameonthe radio. “Descend to 6000 immediately!” From the sound of his voice, Iknewtherewastrouble,soitdidn’ttakemelongtopointthenosedown.

Mywifesaid,“What’sgoingon?”

I said, “My angel just tapped that controller on the shoulder and said,‘Youdummy!You’vegotanotherplaneat7000.Gethimdownfromthere!”

Ihadnofearatall.Iknewthattheministeringspiritsweretakingcareofthesituation.Ihadnodoubtaboutit—myangelwasatwork!

Another timewewerelandinginIndiana.Iwasonfinalapproachwhensuddenly I heard the tower telling another aircraft, “Turn right! You havetrafficat12o’clock.Turnrightimmediately!”

Ilookedout,andtherehewas—rightinthewindow.Normally,thatwouldbe a frightening situation, but it didn’t botherme at all. The knowledge ofGod’spromisestookthefearoutofme.Iknowtheangelshavechargeoverme,andtheyarekeepingmeinallmyways.

Angelsget involvedinemergencysituations,butsomanytimestheygounnoticed.

Therewas the timeIwasscheduled tospeakatameetingfromwhichIwould return home after dark. But the rotating beacon, which must beoperatingwhenaplaneisflownatnight,wasnotworkingonmyairplane.Ithadbeenoutforthreemonths,butIhadbeensobusyonmyfarmthatIhadnot replaced the bulb. I had intended to drive to the meeting, but somesituationsdevelopedonthefarmthatdelayedmyleavinguntilitwastoolatetodrive.SoIhadtofly.

Iknewthelightwasout,soItoldtheLordsinceflyingwastheonlywayformetogetthereontime,IneededHimtodosomethingaboutit.Thatnightafter the meeting when I started the engine on my plane, I turned on therotatingbeaconthathadn’tworkedforthreemonths.Itworkedperfectly!

Several years agomy daughter,Annette,whowore contact lenseswentoutonenighttoburnthetrash.Shelostacontactlensinthegrass.Shecameinthehouseandsaid,“Daddy,Ilostmycontactlens.”

“Wheredidyouloseit?”

“Outbythetrashbarrel.”

Thethoughtwhichcametomyheadwas,“Well,we’llneverfindit.Wemight aswell forget it.”But I hadbeen confessing all the good things thatGod’sWordpromises:WhateverIdowillprosper.Noweaponformedagainstmewillprosper.I’mblessedcominginandgoingout.

Ijustsaid,“InthenameofJesus,we’llgofindit.”

Myheadsaid,“Youdummy!Youknowyouaren’tgoingtofindit.”

Though my head knew I wouldn’t find it, my inner man acted on mywords.Besidesthat,myangelswerestandingthere.Theysaid,“Wehadbettergetbusy.He’llbelookingallnight.”

I tooktheflashlight,andwewalkedoutsidetothetrashbarrel.Iflippedontheflashlightandsawsomethingglisteningonthegrass.Islippeduptoit;and sure enough, there balanced on top of a blade of grass was Annette’scontactlens!

DuringameetinginCorpusChristi,Texas,mywifeandIwerestayinginamotel.Iwentaheadtotheelevator.Peggywastofollow.Iwaitedforatime,thenfinallyshecame.

“Wherehaveyoubeen?”Iasked.

“Thedoorwouldn’tlatch.WhenIpushedonit,itwouldjustcomeopen.”

“Whatdidyoudo?”

“Ididn’tdoanything. I justsaid, ‘Angels,you’llhave to takecareof it.Wehavetogo.’”

Whenwecameback,wehadtouseakeytogetin.Thedoorwaslocked.Whenwewerereadytogototheservicethatnight,Idecidedtofixthedoor.Idid everything—pushed down on it, lifted up on it, slammed it—but nevercouldgetittolatch.SoIsaid,“Angels,you’llhavetodoitagain.Wehavetogo.”Whenwereturned,wehadtousethekeytogetin.Thedoorwaslocked.

Thereisalwayssomebodytryingtoexplainawaysupernaturalthings.Butthesearen’tjust“thingsthathappen.”Godwantsustorealizethatangelsarevery much involved in our affairs. Then some people always look for thespectacularandmissthesupernatural.

Whileona ski trip inColorado,mydaughter,Beverly,and I tooksomepictures.Beverlyloanedthosepicturestoagirlwhohadgonewithher,andshehad them inhercar inTulsa,Oklahoma.She stoppedat an intersectionandopenedthedoorforsomereason.Theenvelopewiththephotosfellout

intothestreet,butshedroveawaynotrealizingwhathadhappened.Thenextdayanotherladywhohadgoneontheskitripwenttoherofficetowork.Thepictureswereonherdesk!Whensheaskedherbosswheretheycamefrom,he said his wife was out jogging and found them laying in the street. Herecognizedherinthephotosandbroughtthemtoher.

WhatdoyousupposetheoddsareofthathappeninginTulsa,Oklahoma?Therewouldbesomanyzerosbehindthatyoucouldn’tcountthem!Asmallthing,butinteresting.

ThentherewasthetimeIwenttoNorthCarolinatospeak.Theradarwasnot working on my airplane; so when we met with storms, we had to bevectoredaroundthembythecenter.

Isaidtomywife,“WhenwegettoHickory,NorthCarolina,therewillbesomebodyat thatairportwhowill fix thisradar.”Ireleasedmyfaith in thatstatement.

Whenwe landed inHickory, I tied the airplane down,went inside, andaskediftherewassomebodywhocouldfixmyradar.

The man said, “Radar?! We don’t have anybody that works on radiosmuchlessradar!”

Ijustwentonanddidn’tsayanythingmoreaboutit.ThreedayslaterweflewtoCharlotte,NorthCarolina.Therewere thunderstormsagain thatday.Whenwetookoff,Ireachedoverandturnedontheradar.Itworkedperfectly,paintingthosecellsallthewaytoCharlotte!

Wedidn’tgetadropofrainonusallthewaytoCharlotte.Whenweleftthenextday, itwasclear.Idecidedtocheckouttheradar.WhenI turnediton,itwouldn’twork.

Somebodysaid,“Well,iftheangelfixedit,whydidn’titstayfixed?”

Angels are not in the habit of doing things that can be done by men,unlessit’sanemergency.Theemergencywasover.

WhenItookittotheshoptoberepaired,Isaid,“Father,inthenameofJesus, Iassignanangel tostandby theguywhoworkson this radar.Showhimwhat’swrongwithitandwhattodotofixit.”Thatmanhadworkedonitseveraltimesbeforewithoutfindingtheproblem.Butthistimehefoundtheprobleminjustafewminutes.

Angelscanbeinvolvedinsituationsifyouwillletthem.Theywanttogetinvolvedinyourlife.

Angelsareinterestedindoingthingsyoucan’tdo.Now,don’tsendthem

outtooverhaulyourcarorchangeaflattire!That’snottheirjob.Theirjobistoministerforyou.

Another time Iwasworkingwith threemenonmy farm,overhauling asmall hydraulic pump.We were standing in a gravel driveway around thetailgate of a pick-up truck. While we were working, one of the needlebearingsinthepumpdroppedinthegravel.Thisneedlebearingwasaboutthesizeofapencilleadandasixteenthofaninchlong.

After looking for tenminutes,wecouldn’t find it.The first thought thatcametomymindwas,“We’llneverfinditinthisgravel.Let’sjustforgetit.”But theSpiritofGodroseupinmeandIrememberedthecontact lens.Wehadbeenlookingunderourownability.IrealizedthatIwasabouttoshutoutmyangels.SoIsaid,“InthenameofJesus,I’mgoingtofindthatbearing!”

When I knelt down again, the first thing I saw was that little needlebearing!A coincidence?No!Mywords brought the angels on the scene tohelpmefindthebearing.

ThentherewasthetimeIwasdrivingdownthefreewayinDallas,Texas.AsIwasexitingoffthefreeway,acarstoppedinfrontofmesoIhadtostopontheoff-ramp.Anothercarcamedowntheramp,goingabout60m.p.h.,andhitmycarintherear.Thegastankburstandgasolinewenteverywhere.Thecarwastotalled;butnoonewasinjured.

IrememberthesensationIfeltat themomentof impact.Itseemedasifthere were pillows surroundingme. I just floated around inside that car! Iwasn’tscratchedanddidn’tgetonesoremuscle.Again,Iamconvincedthatthe angels were involved. Afterwards, I remembered Psalm 91:4: He shallcovertheewithhisfeathers.

Thereisnodoubt:Iwasministeredtobyangels.

DivineProtectionPsalms91:5says,Thoushaltnotbeafraidfortheterrorbynight;norfor

thearrowthatfliethbyday(andwhatI’mgoingtosharehappenedatnight).

In1978IwenttoministerinBurlington,Colorado.Afriend,PamJohnsonfromTulsa,Oklahoma,wentwithme.

Whenwegotthereacoupleofnightsbeforethemeetingbegan,westayedwithafriendwholivedonafarmaboutfifteenmilesoutoftown.Sincewedidn’thaveameetingthenextmorning,wedecidedtodriveintotowntovisitsomepeople.

Beforeweleft,Ihadanurgetopray;soIwalkedoutsideintothefieldandprayedintheSpiritforfortyminutes.Ididn’tknowwhyIwaspraying—IjustknewIwassupposedto.

Afterawhile,thegirlscameoutandsaid,“Comeon!Let’sgototown.”

Thethreeofusgotintothefrontseatofthecarandheadedtotown.Wewere driving through hilly country, and itwas a dark night—nomoon, nostars,noothercarsontheroad.Youcouldn’tseeyourhandinfrontofyourface.

Whenwegotabouthalfwaytotown,wetoppedahill,goingabout55or60 miles per hour. Standing in front of us were some black angus cattlescatteredallovertheroad.

Beforewecouldhitthebrakes,wehitthesteers!Ibegantosay,“Jesus!Jesus!”The girl driving the carwas busy holding onto thewheel, but PambegantoprayintheSpirit.Itwasamostunusualexperience!

Though we hit the steers doing 55 or 60 miles per hour, we only slidforward inour seats about two inches!Ourheadsdidn’thit thewindshield.Wedidn’thit thedashboard. It felt likepillowswereallaroundus, just likewewerecushioned!

ConfessionBringsProtection

By this time inmy life, I had learned about the 91st Psalm. For days,weeks,andevenyears,whenIgotupinthemorning,Iwouldsay:

ThankYou,Father,thatIdwellinthesecretplaceoftheMostHighGod.IabideundertheShadowoftheAlmightyWhosepowernofoecanwithstand.Noweaponformedagainstmeshallprosper.

Athousandmayfallbymyside.Athousandpeoplemayhavecarwrecks,butthankYou,Father,thatYouhavegivenYourangelschargeoverme,anditwon’taffectme.

Thewaytohavesupernaturaldeliveranceistobelieveforitandconfessit!Thisisforeverybeliever.Athousandmayfallbyyourside,butitwillnotcomenighyou!

There are lots ofChristianswhodon’t believe it, and someunbelievingbelieversdon’t

Ihavealwaysheard,“Ifyouhaveachoicebetweenhittingabigsteerorabrickwall,youhadbetterhitthebrickwall!”

Whenwe hit, the impact of it crushed the hood into a “V” toward thewindshield.Theframeofthecarwasbentsobadlythatwecouldn’tgetoutontheleftsideofthecar.Thewholefrontendwassmashed.(Ifoundoutlaterthatthecarwasatotalloss!)

Yousee, Ihadalreadybeenprotected foryearsby saying, “ThankYou,Father. You’ve given Your angels charge over me, and no weapon formedagainstmeshallprosper.”Thosewordswhichhadbeensetforthinthespirit,protectedusatthattime.

OutoftheAbundanceoftheHeart

I can imagine what some people would have said at a time like thatbecause,asJesussaid,outoftheabundanceoftheheartthemouthspeaks.Whenyoufindyourselfinasituationlikethat,thethoughtsthatareinyourheartwillcomeoutofyourmouth.

Themomentwehitandcametoastop,Isaid,“PraiseGod!Hallelujah!ThankYou,Jesus!”ThosewordscamesofastoutofmyinnermostbeingthatitwashardformetobelieveIsaidthem.

In theair tragedy thathappened severalyears ago in theVirgin Islands,thevoice recorderof theplane showed that thecaptain said, “MyGod! It’sgoingtokillusall!”

I too could have said something negative about the circumstances if Ihadn’t been grounded in the Word. My inner man was programmed toprotectionbysupernaturalmeans.

EvenbeforeIfoundoutaboutPsalm91,theHolySpirithadshowedmeasachildhowtoprotectmyselffromaccidents.Ididn’thavemanyaccidents,but thingswould come intomymind. I didn’t fall and break an arm, but Iwouldseemyselfdoingit.OrIwouldseemyselfcuttingmyfootbysteppingonapieceofglass.ThentheHolySpiritshowedmehowtocomeagainstthat—andIdidn’tevenknowaboutPsalm91!

Iwould instantlyremovethatpictureof tragedyfrommymindandpicturemyselfbeingdeliveredfromit.MaybeIwouldfall,butitwouldn’thurtme.Iwouldinstantlyrunamoviebeforemyeyesandseemyselfgoingthroughthesamething,onlythistimeIwasn’thurt.

It was supernatural deliverance; I had already protected myself. ThenwhenIfoundoutaboutPsalm91—thatathousandcanfallatmysideandtenthousand at my right hand, but it wouldn’t come near me—I had doubleprotectionbecauseIhadprogrammedandrenewedmymindandmyheartbyagreeingwiththeWordofGod.

KnowingHisName

Psalm91says,“TheywillcalluponMe,andIwillanswerthemanddeliverthem.”

Godwill deliver people who call upon Him. He will deliver them, Hesays,“…becausetheyknowMyname.”

Manypeopledon’tknowtheNameofGod.ThereareseveralnamesforHim.OnenameisJehovahRapha—theGodthathealeth thee.There isalsothe God that delivers thee. These truths will deliver you if you willappropriatethem.

AppropriatingThePromise

People don’t appropriate God’s promises. Then when tragedy happens,theywonderwhyGodallowedittohappen.Ithappenedbecausetheydidn’tappropriatethepromisesofGod.Theydidn’treallybelieveitwasforthem;they believed it was for someone else. But I experienced it. You canexperienceittooifyouwillactonGod’sWordandbelieveforthesethings.

Theangelshearkento thevoiceofGod’sWord.Justafewhoursbeforethe accident happened, I had been voicing God’s Word concerningdeliverancefromevil,trouble,andproblems.

Every day I purposely confess Psalm 91. At that particular time inColorado,IhadconfesseditobviouslybyprayingintheSpirit.BeforeweleftIhad felt impressed topray in theSpirit, that is, inanother language.Even

though Ididn’tknowwhat Iwasprayingabout, ImusthavebeenspeakingtheWord ofGod and interceding about divine protection for this particularincident.

HeedGod’sWarning

Ifyouonlyknew,Ibelieveyouwouldfindthateverytimeapersonhashadacatastropheorcloseencounterwithcatastrophe,Godtriedtowarnthatperson.Iknowthishashappenedtomeseveraltimes.Godwouldtrytowarnmesomeway—tohavemepray.IfyouwilllookbackyouwillfindthatGodtriedtowarnyouofdangerasHewarnedme.

Whenwehitthatsteer,itwasapowerfulimpact.Damagetothecarwasenormous.Thoughwehadnot fastenedourseatbelts (apractice Icertainlyam not recommending to anyone!), none of us were injured. This was anunusualsituation.

All the lights on the car went out, and the car was blocking the road.ImmediatelyIsaid,“Let’sgetoutofthiscarrightnow!It’ssodarkwehavetogotobothendsoftheroadandstoptraffic!”

Sowetookoff,twogirlsinonedirectionandmeintheotherdirection.AsIwasrunninguptheroad,Iwassaying,“Oh,God!You’vegottohelpus!”

Iknewthatifanothercarcameoverthehill,thedriverwouldn’tbeabletoseeourcarsettingcrosswiseintheroadwithitslightsout.

AsIreachedthetopofthehill,Iturnedandlooked.Thegirlshadrunagoodwaydowntheroadandhadstoppedapickuptruck.ThenIheardatruckcomingupthehill.Itsoundedlikeaneighteenwheelergoingabout70milesperhour!That’swhenIsaid,“God,You’regoingtohavetodosomething!”

SomeoneFixedTheLights

Icouldhear the truckcomingcloserandcloser.AsIwas lookingat theshadow of our car in the headlights of the pickup, I saw “someone” walkaround to the front where the hood was bent and reach under the hood.Suddenlytheheadlightcameon.Thenthedomelightcameon,lightinguptheinsideofthecar.

Whentheemergencyflasherscameon,I thought,“Mygoodness!Thosegirls reallyhave it together.They’vedonesomething to thebatterycable togetthelightstocomeon!That’sbrilliant!”

Thetruckcameoverthehill.Thedriversawthecarintimetoveerofftotheright.Hewentoverhalfwayintotheditch,buthemissedthecar!

Afterthetraffichadpassedandallthelightswereoninthecar,Iwalkedbackdownthehill.Thegirlswerestillstandingatthepickuptruck,talkingto

thedriver.Thatwasaquarterofamiledowntheroad!

TheyThoughtIDidIt

Whentheycameuptothecar,Iasked,“Howdidyouevergetthedomelight and emergency flashers to work? How did you get the battery cableconnectedagain?”

They looked at me and said, “We thought you did that! We’ve beenstandingheretalkingtothemaninthepickup.Wethoughtyoudidsomethingtothelights.”

Ididn’tdoanythingtothelights!Theydidn’tdoanythingtothelights!

Andweknowitwasn’tthesteers!That’sobvious.

This happened eightmiles out of town.All around uswere farms.Onesidewasafeedlot.Nooneelsewasthere.Butsomeonehadfixedthelightsin that car so no one would be hurt. No doubt that “someone” was aministeringangel!

AngelsofMercyIn1974IwentwithagrouptoSouthAmericaonamissionarycrusade.

OnthewayhomewhenourplanegottoAtlanta,weweretoldthattherehadbeensevereicestormsinArkansasandthatwewouldbeunabletogethome.

We had been gone for aweek andwere very tired.Wewere ready forsomegoodhomecooking!

Aboutfiveminuteslaterasweweresittingthereontheplanepraying,avoicecameoverthespeakerandsaid,“Well,folks,somethinghashappened.The airport inMemphis has just been opened. It’s been iced over for twodays,butnowit’sopen.We’regoingtoMemphis!”

WeweresupposedtoflyintoMemphisandhavegroundtransportationtoLittle Rock.When we landed, we were told, “The airport is open, but theroadsareclosed.”

Wekeptthinkingwewouldgetoutoftheresoon,butitkeptsnowingandsleeting.Moreice!

ForsixteenhourswesatintheMemphisairport.Allnightwesleptonoursuitcases.Thereweren’tenoughseats foreveryone.Aboat showwasbeingheldthere,sosomeofthegirlssleptinthebottomoftheboats!

Prayer,ThenAction

I toldmyfriend,Cindy,“Idon’tbelieve thatsinceweprayedandaskedGod to be able to get back to Arkansas we should be stuck here in the

Memphisairport.Therehastobeawayforustogethome!I’mgoingtocallandtrytogetabustoLittleRock.”

WhenIcalled,amansaid,“Yes,wehaveabusleavinginabouttwentyminutes.”

Ihurriedbacktothegroupandsaid,“We’releaving!We’regoinghome!”

Theothersjustlaughedandsaid,“Howdoyouexpecttogethome?We’restuckhere!”

“Ijustfoundoutthatthere’sabusgoingtoLittleRock.”

“Oh,there’snotabusgoingtoLittleRock!Andeveniftherewas,you’reliabletogetstuckbythesideoftheroadallnightandfreezetodeath!”

“No!We’regoingtoLittleRockonthatbus!”

Whenwe gathered up our suitcases and started to leave,wewere told,“Onceyoustepoutofthisairportterminal,wearenolongerresponsibleforyou.Andwewon’ttrytofindyouifyougetlost!”

“That’s fine,” I said. Then we headed for the door carrying two largesuitcases,twosmallsuitcases,andalargeshipthatCindyhadboughtinSouthAmerica.

Whenwesteppedoutthedoor,itwasashocktoourbodies.Foraweekwe had been in SouthAmericawhere the temperaturewas about 100°,weweredressedinsummerclothes.InMemphisthetemperaturewasabout20°andtherewereseveralinchesofsnowontheground.

So there we stood in the cold, and we couldn’t find a taxi! This wasdefinitelyonetimewhentheangelsneededtobeincharge.Wehadtohavehelp!

YouHaveNotIfYouAskNot

Aswestoodthere,Isaid,“Let’sjustprayandaskGodtosendsomeonetohelpusgettothebusstation.”Soweagreedinprayer.

About that time a van pulled up and about fifteen businessmen withbriefcasesjumpedintoit.Aswewerestandingtherefreezing,oneofthemengotoutandasked,“Whereareyougoing?Whyareyoustandinghereinthecold?”

“We’retryingtogettothebusstation.”

Thenhesaid,“I thinkwecangetyou inourvan.Comeon.”Theirvanheldaboutfifteenpeopleuncomfortably,andevenmoreuncomfortablywiththetwoofus,ourship,andfoursuitcases!Butwemanagedtosqueezein.

Thedriverdroppedthemenattheirhotel,thenheadedforthebusstation.Theminutesweretickingawayanditwasgettingclosertothetimethebuswastoleave.Finally,wemadeit.

Whenwewalkedintothebusterminal,wesawacrowdofpeople.Theywereeverywhere,sleepingonfloorsandacrossseats.Therewasalonglineattheticketcounter,sowewenttotherearandwaited.

DiscouragementandWaveringFaith

Wereached the ticketwindowabout twominutesbefore thebuswas toleave.Iwassohappy.Iknewthiswasananswertoourprayer.Isaid,“TwoticketstoLittleRock,please.”

Themanbehindthecounterlookedatmeandsaid,“Lady,wehaven’thadabustoLittleRockoutofhereintwodays!”

“But, sir, when I called, someone said there was a bus going to LittleRockat3:20thisafternoon.”

“Lady,Idon’tknowwhotoldyouthat,butthey’recrazy!Doyouseeallthesepeople?HalfofthemaretryingtogettoLittleRock.They’vebeenherefortwodays.That’swhythey’resleepingonthefloors.”

Whatelsewastheretodo?Wetookoursuitcasesandfoundacoupleofseats.Iwasverydiscouragedatthatpointandjustaboutletmyfaithwaverovermy prayer. But aswewere sitting there, I said,Lord, You have to dosomethingquick.Wecan’tgetabusoutofhere,andwecan’tgoanywhereelse.Weneedhelp!

Help—JustInTime!

We sat there a little longer (with Cindy still holding her ship!), thenthrough theswingingdoorswalked twomen.Theywerevery tall andwerewearing overcoats and hats. Theywalked all around the terminal, steppingoverpeople, thenstoppedright infrontofus.Oneof themlookedatCindyandsaid,“Wheredidyougettheship?”

Shesaid,“SouthAmerica.”

Thenhesaid,“Whatareyoudoinghere?”

“Well,sir,we’retryingtogettoLittleRock,Arkansas.”

I ran to the counter and said, “I want two tickets to Little Rock, rightnow.”

“I’msorry,lady,buttherearen’tanybusesgoingtoLittleRock.”

“ButIhaveinformationthatoneisleavingnow.”

Sohecalledand,sureenough,hefoundthatabuswasloadingrightthen.Wegotourticketsandstartedforthedoor,stillluggingthetwobigsuitcases,thetwolittlesuitcases,andCindy’sbigship.Aswestruggledalong,ayoungmanwhohadbeen lyingon the floor asleep suddenly jumpedup and said,“Here!Letmehelpyou!”Itwasasifsomeonehadslappedhim.Hegrabbedoursuitcasesandranout thedoortohelpusonthebus.I’msurehehasnoideawhyhedidthat!

TheTwoTallMen

Aswewerewaitingtogetonthebus,oneofthetwotallmenwalkedupandsaid,“Didyougetyourtickets?”

“Oh,yes.Thankyouforhelpingus,sir.Wereallydoappreciateit!”

“Well,”hesaid,“Ijustwantedtobesureyoumadeit.I’llseeyoualittlefurtherondowntheline.”Thenheturnedandwalkedaway.

Cindy and I looked at each other and said, “Wonderwhat hemeant bythat?”

Thenwesawtheotherguy.Hewasstandingbehindsomeglass,wavingtous.Wewavedback.Thenhedidastrangething:hepointedtohimselfandactedlikehewasdialingatelephone,thenpointedtous.

I said, “How is he going to call us? He doesn’t have our telephonenumber.”

Then he pointed to himself again and acted like he was writing, thenpointedtous.

Isaid,“Howishegoingtowriteusaletter?Hedoesn’thaveouraddress.Theseguysarereallynice,butthey’restrange.”

Asthebusdroveaway,Ikept thinkingaboutwhathehadsaid,“I’llseeyoua little furtherondown the line.”Butweweresoexcited tobeon thatbus,wedidn’tcarewhathappened.Weweregoinghome!

The bus stopped about thirtymiles fromMemphis. As wewere sittingthere, I looked out the window. There stood the man with the overcoat!

“Cindy, look!Wheredidhecomefrom?Hewasn’ton thebus.”Hesmiled,waved, and we waved back.We looked at each other again, thinking howunusualitwas.

Afterdrivingafewmoremilesdowntheroad,thebusstoppedagain.Thistime Iwas almost afraid to look out thewindow.When I did glance over,therehewasagain!Hewaved,andwewavedback.

Thensuddenlymylightningfastmindcaughtit!Insignlanguage,tosaymessenger,youfirstmakethesignformessage,thenyoumaketheshapeofaperson. That makes message a personal noun, messenger. When that manactedlikehewaswritingonatablet,hewassayingmessage.Thenhepointedtohimself,meaningmessenger.

“Cindy,”Igasped,“that’sanangel!”

The Word of God says that angels are messengers. God had sent twoangelstosupernaturallygetusonthebus.

Thenasweheadeddown the road, Ibegan to see things along thewaythatlookedfamiliar.SoIwalkedtothefrontofthebusandsaid,“Excuseme,sir.DoesthisbusgothroughEngland,Arkansas?”

“Yes,itsuredoes.”

“Thenwouldyoupleasestopandletusoffwhenwegetthere?”

Thatbusletusoffonthecornerofthemainstreetinmyhometown!

Now,whatdoestheBiblesayaboutangels?TheBiblesays,Aretheynotallministering spirits, sent forth tominister for themwho shall be heirs ofsalvation?(Heb.1:14).

God didn’t send those angels so that I could say, “I saw one!”He sentthembecausewewereinamomentofneed.

IhavetheutmostconfidencethatGodwillprovidesupernaturalhelpforus in any problem, difficulty, or need, wherever we are on earth; and ifnecessary,Godwillsendlegionsofangelstohelp.

Angelsarereal.Theyaresenttoministerforus!

According to this scripture,God takes pleasure in the prosperity ofHisservants.Well, ifHe takes pleasure in the prosperity ofHis servants, don’tyou thinkHewould takeevenmorepleasure in theprosperityofHis sons?Galatians4:7sayswearenotservants;wearesons,joint-heirswithJesus.ItgivesGodpleasurewhenweprosper.

SomepeoplethinkGodwantsustoalwayshaveproblemsandbeinlackinthislife.ButifGodtakespleasureintheprosperityofHispeopleanditisthe angels’ job to do God’s pleasure, then they must prosper people!RememberAbraham’swords tohisservant:“Theangelswillgobeforeyouandprosperyourway.”

Theangelswillhelpus ifwebelieve in themandspeakwordsof faith.Psalm 107:2 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hathredeemedoutofthehandoftheenemy.”Butmanywouldnotdaresayso.Inotherwords,speakwhatGodsaysaboutthesituationsoflife.

TheangeloftheLordencampethroundaboutthemthatfearhim,anddelivereththem.

Psalm34:7

WhentheangeloftheLordencampsroundaboutyoutodeliveryou,thenyouwillbedelivered!

Howdoyou release the angels?Howdoyouget them involved so thattheyministerforyou?Predominantlyintwoways:

1.KeepGod’sWordinyourmouth.

2. Pray. Jesus saidHe could pray and getmore than 72,000 angels.Theyareavailabletoyouaswell.

TakePsalm91andmakeitpersonal.Readandconfessitthisway:

I dwell in the secret place of theMostHigh. Therefore, I shall abide under the shadow of theAlmighty.

IwillsayoftheLord,Heismyrefugeandmyfortress:myGod;inhimwillItrust.Surelyheshalldeliverme fromthesnareof the fowlerandfromthenoisomepestilence.Heshallcovermewithhisfeathers,andunderhiswingsshallItrust:histruthshallbemyshieldandbuckler.

These verses of Scripture describe the person who places his trust,confidence, and faith in theMostHighGod.Butnotonlydoeshedwell inthatsecretplaceandabideunderthatshadow,healsosayssomething:Iwillsay of theLord,He ismy refugeandmy fortress:myGod; inhimwill Itrust.ThispsalmshouldbetheboldconfessionofeverychildofGod.

Somemay say, “I know someonewho tried that, but it didn’twork forthem!”Thereareprobablymorepeople that itdoesnotworkfor than thosethatitdoesworkfor.Butthatdoesn’tchangetheWordofGod.“Athousandmayfallatmyside,andtenthousandatmyrighthand;butitshallnotcomenighme.”

ThelastthreeversesofPsalm91arespokenfromGodtowardus:Becausehehathsethisloveuponme,thereforewillIdeliverhim:Iwillsethimonhigh,because

hehathknownmyname.

WhatisGod’sname?

He isEl Shaddai—the Almighty God, the All Sufficient One, the GodWhoismorethanenough!

HeisJehovah-Rapha,theLordGodthathealeththee.

HeisJehovah-Jireh,theLordGodthatsupplies.

Somanydon’tknowGod’sname.Iftheydon’tknowtheseareHisnames,howcantheycalluponHimforthesethings?

Heshallcalluponme,andIwillanswerhim:Iwillbewithhimintrouble;Iwilldeliverhim,andhonourhim.

WithlonglifewillIsatisfyhim,andshewhimmysalvation.

OurGodwillshowussalvation—deliverance,preservation,healing,and

soundness.
